Ricky Witt, age 44, a resident of Dardanelle, AR formerly of Centerville, AR died Thursday, February 6, 1997 at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock. He was born June 16, 1952 at Russellville, AR to Chester and Margaret Furr Witt. He married Deborah McAlister Young on August 25, 1989 at Dardanelle, AR. He was a carpenter at ANO for Stone & Webster Construction Company. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union 1836 of Russellville and a member of the Centerville Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Witt.
Survivors include wife, Debbie Witt of Dardanelle; two sons and daughter-in-law, Shannon Young of Dardanelle and Shane and Micki Young of Arkadelphia; one grandson, Tanner Young of Dardanelle; his father, Chester Witt of Centerville; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Debbie Witt of Centerville; two nieces and a nephew; two aunts and an uncle; many other family members and friends.
Funeral service was February 10, 1997 at the Humphrey Chapel, officiated by Chris George and assisted by Jerry Turner. Burial was at the Pollard Cemetery at Dover. Casketbearers were Kim Hickey, Alan Reynolds, Wayne Bell, Dick Morrell, Oliver Pickens and Aubrey Walker. Mrs. Verene McKinney Witt of Dardanelle passed away on August 22, 2002 at the Dardanelle Nursing Home in Dardanelle, AR. She was a member of the Gateley Hill Baptist Church. She was born December 23, 1912 at Paris, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Madison Witt, who passed away on March 31, 1995; one granddaughter, Lura Witt on July 27, 1989; one great-great grandson, Andrew Spencer.

Willie Witt, age 74 of Dardanelle, AR died Saturday, May 20, 2000 at the Dardanelle Hospital in Dardanelle, AR. He was born May 15, 1926 in Waveland, AR to the late General M. and Mary Hunt Witt. He was disabled.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Witt and Eschol Witt and two sisters, Naomi Emberson and Ola Helton.
Survivors are, one brother, Chester Witt of Centerville, AR; two sisters, Ruth Witt Price of Groves, TX and Tressie Witt Teague of Chicago, IL and several nephews and nieces.

Marc Edward Wohlwend Jr., age 25, of Belleville passed away January 1, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Marc was born March 2, 1990, in Kankakee, Illinois. He was a 2008 graduate of Danville High School. He loved mowing, welding, going mudding and watching Jeff Gordon race with his father.

C. Blake Wolf, 53, passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, from complications during heart surgery. Blake was born December 1, 1955 in Ft. Chaffee, Arkansas to Robert Wolf and the late Grace Helen Blake Wolf, formerly of Danville, and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
Survivors include wife, Paula Hardy; children Austin, Laura, Sam and Joe Wolf, all of Joplin; father Robert Wolf of Oronogo; two sisters, Pamela Oldham and husband, Bill of Rogers, AR; Leaha Johnson and husband David of Webb City; and several other extended family members.

David Odell Womack, age 54, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 12, 2012. David resided at Dayton community near Greenwood and was a long time resident of Havana, AR. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a member of the Havana United Methodist Church. He was in grocery retail management and employed by CV's grocery store.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Buffi Adelle Womack, his dad Joel Clinton Womack, a sister, Rosie Womack, and a baby brother; his grandparents, Lyman Odell and Varina Hovis Womack, and grandfather Daniel Raines and grandmother Icy Rutherford; the Womack Quartet and other beloved aunts and uncles.
Surviving him are his children Brandi and Chris Sanderson of Booneville, AR and Lindsey and Korey Lee of Havana, AR. He has two grandchildren, Garyn Sanderson of Booneville and Shandi Lee of Havana. James Henry Womack, age 81, was born November 7, 1870, near Centerville and died Wednesday, March 5, 1952 while visiting in the home of his son, J. E. Womack, of Ozark. He was married to Mattie Parkison, October 1, 1893, to which union six girls and six boys were born, eight of whom survive him.

Joel C. Womack, 28, of Pottsville, died as a result of injuries received in a car accident at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was taken to a Russellville hospital and died at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Womack, who was alone in his car, apparently lost control of the car on a curve about 3 miles south of Dardanelle on the Lower Danville Road. Womack was a veteran and a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral for Mrs. Lucinda Walls (Granny) Womack, 105, of Amity, who died in a Murfreesboro hospital Wednesday, was conducted today in the Kirby (Pike County) Church of Christ.
Burial was in Jones Cemetery in Amity by Davis Funeral Home of Glenwood. She was a native of Alabama and the widow of Joe Womack. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She had been active until she broke her hip three months ago.

Mary Rathel Womack, age 89 of Danville, AR died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Life Care Center in Pine Bluff. She was born July 11, 1919 in Danville, AR to the late Emsy & Iris Helen Moore Scott. She attended the Danville Missionary Baptist Church and a line supervisor at Wayne Farms where she retired after 33 years of service.

A Funeral Service for Maurice Womack, 91, of Flippin, Arkansas will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, with brothers Estel Grigg and Jerry Backus officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 PM until time of service. Maurice went to the Kingdom of Heaven, February 20, 2012. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors.
Maurice was the surviving twin born March 14, 1920, in Yell County, Arkansas to Willie and Effie Womack. The family moved to West Texas in 1925. He married Mary Adkins on April 2, 1948, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Maurice was a veteran of the Army/Air Force serving during WWII. He moved to Flippin in 1979, from Memphis, Tennessee. Maurice will be remembered as an ordinary man doing extra ordinary things. He and his wife Mary loved their home and gardens, spending hours nurturing and tending his plants, especially his dogwoods. Maurice is survived by sisters, Olga Gwen of Midland, TX and JoAnn Dennis of DeSoto, TX who was his caretaker since 2008, many neices and nephews, and special friend Norman Morelock (Joan) who took care of his beloved gardens.

Varina Womack, age 83 of Ola, AR died Thursday, July 7, 1994 at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Russellville, AR. She was a native of Centerville, and was a daughter of the late Alex Hovis and the late Mary Ellen McCollum Hovis.

Coy Lee Womble, 80, a resident of Little Rock, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born September 17, 1928, at Casa to Harvey Lee and Avis Iona Isom Womble. He was a retired foreman for the Union Pacific for 38 years; was a member of the Sandstone Drive Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Charline; two brothers and two sisters.

Bill Bob Wood, age 69, of Danville, AR died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Mitchell Nursing Home in Danville. He was born August 28, 1937 in New Blaine, AR the son of the late Earl and Leatha Farnam Wood. He was a retired Poultry Broker for Petit Jean Poultry. He attend the Danville United Methodist Church. He was a proud resident of Danville and Yell County. He had an undying love for his family, his friends and his community. His mischievous wit and good humor will be missed by all. He leaves behind an open chair at the Memory Lane Cafe scores of old and new friends who brought so much joy to his life, a family that will be lost without his love, humor, guidance, decency, genuine kindness and a son who thought the sun rose and set upon his shoulders.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Fern Lee Sugg Wood.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sandra Wood of Rogers, AR; grandson Ronnie and Tamara Vaughn of Rogers, AR and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Allison and Madison Vaughn all of Rogers.

Billy James Wood, 63, of Russellville, formerly of Atkins, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock with his family by his side. The son of Billy John and Leta Fern Clark Wood, he was born July 2, 1951 in San Diego, California. Before retiring, Bill worked as a Security Officer for Securitas the past several years. He was a 1970 graduate of Dardanelle High School, completed basic training with the U.S. Marines in San Diego, and received numerous awards from the Arkansas Rehabilitation Center and from work. Bill enjoyed painting and has had his work on display at exhibits in the Hot Springs Art Center and the Arkansas Rehabilitation Center. He attended the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center after his arm had been completely severed and reattached several years ago. While there, he was a member of the Student Council. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved very much, and attending his church, The Journey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Leta Wood; grandchild, Chris; and grandparents, William (Brownie) and Doris Wood, and Clyde and Vay Clark from Oklahoma City. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Cothren Wood; 2 daughters, Jami Adore (Kyle) Allen of Alread and Billie Lynn Hilliard of Russellville; son, Laven John (Sarah) Wood of Russellville; 8 grandchildren, Adora Allen, Terilynn Wade, Chase Wade, Barret Wood, Grant Wood, Brandon Wood, Emma Lee Wood and John Wood from Tennessee; great-grandson, Gatlin James Keeling; brother, Rick Wood; sister, Veleta Wood of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews. C. T. "Woody" Wood, age 93, of California, passed way in Fresno on Sunday, February 26, 2006. He was born in Bluffton, AR, May 15, 1912. He proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force for three years in Europe during WWII. He moved to California in 1949 and worked for Kerman High School for 20 years. After he retired, he sold office supplies for several years. He was a member of Life way Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lela; his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Fran; two daughters and son-in-law, Linda Boudreau and Susan and Ken Crouch; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four sisters, Lorene Clayton, Berline Patton, Inez Storment and Christean Hunnicutt.
