John Spivey, better known as Uncle John, died Tuesday, January 14th, at 3:30 p.m. at the family residence in Havana. Mr. Spivey has been sick for many years and his death was not unexpected.
The body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Havana with funeral services conducted by Rev. Chas Finch. Mr.

Kaylee Nicole Spivey died Sunday, May 4, 2006 at Russellville. She was born in Russellville to Ritchie and Ashley Lewallen Spivey.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; Avaugh Johnston, Lois Lane and Ray and Jaunita Spivey; a great uncle, Jackie Lewallen and a cousin, Blake Matthew Hall.

Rickey Dwight Spivey, age 60, of Russellville died August 26, 2016, at Saint Mary's Hospital.
His survivors include a son, Richie Spivey, of Morrilton, two brothers: Charles Spivey of Morrilton and Barry Spivey of Mt. Ida, a sister Anita Markle of Russellville, and one granddaughter Destiny.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Jaunita Spivey of Havana, a brother Sam Spivey of Pea Ridge, and a sister Velda McDowell of Morrilton.

Funeral services for Nancy Rebecca Stokes Sprague of Kincaid whose death on Sunday Oct 14, 2001 was reported in Monday's Register, will be at 10 a. m. Thursday at the Kincaid Baptist Church. The Rev. Gale Mack will officiate. Interment will be in Lone Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p. m. Wednesday at Johnson-Kunkel Mortuary in Moran. Memorials may be made to the Nancy Sprague Scholarship Fund.
She was born August 21, 1936, in Onyx, Yell County, Ark. to Elijah Kendrich and Iva Mae Crawford Stokes. She was graduated from high school in Danville, Ark. She moved to Iola where she attended Allen County Community College. After further college classes at Springfield Mo. she returned to Iola where she worked for Pet Milk. On December 20, 1959, she married Kenneth Sprague. They made their home in Kincaid She was a farm wife, assisting her husband in running the family farm and raising their children. She attended the Kincaid First Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ for more than 20 years and participated in a variety of ways with the vacation Bible schools. She was an avid photographer, chronicling the life of her family and farm. She liked to read, play and listen to music and traveling. She devoted much of her time to researching family genealogy. She recently began quilting.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth; two sons, Max of Kincaid and Joel of Lebo; two daughters, Monique Litherland of Topeka and Myla Ma of Hong Kong; and three granddaughters, Dasha Watt, Brittney Sprague and Etika Litherland. Aaron Bell Springer, Sr. age 54 of Dardanelle died Sunday, July 14, 2002 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born July 17, 1947 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Eddie and Laura Davis Springer. He was member of the Mt. George Church of Christ, a Vietnam Veteran and a riverboat captain for American Commercial Barge Line.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin Springer and William Edward Springer; two sisters, Elizabeth Springer and Lottie Springer.
Survivors are his wife of 15 years, Diane King Springer; three sons, Aaron B. Springer Jr. of Mississippi, Brice Hamilton Bond of Seattle, Wash. and Christopher Patrick Bond of Dardanelle; a daughter, Kimberley Ann Johnson of Ohio; a brother, Harvey Springer of Gore Springs, Miss.; four grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

Alex Stafford, age 80, of Belleville died August 21, 1954 at his home. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Methodist Church and a lifelong resident of Yell County.

Mrs. Kate Stafford, 87, died at the Yell county Hospital April 13. She lived at the nursing home in Danville and was from Belleville. Mrs. Stafford was a member of the Belleville Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Olgar of Booneville, Cyrus of Little Rock and Thurston of Grandview, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. Euna Robinson of Belleville; three brothers, John Majors of Oklahoma, J. D. Norman Stafford Dies in Fall at Monticello - A brain injury suffered last Wednesday in a fall from a truck proved fatal to Norman E. Stafford, age 55, Monticello logging contractor. Stafford was a former Yell County resident.
He died in Monticello, Thursday after his head had been hit by a wheel of the truck in which he was reportedly riding Wednesday. Reports said that steam from the radiator flew back into Stafford's face and that he either jumped or fell from the back of the truck. His head was hit by a wheel. The accident occurred just outside the Monticello city limits on Highway 81.

Opal A. Staggs, age 79 of Paron, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at his son's home in Vilonia. He was born in Plainview, AR on November 11, 1922. He was the son of the late Charles Arthur and Lela Carr Staggs. He was a retired machinist, retiring from A. M. F. Bicycle Plant, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Noble Staggs, and two sisters, Ruby Staggs and an infant sister.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Oates Staggs; three sons, David Staggs of Paron, Delbert Staggs of Little Rock, and Darryl Staggs of Vilonia; two step-sons, and one stepdaughter; two sisters, Jessie Smith of Plainview and Lola Marie Holland of Lafayette, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Rev. Berne Ora Stahl, age 57, of Plainview, died Thursday; afternoon, March 4, 1971 at the Dardanelle Clinic. He had been an active minister for the past 14 years. Rev. Stahl was a native of Plainview, pastor of the Danville Free Will Baptist Church and the son of the late Daniel and Martha Elms Stahl.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frankie Holman Stahl, three sons, Danny. Stahl of Russellville, Sherman Stahl of the Bentwater Air Force Base in England, and Mike Stahl of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Nina Sullivan of El Dorado, Mrs. Bernice Cook of Little Rock, Mrs. Arlene Thomas of Russellville, Mrs. Loretta Owens of Danville, Miss. Randa Hoy Stahl, age 89, of Plainview, AR died Monday, October 30, 2006 at Chambers Memorial Hospital Danville. He was born February 16, 1917 at Plainview to the late Daniel and Martha Elms Stahl. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a mail clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Diane Staley, age 45, of Mountain Home died Friday, March 22, 2002. She was born May 29, 1956, at Oklahoma City to Nathaniel Ellsworth and Virginia Angeline Rhoades Holland. She married J.B. Staley Jr. on Aug. 15, 1974, in Nicoma Park, Okla., and moved to Mountain Home in 1974 from Nicoma Park. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her husband, J.B. Staley Jr.; sons Jason Staley and his wife, torme, and Nathan Staley and his wife, Joline; daughters Annie and Leann Staley; her mother, Virginia Holland; brothers Darrell, Paul, Michael and Ronald Holland; a sister, Lajuana Crawford; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Chester Holland.

Alfred "Jack" Stanberry, age 82, of Muleshoe, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2001. He was born April 24, 1919 in Waltreak, AR to the late Sam and Anna Stanberry. He married Ruby McCormick on December 23, 1942 in Blytheville. He moved to Muleshoe in 2000 from Danville. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U. S. Army. He retired from Sherley Anderson Grain Elevators in 1987 and was a member of Chalybeate Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Chalybeate Springs, AR.
He was preceded in death by a son, Danny.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; three sons, Redd and Kent both of Buckeye, AZ and Rick of Muleshoe; two daughters, Evelyn Morris of Muleshoe and Linda Stanberry of Oklahoma City, OK; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Maxine E. Stanberry, age 80, of Havana, AR died Saturday, April 3, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born October 17, 1923 in Havana, AR to the late Raymond and Jennie Tapp Littleton. She was a retired poultry grower, a member of the Presbyterian Church in Havana and a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Stanberry; a daughter Shirley Emberton and three sisters, Elsie Hendrix, Bessie Spencer and Imogene Graham.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pauline Stanberry of Mt. George, AR; a daughter, Sharon Barnett of Havana, AR; sister and brothers-in-law, Agnes & Everett Blaylock of Benton, AR and R. M. Graham of Mt. George; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Paul Don Stanberry, age 20 of Mt. George, AR died Thursday, December 7, 2006. He was born December 1, 1986 in Dardanelle, AR. He was a 2005 graduate of Ola High School, past FFA Chapter President, past FFA Northwest District President, National Proficiency finalist, and received an FFA scholarship. His FFA advisor was his sister, Patti Priest. His senior year in football, he was named defensive lineman of the year. He was a recent graduate of Universal Technical Institute of Houston, Texas with a degree in auto body collision repair. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping. He attended the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Mattie Johnson and Troy and Maxine Stanberry.

He was born August 29, 1929 in Johnson County, Arkansas to the late John Oscar and Hettie Pearson Standridge. He was part of the construction crew of the Dardanelle Lock and Dam, a heavy equipment operator, farmer & 32nd degree Mason with Bright Star Lodge #213. He was a former member of the Arkansas Army National Guard. He liked to hunt, fish and being in the outdoors but his main love was playing music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret A. Standridge, five brothers, Joe, Loyd, Boyd, Melvin and Doyn Standridge, two sisters, Audrey Jones and Lue Ella Jones.

A daughter of the late Auby and Minnie Viola Turney Workman, she was born November 9, 1929 in the South New Hope community in Pope County. Margaret A. Chandler-Standridge age 75 of Dardanelle died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Atkins Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born November 30, 1936 at Thornton, AR to the late Leslie R. and Jennie Mae Seymour Chandler. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Dr. Pennington and at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center for 39 years. She was one of the first recipients of the 40 and 8 Nurses Training Scholarships awarded bv the Voiture Locale 1365 in May of 1955. She was a member of the Slaty Crossing Freewill Baptist Church and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Dardanelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, W. Cleo Chandler, Robert Kenneth Chandler and a sister, Essie A. Jones.
