William E. Taylor, better known to most folks as "Mr. Bill" went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 19, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Bill was born March 14, 1928 in Fayetteville, AR to William Pierce Taylor and Vera Mae Brewer Taylor. Mr. Bill was 83 years, 10 months and 5 days old. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Waldron, AR. Mr. Bill began his young life in the United States Navy. He served a tenure on the USS Alabama during WWII after which he received an honorable discharge. As a hard working husband and father he provided for his family by working for Waldron Hardwood Company and Big Pine Lumber for many years in Waldron as a lumber inspector. It is no secret that Mr. Bill loved to volunteer his time to help others. Mr. Bill was an upstanding member of the Waldron Masonic Lodge #132 F & AM. He was also a long-time member of the Shriner's Clown Division. Mr. Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter, Diane Epperson and husband Alton of Waldron, AR, one son, Billy Taylor and wife Sharon of Natural Dam, AR. Grandpa Bill will forever be missed by four grandchildren, Shawn Epperson and wife Heather of Waldron, AR, Brandon Taylor of Natural Dam, AR, Cheryl Snowden of Van Buren, AR, and Vicki Golden of Coal Hill, AR. The lives of five great-grandchildren have also been enriched by Grandpa Bill. Mr.
Bill is also survived by one brother, Freddie Taylor of Danville, AR and three sisters, Betty Lou Covley of Rover, AR. Patsy Moore and Ruth Jacobs both of Broken Bow, OK. Mr.
Bill is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife and best friend, Ms. Betty, two sisters, Helen Taylor French and Ruby Blackmon and one brother Troy Gale Taylor. Mr.
Bill's life celebration was Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Ray Biggs officiating. William Henry Taylor was born near Lankford, Alabama in 1859, where he grew to manhood and married Miss Judy Richard. Shortly afterward they moved to Arkansas, in 1887, where he spent the remainder of his life. The past few years was in the home of his youngest daughter, Mrs. Pearl Haston of Waltreak, where he passed away on March 21st, 1949 lacking until the 10th of April being 90 years old. He lived in Havana for more than 40 years and served as an Elder in the Church of Christ during all this time.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Mina Evans of Louisiana, Mrs. R. A. Baker, Arkansas, Mrs. C. M. Haston of Waltreak, Mrs. Julius Weldon, Ft. Smith, and Mrs. Chester McBride, Havana; 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Services were conducted in the Church of Christ in Havana Tuesday with Brother Frazier, Ft. Smith and H. D. Jackson, Havana officiating. Burial was in the Havana Cemetery. William J. "Bill" Taylor, age 63 of Dardanelle, AR died Sunday, April 11, 1999 at the Russellville Nursing Center. He was born November 24, 1936 in Dardanelle, AR. He was retired from Marva Shleter Workshop.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive and his father, Wilburn Taylor.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Anna Joe and Leo Lampkins; two daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Doug Robinson of Springdale and Judy Taylor of Dardanelle; a brother, Ed Taylor of Danville; a sister, Martha Merritt of Dardanelle; four grandchildren, Amanda Taylor and Joshlyn Wesley both of Dardanelle, Nathan and Sarah Robinson both of Springdale and one great-grandchild, Savanah George of Dardanelle.
Services were Tuesday, April 13, 1999 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Galen Mason and Bro. Ralph Weinhold officiating. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a cattle & poultry farmer, and Belleville School Board Member serving 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Lee Blaylock Taylor; son Roy Noble Taylor; brothers Hubert, Leonard and Glynn Taylor; sisters Olive Reynolds, Nell West, Ann Pledger and Hazel Pledger.
Survivors include son & daughter-in-law Lynn & Barbie Taylor of Maumelle, and eight grandchildren.

Jack Taylor, School Board Member for 35 Years, Dies - William L. "Jack" Taylor, age 90, of Belleville, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. Taylor served 35 years on the Belleville School Board, one of the longest tenures, if not the longest, on a school board in Yell County. He was instrumental in working with longtime Belleville Superintendent George Cowger in the development of major improvements on the Belleville campus and in the merger of the Belleville and Havana School Districts in the 1980's. M. Teague, aged 67 years, expired suddenly at 6:30 at his home here last Thursday evening, death being due to heart failure.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. F. Wilkins, Friday afternoon, the remains being interred in New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Teague had not been well for several days prior to the fatal attack, but was able to be up and about and his condition was in no way regarded as serious. With his family he came to Yell County in 1917 from eastern Arkansas. He was a quiet, industrious, honorable man and his death is deeply deplored by all who knew him.
Mr. Teague is survived by his wife and five children: Robert Teague, Cleveland Teague and Mary Teague, of this city; Mrs. China Martin, of Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Ida Adams, of Russellville. Mrs. Theodocia Teal, age 86, died in her home on Cedar Creek, Monday May 31, 1948, after many months of illness. She was born and raised at Cedar Creek and lived there all her life.
She was survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Smith of the home; granddaughter, Virginia Smith of Little Rock; stepdaughter, Mrs. Mamie Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, J. C. Smith of Paris, W. Mrs. Carrie Adams Tedder, age 80, of New Bethel died at her home November 29, 1948.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Freeman at the New Bethel Church, Tuesday afternoon. She came to Yell County from Georgia at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Tedder, and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Denney of Culver City. Clara H. Tedford, age 79, a Gravel Hill native who lived in Madera, Calif. for 44 years, died Tuesday, January 13, 1987 after a long illness. She was the widow of Jim Tedford and the daughter of the late Poney and Bertha Hudlow Hickey
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Barre of Madera and Wilma Bowles of Oxnard, Calif.; two brothers, Sidney G. Hickey of Dover and Marshall L. Hickey of Benton; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Garland O. "Slick" Tedford, age 75, a resident of Carden Bottoms died January 13 at the Conway Memorial Hospital in Conway. He was a retired farner, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Methodist Church.

Irby Burton Teel was born September 22, 1907 and had just celebrated his 104th birthday. He passed away November 15, 2011 at Perry County Nursing Home.
Irby is survived by a son, Irby Lee Teel, and daughter Joyce Townsell (James) all of Casa; three grandchildren, Larry Townsell of Casa, Shar-Ron Atkinson (Mike) of Oppelo, Martha Ann Rose of Little Rock; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Irby was proceeded in death by his wife of 35 years and the mother of his children, Mintie McElroy Teel (RN); also proceeded by daughter Sylvia (RN) and husband Dr. Ben Searcy, granddaughter Emma Joiner, and brother Thomas Teel. His parents were John and Mae Alexander Teel. He was also proceeded in death by his 2nd wife Beatrice Boyd Teel of 35 years.

Melvin Odus Teeter died April 4 at the West Texas Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, after a short illness, at the age of 76 years. Mr. Teeter lived in Yell County near Plainview in 1912-1913. A retired farmer, he moved from Pope County to Lubbock County, Texas, in 1942.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Dee Bowden Teeter; one son, Clayton Teeter; three daughters, Mrs. Oleta Hobbs, Mrs. Nina Taylor, all of Lubbock, and Mrs. Lora Woods of Paragould; three brothers, two sisters, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Ina Floyce Allen Telaar, 84, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, in the Methodist Nursing Home in Fort Smith. She was born to Rash and Liller Potter of Bluffton in January 1921. She was a member of Karis Restoration in Van Buren.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, along with first husband, Glennard H. Allen, and second husband and five brothers.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Chuck Stephens of Fort Smith and her son, David Allen of the home. Additional survivors include a brother, Doyce and wife Butterfly Potter of Bluffton, a brother, Verlon Potter of the Kingston community and a special sister-in-law, June Telaar of New Jersey four grandchildren six great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Wanda Jean Tennison, 62, of Duncanville, TX, formerly of Danville, died Friday, February 17, 2006 in Lancaster, TX. She was born in Gorman, TX to Luther Parsley and Modine Wallace. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Duncanville. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in baseball, basketball and stock car racing.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Modine and Riley Tucker; father, Luther "Dub" Parsley; a son, Kenny Tennison; daughter-in-law, Michelle Christian; sister, Joann Stamper, and granddaughter, Cassie Dawn Christian.

Mary Julia Terrill, age 98 of Plainview, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at Mitchells Nursing Home in Danville. She was born October 3, 1909 in Herendon, Kansas to the late Lorenz and Julia Fazekas Gotl. She was a school teacher in Kansas and moved to Plainview when her husband retired in 1953. She was a member of the Towner Colorado Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Edgar Terrill, a brother and four sisters.

Geniece Terry of Muskogee, OK formerly of Havana, AR went home to be with the Lord April 9, 2001, three days short of her 81st birthday. She was the first of four children born to Artemus Montgomery and Pearl (Mott) Kennedy. She married A. T. Terry January 23, 1936. Jeroma "Jerry" Shamblin Thacker, age 86 of Russellville, a former resident of Danville, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1916, at Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a daughter of the late Thomas William and Neenah Jackson Shamblin. She was a stenographer for the Department of Human Services and was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville.
She was the widow of the late Cecil Thacker and was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Shamblin, Jr. and a sister Mona Shamblin.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Dana Thacker of Russellville; two grandchildren, Marc and Anna El-Kilani of Russellville.

Mr. Jimmy David Thacker, age 43, of Rover, died Sunday morning, July 10, 1988, at his home. Mr. Thacker was a native of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and a disabled Veteran. He was the son of the Late Joseph and Cleo Morrison Thacker. Mr. Thacker was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Judy Coffman Thacker, age 53, of Russellville, AR died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Little Rock, AR. A daughter of Emogene Hamilton Coffman and the late Leamon Coffman, she was born November 25, 1945, at Hector, AR.
She was an assistant vice president consumer loan officer at River Valley Bank. She was a board member and treasurer of Main Street Russellville, a board member of the Russellville Symphony Guild, a member of the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center and a life member of the Junior Auxiliary of Russellville. She was a former board member of the River Valley United Way and the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce. She formerly owned J Thacker Shoes. She held a degree in accounting from Arkansas Tech University and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Other than her mother, she is survived by, her husband, Jack Thacker; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Arneta and Gearl Cooper and Jo Ann and Jim Hays, all of Russellville; her mother-in-law, Jerry Thacker of Russellville; three nieces, Suzanne Mears of Siloam Springs and Cheryl Flippo and Jennifer Cooper, both of Russellville; two great-nephews and a great niece.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM today, Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. G. Mackey Yokem and Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
