Jessie Lee Smith, age 97, of Danville died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. Born September 13, 1908 in Danville she was the daughter of the late Charlie Arthur and Lela Carr Staggs. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Plainview Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Smith; daughters, Peggy Sue Stewart, Betty Lou Smith; brothers, Noble Staggs, Opal Staggs; sisters, Ruby Staggs, Lola Shubert; great-grandsons, Jacob, Samuel and Lucas Smith and great-great-grandson, Bradley Smith.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Cleva Smith and Robert and Loa Smith all of Plainview; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Larry Bates of Plainview, eleven grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, July 25 at the Plainview Church of Christ with Butch Gossett officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville. Pallbearers were grandsons. Mrs. Jewel Gladden Smith, age 96 of Dumas, Arkansas born in Briggsville, Arkansas on January 8, 1900, she was the daughter of the late, William Frank and Susan Tolbert Mathis Gladden.
Mrs. Smith departed this life in Dumas, Arkansas on September 12, 1996, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice N. Smith. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church, U. M. W. Willie Arnold Circle and Eastern Star.
Services Saturday, September 14, 1996 at 3:00 P. M. in the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Therral Wilson, officiating, followed by burial in Walnut Lake Cemetery.
Survivors are her son, Nathan Smith of Glendale, Arizona also two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Joe T. Smith "JT", age 83 of Waveland, Arkansas was born November 16, 1924 in Booneville, Arkansas to John M. and Willie M. (Oliver) Smith. He passed away February 21, 2008 in Danville, Arkansas. He was a heat & air repairman and could also repair TVs, radios, and guns. He attended the Waveland Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Smith.

PLAINVIEW - Joe Wayne Smith, age 54, of Plainview died June 22, 1986 at St. Vincent's Infirmary at Little Rock. He was a native of Plainview, a rancher and businessman. He was the son of the late Chester Arthur Smith, and a member of the Plainview Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Robinson Smith; a son, John Wayne Smith; a granddaughter, Cindy Smith; his mother, Mrs. Okla Smith; a brother, Charles Smith, and a half brother, William C. Reich, all of Plainview, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was born in Carden Bottom on August 3, 1929 to the late Eurby and Johnnie Mae Maxey Moore. She was the widow of Ted Smith, member of the Faith Church, the Council Oaks 589 Order of Easter Star, was a mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by, a daughter, Shelia Smith and three brothers, Peck Moore, Dick Moore and J. E. Moore.
She is survived by, three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Michael Maggard of Russellville, Cheryl and Dale Kenner of Knoxville, AR and Cindy and Robin Carpenter of Havana, AR; three brothers, William E. Mrs. Julia Ann Smith, age 67, of Ola died Thursday, December 17, 1981 at Yell County Nursing Home at Ola. She was a former clerk, daughter of the late Marion and Ida Bell Hankins George, and was a member of Park Place Baptist Church at Little Rock.

Kenneth Leon Smith, age 81, of Mena, passed away Monday, October 29, 2001, at his home. He was born January 20, 1920, in Yell County, AR, to the late Earl Smith and the late Virgie Joiner Smith. He was united in marriage to Frances Florene Crowe, January 15, 1949, in Havana, AR. Mr. Smith served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Mena where he formerly served as Deacon and Secretary Treasurer. Mr. Smith was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Florene Smith of Mena, AR; a son, Ken and his wife Rita Smith of Nacogdoches, Texas; two daughters, Darlene and her husband Earl Teeter of Waxahachie, Texas, and Carol Roberts of Mena, AR; a brother, Harold Smith of Dardanelle, AR; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lonnie Smith and Glen Smith.

Kermit Harold Smith, 89 of Dardanelle, passed away Saturday, February 07, 2015. He was born September 10, 1925 at Havana to the late Thomas Earl and Virgie Joiner Smith. He was a 1943 graduate of Havana High School and a 1950 graduate of Pharmacy School at University of the Ozarks College in Clarksville. He was a former elder of the Havana Presbyterian Church and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Pharmacist in the Medical Corp in Europe from 1950 to 1952. Returning home, he continued his Pharmacy Career at Coger Drug in Danville from 1952 to 1955, Walker Drug in Russellville from 1955 to 1960, Boyd Drug in Morrilton from 1960 to 1961, Walker Drug in Russellville from 1961 to 1966, as the owner of Rogers Drug in Russellville from 1966 to 1976, V.A. Hospital in Little Rock from 1976 to 1995. In 2000, he received his Gold Certificate for 50 years of Pharmacy Service. He actually worked as a pharmacist until he was 70 years old.
Harold loved the time he and Ada Sue got to spend with the girls, granddaughters Meagan and Abby, and loved every minute of it! He said he was so happy he got to share his role of grandpa with them!! Harold and his wife Ada Sue spent many happy hours enjoying their morning coffee while watching all of GOD's creatures putting on a show, just for them it seemed!! He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leon Smith, Glen Smith, Lonnie Smith and his first wife, Mildred Adcock Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Sue Bland Ray Smith; step-daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Patrick Carmack; two granddaughters, Meagan and Abigail Carmack, all of Conway; three nieces, Pat Fredrick and great nephew, Wade Fredrick of Havana; Debbie Phillips and great nephews, Nathan and Ryan Phillips all of Danville; Carol Smith of Mena; one nephew, Kenny Smith of Nacogdoches, Texas.

DARDANELLE - Lloyd Lendon Smith, age 86, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, January 22, 1985. He was a retired banker, son of the late Juie and Martha Blackwell Smith, and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include several cousins.

Lola M. Smith, born January 17, 1916, died Tuesday, February 29th, 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Smith on December 10, 1984.
She is survived by, her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Betty Smith; three grandchildren, Amy, Ben and William Smith; one sister, Edna Haire; one brother, Henry Ward and numerous nieces and nephews. Since 1972 she had been a member of Ross Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas.

Lucy Christine Smith, age 77, passed away February 14, 2008 at her home in Quinlan, TX. She was born on April 5, 1930 in Clarksville, AR to the late Isabella and Buren Lipe and lived most of her school years in Clarksville and Ola. She joined The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1971 and has remained steadfast since that time.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Corkey Lipe.

Martin Bruce (Buck) Smith, age 87, of Ola, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. The son of Armor and Vida Snell Smith, he was born April 17, 1920, in Adona, AR. He married Mary Sue Nelms on June 25, 1981, at Benton. He was a police officer at the Arkansas State Hospital for 18 years. He was a second degree Mason, an honorary member of Fraternal Order of Police and a member of the Adona Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lottie (Helms Smith; and two brothers, J. B. Smith and Ralph Smith.

Mike G. Smith, age 61, of Russellville, AR died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at his home. He was born August 29, 1944, at Morrilton to Joe Henry and Naida Belle Wheeler Smith. He was a 1962 graduate of Russellville High School and a 1977 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, where he was a dedicated member of the track and football teams. He attended the Fellowship of Christians, and was raised and baptized in the Assemblies of God. He was the owner of Mike Smith Trucking and helped his wife with their other business, Dickey Refrigerated Service, Inc. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, antique trucks, and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Smith of Russellville; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Mark and Janis Watts of Belleville; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Annie and Tony Cain of Belleville; his mother, Naida Smith of Russellville; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Lavoin Ballinger of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Savannah Kilbum, Santannah, Shelby, and Silas Cain, J. R. and Dalton Watts and Katy Petchenick; a nephew, Brian Ballinger of Carson City, Nev. a niece, Rhonda Reese of Houston, Texas; five grandnieces, Taylor and Alexa Ballinger, and Riley, Ragan, and Rikki Reese; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at Friday, March 31st, at the Shinn Chapel officiated by Rev. Jerry Schlinker and the Rev. Jason Holcomb. The Rogers-Rye Post 2283 Veterans of Foreign Wars provided military honors in the Ball Hill Cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers were Tommy Hindsman, Mark Taylor, Mike Wood, Mark Chronister, Norman Chronister, Jimmy Sparks and Jackie Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Stewart, Bryan Ballinger, Craig Kilburn, Bill Hemmer, Dickie Spiller, Cliff Franks and Jim Wade. Mildred Adcock Smith, age 82, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1920, in the New Hope community to the late Robert Sidney and Fannie May Robinson Adcock. She was a bank teller and was partners in business with her husband for many years.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Adcock, William Adcock and Robert Adcock; and a sister, Hazel Fraiser.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Kermit H. Smith; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and John Gaddis of Fort Smith; a sister-in-law, Ethel Mae Adcock of Dardanelle, and several nephews and nieces.
Services were Friday, June 14, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle with the Rev. Milton Cowling and Bro. Bobby Loyd officiating. Mrs. Mima Estelene Smith, age 66, of Aly, AR died Sunday, October 16, 1994 at her home in Aly. She was born January 26, 1928 in Aly, daughter of the late Marvin and Sallie Parker Stokes. She was the widow of Dave Smith, a mother and homemaker and member of the Aly Church of God.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Ann Smith, granddaughter, Gayla Lambert, and nephew, Greg Swaim.

Miriam Lynn Smith, age 63, of Anderson, MO, died Sunday, February 8, 1998 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, Neosho, MO. She was born February 16, 1934 at Belleville, AR. She moved to Anderson two years ago from Joplin, where she had resided many years. She was co-owner of Smith Real Estate Agency, Anderson from 1973 to 74. She was a nurses aide in the oncology ward at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, from mid-1980s to 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Anderson.
She was preceded in death by two sons.

Nan Ricker Smith of Rogers died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale, AR. She was born March 28, 1940 in Plainview, AR to William Loye and Faye Evelyn English Ricker. She was a teacher and principal from 1962 to 1977. She began her thirty year career with the Bill Fleeman family in 1977 and continued to work for the Fleeman family until her death spending twenty three of those years working for America's Car-Mart Inc. which was founded by Bill and Jeannie Fleeman in 1981.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Ricker and Kerry Ricker; one sister, Beth Burnham.
