William Thomas Whitlow, age 63 years passed away at his home in Plainview Tuesday night, September 25th. Mr. Whitlow was a life time resident of Plainview and a charter member of the Assembly of God Church here.
He leaves to mourn his departure one daughter, Mrs. Faye Summie of California, four sons, Erbie, Elgle, Bill of Plainview and Lamar Whitlow of Ola; five grandchildren, a stepmother, Mrs. Leona Whitlow and four half brothers, Dewey Whitlow of Delano, Calif. Francis Whitlow of Okla. City, Okla. and Clarence and Lonnie Whitlow of near Plainview and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon by Rev. James Perry, pastor of the church. Rev. Ivan Marcum of Birta, Rev. Legg of Danville, Rev. Cook of Ola, Sister Lane of Danville, and Sister Francis Payne of Dardanelle all was present and assisted in the service. Jo Ann Whitted, age 73, of Russellville died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at National Park Medical Center. She was born July 14, 1940 at La Planto, AR to the late Cicero and Hazel NitaBelle Copeland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Arvil Whitted; sister, Joyce Hicks; brother, Billy Copeland and a grandson, Randy Whitted.
Survivors include four children, William and Linda Whitted of Dover, Robert and Sharlene Whitted of Ola, Tony Whitted of Russellville, Bonnie and Eddie Reed of London; two sisters, Patsy Boles of Fayetteville, Sue Gilbert of Cleveland, MS; brothers, Jimmy Barnes of Springfield, IL, Earl Whitted of Dover; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

Auda Whitten, age 74, of Rancho Cuca Monga died August 11, 1985 at San Antonio Community Hospital. A retired employee for Orange Exchange Products, he was a native of Rover for 49 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Upland, CA.

Betty Carol Whitten, age 57, of Rover, AR died Tuesday, July 7, 1998 at St. Edward's Hospital in Ft. Smith. She was born February 20, 1941 in Danville, AR to the late James and Verna Davidson Word. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Rover Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bob Whitten.
Surviving are her companion, Bob Vess of Rover, AR; two sons, Tim Whitten of Russellville, AR and Robert Whitten of Plainview, AR; four daughters, Debby Lamb of Ft. Smith, AR, Janet Lawrence of Ola, AR, Laura Lampkin of Bluffton, AR and Darla Sparacino of Dardanelle, AR; one sister, Shirley Hill of Perryville, AR and 12 grandchildren.

BOONEVILLE - Delphia Whitten, age 71, of Booneville, wife of R. L, Whitten, died Wednesday, January 23, 1991. She was a member of Booneville First Baptist Church and its Womens Missionary Union.

R. L. Whitten, age 76 of Booneville, died Saturday, May 8, 1993 at Booneville Hospital. He was a retired teacher and minister.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Sr. and Margaret Hogan Whitten and two brothers, Jake and Auda Whitten and a sister, Myrtle Johnson. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Booneville and the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors are two sisters, Ruby Pugh of Rover and Lula Howell of Checotah, OK also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p. m. Wednesday, May 12, 1993 at the First Baptist Church of Booneville officiated by Reverend Michael Taylor, and assisted by Reverend Verlon Taff. Audrey Ellen Nixon Whittington, age 87, of Hermitage, AR died Monday at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was born February 14, 1918 in Bradley County, AR, a daughter of the late Henry and Mittie Lee Anders Nixon. She was a homemaker, a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the home extension club of Yell County. She married Ezra Q. Whittington on September 12, 1935 in Bradley County, AR and died December 9, 1961. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Oma Smith Williams.
She is survived by two sons, James Whittington of Warren, AR and Willis Whittington of Hermitage, AR; two daughters, Opal Nelms and Linda Jestice both of Havana, AR; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

James E. Whittington, age 64 of Warren, AR, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Bradley County Medical Center from injuries in an automobile accident. He was born January 29, 1942 in Bradley County, Arkansas, the son of the late Ezra Q. Whittington and Audrey Ellen Nixon Whittington. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, a graduate of Hermitage High School, a former ferry operator for the ADTH, a former employee of Bradley Lumber Company and a 7 year employee of the Armstrong-Witt Plant.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Chandler Whittington whom he married on June 18, 1994; one stepson, Scott Chandler of Summerset, KY; two stepdaughters, Cathy Young of Warren, AR and Gail Scogin of Wilmar, AR; one brother Willis Whittington, Hermitage, AR; two sisters, Opal Nelms and Linda Jestice both of Havana, AR; five step grandchildren, Chad and Matt Young both of Warren, AR, Candice Chandler of Summerset, KY, Ricky Wayne and Jay Scogin both of Wilmar, AR; two nieces, Sherry Albright and Penny Smith, both of Havana, AR.

Jamie Chandler Whittington was born on September 23, 1958, in Plainview, Texas to Polly Cooley Chandler and the late V. N. (Bob) Chandler. She departed this life on September 29, 2010 at Countryside Manor in Clarksville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother-in-law, John Everhart. She was a graduate of Dardanelle High School in 1978 and a member of the band. She also was an active member of the St. Martin's in the Fields Church in Southlake, TX.
She is survived by two daughters Maegan Vencill (Brandon) and Emily Whittington of Dallas, TX; mother Polly Chandler of Russellville, AR; two sisters Kay Chandler Merritt (David) of Clarksville, AR and Lisa Chandler Everhart of Russellville, AR; two grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Potter; her husband, James Melvin Whitworth and son, Allen "Bo" Whitworth.

Alvin R. Wideman, 76, of Plainview, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was the son of the late Frank and Gertrude Wideman and was born November 23, 1934, in Jessieville. He married Theogene Sisk Wideman, on August 15, 1993, at Mt Nebo. He was a road-grader operator with the U.S. Forest Service for 34 years and was a member of the Men's Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Plain- view. He was a member of the Church of God and enjoyed vegetable gardening, hunting and was a stock car racing fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, James Wideman.
He is survived by his wife, Theogene Wideman; his daughter, Mary Gayla Lawrence and husband Charles; three grandsons, Nick Lawrence and wife Tarah; Corey Lawrence and Phillip Lawrence; a great granddaughter, Carsyn Lawrence, all of Plainview; his brother, Charles Wideman and wife Barbara, of Jessieville; his sister, Frankie Reed and husband Robert of Black Canyon City, AZ; three nephews and three nieces; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.

Mrs. Monell Wiggans of Harrisonville, Missouri was born September 20, 1929 in Nola, Arkansas the daughter of Lonzo Peter Preston and Gertie (Arnmons) Wagner. She departed this life Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Crown Care Center, Harrisonville at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 4 days. On August 67, 1947 Monell was united in marriage to Thomas Carter in Nola, Arkansas. Later she was united in marriage on February 12, 1981 to Robert Wiggans in Miami, Oklahoma. She was employed as an assembler for Ennis Printing Company, Ft. Scott, Kansas. She had lived in Hop Springs and Waldron, Arkansas, Ft. Scott and Kansas City, Kansas before moving to Harrisonville in February of 2002.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Carter on October 7, 1979; her second husband, Robert Wiggans; a stepson, Tony Gene Carter; a stepdaughter, Tomelene Hayes; a brother, Armon Wagner; a sister, Alene Walkins.
She is survived by a son, Ron G. Carter and wife Julie, Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Diane Roberts and husband Duke, New Hope, Alabama; six grandchildren, four step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Willie Wagner of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Elmo Hayes, of Turner, Kansas and Winnie Matheson of Waldron, Arkansas; other relatives and friends.

Charles David Wiggins, Sr. age 37 of Rover, AR died Monday, April 3, 2000 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born in Little Rock, AR June 13, 1962. He was a 1981 graduate of Fourche Valley High School, served on the Fourche Valley School Board for five years, coached boys baseball for Fourche Valley and the Danville League for 7 years. He had worked as a mechanic for Lambert Motors in Danville for 18 years, leaving in May of 1999 after buying the Turner's Grocery in Wing in which he and his wife operated.
He was preceded in death by, his mother, Ila Faye Hodges Wiggins and his father-in-law, Herbert N. Person.
Survivors include, his wife, Tamara Wiggins; one son, CJ. Wiggins of Rover, AR; his father and step-mother, Claude Charles and Darlene Wiggins of Adona, AR; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Lori Wiggins of Dardanelle, AR; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Larry Doyle of Centerville and Sherry and Roy Horsey of Little Rock, AR; his mother-in-law, Louise Person of Wing, AR; several nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces; a step-brother, David Hart of Ft. Charles David Wiggins, Sr., age 37 died Monday, April 3, 2000 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was a mechanic for years with Lambert Motors Danville, before buying Turner's Grocery in Wing May 1999.
Service will be Thursday April 6, 2000 at 2:00 p. m. at the Wing Community Church. Burial will follow at Parks Cemetery in Nola. Service by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Claude Charles Wiggins, Jr., age 78 of Adona, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at his home. He was born November 27, 1929 in Wabbaseka. He was the son of the late Claude Henry and Gladys Eula Smith Wiggins. He was an Air Force Veteran and an auctioneer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife and mother of his children, Ila Faye Wiggins and son, Charles David Wiggins, SR.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Gibson Wiggins; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Darlene Wiggins of Gravelly; daughters, Brenda and Larry Doyle of Centerville, Sherry and Roy Horsey of Roland; brother, Douglas Wiggins of Carlisle; stepchildren, David Lee and Diane Hart of Fort Smith, Teresa Paris of Perryville, Wanda and Mike Green of Mena; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, eleven step-great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.

Beatrice Wigley, age 92, of Ola, AR died Monday, October 29, 2007 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. The daughter of W. E. and Edith Hooks Woodson, she was born April 9, 1915 in Hico, TX. She was a member of the Ola First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Wigley and her parents. She is survived by a half-sister, Wilda Jean Wyatt of Milpitas, CA; a half-brother, Jimmy Dean Woodson of Dardanelle and several nieces and nephews.

Buddy Wigley, age 78, of Ola, died Wednesday, August, 15, 2007 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born July 6, 1929 in Waltreak, AR to the late Oscar and Mary Martin Wigley. He loved to fish, eat squirrel, work on lawnmowers, play the fiddle; and listen to Bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by seven sisters and five brothers.

Grace Evelyn Wilcox, age 85, of Tulsa, OK passed away July 30, 2003 at Tulsa Regional Hospital. She was born August 4, 1917 at Havana, AR to the late Daniel Tolbert and Elna DeRossitt Dixon. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired inventory clerk from McRoberts-Lane Wholesale Drug in Tulsa.

She loved to cook and crochet for family and friends and do a little fishing for herself.
