Mrs. May Belle Walker, aged 57, of Ft. Smith, died Sunday at a Ft. Smith hospital. She was a native of Belleville.

She is survived by her husband, Hayden Walker, a son, William C. Walker of Sweetwater, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. W. M. Files and Mrs. Dale Files, both of Ft. Smith: two brothers Jesse Green of Albuquerque, N. Mex., and Welch Green of Mountnburg; a sister, Mrs. Rayna Torbett of Tulsa; and five grandchildren. Walker, Mitchell Lee

Mitchell Lee Walker age 40 of Harvey, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born January 23, 1974 in Danville, Arkansas to Doyle & Gail Vaughn Walker.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Mark Walker; maternal & paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his son James Walker of Harvey; daughters, Rachael Walker of Centerville; Heather Walker of Harvey; mother, Gail Broussard & Pops of Aly; half-sister, Janis Watts of Belleville; uncles & aunts, Pat & Mike Eden; Freda Mashburn; Hazel Burnett; James & Sherry; Joe & Angie Vaughn; special cousin Robin Spears.

Walker, Opal "Doc"

Opal "Doc" Walker, 58, of Ola died Friday, March 28. He was a native of Centerville, son of the late Amos and Martha George Walker, a retired timber worker and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Doyle Walker of Grady; four daughters, Patsy Allen of Centerville, Freda Mashburn of Mount George, Hazel Burnett of Ola and Sherry Walker of Plainview; two brothers, Alton Walker of Russellville; three sisters, Mrs. Alva Anderson of Modesto, CA, Mrs. Inice Roach of Dardanelle and Mrs. Eula Grace of Russellville and nine grandchildren.

Walker, Ora Ann (Parker)

Ora Ann Parker Walker, 100, of Mayflower, formerly of Belleville, passed away early Thursday, April 5, 2012. Mrs. Walker was born in Stafford, Arkansas on February 27, 1912. She was the second oldest and only girl of eight children born to Tom and Hattie Parker and also had a half- brother and a half-sister from her father's previous marriage.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Walker, her parents, her granddaughter, Jonna Gail Link and all of her siblings. Ora married Johnie Walker on August 14, 1933 in Ola, Arkansas. They had two daughters, Shirley Skarda Holzknecht and Jeanie Link. Johnie and Ora Walker opened a small cafe (The Blue Goose) in Belleville, Arkansas. Later they farmed for a living until they moved to San Bernardino, California and subsequently to Long Beach, California where Johnie was involved the building of ships for WWII. The last years of the war were spent in McAllister, Oklahoma working at the ammunitions depot. Ora was a stay-at home wife and mother during these years. After returning to Belleville, Arkansas Ora worked as a cook in the Danville Cafe which was the Greyhound bus stop. When it closed she was a cafeteria cook for Belleville Elementary and High School. When Johnie retired from the pulpwood trucking business, he and Ora were broiler growers for Joe Ray Chicken Plant. Johnie passed away on February 25, 1988. Ora moved to Mayflower, Arkansas in 2002 where she lived with her daughter, Jeanie until suffering a massive stroke this past Sunday evening.

She is survived by her daughters; Shirley (Bill) Holzknecht and Jeanie Link, ten grandchildren; Julie (Darrell) Dean, Kristen Link, Todd Skarda, Mike (Amy) Holzknecht, Debbie McNeillie, Mary (Alan) Gall, Jim (Angela) Holzknecht, Robin (Rita) Holzknecht, Becky (Charlie) Schneider, and William (Wendi) Holzknecht, twenty one great grandchildren; Chris Tipton, Becky Balon, Brandy McNeillie, Gary McNeillie, Christa McNeillie Barrett, Melissa McNeillie, Jaquelyn Lobato, Brad Dean, Bailey Skarda, Francisco Holzknecht, Xenia Holzknecht, Franxe Holzknecht, Shirley Holzknecht, Charlie Schneider, Emily Schneider, Libby Schneider, Christopher Schneider, Auna Chea Singleton, Justin Holzknecht, Alissa Singleton, Tyler Holzknecht, and nine great- great grandchildren. Ora was a devout Methodist. She worked hard her whole life. Her mind was sharp and she loved current events, especially politics. She was a Democrat to her very core. She has been a good mother and a Christian example. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Ora is now at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Walker, Paul

Paul Walker, age 89, of Pottsville, AR died Monday, August 23, 1999 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born January 3, 1910 in Pryor, OK to the late Charles and Lollie Gillum Walker. He retired from the maintenance department of Webber's Bakery in Santa Ana, Ca and was a member of the Russellville Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jammia Walker; a daughter, Lenora Walker Yaw; a son, Charles Walker and three sisters, Dossie, Pauline and Ruby Walker. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Robert Alexander of Pottsville, AR; one sister, Nina Lyons of Lee Summitt, MO; three grandsons, Robert Alexander, Pottsville, Daniel and Aaron Yaw, Alexander, AR and five great grandchildren.

Services were August 28, 1999 at the Russellville Church of God with the Rev. James McElroy officiating. Burial was in the Needmore Cemetery in Casa, AR. Walker, Pruda Modeana (Stapleton)

Pruda Modeana Walker, 47, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. P.M. Stapleton of Huckleberry Mtn. departed this life May 15, 1942, at Texas City, Texas. Married to Norman Walker, of Havana, and to this union born one daughter, Mary Christene, who with the husband survives with four brothers, Hugh and Chas, of New Blaine, Robert, of St. Louis, Mo., and W.E. Stapleton of U.S. Army stationed at Camp Barkley, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Rhinehart of New Blaine and Mrs. J.A. Dooms of Okemah, OK. She was baptized at Mt. View, Oklahoma, and was a member of the Christian Church until her death.

Mrs. Rosa Walker, died May 5, 1956 at her home in Havana at the age of 82. She was a native of Perry County, a member of the Methodist Church and had spent her entire life in Yell and Perry Counties.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara Gateley of Danville and Miss Ethel Walker of the home; two sons, Noel Powell of Raleigh, N. Walker, Ruby Garner

Ruby Garner Walker, age 76, of Dardanelle, AR, widow of Allen "Pud" Walker died Thursday, October 14, 1999 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Russellville. She was born April 18, 1923 in Chickalah, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Walter and Jeannie Berry Garner. She was a homemaker and mother.

Survivors are one son, Dantie Price of Centerville, AR; one daughter, Joyce Mobley of Yazoo City, MS; four grandchildren, Kelly Holaday of Louise, MS, Chris Price, Louie Price and Audrey Price all of Centerville, AR and one great grandchild, Kristen Holaday of Louise, MS.

Walker, Rufus L. "Rl "

Rufus L. "RL " Walker, age 74, of Ola, AR. died Monday, February 22, 1999 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Russellville. He was born October 27, 1924 in Centerville, AR. to the late Rufus and Sibyl Davenport Walker. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Ola and retired after 35 years of service with Thermogas Company.

He is survived by his wife, Wilmateen McMullen Walker; three sons, Aubrey Walker and Mike Walker both of Ola and Gene Walker of Lurtin, AR; two daughters, Patricia Holland of Pottsville and Sibyl Burnett of Greenbrier; a step-son, Robert McMullen of Centerville; three step-daughters, Sharon Allen of Little Rock, Susan Duffield of Russellville and Carla Hill of Oklahoma; a sister, Frances Grain of California; eight grandchildren, Roger Holland, Richard Benedict, Jeffery Benedict, Lee Walker, Aubrey Walker Jr. Dusty Walker, Christy Walker and Kayla Walker.

Service was February 25, 1999 at the Free Will Baptist Church in Ola with Rev. Denver Robinson officiating. Interment was in Petillo Hill Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Walker, Seth M.

Seth M. Walker, age 89 of Dardanelle, died Monday, June 11, 1990 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. He was a native of Centerville, AR, son of the late Cornelius A. and Lydia Ann Miller Walker, a retired farmer and a member of the Mt. George Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linnie Lou Moudy Walker.

Survivors are one son, Jack Walker of North Little Rock; two daughters, Anna Jones of Centerville and Nelda Dennis of Dardanelle; one sister, Ruie Cannon of Centerville; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

Syble L. Walker, age 94, of Belleville passed away Monday, January 23, 2017, at Mitchells Nursing Home. She was born February 28, 1922, in Centerville, Arkansas to the late Hazen & Lillie Rosa Underwood Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Frank Walker.

Survivors include niece, Katherine & Dean Catlett of Belleville; nephew, James & Betty Miller of Fayetteville; cousin, Joe Miller of Centerville; several great-nieces, and nephews and cousins.

Walker, Theron Wesley

Theron Wesley Walker went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2014. He departed this life at 2:30 PM at his home in Cumming, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85. Theron was born on August 28, 1929, in Oakland, Mississippi, to James Henderson Walker and Eudera Barton Walker. After a short tour in the U.S. Air Force and working pipeline construction in Connecticut, he began a career in data processing. He was data processing manager for American Bosch in Columbus, Mississippi; Valmac Industries and Tastybird Foods in Russellville, Arkansas; Tyson Foods in Springdale, Arkansas; Perdue Farms in Salisbury, Maryland; and became the Vice President for Management Information Systems al Holly Farms Foods in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce in Russellville, Arkansas. He served as Deacon in Antioch Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi and in Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Jo Walker; his sister Barbara Cox of Cumming, Georgia and sister and brother- in-law Virginia and Dayton Hedges of Dunwoody, Georgia; his son William Walker of Cumming, Georgia and daughter and son-in-law Sandi and Michael Scoggins of Danville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Chaz, Thomas, Amelia, and Alysia; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home. 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, Georgia, 30041. Tom C. Walker, age 60, a resident of Russellville, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at his home. He was born September 30, 1948, at Trenton, NJ to Ersal D. and Geneva Doss Walker. He was employed at Millard Henry Clinic and was a member, deacon, and teacher at the Ranger Free Will Baptist Church. His hobbies were antique collecting and selling.

He was preceded in death by his father; his first wife, Mary Ruth Walker; and an infant daughter, Kimberly Ruth Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Walker of Russellville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Carrie Walker of Franklin, Indiana and Scott and Stephanie Walker of Conway; a granddaughter, Taylor Ruth Walker of Franklin, Indiana; his mother, Geneva Doss Walker of Delight; a brother and sister-in-law, Doss and Marilyn Walker of Murfreesboro; a niece, Kristi Smith and her husband, Chuck of Murfreesboro; a nephew, Rob Walker and his wife, Pam of Murfreesboro; his mother-in-law, Hazel Stutts of Russellville; two step-sons and step-daughters-in-law, John Hickman, Jr. and Linda of Pottsville and the Rev. Vird Raymond Walker, 53, son of Mr. James William and Mrs. Julia P. Walker, died December, 5, 1941.

Walker, Wilmateen (Pickens) McMullen

Wilmateen Pickens Walker, a longtime native of Yell County made her final journey on December 23, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Carl McMullen, with whom she farmed and raised their children. She was known for her love of gardening. Always her tomatoes were looked forward to in great anticipation. Her flowers beautified the community. She was a firm believer in education, always keeping the door from the home to the school open. She was an avid sports fan whether it was enjoying the Ola Mustangs, Arkansas Razorbacks, car racing, golf, or the "Fillies". She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Ola.

Surviving her are her children, Robert McMullen (Kay) of Dardanelle, Sharon Allen of Little Rock, Susan Duffield (Ronnie) of Russellville, Carla Jo Hill (Steve) of Catoosa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. After Joe's passing, she married R.L. Walker with whom she shared many happy years up until his death. She is survived by R.L.'s children, Aubrey, Gene, Michael, Patricia and Sybil. A special thanks goes to Maurice Cobb, Dr. Robert Thurlby, Dr. Thomas Werner, Dr. Jim Lieblong, Dr. Jim Smith and her very special friends, Lori Owens and Clyde Apple.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 26, 2011 at Petillo Hill Cemetery with Bro. Charles King officiating. June 7, 1915 - November 24, 2013 Anna McBride Walkup, 98, of Havana, Arkansas died Sunday, November 24, 2013. She was born in Belfast, Ireland on June 7, 1915, and immigrated to Toronto, Ontario at age 12 with her parents Robert and Anna Neil McBride. She met James Elton Walkup during his professional baseball career and they married on January 6, 1942.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, and two brothers.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Sharon Ann and Wesley Kemp of Alma, Arkansas; daughter Robin Johnston and Les Windschitl of Mankato, Minnesota; sister Joyce Perry of Scarborough, Ontario Canada; three grandchildren: Wesley Kemp II, Anna Caroline Kemp and Tyler Johnston; and seven nieces and one nephew.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013, in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Ferguson and Lindsay Streets, Havana, Arkansas under the direction of Rev. Walkup, James "Elton"

James "Elton" Walkup, age 87 of Havana, AR passed away Monday, February 17, 1997 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born in Havana, AR December 14, 1909, son of the late H. B. and Annie Dunlap Walkup. He was a WWII Army-Aircorp Veteran, a former pitcher for the St. Louis Browns, and the Detroit Tigers Baseball teams, and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Havana Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Burt and Robert Walkup and a sister, Margaret Ross.

Survivors include his wife, Anna McBride Walkup; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Wesley Kemp of Alma, AR and Robin and Bob Johnston of Cabot; a sister, Florence Jameson of Conway, MO; three grandchildren, Wesley Kemp III of Fayetteville, Caroline Kemp of Alma and Tyler Johnston of Cabot.

Funeral service was held February 20, 1997 at the Havana Presbyterian Church with Rev. Floyd Sheppard and Rev. E. O. Tackett officiating. Burial was in the Havana Cemetery. Walkup, Robert Montgomery

Robert Montgomery Walkup, aged 70, of Havana died Thursday, July 2, at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. He was a retired stockman, a veteran of World War I and was born in Havana.

He is survived by two sons, A. R. Walkup of Havana and James H. Walkup of Duncan, Okla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Verna Chambers of Havana and Mrs. Marie Dickenson of Nigeria, Africa.

Wall, Eulurle Ricker

Eulurle Ricker Wall, age 86, of Dardanelle, formerly of Plainview, died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. The daughter of William Loy and Faye Evelyn English Ricker, she was the second oldest of their eleven children, born March 29, 1923 at Nimrod, Arkansas. "Lurle" as she was known to family and friends married James Bruce Wall June 11, 1943.

For a time they lived around Eureka, California, in the red woods. She often spoke of that time in her life, about the huge red wood logs Brucie logged. Though only married a short period of time due to his death, she told many "sweet stories" of her married life with "Brucie" She retired from Wayne Poultry in 1986, working more than 25 years on the line. She enjoyed growing flowers in her yard, and the birds and butterflies they attracted, collecting bells, yard sales, and playing Friday night Bingo. She loved her cats and at one time had 17 white cats, including "fluffy-tail" and "blue-eye" So yes she was a mother, She enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews play basketball at Plainview, for many years she didn t miss a home game. She was a lifelong member of and active in the Plainview United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday school and being the communion steward, and keeping the flower beds tended. Eulurle was preceded in death by her husband James Bruce Wall; five brothers, Bill Ricker, Bob Ricker, John Ricker, George Ricker and Kerry Ricker; two sisters, Beth Burnham and Nan Smith.

She is survived by two sisters, Nelle Smith, of Ashdown, Beulah Tramel of Russellville; brother, Joe Ricker and wife Diane of Texarkana, TX. and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews Funeral

Wallace, Charles Thomas

Dr. Charles Thomas Wallace, age 95 of Little Rock died March 25 at his home. He was a retired physician, a former resident of Nimrod and a Methodist. He practiced in Perry County for 60 years until he retired in 1957. He rode horseback at first, then used a horse and buggy, and began using an automobile in 1918 to cover his rural territory.

Mrs. Irene Wallace of Delaware, Okla. a former resident of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, March 6, 1985 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Manda Townsell, and was a member of Hillside Christian Church at Nowata, Okla.

Mrs. Martha George Wallace, age 86, of the Ola Nursing Home and formerly of Casa, died Thursday evening, July 29, 1973 at the Yell County Hospital. She was a native of the Birta Community, a housewife, the daughter of the late John and Isabell Carson George. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include one half-brother, James George of Golden City, Mo; one half-sister, Mrs. Ruby DeClark of Neward, N. Y.
