Yerby, Emma Lou

Emma Lou Yerby, age 61, of Plain view, TX, died February 12, 1998 at her residence. She was born October 11, 1936 in Waveland, AR. She was married to Ralph Yerby in Plainview, TX on July 31, 1955. She graduated Plainview High School in 1954 and completed Drawn's Business College, worked for the Charming and Happy School Districts as a school bus driver and secretary and worked at Wal-Mart Pharmacy as an aid. She was a member of 9th & Columbia Sts. Church of Christ and taught Sunday school.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph of the home; a son, Terry Yerby of Plainview, TX; three daughter, Patricia Duncan of Lubbock, TX, Lisa Hooser of Amarillo, Tx and Julie Clifton of White Deer, TX; two brothers, John McCourt of Danville, AR and Melvin McCourt of Havana, AR; two sisters, Edna Belle Wiseman of Waveland, AR and Mary Thomas of Lake City, AR and two grandchildren.

Funeral service was February 14, 1998 at 9th & Columbia Sts. Church of Christ in Plainview, TX with Vance Crowe, camp director of Camp Blue Haven, Canyon, TX, officiating. Yerby, Robert James "Bob"

Robert James "Bob" Yerby scored his first touchdown in the fields of Heaven as he passed from this life to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, November 27, 2010. He was 68 years old. He was born December 19, 1941 to Robert Ralston and Mary Curtis Utley Yerby.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Julie Elise Yerby; a special cousin, Alan Holt; several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Christine Faucett Yerby; a son, Scott Patrick Yerby and wife, Lisa; a daughter, Lori Anne Pratt and husband, Matt; a daughter, Lynn Michelle Hodges and husband, Jim; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; several cousins and a host of friends. A Memorial celebrating his life will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle.

Yingling, Lee Travis

Lee Travis Yingling, of Benton, longed for the day he would see his parents and grandparents again. On July 13, 2015, at age 80, that day arrived. Travis unexpectedly died at the Arkansas Heart Hospital after a three week struggle with the complications from a tick-borne illness.

He was preceded in death by his birth father, Lloyd Yingling, mother Lena Frazier Yingling Bragg, adoptive father A. R. Bragg, Jr., step-granddaughter Robin Nicole Yates, and step great-granddaughter Robin Marie Yates.

Travis is survived by his wife, Edna Dooley Yates Yingling of Benton; sisters Mary Elizabeth (Don) Edwards of San Marcus, TX, Brenda (Butch) LaBee and January (Clifton) Sheridan both of Benton; children Ross (Carol) Yingling of Conway and Beth Yingling of Bryant; stepchildren Billy (Jill) Yates of Plainview, John (Kim) Yates of Rover, and David "Hoss" (Janice) Yates of Dardanelle; 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Travis was a 1953 graduate of Bauxite High School, attended Little Rock University (LRU), and numerous real estate, insur- ance, and appraisal schools. A respected member of the Benton business community, he was a former banker, real estate and insurance agent, Community Development Director for the City of Benton, and the past 39 years owned Yingling Real Estate Appraisal Service. Travis was a faithful and much-loved member of Grace Church in Bryant, serving on the Board of Directors and praise team. He cherished his family and supported them in whatever they did. He was known by many names including Daddy, Trav, Travalee, Pop Pop, Paw, and Paw Travis. He was happiest when he was calling the hogs while watching his beloved Razorbacks with his family and friends.

Visitation was held from 6- 8 pm, Friday, July 17th, at Grace Church in Bryant. Funeral services was at Grace Church at l pm, Saturday, July 18th. Burial was in Forest Hills Cemetery, in Alexander. Night Watchman Dies of Heart Attack - H. York, Danville night watchman, died of a heart attack about midnight Wednesday night. He became ill after reporting for work and died a few minutes after being taken to the hospital here. He had suffered a heart condition for some time and was planning to go to the VA Hospital in little Rock today. Hugh Melton York, aged 66, died October 1, 1958 in the Yell County Hospital at Danville. He was a veteran of World War 1, a Baptist and was night watchman and city marshal at Danville.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lula Belle York; four daughters, Mrs. Jack Cline, Willa Emma York and Rebecca Lee York of Belleville and Mrs. J. D. Budlong of Memphis; two sons, James York of Belleville and Joe York of Danville; one brother, Bill York of Belleville; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. York, James Allen

James Allen York Sr. age 84 of Belleville died Saturday at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. Mr. York was born March 28, 1921 in Hughes County, Oklahoma to the late Hugh Melton and Lula Belle Inghram York. He was a heavy equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, James A. Jr. "Bim" and Connie York of Belleville, four daughters and sons-in-law, Allene and David Kimball and Carolyn Bower-man all of Havana, Mary and George Butler of Arlington, Texas, Sherri and Stewart Blalack of Hector, a brother Joe York of Danville, three sisters, Willa Farrow and Rebecca Duncan, both of Belleville, Anna Laurie Bud-long of Rover, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

James William York, age 73, of Danville died March 27 in the Yell County Hostpial in Danville. He was a veteran of World War I and a retired blacksmith.

He is survived by two sons, Rudolph York of Luther, Okla., and James Gerald York of Spencer, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Lahoma Burgess of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Joe Bob York, age 75, of Danville, died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Dardanelle Nursing Center & Rehab. He was born October 20, 1931 in Belleville, Arkansas to the late Hugh & Lula Inghram York. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Centerville First Baptist Church, and a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by brothers James York, Hugh York, Norman York and Henry York; sisters, Helen Clines, Bessie Mae George and Ruby Nell.

Adam Lee Young, infant, a resident of Ola, AR died Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock. He was born July 18, 2000 at Little Rock to Anthony and Jamee Young.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lena Mae Colbert.

Arvanel Dacus Young, age 86, of Danville died Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Mitchell's Nursing Home. Born July 20, 1921, in Chickalah, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mattie (Hancock) Dacus. Mrs. Young was a retired nurse's aid and a member of the Ola Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daymond M. Young; sisters, Mildred George and Ernestine Jones; and a brother, Claude Dacus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee Franklin Young; son, Larry Clinton Young; son-in-law, Paul Norton; sibling, Loraine Emery, Lloyd Solley, Lois Goines, Zelfar Alexander, R.B. Ball, Anna Jean Metcalf and Don Solley.

Young, Charles Austin "Nub"

Charles Austin "Nub" Young, 75, was born on May 1, 1939 to Clifton Young and Ruth Montgomery. Having been born in Frog Level, Arkansas, the Lord showing his sense of humor brought Nub to Toad Suck, Arkansas where he graduated to glory surrounded by his loving family, on July 5, 2014. Nub graduated from DeQueen High School in 1957, where he set a school record for pole-vaulting in track and field. He attended the University of Arkansas where he majored in business. An active servant of the Lord, he was ordained at the age of 25, the youngest to be ordained at DeQueen First Baptist Church, where he also served as chairman of the deacons. He later held this position at both Ripley Baptist and Trinity Baptist in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Nub was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years and was a member of South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He and his wife Doylene were Severe County Farm Family of the year. He owned H&H Wholesale Florists and The Lollipop Shop in DeQueen, Arkansas, and a Chicken Brokerage Firm called Midwest Foods of Texas. He was also employed by Mountaire Poultry, later known as Pilgrim's Pride, as a Grower, Sales Manger, and as an Auditor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Vernon Young; and mother-in-law Lona Kitchens.

Nub is survived by his wife Doylene Selman Young, they began their journey together on July 5, 1959 and ended their earthly journey on July 5, 2014; his three daughters and three sons-in-love, Laura Walls (Butch), Sheila Eddy (Scott), Kristen "KiKi" Fobell (Chris); Papa to 11 grandchildren, Travis Walls, Tara Adams (Nate), Tyler Walls (Ashley), Sarah, Rebekah, & Daniel Eddy, Kaitlyn Bretches, Parker Jones, Victoria, Jillian, and Abigail Fobell; two great grandchildren Justice & Gracelyn Walls; his sister Erma Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews. The celebration of Nub's life will be held at South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas on Sunday, July 13th at 2:00 pm. Mrs. Clara Rachel Young, age 84, of Centerville, AR died Saturday, March 1, 1997 at her home in Centerville. She was born March 31, 1912 in Casa, AR to the late George Washington and Lula Mae Dean. She was a homemaker, mother and member of the Perryville Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Young.

Young, Cyril Rufus

DARDANELLE - Cyril Rufus Young, 93, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 17, 1919, at Adona, Perry County, to the late Rufus Arnold Young and Connie Gertrude Green Young. He was ordained as an Assembly of God minister in 1968 pastoring London Assembly of God for seven years, Centerville Assembly of God for 13 years, and the last one being the South New Hope Assembly of God Church for 18 years. He was a self-made man who believed in people and wasn't afraid to take a chance. He loved God and used his talents to build human lives, and as a carpenter to build and improve churches. He loved to hunt, fish, sing and play the guitar. His last enjoyment in life came from a tiny baby kitten he called "crybaby" who was dropped off on his carport. He said, "It can't fend for itself, feed it." He loved to watch it play and said he wouldn't take $50 for the kitten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Arnold Young and Connie Gertrude Young; his first wife, Rev. Zula Bee Young; three sisters, Ruby Young, Thera I. Young and Maxine Hunter; and three brothers, Veda Young, Pecie Young and his twin, Cedric Young.

Survivors include his wife, Verlan Young of Dardanelle and many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the South New Hope Assembly of God Church located at 210 Howell Drive, just off State Highway 247, with the Revs. Aimee McClaren, Wilma Whorton and Norman Chenowith officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle. Visitation will be conducted from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Young, Danny Lloyd

Danny Lloyd Young, age 71, of Russellville died Saturday, May 13, 2017, at his home. He was born December 12, 1945, at Danville to the late Albert Lloyd and Lois Glen Young. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was retired from Firestone in Russellville. He was a huge Razorback fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children, LeAnn McEowen, Tim Young and Brittany Cunningham; brothers, Dal Young (Helen), Doyle Young (Linda); 5 grandchildren, Grayson, Easton, Ryker, Katelyn and Michaela. And a host of friends and family.

Elza Roy Young, aged 38, of the Mount George community near Dardanelle died December 23. He was an oil station operator, veteran of World War II, and a member of the Naval Reserves and was a Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Lenett Young of California, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.G. Littleton of Mount George; three brothers, Clarence Young of Oregon, James Young of Dardanelle and Raymond Young of Danville; and one sister, Mrs. Milton Wilson of Minnesota.

Harlond Eugene Young, 65, of Havana, Arkansas passed away April 4, 2005 in his home in Havana. He was a former restaurant owner and poultry farmer. He was a member of the Wilson Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Young of the home; three daughters, Barbara Jean Bland of Dardanelle, AR, Deborah Rohde and Michelle Young both of Havana, AR; one brother, Gary Don Young of Little Rock, AR; one sister-in-law, Loretta Fulford and husband Paul of North Little Rock, AR.

Young, James Charles

James Charles Young, Sr. age 64, of Dardanelle, AR died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at his home. He was born March 14, 1938 in Rosston, AR to the late J. L. and Myrna Young. He was retired from Bridgestone/Firestone in Russellville, was a member of the Bright Future Masonic Lodge 124 in Danville, and the Trinity United Methodist Church in Danville and was an Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Paul Staples.

Survivors are, one son and daughter-in-law, James Charles, Jr. and Charlotte Young of Paducah, KY; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Bill Paul Raymond of Little Rock, AR, Lisa and Arthur Taylor and Wendy Thompson all of Dardanelle and Marcy Young of Colorado Springs, CO; his aunt, Gertie Blake of Hope, AR; two brothers, three sisters, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Service was April 2, 2002 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle, AR with Rev. Casper Pinkney, Rev. John Dean, Rev. Alex Bray and Rev. David Hawkins officiating. Interment was in New Salem Church Cemetery at Rosston, AR. Pallbearers were Luther Gilkey, Obie Woods, Robert Woods, Donald Bazzell, Ronnie Davis, Charles Webster. Young, Jesse Ray

Jesse Ray Young, age 20, of Rover died Thursday, June 30, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born August 30, 1995, at Russellville to Charles Young and Mildred Lavigne. He was a member of the Arkansas River Valley Cherokee Church and was a graduate of Two Rivers High School. He loved football, going fishing and just being in the outdoors. The most important thing in Jesse's life was his family.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Annabelle Alexis Young and one brother, John David Young.

Survivors include his loving wife, Whitley and daughter, Elayna May Young of Dardanelle; mother and father Mildred and Charles Young Jr of Rover; two brothers, Billy Carl Young and Fred C. Young both of Rover; two sisters, Cynthia Bernice Young of Rover, Ann Marie Winkler of Hensley; father and mother-in-law, Leon and Rhonda Hubbard of Dardanelle, Robyn Hubbard sister-n-law, and Seth Hubbard brother-in-law, the little brother he always wanted and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held at 1:OO PM., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 5735 Buck Mtn. Road, Dover, Arkansas.

Lois Mae Young, age 87 of Ola, died Thursday, March 6, 2003 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola. She was born August 5, 1915 in Gravelly, Arkansas to the late Verd and Flora Gordon Walker. She was a homemaker and mother.

Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, Chester Lee and Debi Young of Tulsa and one granddaughter, Jodie Lynn Young of Tulsa.

Lonnie O. Young, age 85, of Poteau, OK died Monday, September 11, 1995 at a hospital in Poteau. He was retired from Frisco Rail Road.

Mickey Dal Young, age 43, of Hot Springs, AR died Monday, May 3, 2004. He was born in Russellville, AR on August 25, 1960. He was a 1978 graduate of Danville High School, a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Biology and also a graduate of the Camden Police Academy. He served 10 years with the Little Rock Police Department.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ovid McBride and Lloyd and Lois Young.

He is survived by three children, Amanda, Matthew and Marcus Young all of Conway; his mother and step-father, Brenda and Dennis Davin of Maumelle, AR; father and step-mother of Bentonville, AR; grandmother, Mattie McBride of Danville, AR and a special friend, Christie Welch of Hot Springs, AR.

Patricia Ann Young, age 70, of Dardanelle died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born April 13, 1943 at Napa, California to the late Spencer and Martha Williams Tester.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Chet Tester and a sister, Rhea Stock all of California.

Young, Raymond Dale

Raymond Dale Young, age 19, of the Mt. George community died from injuries suffered in an auto accident June 22. Mr. Young was employed by the Northern Construction Co. of Ft. Smith, contractors on Highway No. 154. He was a native of Minneapolis Minn., a son of the late Clarence Richard Young and Neva Gardner Young Littleton. Mr. Young had lived in Arkansas since 9 months of age. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. D.G. Littleton of Mt. George; two brothers, James Young of Dardanelle and Jerry Young of Coos Bay, Oregon; and one sister, Mrs. Neva Wilson of Waubun, Minn.

DARDANELLE - Raymond Ottis Young, age 60, of Dardanelle died Friday, January 9, 1987 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was a native of the Chickalah Mountain community, a retired employee of the Arkansas Highway Department, son of the late John and Beulah Walker Young and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thurl Roberts Young; two sons, Buddy Young of Little Rock and Lynn Young of Dardanelle; two daughters, Billie Taylor of Clarksville and Lesa Kelly of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Daymond Young of Plainview and Leo Young of Little Rock, and eight grandchildren.

October 15, 1946 - December 20, 2009 Richard L. Young, 63, of Timberon, New Mexico, passed away December 20, 2009 in Alamogordo, NM.

A Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 26, 2009, 11:00 AM, at Church Street Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bill Proulx officiating. Young was born October 15, 1946 in Princeton, KY to Everett Woodrow and Mary Elizabeth (Creedmur) Young. He moved to Carlsbad with his family as a young boy and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1964. Richard married his high school sweetheart, Jeanette Janway, on February 10, 1967. He worked for O'Neal Motors for a number of years and later co-owned Young-Thomas Dodge. Richard was a member of Timberon Chapel and Timberon Volunteer Fire Department. He wrote and played gospel songs. Richard enjoyed bow hunting, golfing and anything involving cars, especially racing. And last but not least he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Ardell and Gloria Janway and brother, Woody Young.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Young of Timberon, NM; two sons: Jeff Young and fiance, Tiffawnie of Carlsbad, NM, Jerry Young and wife, Nicole of Carlsbad, NM, seven grandchildren: Ian Young, Zachary Young, Charise Young, Paxton Long, Phillip Hale, Peyten Hale, Roycee Long, two brothers: Kenneth Young of KY, Steve Young of Carlsbad, NM; two sisters-in-law: Linda Dossey of Carlsbad, NM, Loretta Freeman of Carlsbad, NM; brother-in-law, Dale Janway and wife, Cheryle of Carlsbad, NM; numerous nieces and nephews and his brother in the Lord, Butch Haupt of Timberon, NM.
