Albert Terry Yates, age 82, died at Perryville late Saturday evening. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Onyx and had been a lifelong resident of Yell County.
He is survived by three sons, Benson of Hot Springs, Cliff of Perryville and Marion of Benton; three daughters, Mrs. Jewell Comper and Mrs. Easter Picker of Chicago and Mrs. Dave Towler of Fairburg, Ill; one brother, William Yates of Arkhoma, Okla.; 15 grand children and five great grandchildren. Alfred Yates, age 92 of Plainview, AR died Thursday, November 20, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Steve, Arkansas on July 2, 1911, son of the late Walter and Addie Johnson Yates. He was a retired machine operator for Roseboro Lumber Company. He was a member or the Plainview First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Keener Yates; a son, Donald Wayne Yates and a sister, Cleady Bean.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Bid Hopper of Plainview; a brother, Frank Yates of Springfield, Oregon; two sisters, Ova Cash and Letha Pool, both of Springfield, Oregon; two grandchildren, three step granddaughters and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 24, 2003 at Plainview First Baptist Church with Reverend Monroe Hunt officiating. Burial was in Old Shed Cemetery in Onyx. Clifton Yates, age 58 of Perryville died November 12 in a Little Rock hospital. He was a native of Yell County and a sawmill operator.

Edgar Willis Yates, age 59, of Onyx died Friday Evening, January 19, 1979 at the Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock. Mr. Yates was a native of 0nyx, a retired Poultry Farmer, the son of the late Thomas and Mattie Borrows Yates, He was a veteran of W. W. II and a member and an deacon of the Onyx Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Elva Yates; three sons, Bill Yates of Plainview, Joe Yates of Russellville, and Lanny Yates of Onyx; one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Jeans of Danville; four sisters, Mrs. Reba Swaim of Aly, Mrs. Effie Nichols of Onyx, Mrs. Exie Walker, and Mrs. Christene Horton, both of Texas; and 7 grandchildren.

Elva Yates, age 87 of Onyx, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Mitchell's Nursing Home. She was born March 22, 1923 in Onyx, AR to the late David and Mary Isabelle Gossage Yates. She was a homemaker, poultry farmer and she and her husband were charter members of Onyx Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Yates; daughter, Patsy Jean; sister, Laura Jane Saunders; brother, J.B. Yates.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bill Yates of Plainview, Joe and Ethel Yates of Russellville, Lannie and Mary Yates of Onyx; 10 grand-children and 22 great-grand- children.

George Willie Yates, age 76, of Plainview, died at his home Sunday afternoon, June 27. Mr. Yates was a retired farmer. He was a native of Gravelly, a son of the late Alex and Nancy Yates, and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ester King Yates; two sons, Albert Lee Yates of Waldron and Calton Yates of Ft. J. B. Yates, Sr. age 74, of Plainview died Thursday, November 8, 2001 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs. Mr. Yates was born January 2, 1927 in Onyx, Arkansas to the late Lee David and Mary Issabell Gosage Yates. He was a logging contractor, a member of the Plainview VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Dickinson Yates and a son, Charles Lee Yates.

Ethel Ann "Dooly" Yeager age 93, of Batesville, AR, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Woodlawn Nursing Home in Batesville. She was born June 29, 1919, in Belleville, AR, to Dr. J.A. and Roxy Sugg Dooly. She had worked as a licensed practical nurse at Dr. Gray's Hospital in Batesville and she was a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.W. "Dub" Yeager; one brother, Jesse Dooly and one sister, Edna Dooly Dacus.

Ethel Ann "Dooly" Yeager age 93, of Batesville, AR, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Woodlawn Nursing Home in Batesville. She was born June 29, 1919, in Belleville, AR, to Dr. J.A. and Roxy Sugg Dooly. She had worked as a licensed practical nurse at Dr. Gray's Hospital in Batesville and she was a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.W. "Dub" Yeager; one brother, Jesse Dooly and one sister, Edna Dooly Dacus.

Roy Lee "Cowboy" Yeargan, age 67, of Pottsville died Friday, March 20, 2015. He was born December 13, 1947 at Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Earl Francis and Ima Rea Tucker Yeargan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Milton Yeargan.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Yeargan of Pottsville; one son, Chad Yeargan and wife Leigh of Hector; two brothers, Michael Yeargan, David Yeargan; two sisters, Nancy Yeargan Dixon, Tina Yeargan Highfill; one grandson, Evan Yeargan.

Beatrice Ella Josephine Gwin Garner Yeats, age 95, of Harvey went to be with her Lord on January 15, 2013. She was born in Little Texas, Arkansas, on May 6, 1917, to Cecil and Lula Hunnicutt Gwin. She was a 1935 graduate of Fourche Valley School, a teacher, homemaker, merchant, and nursing home hostess. She was a member of Eastern Star, the Fourche Valley Fire Department and attended Mulberry Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otho Woodrow Garner, with whom she shared operating a grocery store and farm as well as movie theaters in several towns ranging from Bluffton, Gravelly, Blue Ball and Boles to Casa and Adona while they raised their children. The theater business lasted many years but eventually died as television became common. She was known for her love of gardening, reading, and writing. She especially enjoyed helping others and being with her children and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her second husband Millage "Buck" Yeats, her parents, sister, Allie Douthit, brothers, Loy and Troy Lee Gwin, and grandson, Kerry Ferguson.

Mr. Millage Eugene "Buck" Yeats, age 75, of Gravelly, Arkansas died April 7, 1992 at the Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, Arkansas. Mr. Yeats was a native of Oklahoma, and son of the late Fred and Ola Thompson Yeats. He was a retired business teacher from Carlsbad Senior High School and New Mexico State University, Carlsbad Branch. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his former wife Myrtle Goss Yeats, a grandson, Patrick Massey and a granddaughter, Melissa Massey.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Garner Yeats, of the home, a daughter, Donna Jean Hardin of Florissant, Missouri, a sister, Joyce Hall of Atoka, OK, a stepdaughter, Jerry Ferguson of Danville, Arkansas and two stepsons, Rodney Garner of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Garry Garner of Gravelly, Arkansas and 13 grandchildren.
