Robert D. Young, 25, of Coffeyville, Kansas, died November 27 at his parents cabin on a lake near Dearing. He had been in failing health for a year.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Young of Coffeyville; his wife, and daughter, DeLynda Joy, of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jerry Young of Coffeyville; and grandmother, Mrs. Lona Young of Seminole, Okla. Robert J. Young, age 73 of Plainview, died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. A son of the late Hugh and Addie Adeline Morrow Young. He was born August 6, 1928, at Nimrod, Arkansas. He was a timber sales administrator for the United States Forest Service, a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge 70, the Perryville Masonic Lodge, the Cattleman's Association and the Farm Bureau. He attended the Nimrod Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Bruck, and a brother, Bennie Young.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Evelyn Flewellen Young; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Nancy Young of Birta and Jim and June Young of Bismark, AR; a daughter, Virginia Tallent of Benton; a brother, Stanley Young of Columbia, Tennessee; three grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Dave and Sally Tallent of Traskwood, Arkansas, Clay Young and Adam Young, born of Bismark; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kathy Young Turner and Chad Turner of Birta and three great grandchildren, Ashley and Calee Turner, both of Birta and Dustin Bradbury of Benton.
Funeral service was Monday, June 10, 2002 at the Nimrod Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Harriston officiating. Burial was in the Nimrod Cemetery, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Active pallbearers were Gib Blackman, Stanley Howard, Bob McComb, Troy McConnell, Mark McNeal, Keith McNeal, and Monty Vandeviere. Sherman Young, 77, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at his home. He was born December 13, 1929, at Reader, AR, to the late James A. and Bessie Cornelius Young. He was a retired electrician, a Navy Veteran, a lifetime member of the Dardanelle VFW Post 3141, Electrician Local Union 700, Local Union of Ever-So-Fast, Dardanelle.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Young of Dardanelle; daughter, Karen Dove of Centerville, GA; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 6, 2007, 2:00 p. m. at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle. Interment will be in Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle, with Military Honors by Boyce Woods, VFW Post 3141. Visitation was Friday 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. Walter Russell Young, 64, of Waldron, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Mercy Hospital of Scott County, Waldron, AR from metastatic malignant melanoma. He was born January 27, 1946 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Walter Louis and Hazel Taylor Young. He was a member of the Dayton Church of Christ and a 1963 graduate of Covington High School, Covington, Louisiana; graduated in 1967 from LSU, Baton Rouge with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and graduated in 1975 from LSU Medical School, New Orleans with a M. D. degree. He began a private practice in family medicine at Brookhaven, MS in July 1976. He moved to Waldron, AR in 1983 and remained in private practice until March 19, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; daughter, Christy Long and husband, James of Waldron, AR; three step-sons, Stan Rose of Greenwood, AR, Stuart Rose and wife, Teresa of Greenwood, AR and Steve Rose and wife, Tammie of Waldron, AR; six grandchildren, Zach Rose of Greenwood, AR, Leah and Justin Long of Waldron, AR, Allison Rose of Greenwood, AR and Kaylin and Ashlin Rose of Waldron, AR; a sister, Darlene Palliser and husband, Tommy of Covington, LA; two brothers, Earl Young of Bush, LA and Jim Young and wife, Joan of San Antonio, TX.
Funeral service was June 18 at the Dayton Church of Christ with burial at Parks Cemetery, Hwy. 28 E., Gravelly, AR under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, AR. Rev. Zula Bee Young, age 95 of Dardanelle died Monday, October 5, 2009 at River Valley Medical Center. She was born January 22, 1914 in Oklahoma to the late John Williams and Emma Van Ashley.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Newman; son, Harold Newman; daughter, Bobbie Newman Thomas; brothers, Rev. Earl Ashley, Otto Ashley and Rev. James Ashley; sisters, Myrtle Shamlin and Flora Sharp.
Survivors include husband, Rev. C. R. Young of Dardanelle; sister, Lois Leach of Oppello; grandchildren, Larry and Darrel Thomas, Marsha Tharpe; number of great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and friends.

Glenn Yount, 27, of El Reno, Oklahoma, an iron worker at the Nimrod dam, 27 miles south of Russellville, was killed in a fall from a 45 foot cable way tower, July 5. He was struck by a swinging iron beam that knocked him from the tower. Mr. Yount came to the project only 10 days before his death, when construction of cable-way towers to be used in building the framework was started. He had been employed on the construction of the Fort Supply dam at Supply, Oklahoma.

Llola B. Yount, age 75, of Rover passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born May 25, 1939 in California to the late Claude & Clara Totty Cox. She was a homemaker, mother and a secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Yount and step-son Chad Roberts.
Survivors include her companion, Lonnie Roberts; daughter, Totty Yount of Dallas, TX; son, Bret Yount of London, England; grand-daughter, Lexi Yount of Dallas, TX; step-daughter, Georgia Martin of Gentry; step-son Brett Roberts of Highfill; 7 step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Clara M. Zachary, age 89, of Ozark, formerly of Lamar, died Saturday, December 7, 1985 at Ozark. She was widow of C. B. Zachary and mother of the late Janice Beardon.

Hilda Zachary, age 67, of Heyburn, Idaho died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Monidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert, Idaho. She was born December 22, 1938, in Dardanelle (Yell County).
Survivors include her husband, Charles Zachary; two sons, Paul Hickman of Clarksville and Michael Hickman of Forney, Texas; four brothers, Burl and Charles Lafferty of Panama, Okla. Jimmy Lafferty of Pocola, Okla. and Kenny Lafferty of Greenwood; two sisters, Anna Byrd of Pocola, Okla. and Evelyn Bray of Moberly, Mo. two grandchildren, Stephen Hickman of Forney, Texas, and Melissa Anderson of Whitney, Texas; and four great- grandchildren, Gary, Amanda, Michelle and Jacob Anderson of Whitney, Texas.

Robert C. Zimmer, age 55, a resident of Dardanelle, AR died Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at Arkansas Heart Hospital at Little Rock, AR. He was born November 19, 1944 at Paris, AR to Clem and Elizabeth Rotert Zimmer. He was a retired machinist at Southwest Centerless Grinding at Centerville, AR. He was a member of the Dardanelle Volunteer Fire Department for many years, was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era; was a member of the Dardanelle VFW Post 3141 and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Dardanelle.
She was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Elizabeth Barnett Zimmer and a step-son, Gregory K. Bradley.

Edwin Wayne Zimmerman Sr., 66 of Russellville, AR, lost his battle with cancer Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the home of his son & daughter-in-law in Belleville, AR. He was born March 21, 1939 in Jones County, Iowa to Rudolf (Rudy) & Hazel Peck Zimmerman. He joined the Air Force after High School in 1957. On May 11, 1962 he married Carolyn Behrens in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1966 he received an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force. While raising five boys, he attended the University of Nebraska, from which he graduated in 1975. He worked for five years as a Teacher and a Coach. He then became involved in a number of Community Groups such as The Russellville Lions Club, River Valley Council of the Blind, Arkansas State Council for the Blind and the Arkansas Eye Bank. He was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he also was in various church groups.
He was preceded m death by his parents, his loving wife of 43 years Carloyn Zimmerman and a sister Diane Frasher.
He is survived by five sons & daughters-in-law, Mike, Sr. & Becky of Belleville, AR, Edwin, Jr. & Marion of Fort Smith, AR, Mark A. & Marie of Leigh, NE, David A., Sr. & Donna of Virginia Beach, VA., Jeffery & Lisa of Humphrey, NE, fourteen grandchildren and his loving pet & best friend "Peanut"

Benedict Carl "Ben" Zipp, age 93 of Ft. Smith formerly of Dardanelle died Sunday, September 1, 2002 at Methodist Nursing Home in Ft. Smith. Mr. Zipp was born April 9, 1909 in Avon, Minnesota to the late John and Josephine Sawerer Zipp. He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and a retired machinist with Western Gear Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audie Zipp.
Survivors are a brother, Clarence Zipp of Vacaville, California; a stepdaughter, Geraldine Scott of Ola; a step grandson, Jimmy Tomlin of Dardanelle and several nephews and nieces.

Robyn Dawn Zolk, age 8, of Pea Ridge, AR died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, AR. She was born May 11, 1993, at Jonesboro, AR to John Louis Zolk and Theresa Marguerite Smith Zolk. She moved to Pea Ridge in June 2001 from Ola, AR. She was a 3rd grade student at Pea Ridge Elementary School and attended Pea Ridge United Methodist Church. She had battled for her life since her birth but was always joyful and happy and touched everyone's life who met her. She was God's special angel lent to her family for only a short time and has now returned to Heaven and God.

Mrs. Amanda Zug, 88 years old resident of San Bernardino, Calif., passed away in a San Bernardino hospital on December 27. Mrs. Zug was born in Melford, Neb., May 31, 1874, and was a former resident of Ola. She had lived in San Bernardino for 13 years. And was a member of the Grace Brethren Church.
Survivors include: a brother, Charles Reisen, and a sister, Lillie Phillips of Emporia, Kansas, four daughters, Mrs. Lorena McAllister of Paradise, Calif., Mrs. Elizabeth Karasch of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Edna Prosser of Torrence, Calif. And Mrs. Ruth Wheeler of Verona, Mo., six sons, Sam and Robert Zug of San Bernardino, Paul and Hugh Zug of Los Vegas, Nevada, Walter Zug of Prctcm, Mo. and Ray Zug of Ola; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Opal King Zug, age 89, died September 1, 1999 at her daughter's after several months of bad health.
She is survived by two daughters, Fran and Sue of Nevada; one son, James of Texas; one sister of California and other family and friends.
She grew up near Ola and Plainview in Yell County and attended school at Plainview. Soon after she and Hugh Zug married in late 29 or early 30 they moved to Las Vegas where she lived for over 50 years. He died several years ago.
