Volley G. Williams, southwest of Havana, died at a Paris hospital, March 4, at the age of 39 years, 5 months, and 7 days. Married to Edna Clack, July 11, 1919, to this union five children were born.
Surviving are: his wife, Edna, four sons, J. C. Hoyt, Wayne and L. G.; a daughter, Imogene, three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Walls, Blue Mtn., Mrs. Amy Harger, Waveland, Mrs. Donnie Davis, Havana, a half brother, Rale Williams, step-mother, Mrs. Esther Williams, Havana, and Albert and Ralph Williams, Wheatley.
Burial was in the Moore's Chapel cemetery, March 5 with services by Rev. A. N. Baum, pastor of the Assembly of God church, Havana. Pall Bearers were Alty Weaver, J. H. Towell, T. J. Hays, M. T. Wade Dillon Williams, age 25, of Danville passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at his home. He was born August 6, 1988 in Russellville, Arkansas to Ronnie and Janet Hayden Williams. He was a 2006 Danville High School graduate and attended the University of Arkansas Community College of Morrilton, and attended Arkansas Tech for 1 years. He worked at Wayne Farms Feed Mill for 2 years, overseeing the watching of five computer screens.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rufus and Lavada Walker Hayden; aunts, Erma Lee Hutchison, Lisa Williams; and uncles, RH Williams and Gary Russell.
Survivors include his parents Ronnie and Janet Williams of Danville; sister and brother-in-law Nicole and Paul Young of Conway; niece, Dallas Anne Young of Conway; grandparents, Rube and Reba Sue Williams of Dutch Creek; aunts and uncles: Vada and David Daman, Ada Maine, Helen and Jim Sims, Vickie and Bob Latham, Retha and Mitch Tate, Ellen Hayden, Loretta Williams, January and David Laster, Kathy Russell, Harold Hayden, Ernie and Ellen Hayden, Jimmy and Helen Hayden, Darrell and Cheryl Hayden, Clyde Hayden; numerous great-aunts and uncles and cousins.

DANVILLE - Wylie Warren Williams, age 69, of Casa died Tuesday, August 13, 1985, at Yell County Hospital. He was a retired pipefitter and construction worker, and a member of Casa Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie Mada Smith Williams; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Jane Hill of Sallisaw, Okla. Mrs. Betty Jane Temple of Muldrow, Okla. and Mrs. Ava Dean Peters of Dayton, Texas; his mother, Mrs. Emma Williams of Casa; two brothers, Don Williams of Pine Bluff and Delbert Williams of Perryville; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Atkinson of England, and seven grandchildren.

Former County Resident Killed At Ft. Smith - Mrs. Zedna Faye Williams, age 39, a native of Briggsville and resident of Ft. Smith, was found dead on a highway near Fort Smith early Sunday morning. Sheriff Prentice R. Maddux said Mrs. Williams body was discovered on Highway 96 south of Ft. Smith by Tony Mayfield of Lavaca about 1 a. m. He said another motorist reported that he ran over the body after Mayfield left to notify police. Mrs. Williams husband, Justin Williams, a carpenter and painter, said he and his wife had dinner at a Ft. Smith restaurant and returned home together, according to Deputy Sheriff Loudermilk. The officer said Williams told him that he retired shortly after reaching home and he was notified by police about 5 a. m. that her body had been found. Deputy Sheriff Brown of Ft. Smith said Wednesday that no charges have been filed and that Williams is not being held. He said that the sheriff's office is still investigating the case.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Taylor of Novato, Calif; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. ROCKWALL - Funeral services for Earl Williamson of Rockwall are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday at the Lyons Funeral chapel here. Gene Lofton will officiate. Burial will be in the Rockwall Cemetery. He died Wednesday afternoon in Garland hospital. The son of George and Theodicia Beattie Williamson, he was born on Feb. 15, 1903 in Rockwall.

Rev. James E. Williamson, age 83, of Russellville died Sunday, September 21, 1986 at Stella Manor Nursing Home. He was the son of the late John T. and Sophia Bales Williamson, and was a retired Cumberland Presbyterian minister. He served as pastor of churches throughout Arkansas including Long Pine, Palmetto, Mars Hill, Rose City, Rock Springs, Hector, Dover, Rev. J. E. North New Hope, Williamson Pineville, Harrison and Palestine.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Russell Williamson; a son, Thomas L. Williamson of Russellville; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Cousar of Russellville and Mrs. Effie Isaac of Wichita, Kan.; two grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Franklin Chesnut and the Rev. Johnnie Watson. Randy Jill Knight Williamson, 36, of Dardanelle died Friday, December 16, 2005 at UAMS at Little Rock. She was born November 30, 1969, in Russellville. She was a 1988 graduate of Danville High School and member of the Danville First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delena Robinson Knight an infant sister, Shanatha Knight; grandparents, Dewey and Vossie Robinson, Fred and Lavada Knight.

Ruth Williamson, 88, of Hot Springs died Thursday, April 4, 1996, at a local hospital. She was a seamstress and member of Second Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Mack Williamson, and a daughter, Barbara A. Lewis.

MORTON (Special) March 28, 1973 Services for Tye Kern Williamson, 50, co-founder of the First State Bank in Morton, will be at 3 pm today in the First Baptist Church here. The Rev.
Paul Mcdung, pastor, will officiate, with burial in Morton Memorial Cemetery under direction of Singleton Funeral Home here. Williamson died about 11p.m. Monday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after a lenghly illness. Wiliamson had lived in Cochran County since 1941. He was born in Kirkland. He and his father, the late W. W. Williamson, established the Morton bank in 1941.

Andy Dot Willis, age 68, of Tulsa, OK passed away Saturday, August 8, 1992 at a Tulsa hospital. He was the son of the late Andrew W. Willis and Velma Ferguson, natives of Gravelly, AR. They moved to Bixby, OK in about 1920 where they made their home and truck farmed in the Arkansas River bottoms north of Leonard, OK.
He is survived by wife of 49 years, E. Oleta of the home; daughter, Cheryl Lundgren, son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Susan Willis, grandsons, Terry Lundgren and Matthew and David Willis all of Tulsa. Also surviving are two sisters, Vada McElroy of Bixby and Irene Mabry of Plainview, Chula community, Arkansas, one brother, Hubert Willis of Bixby and several nieces and nephews.
He was a retired Captain of the Tulsa Fire Department after 32 year-Tulsa Fire Department after 32 years of dedicated service. He was a 32nd 71, a member of Tulsa Scottish Rite, Akdar Shrine, and Oddfellow Lodge No. 151. He was also a decorated Veteran of U. S. Army service in WWII. He attended Southern Hills Baptist Church and was an avid sports fan. He was a very loving and giving husband, father and grandfather and he will be missed very much by all who knew him.

Betty Willis, age 61, of Briggsville, AR died Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was born July 14, 1937 at Briggsville, AR to the late Ike and Minnie Keys Spears.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G. A. Willis, Sr. an infant daughter, three brothers and one sister.

Glynn Esten Willis, age 69, died Monday morning, March 16, 1998 at his home in Millville, NJ after a brief illness. He was born in Gravelly, AR. He was graduate of the Fourche Valley School, an Army Veteran and had resided in New Jersey for the past 31 years.
He is survived by his mother, Ila Willis of Gravelly; a brother, Twain Willis of Gravelly; one son, David Willis of Coupeville, WA; four daughters, Donna Rowland of Ringgold, GA, Barbara Kennard of Thomson, GA, Linda Rittenhouse and Carol Kolb both of Pennsylvania; and twelve grandchildren.

Goans Anderson Willis, Jr, passed from this life October 31, 2013 in Bluffon, Arkansas. He was born January 5, 1962 in Russellville, Arkansas to Goans Anderson and Betty Rose Spears Willis.
Goans is survived by one son Michael Willis, one brother Larry Willis of Briggsville, Arkansas; three sisters: Sherry Short and husband James of Bluffton, Arkansas, Anita Milligan and husband Kevin of Rover, Arkansas and Jennifer Howell and husband Scott of Briggsville, Arkansas. Goans will be missed by all who knew him and the many whose lives he touched, including a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Ila Bertha Willis, age 98, of Gravelly, AR, died Friday, January 9, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born September 11, 1905 in Little Texas, AR to the late John and Laura Hunt McCormack. She was a mother, homemaker, a member of the Gravelly Eastern Star and a member of the Gravelly Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Willis and a son, Glynn Willis.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Twain and Johnie Willis of Gravelly; two sisters, Lillie Powell of Waldron, AR and Neva Laster of Danville, AR; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson and numerous nephews and nieces.

Jonnie Sue Willis, age 74, of Gravelly, AR died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Rich Mountain Nursing & Rehab in Mena, AR. She was born March 24, 1933 in Wing, AR, a daughter of the late John and Irene Lazenby Gillum. She graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College now UCA, where she received a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and received her Master Degree from University of Arkansas. She taught school for 30 years, teaching in Charleston, Rogers, Fourche Valley, Hampton and Mena Schools. She was a long time Sunday School teachers and a member of the Gravelly First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law, Allen and Ila Willis, brother, Harry Gillum, sister-in-law, Ruth Gillum and brother-in-law Bill Workman.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Twain Willis; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Mark Barton of Mena, AR and Paula and Vernon Garrett of Wetumpka, AL, sisters brothers-in-law, Jan Workman of Fort Worth, TX, Barbara and Bill Arrington of Vicksburg, MS; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Barbara Gillum of Arkadelphia and Harold and Louise Gillum of Wing, AR; five grandchildren, Alisha Barton, Cole Barton, Stephanie Garrett and Brandon and Cassie Garrett and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was April 14, 2007 at the Gravelly First United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Duff officiating. Burial was in the Parks Cemetery. Joyce L. Willis, 70, of Conway, formerly of Pottsville, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born August 1, 1943, in Pope County, Arkansas, daughter of the late Andrew and Stella Curry Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Willis, daughter, Willie Dean Hefner, sisters, Peggy Bruce and Jewell Cloninger, brother, David Vaughn and 2 grdndchildren.

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Willis age 56 of Dardanelle died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the River Valley Medical Center. She was born December 17, 1953 in Russellville lo the late Charles and Neola Haston Cole. She graduated from Dardanelle High School and Arkansas Tech University and was a medical clerk for the River Valley Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother. Charlie Cole.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie & Shelley Willis of Russellville, grandchildren, Corbin. Carson Kelsey and Callie all of Russellville and a brother. John "Chile" Cole of Dardanelle and a host of family and friends.
Services will be Wednesday. 10 AM at the Freewill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tom McElmurry officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Over her lifetime, Sue lived in Arkansas, Missouri, Oregon, Idaho, Washington and most recently Alaska. She spent her time reading, crocheting, quilting and visiting with her family and friends. Mom never met anyone she couldn't strike up a conversation with. She was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints of Connell, Washington. When Sue married Daniel S. Willis in 1971, they joined not only themselves but their children into one family.

Mrs. Verena M. Willis, age 84, of Dardanelle, AR, widow of Oscar Willis, died Monday, December 8, 1997 at the Saline Nursing Center in Benton. She was born May 5, 1913 in Centerville, AR to the late James Emmitt and Minnie F. Webb Cain. She was a retired floral designer and a Methodist.
Survivors include eight nieces, Marily Pritchard of Benton, Jessica Davis of Pottsville, Bonnie Wimberly of Carrolton, TX, Betty Mashburn of Little Rock, Linda Wood and Judy Jordan both of Russellville, Phyllis West of Ola and Margaret Willis of Flint, MI; six nephews, Jimmy Willis of Lake Charles, LA, Danny Willis and Bobby Willis both of Dardanelle, AR, Dickey Willis of Little Rock, James Willis of Borger, TX and Fred C. Willis of Boulder, CO and a brother-in-law, Walter Willis of Dardanelle.

Walter Coy Willis, age 89, of Dardanelle, AR died Saturday, April 11, 1998 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born October 22, 1908 in Soda Valley, north of Greenbrier, AR. He was the last surviving son of George Henry Willis and Nora Dell Craig Willis of that community. He was a barber in Dardanelle from the late 1920's until the early 1970's. He was a member of the Dardanelle First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Marie Farnam Willis and a grandson, Timothy Lynn Willis.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Gene Willis of Dardanelle, James Lee Willis of Borger, TX and Fred Alan Willis of Boulder, CO; one daughter, Margaret Ann Willis Barker of Flint, MI; one sister, Vannie Strawn of Lorton, VA; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and the eight children of his brother, Tommy Willis; Bonnie Sue Wimberly of Carrollton, TX, Betty Mashburn of Little Rock, Jimmy Willis of Lake Charles, LA, Dick Willis of Dardanelle, Linda Wood, Judy Jordan and Danny Willis all of Russellville.
