Hollis D. Tippit, age 75, of Casa, AR went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The son of Roy Tippit, Sr. and Nell McCabe Tippit, he was born March 2, 1932 in Casa. He was a poultry and cattle farmer and owner and operator of H&J Farms in Casa. He was a member of the Casa Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years and was a bible class teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kerry Luttrell, a brother, George Tippit.
He is survived by his wife, June Tippit of Casa; a son, Joel & Ginger Tippit of Russellville; three daughters, Kay & Fred Pogue of Casa, Maria Field of North Little Rock, Ramona J. Parker of Casa; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Roy Tippit, Jr. of Ola.
Funeral was Monday, November 12, 2007 at Humphrey Chapel. Mr. Carroll Sites and Mr. Neal Chism officiated. Burial was at Casa Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Jackie Wayne Tippit, age 60, of Ola, AR, died Sunday, November 15, 2009 in Ola. The son of James and Louise May Pung Tippit, he was born August 12, 1949 in Altimer, AR. He was a Mill Worker. Jackie enjoyed Hunting and Fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Tippit and wife, Sherry Tippit.

Nell Tippit, age 97, a resident of Ola, AR died Sunday, January 20, 2002 in Ola, AR. She was born June 9, 1904 in Casa, AR to William and Mary Holmes McCabe. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ola Church of Christ.
She was the widow of Roy Tippit, Sr. and also preceded in death by a son, James "George" Tippit of Ola, AR.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy Tippit and Hollis and June Tippit all of Casa, AR; one daughter-in-law, Louise Tippit of Ola, AR; 15 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Willie Gertrude Tippit, age 78, of Waveland, AR died Monday, December 22, 2003 in a Booneville hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and a former resident of Uniontown and Van Buren, AR. She had been a resident and Grocery Store owner of Waveland for the past 35 years.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Dorella Havard of Grand Prairie, TX, Wanda Hultquist of Rineyville, KY; 3 sons, William Fincher of Van Buren, AR, Joe and Dan Fincher of Havana, AR; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Adrain Robert Tippy, age 62 of Ola, died Sunday, July 20. 2008 at Chambers Memorial Hospital after a long debilitating battle with cancer. He was born August 8, 1945 in Plainview, AR to the late William Myles & Elsie Estell Collins Tippy.
He is survived by brother, Sherman William Tippy of Plainview and a sister, Melba James Pitts of Casa. Adrain married former wife Tommy Lorean Lightfoot on May 1, 1965 in Tulia, TX. There were four children born to them Robert Henry Tippy of Davenport, OK, William Kelcy Tippy of Artesia, New Mexico, James Loyad Tippy of Chico, TX and Teressa Joy Craft of Gage, OK; five grandsons and seven granddaughters.

Mrs. Elsie Estelle Tippy, age 70, of Plainview died Thursday, August 18, 1988 at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church at Plainview.

Margaret O. Toffelmire, age 80 of Dardanelle died Sunday, July 16, 2000 at St. Joseph's Regional Health Center in Hot Springs. She was born November 18, 1919 in Booneville, Arkansas to the late Ira Otha and Artie Grace Moore Warren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Toffelmire, a daughter, Shirley Gilbert, and two sisters, Juanita Gray and Wave Warren.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Kim Toffelmire, Henderson, Nevada; Steve and Lorna Toffelmire, Dardanelle, AR; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Dennis Magee, of Hot Springs, AR; two brothers and sisters-in law Sonny and Melba Warren, Dardanelle, AR; and John and Lavina Warren, Dardanelle, AR; a son-in-law Ray Gilbert, Ft Smith, AR; eight grandchildren David Gilbert, Mark Gilbert, Richard Gilbert, Brad Nelson, Jeremy Nelson, Amy Toffelmire, Emily Toffelmire, and Jessica Toffelmire; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. Harold William Toft, age 96, of Dardanelle, AR passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at the Legacy Lodge Nursing Home of Russellville, AR, where he was a patient for six years. He was born in Aldine, TX on May 1, 1909 to Larwence H. and Elmore Cadell Toft. His former wife, Mary Ester Benefield-Batchelor died in 2002. They had no children. In his youth he worked as a rigger in the oil fields of Texas and late was the owner of a Houston, TX Insulation Business and a swimming pool service company in the 1970's he moved to Mobile, AL where he became proprietor of a motel. In 1980 he and his companion moved to Dardanelle. In his golden years of retirement he enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, painting and calligraphy. He is a veteran of WWII and served his country with honor in France. He is currently a life member of Boyce Woods VFW Post #3141 of Dardanelle.
He is survived by his 101 year-old sister, Loyce Callahan of Houston, TX and by his nephew George W. Riddle of Dardanelle, AR. Mrs. Anna Toller, age 73, died at her home a mile west of Dardanelle on Highway 22, January 2nd, 1938 after a brief illness. Born in Czechoslovakia, she came to the US when she was 16 years of age. With her husband, who died three years ago, she came to this community in 1918, for a number of years residing on the J.L. Godsey farm and later purchasing the place on Hwy 22. Quinton Tolleson, age 79, of Hot Springs, died Friday, October 16, 1987, in a local hospital. He was born in Belleville and he was a Baptist. He was a retired construction engineer.
Survivors include one sister Eva Smithey of Hot Springs; one sister-in-law Myrtle Tolleson of Little Rock and several nieces and nephews.

Dennis L. Tolzman, age 54, of Fort Smith, AR died Wednesday evening at home. He was born in Mason City, Iowa and moved with his family to Fort Smith 23 years ago. He was owner of Tolzman Jewelers for 22 years. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 27 years and served faithfully as a ministerial servant in the south congregation of Fort Smith until his death.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda D. LaVern A. Tolzman, age 85, of Havana, Ark. died May 11, 2010. He was born December 3, 1924 in Osage, Iowa to Herman and Minnie Berg Tolzman. He worked for the municipal sanitation department in Mason City, Iowa, in a sugar beet processing plant, Armor meat packing plants and worked many years in construction all while managing his own farm. After retiring, he worked for the Corps of Engineers in North Dakota and Waveland, Ark. as a gate attendant. LaVern was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Mason City, Iowa and attended the Moore's Chapel Church in Waveland, Ark. While serving in the Army in World War II he participated in the Battle of the Bulge and the first wave of the Normandy invasion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Albert, Dennis and Jeff Tolzman; one sister, Bernice Smith; and two brothers, Paul and Arthur Bartelt.

Ed C. Torbett of Fayetteville, Arkansas died June 3, 2009 at his home. He was born in Danville, Arkansas in 1922 to Damon Carlos Torbett and Jewell Forrester Torbett.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Eaton Torbett; sons, Jack Torbett and Brett Torbett and his wife, Sara Torbett of Fayetteville; and cousin, Elizabeth Johnson of Bentonville.
In 1940, Ed graduated from Danville High School where he was highly involved in athletics as a left-handed quarterback for the Little Johns as well as a pitcher for the baseball team. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville before joining the United States Navy where he completed their flight training program, graduating among the top ten in his class. He was offered the choice of remaining with the Navy or joining the United States Marine Corps. He chose the Marine Corps. In 1943, he was appointed a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps Air Wing. During a 20 year military career, he flew the F4U Corsair in the Pacific Theater during World War II, seeing action in the Battle of Peleliu. He also flew the Corsair in the Korean War, during which he provided air support for soldiers during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. Over the course of these two wars, he flew a total of 251 combat missions from both land and aircraft carriers. For his services, Lt. Col. Torbett was awarded five Distinguished Flying Crosses, 16 Air Medals and ten additional citations including an Asian Pacific Combat Medal, a World War II Victory Medal, and a Presidential Unit Citation as well as others. He retired from the military in 1963 as a Lieutenant Colonel and returned to the University of Arkansas where he completed a B. A. degree in business. He then began a successful real estate company in Fayetteville, was a rancher, and at the age of 56, became a father and raised two sons.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 8, 2009 at Moores Chapel in Fayetteville, with Dr. H. D. McCarty presiding. Alma Torrence, age 90, of Danville passed away peacefully Thursday, September 10, 2009 in the presence of her loving grandchildren. She was born November 6, 1918 to Virginia and Reed Fisher.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Torrence; daughter, Sharon Torrence; and stepson, Leroy Torrence.
She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, CA and Betty Fisher of Omaha, NE; two grandsons, Marlon Torrence and his wife Maxine of North Little Rock, AR, Rowney Torrence and his wife, Stacie of Little Rock, AR; one granddaughter, Audrey Bradley of Sherwood, AR; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Beulah Mae Torrence, 92, of Danville, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born August 13, 1924, in Plainview, Arkansas to the late Jess and Della Norman Gilkey. She worked 38 years as a line worker for Tyson Poultry. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Henry Gilkey; sisters Elsie Brown, Cora Alston, Ruby Riddley; sons-in-law, William Kellybrew and Casper Pickney.
Survivors include her son, Robert and Joyce Torrence of Wylie, Texas; daughters, Delcia and Charles Webster, of Belleville, Neita Kellybrew of Dardanelle; Joann Pinkney of Dardanelle; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Orville Tougaw, age 88, of Havana, AR, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the John L. McClellan VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born January 3, 1920 at Plainview, AR, to the late William and Mary Elms Tougaw.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Drewey Elms Tougaw and Harmon Tougaw.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pearl Moore Tougaw, his children and their spouses, Quinton Dale and Pat Tougaw of Kingston, AR, Ron and Linda Tougaw of Helotes, Texas, Barbara and Jerry Karnes of Pittsburgh, Texas, Dennis and Terry Tougaw of Burlington, Kansas, and Mary and Hoover Willard of Belleville, AR; a sister, Evola Moran of Hot Springs, AR, a brother, Thomas Tougaw of Harrison, Arkansas, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
Mr. Tougaw was a member of the Havana Assembly of God Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 20 years and as a deacon for 40 years. He loved the Lord, studying and living the Word of God. He memorized and quoted scriptures in worship services and other gatherings many times. He, and his wife Pearl, ministered through nursing home, hospital, and home visitation for many years. He served on the Havana School Board. He worked in the CCC camps, was a World War II veteran, a construction worker and a retired chicken and cattle farmer.
Services were held Saturday, July 5 at the Havana First Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Teeter, Rev. Bob Caldwell and Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial was in the Havana Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Ralph Burrows, Bruce Bland, Tommy Fink, Whick Stapleton and Wayne Henson. Joyce Townsell, age 76, of Casa went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Friday, May 18, 2012 at her daughter's home in Morrilton. She was born August 1, 1935 in Rose Creek, Arkansas to the late lrby and Mintie McElory Teel. She was a substitute teacher for the Casa School District and worked for the Casa Post Office. She was a member of the Casa First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.
