Mrs. Annie Bee Solley, age 64, of Plainview died from injuries suffered July 1 at her home. Mrs. Solley was a retired housewife, a native of Booth and a daughter of the late Hamp and Rebecca Whitmeyer. Mrs. Solley was a member of the Jesus Name Penecost Church.
She is survived by her husband, S. R. Solley; four sons, Bob Solley and Lloyd Solley both of Plainview, Don Solley of Ola and Tony Solley of Bluffton, seven daughters, Mrs. Lorene Embry of Ola, Mrs. Betty Earls of Ola, Mrs. Anna Jean Metcalf of California, Mrs. Linda Metcalf of Wing, Mrs. Zellar Alexander of Texas, Mrs. Elois Goins of Fort Smith and Mrs. R. B. Ball of Belleville; one sister, Mrs. Della Winters of Fort Smith; 32 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Bob L. Solley, age 78, of Rover passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was born September 25, 1937 in Carden Bottoms, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Styles R. "Judge" & Ann Bee Outlaw Solley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Lorrie Cannon, Regina Maughn; brothers, Don Solley, Loyd Solley; sisters, R.B. Ball, Zellar Alexander, Lois Goins, Annie Metcalf and Betty Young.

Larry "Don" Solley, 49, of Bluffton, AR died Friday, March 29 at his home in Bluffton. He was born in Scott County, AR November 26, 1946. He was a disabled timber worker. Son of the late S.R. "Judge" Solley and Annie Mae Outlaw.
Survivors include: one son, Donald Ray Solley of Lamar; Two daughters Angela Kay Arrowwood and Melinda Jones, both of Clarksville; two brothers,Tony Solley of Bluffton and Bobby Solley of Ft. Infant Eddie Ray Solley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Toney Solley of Plainview, died in the home Thursday morning, May 9. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Ola Clinic in Ola.
Survivors besides his parents include three brothers, David Charles, Kenneth Dale and Gregory Lynn of the home; one sister, Patricia Ann of the home. Also his paternal grandfather, S. R. Solley of Benton; his maternal grandparnets, Mr. and Mrs. Loy Weens of Bluffton.

William Franklin Son, Sr., age 83 of Plainview, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born November 19, 1926 in Lepanto, AR to the late William Nathaniel and the late Maudie Marie Cook Son.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry W. Son. William grew up as the oldest of ten children on his family's farm.
At the age of fifteen, William enlisted in the Navy. With an honorable discharge from the Navy after the end of World War II, William promptly re-enlisted into the Army where he faithfully served his country for 32 years. William is a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, as well as the Vietnam War. Throughout his career, he was stationed around the globe in various places including Germany, Alaska, the Philippines, Hawaii, Korea, and Vietnam. Upon honorably retiring from the military, William moved his young family to Plainview where he began a 30 year career in logging. Known by all as Sarge, he could often be seen unwinding after a brutal day in the log woods with a cup of coffee in his hand, visiting with good friends. Sarge retired from logging at the tender age of 78 after Alzheimer's began to take it's toll.
He is survived by his wife, Xuan Thi Truong Son of Plainview. They have four children; William Franklin Son, Jr. of Springdale; Michael David Son and wife Dawn Nicole Perkins Son of Bella Vista; daughters and sons-in-law, Lien Linda Marie and husband Bobby Lynn Smith of Ola; and Carol Maxine and husband Tony Lee Havener of Plainview; grandchildren Thi-Marie Aileen Smith of Danville, Jacob Lynn Smith of Ola, Darren Patrick Gillespie of Plainview, Cheyenne Marie Havener of Plainview, and William Paxton Son of Springdale; great grandchild Kaiden Parker Smith of Danville; his brothers, James Eugene Son of Manilla, Robert "Bob" Son of Newark, Thomas "Tommy" Son of Concord, Clarence Vernon Son of Apple Valley, CA. Patricia Ann Sonnier, age 71, of Shorter, Alabama died Thursday, March 5, 2015. She was born July 24, 1943 at Stockton, CA to the late James and Lola Marie Schubert Holland. She was a member of the Plainview Church of Christ, she loved to paint and read.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Villery and Helena Sonnier.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph "Pat" Sonnier of Scott, Louisiana; her children, Todd Daniels and wife Juliana of Shorter, Alabama, Traci Scarbrough and husband Allen of Alabama, Jason Bradberry of Louisiana; one stepson, Tim Sonnier of Scott, Louisiana; one brother, Bobby Holland and wife Michelle; three sisters, Jean Kniffen and husband Dee, Darlene McCullens and husband Rick and Freda Amie; two grandchildren, five step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.

Betty Jane Johnson Sorochuk, known to us as Susie, passed away April 18, 2007 in Randolph, Utah after a valiant batter with cancer. She was born to Ted and Helen Johnson on April 5, 1943 in McAlester, OK. She married Norman Sorochuk in 1963 and was later divorced. She was a resident of Libby, Montana for 18 years and later moved to Birta, AR where she worked as an LPN. She was known for being a very hard worker and for her loving way.
She is survived by two sons, Marty and Janie Sorochuk and Todd and Lorraine Sorochuk all of Randolph, UT; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Linda and Garry McElderry of Greeley, CO and Judy and Ron Taylor of Noxon, MT; two brothers, Billy Ted of Birta, AR and George Johnson of Little Rock, AR; four nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

He was born April 12, 1920 in Norfolk, Arkansas, to Frank and Bertha Mae Turner Southard. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a WWII Army Veteran, and a member of the Plainview VFW. He was a retired land and cattle farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Owen, Charley, and Willis Southard.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 53 years, Sylvia Deane Hunt Southard; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Patti Southard of Atkins; grandchildren, Andrea Dawn and Alex Crowder, Perryville, Cameron Lee and Brook, Brad Allen, and Lori Ann Southard all of Atkins. Willis M. Southard, age 93 of Gravelly, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at his home. He was born April 22, 1913 in Norfork, Arkansas, the eldest son of Frank and Bertha Turner Southard. In 1924 his family moved to Bluffton to manage his grandfather's cotton gin. He became a home builder, registered polled Hereford breeder, Mason, beloved husband and father. He took great pride in being a student and lover of nature. He was a voracious reader, being quite knowledgeable of past and present world events.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years in 1990, Lois Lofland Southard, eldest daughter, W. June Jelinek, brother, Rev. Charles Southard, and parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan Haas and husband Dr. George Haas of North Little Rock, son-in-law James Jelinek of Knoxville, TN, three grandchildren; two sisters, Ilene Wood and Navalene Southard of Gravelly, one brother, Warren Southard of Gravelly, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mildred Lucille Wyatt Southwick, age 89, passed away August 8, 2011. She was born October 10, 1921 in Alma, AR, the daughter of John and Amelia King Wyatt. Raised in Havana, AR, Lucille moved to Pine Bluff in 1962 where she worked for the National Bank of Commerce until she retired in 1978. She loved travelling, the outdoors and was an avid gardener. Her favorite hobby was quilting and she excelled at it. She was actively involved as a member of the Watson Baptist Church and was greatly blessed by many friends she has there.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters and her beloved husband, Bob Southwick.
She is survived by two step- daughters, her brother, Johnny Wyatt and numerous nieces and nephews who miss her greatly.

Khamphanh "Kam" Souvannakhoth, age 67, of Russellville died Friday, March 23 at his home. He was born March 1, 1945 in Savannakhet, Laos. He was a retired machine operator for Con Agra and a member of the thai buddhist temple in Ft. Smith and the Arkansas River Valley Laos Immigrant support group.
He is survived by his wife, Sayphone Souvannakhoth, children, Susan Hicks of Russellville, Elizabeth "Nok" Webster of Conway, Tino Souvannakhoth of Las Vegas, NV, mother, Pheng Souvannakhoth of Laos, sisters, Nancy Sanavongsay of Holland, MI, Souphaphone Vongvilay of Laos, brother, Oudom Souvannakhoth of Laos and six grandchildren.
Service was Tuesday at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with monks from the thai buddhist temple in Ft. Smith officiating. Mrs. Fannie Lue Sowell, age 98, of Letona, mother of Jerry Rigdon of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, July 9, 1985.

... Special to The Commercial DUMAS - Lina Rana Spainhouer, 85, a homemaker amd a resident of Desha County for the past 48 years, died Tuesday at the Dumas Nursing Center. She was a member of Watson Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Jim Bill Patterson, J. D. Patterson, Bobby Spainhouer and H D Spainhouer, all of Watson; three daughters, Opal Smallwood of Watson, Millie Cooper of Helena and Mary Jane Wallace of Houston, a sister, Mildred Buford of Danville, 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Jewell Virginia Spainhour, age 74, died Friday, September 10, 1999 at her home in Texas. She was formerly of Belleville, AR. She was born Jan. 20, 1925 in Georgia. She was retired from Wayne Farms and more recently had worked in the Haltom Road Baptist Church Library and had also volunteered at the Northeast Emergency Distribution Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Spainhour, who died in 1975.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia "Ginger" and Ronald Laster; three sons, James E. Spainhour, Frederick A. Spainhour and Carl Allen Spainhour; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Nancy Hall; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Pat Venuso and Percy and Harold McGuiggan; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was born October 3, 1938 at Russellville to Barney W. and Irene Burk Lipe. She was a receptionist and a tutor for the Pope County Literacy Council in Russellville and a member of the Ola First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Sparacino; father, Barney W Lipe; and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Ernest Sparks; five brothers, John "Bud", Vernon "Banny", Raymond, Burvel and Kenneth Wilker; two sisters, Eula Bowden and Janet Davis; one sister-in-law, Ollie Petray.

Arlene Mae Spaulding, age 91 of Danville, died Monday July 15, 2002 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on April 23, 1911 to the late Willard and Dolly Good Leach. She was a mother and homemaker, enjoyed playing bridge, hunting and fishing with her husband.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, and two sisters.

Richard E. Spaulding, 98 of Rancho Murieta, California, died August 21, 2008 in Longmont, Colorado. He was born January 23, 1910 in Elmira, New York to Charles and Mida Matilda Spaulding. Richard served for the U. S. Navy. He married Arlene May Leach in Elmira, New York. He was an engineer for Lockheed including their Skunk Works division. Richard was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Elks, Chamberlyne Golf and the Chinchilla Association. He enjoyed raising chinchillas, woodworking, bird watching, gardening, hunting, fishing, singing, and reading and reciting poetry.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a grandchild, Terry Sprague.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Roberts and her husband Art of Longmont, Linda Lorraine-Gershenoff and her husband, Richard of California and Debra Spaulding of Albuquerque, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Mindy Sprague, Tina Sprague, Steve Roberts, Jeff Roberts, Melissa Cervantes, Kathy Lorraine-Richter and John Richard Lorraine and nine great-grandchildren, Justin Sprague, Jessica Derrico, Roxanne Derrico, Ben Arrigo, Aaron Arrigo, Sierra Arrigo, Tyler Roberts, Erik Richter and Analise Richter.
