Williams, Jessie David "Bob"

Jessie David (Bob) Williams, aged 87, of Waltreak died at the Yell County Hospital June 8. He was a native of Scott County.

Survivors include one son, Bennie M. Williams of the U. S. Army in Africa; three daughters, Mrs. Arie Smith of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Geneva Kitchens of Conway and Mrs. Stella Damon of Waltreak; one step-son, Luther Riddle of Danville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Potter of Bell, Calif.; I8 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK - Joe Williams Sr., age 82, formerly of Chickalah, died December 2, 1980. He was a veteran of World War I, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Red Williams and was a Presbyterian.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Waid Williams; a son, Joe Williams Jr. ,North Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Taylor, Little Rock, and Mrs. Gayle Gillen, Shirley; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mandy Wyant, North Little Rock; two sisters, Mrs. Ina Carr, Ranger, and Mrs. Bea Womack, Dexter, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Joe A. Williams, age 73, of Little Rock, brother of Mrs. Irma George of Ola, died Wednesday, November 26, 1986.

Williams, Lois "Irene" (Hendershott)

Lois "Irene" Williams, 101, of Bluffton, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born February 21, 1910 in Bluffton to the late Taylor and Pamelia Hendershott. She lived at the Yell County Nursing Home for the last 11 years enjoying many dear friends and loving care. Her life's passion was her family, friends and her service to God. She was gifted with prayer and will be remembered for her passionate prayers. She was a member of the Church of God. She was a member of the Gravelly Chapter of the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron several times and served in each point of the Star. She was honored as a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and her faithful service. She was active in her community and her church. Mrs.

Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Williams and five siblings. Mrs.

Williams is survived by her son, Claude Williams and wife Pat of North Little Rock, AR; daughter Ruby Grace Williams Holmes and husband Billy of Harrisburg, PA; five grandchildren, Gregory Holmes and wife Susan of Johnston, PA; Randall Holmes and wife June of Butler, PA; Steven Williams and wife Anitta of North Little Rock, AR; Cindy Evans of Chattanooga, TN; Pamelia Hooper and husband Dick of Little Rock, AR; five great- grandchildren, one great-great- granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Rover First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Shipley officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion. Louise Williams, age 69 of Danville, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at her daughter's home in Mt. George. She was born March 10, 1934 in Olio, Scott County, Arkansas to the late Clyde and Frances Almedia Elzadie Wilkins Miller. She was a retired cook for Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville and Wayne Farms.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil C. "Kip Williams.

Survivors are one son, Gary Williams of Mt. George; three daughters and sons-in-law, Belinda and Lowell Reece of Mt. George, Sheila and David Chrisman of Waldron, Amber and Rick Mahffey of Blue Ball; three brothers, Sheldon Miller of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Thomas Miller of Kingston, Bobby Miller of Waltreak; a sister, Karen James of Waveland; seven grandchildren Tel Millard, Danville, Billy Chrisman, Waldron, Jeff Reece, Pontoon, Lora Beasley, Ola, Lacey, Amy and Katelyn Chrisman, all of Bluffton; four great grandchildren, Kelli Reece and Kala Reece, both of Pontoon, Shelby Beasley of Ola, Brandon Mahffey of Waldron; one great-great granddaughter, Sydney Lexie Alexander of Pontoon; host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Williams, Mamie Lee

Mamie Lee Williams, age 103 of Havana, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born May 2, 1902 in Chismville to the late Orlin Loyd and Sarah Roseanna Young Loughridge. She was a homemaker and mother and, with her late husband, owned Mt. Magazine Gift Shop. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Brown and Lelon I. Williams; sons William Brown and Vernon Brown; stepson, Ernest Williams; step grandson, Ernest Williams, Jr.; brothers, Willie Loughridge, Fred Loughridge, Roy Loughridge; sisters Ethel Sarten, Maude Hicks, Hetty Fletcher Sorrels, and Minnie Barnard.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Etta and Martin B. Foster of Havana; two stepdaughters-in-law, Elwanda Williams of Little Rock and Iva Jean Williams of Oroville, CA ;brother Sam Loughridge of Charleston; sister-in-law, Frances Loughridge of Charleston; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren, and eight step great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Friday at the WYC Church of Christ with John McCourt officiating. Interment was in Moores Chapel Cemetery. Her grandsons served as pallbearers. Marie Frances Bergob Williams, 90, a Yell County resident for more than 40 years, died October 21. She was born March 14, 1920, in Loretto, Tenn., daughter of Joseph Bergob and Lena Gunselman. She was a registered nurse with a long career that included work at Dardanelle Hospital, Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville and Oak Ridge National Laboratories in Tennessee during the 1940s. She was a member of Catholic Women's Union and St. Augustine Catholic Church Altar Society. She was a volunteer with American Red Cross and Share & Care, as well as a summer camp nurse and volunteer at Subiaco Academy. She was known among her family, friends and church community for her charity, loyalty and for being a reliable neighbor. Quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, playing bingo and gar- dening (she had a green thumb) were among her hobbies. Her Italian cream cakes were quick sellers at bake sales, and her chicken and dumplings, and turkey and dressing dishes were holiday favorites. She enjoyed the outdoors, travel and music. She won several trophies for bowling in league play, and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynne Seymour of Elkins and Adele Williams of Dardanelle; two sons, Wayne Williams of Boone, N.C., and Jeff Williams of Sherwood; two daughters-in-law, Mary Williams and Kelley Cooper; a son-in-law, Renny Seymour; two granddaughters, Blair Turner and Greer Williams, and four grandsons, Jason Swetnam, Austin Turner, Barret Seymour and Nicholas Sumbles.

Rosary was October 29, at Cornwell Funeral Home, in Dardanelle. A funeral mass was Saturday, October 30, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, in Dardanelle. Martha Beatrice "Bea" Williams, age 66, of Russellville, AR died Saturday, May 15, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. She was born August 29, 1932 in Warren, AR to the late Tommy and Marcie Myrtle Hallman Reppond, Sr. She lived in Dardanelle for 32 years and was retired from Con Agra.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Reppond and a sister, Hattie Richards.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debra Jean and Mike Hamm of Gallatin, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Wanda Reppond of Dover, AR; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Ray Midwell of Dover; two granddaughters and grandson-in-law;, Stacie West of Russellville and Shelley and Keith Hugghins of White Oak, TX; two great granddaughters, Ashley Kate and Carley Shaw Hugghins both of White Oak, TX and several nephews and nieces.

Williams, Mary Ricker

Mary Ricker Williams, age 99, or Waveland, AR, widow of Harley Thomas Williams died Saturday, November 3, 2001 at Oak Manor Nursing Center in Booneville, AR. She was born June 3, 1902 in Belleville, AR to the late William M. and Alemdia Allie Tygart Ricker. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Waveland United Methodist Church, she served as the Junior High Class Sunday School teacher for 50 years. Mary was the last surviving charter member of the Waveland Homemakers Extension Club, with the Club having been organized at her home in 1934 and she remained an active member until her death.

She is survived by five daughters and a son-in-law, Ruby McKee, Beth & Noble James and Virginia James all of Waveland, Francis Mathis of Shawnee, OK and Willie McBride of Ola, AR; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren

Services were November 6, 2001 at the Waveland Community Church building with Rev. Susan Ross officiating. Interment was in Rock Creek Cemetery, Waveland, AR by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Michael C. Williams, age 47, of Atkins, AR, died Friday, January 25, 2008, at home. He was born November 10, 1960, in Lepanto, AR, and was the son of Charles Houston and Wanda Coffman Williams. He was a member of the Local Mill Right #216, loved to hunt and the outdoors, was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles and a sister, Anita Kaye Wren.

Mildred Irene Williams, age 75, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at her home. He was born December 30, 1924 in Bluffton, AR, the daughter of the late James Henry and Bertha Hilburn Smallwood. She was a housewife, a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Fairview Church of God in Hot Springs, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Williams.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen and her husband, Mark Wieman of Arkadelphia; one brother, Billy Jim and Mary Smallwood of Hot Springs, AR; three grandchildren, Tara Laurae, Jamie Elizabeth and Nathan Casey Rix.

Funeral service was June 15, 2000 at Fairview Church of God in Hot Springs, AR with Rev. Gary Turner and Rev, Marcus Phillips officiating. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Hospice Program. Northa "Natha" Keeney Williams, age 69, of Dardanelle died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born May 30, 1943 at Paducah, Texas to tne late Oscar and Beulah Reed Keeney. She was a member of the Faith Church in Dardanelle and Dardanelle High School lunch lady.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles Keeney; one sister, Helen Cargill.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Edward W. Williams of Dardanelle; one son, Jim Williams and wife Michelle of Dover; two daughters, Durena Long and husband Larry of Turlock, California and Tosha Level and husband Billy of Dardanelle; three brothers, Richard Keeney and wife Emily of Washington State, Mark Keeney and wife Linda and Gib Keeney all of California; three sisters, Margie Forsythe and husband Charles, Gracie Malmquist and Leona Smith and companion Al all ol Washington State; one brother- in-law, Hollace Cargill of California; 14 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was July 23, 2012 at Faith Church in Dardanelle with Chaplain Paul Northcutt officiating. R. H. Williams, age 54, of Danville, AR died Friday, June 23, 2006 at his home. He was born February 21, 1952 in Danville, AR the son of Rube and Reba Hunt Williams. He was a crew leader for the Arkansas Highway Department.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Sue Williams.

Raymond L. Williams, age 73, of Arkadelphia, AR, formerly of Hot Springs, AR died Thursday, November 14, 1996 in Arkadelphia. He was born April 30, 1923 in Bluffton, AR the son of the late Nathaniel Augustus and Fanny Emma Killian Williams. He attended Arkansas Tech at Russellville and was a retired AP&L employee. He was a WWII Army veteran of the 460 Ordinance Evacuation Co. a 32nd degree mason with memberships in Malvern and Bluffton for fifty years, and served as worshipful master at the Jones Mill Industrial Lodge No 751. He was a member of Fairview Church of God in Hot Springs where he served as deacon and elder in the church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Smallwood Williams; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen Rix Wiemen and Mark C. Wieman; three sisters, Clara Swaim of Crossett, Ruby Harvey of Wilmot and Anna Grace Neeley of Dumas; three grandchildren, Tara Rix, Nathan Rix and Jamie Rix; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was November 16 at the Fairview Church of God in Hot Springs with Bro. Marcus Phillips and Rev. Bill Singleton officiating. Raymond Roy "Bubba" Williams Jr., age 31, of Danville passed away Monday, April 25, 2016. Bubba was born April 5, 1985, in Bowie, Texas to Raymond Roy & Inez Essman Williams Sr. He was a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Williams.

Williams, Reba J.

Mrs. Reba J. Williams, age 71, of Ola, AR died Saturday, March 16, 1996 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born May 29, 1924 in Ola, daughter of the late Oscar and Maude Barnes Foster. She was a mother and homemaker and the widow of George Williams and a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by a son, George L. Williams.

Survivors include four sons, Lee Roy McGuire, Centerville, AR, Frankie Williams, Little Rock, AR, Jackie Williams, Russellville, AR an O. J. Williams of Ola, AR; one daughter, Gladys Sue Phillips of Russellville; three brothers, Benny Foster, Centerville, Floyd Foster of Ola and Fay Foster of Florida; four sisters, her twin, Ruby Lowery of Plainview, AR, Vera Hayes of Casa, AR, Juanita Hutchins of Knoxville, TN and Irene Key of South Carolina; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were March 19 at the Ola Church of Christ with Leslie VanWinkle officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Williams, Reid Daniel

Mr. Reid Daniel Williams, age 75, of Havana, AR died Friday, March 27, 1998 at the Booneville Community Hospital. He was born July 10, 1922 in Yell County, AR to the late Lonzo and Ila Yandell Williams. He was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Iras Garrison Williams; a son, Delvin Williams of San Diego, CA; a daughter, Nancy Bethel of Hot Springs, AR; a sister, Ruth Stephanian of Ft. Smith, AR; four grandchildren, Shanna McCourt of Havana, AR, Reid Bethel (If Belleville, AR, Tammie Williams of Hawaii and April Williams of Los Angeles, CA; six great grandchildren, Wes Bethel of Belleville, AR, Kysha Bethel of Danville, AR, Jammie and Michael Williams both of Hawaii and Ashley. and Allie McCourt both of Havana, AR.

Service was Monday, March 30, 1998 at Moore's Chapel Church with Rev. Jim Robbins and Rev Jimmie Garrison officiating. Williams, Robert Hays

Robert Hays Williams, Author of Danville History, Dies Robert Hays Williams, 96, a native and historian of Danville, died on October 19, 2009 at Wildflower Retirement Center in Russellville. Williams lived in Danville until he graduated from Danville High School in 1930 and left for college where he earned his law degree. In 2003, the Record published a series of news articles about the history of Danville from 1917 to 1932. He practiced law under the late Judge John E. Chambers in Danville for a period of time before moving his practice to Russellville where he opened a law practice and later served as a Circuit Judge. His parents, Jim and Lizzie Williams, (everyone called his mother, Miss Lizzie) operated a variety store in Danville in the early part of the 1900's for many years.

A memorial service will be held in the old sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Russellville on Saturday, October 24 at 10:00 a. m. under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Williams, Robert Hays

Robert Hays Williams, 96, of Russellville, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at Wildflower Born in Danville, Yell County, Arkansas, on September 22, 1913, he was the son of the late James T. and Lizzie Scisson Williams. He was a 1930 graduate of Danville High School and attended Arkansas Polytechnic College (now Arkansas Tech University) and earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University in Washington D. C. Williams began his law practice in Russellville with the firm of Hays, Wait and Williams and then, with his long-time partner, Charles Gardner, formed the firm of Williams and Gardner. He represented the 5th Judicial District as Prosecuting Attorney for four years and served as Circuit Judge for four years. He also represented the 10th Senatorial District as State Senator for eight years. Shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941, Williams enlisted in the U. S. Army where he received training for work with the Counter Intelligence Corps. Robert Hays made the D-Day landing at Utah Beach with the 4th Infantry Division and served with the 4th ID until the war ended in Europe. He received the Bronze Star Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with five bronze stars for five European Theatre campaigns. Having received a battlefield commission during the campaign in Northern France, upon his return to Arkansas, Williams joined the Arkansas Army National Guard, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his many years of leadership in Russellville and Pope County, Williams served as member of the Russellville School Board, the ARVAC Board, the Governor's Advisory Council on Aging, the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, AARP, and the Russellville Noon) Rotary Club. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and was honored as Russellville's Citizen of the Year in 1987. He was inducted into the Arkansas Tech University Hall of Distinction 1980. Williams was a Master Mason and member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge #274, the Western Arkansas Scottish Rite where he received his 33rd degree, the York Rite Consistory and the Red Cross of Constantine. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church, serving in almost every position for the laity, and, for a number of years, regularly taught the Lois Griffin Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha Frances (Patton) Williams, Russellville; two daughters, Anne Rye and husband Alton, Bedford, Texas, Jane Williams and husband Roger Kalthoff, Winston Salem, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Melissa Rye, Hays Rye and wife Chave, Cason Coplin and wife Laurie and two great grandchildren, Hayden and Molly Cate Rye.

A memorial service in celebration of a life well-lived will was held in the old sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church on October 24, 2009 under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Williams, Robert Lee

Robert Lee Williams, age 94 of Aztec, NM, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008 at home. He was born on March 7, 1914 in Coleman, Texas to W. K. and Nancy Williams. He was married to Irene Williams. He was a member of the U. S. Army, 200th Coast Artilleries (AA). He was a Sergeant in WWII and a survivor of the Bataan Death March in 1942. He survived as a POW of the Japanese in the Philippines for 3 1/2 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Newel Williams, sister, Velma Morales and great-granddaughter, Larissa Williams.

He is survived by his son, Bob and Bonnie Williams of Aztec; three grandsons and four great grandchildren; Aunts, Winnie Brown of Clovis, NM, Dessie Dickinson of Sequin, TX; brothers, Ed and Sue Williams of Hobbs, NM; sisters, Maggie Valentine of Lubbock, TX and Ethel Carr of Hobbs, NM; brother-in-law, Everett and Arlene Gray of Cedar Creek, AR; sister-in-law, Frieda Williams of Tatum, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.

Williams, Rosie Laverne

Rosie Laverne Williams, age 77, of Russellville died Friday, August 5, 2011 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born May 7, 1934 at Bigelow to the late Oliver and Dottie M. Bailey Williams. She was a member of the Gospel Assembly in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one granddaughter.

Survivors include three daughters, Teresa & Frank Faasse of Jacksonville, Jayne & Richard Perrington of Denison, Texas, Karen & Eloy Alvarado of Sherman, Texas; one son, Eddie Burton of Russellville; one sister, Debbie & Arichie Riddle of Russellville; two brothers, Billy Joe & Sylvia Williams of Amity, Kenneth & Billie Carol Williams of Russellville; eight grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rubin Henry Williams, age 84, of Danville, passed away Thursday, May 06, 2015 at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. He was born July 22, 1930 at Rocky Crossing Community to the late Chester and Lizzie Williams. He retired from the US Forrest Service Government.

He was preceded in death by his son R.H. Williams; daughter Lisa Williams, grandson, Wade Dillon Williams, son-in-law Gary Russell; brothers, Leroy (Bill), and Virgie Clifton (Kip) Williams; sisters Edith Hudson and Maxine Johnston.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Reba Sue Hunt Williams; son, Ronnie & Janet Williams; daughter-in-law, Loretta Williams; daughters, January & David Laster; Kathy Russell; grandchildren, David Alan and Heather Laster; Nicole and Paul Young; Andrea and Josh Pitts; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Caleb Laster; Dallas Ann Young and Ryder Pitts; brother, Larry Williams; sisters Ina Gibbs Simmonds; Darlene and Roger Owens; a host of cousins nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Susan Williams, 92, died at the home of her son Friday. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by two sons, Oscar Yandell of Havana Route, and Earl Yandell of Indiana; one brother, Lonnie Brothers of California; two sisters, Miss Laura Brothers and Mrs. Harriet Cox; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren.

Thomas Marlow "Boo Davis" Williams, age 37, of Fort Smith formerly of Danville passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Sparks Regional Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born July 22, 1973 in Conway, Arkansas to Ronnie Wayne Davis and Celestine Dawson Chrisp. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church, assistant manager and delivery for Domino's Pizza and a 1991 Danville High School graduate.

Preceded in death by his sister Emmastine Davis, grandparents Augustine Dawson, Nelson & Fannie Mae Smith, grandfather-in-law John Tannahill.
