Warren Glen Smallfield, age 86, of Russellville died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1924 at Independence, Missouri to the late Alfred and Louise Piper Smallfield. He was of the Christian Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Katherine Smallfield.
Survivors include one son, Stan Smallfield of Russellville; one daughter, Vikki Baldassari of Parthenon; six grandchildren, Chanda, Sarah, Chester, Arianne, Lief, Meara and six great grandchildren.

Billy Jim Smallwood departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at home. He was born May 27, 1932, at Bluffton, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Bertha Mae Hilburn Smallwood, and his sister, Mildred Irene Smallwood Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Sue Vickers Small-wood, and his children, Kelvin Lyle Smallwood of Piano, Texas, and Sharon Kay Small-wood Burton of Newbern, Tenn. two grandchildren, Amy Michelle Smallwood and Brooke Elizabeth Burton; daughter-in-law, Donna Small-wood; son-in-law, Clay Burton; one niece, Karen Williams Wieman of Arkadelphia. Billy Jim was a self-educated engineer, avid outdoorsman and graduate of Draughn's Business School. He served in the 603rd Air Force Squadron during the early 1950s and later worked for RCA. He had retired from International Paper in 1998 after many years of service.
Memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 13, at 2 p. m. at Smith's Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with the Rev. Ray Borel officiating. The family will be at 211 Chinaberry Circle in Hot Springs, Ark. until Thursday evening, then at 2512 Regency in Magnolia before and after the service. Mrs. Emma Smallwood, 93, of Dumas died March 19 in a nursing home in McGehee. She was a former resident of Fourche Valley.
Surviving are six sons, Howard and Leonard Smallwood, both of Texas, Jim Smallwood of Bluffton, Alva Smallwood of Tyro, Sam and Otis Smallwood, both of Gould; four daughters, Mrs. Hattie Billingsley, Mrs. J.A. Mr. Henry Marcus Smallwood, age 92 of Bluffton, died Tuesday July 18, 1995 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born June 24, 1903 in Bluffton, son of the late Bud and Jeannie Smallwood. He was a retired Yell County Land Surveyor, member of the Bluffton Baptist Church, and the Bluffton Masonic Lodge 123. He held the position of Secretary of the Lodge for over 25 years.

Blacksmith Dies; Rites at Haskell -- Joseph Jackson Smallwood, 78, retired blacksmith died Monday night at his home in Haskel, Texas of a heart attack. Mr. Smallwood was born Feb. 21, 1803 [sic 1883] in Bluffton, Arkansas, and married Ida Burns on December 13, 1903. The family moved to Haskell in 1920 from Delta County.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Holden Funeral Chapel here with Jim Pennington, minister of Haskell Church of Church, and Doyle Maynard, minister of the Rule Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery.

She was born July 14, 1932, in Bluffton, Arkansas to the late Harold Lee and Elizabeth (Horton) Montgomery. She was a member of the Bluffton Methodist Church and Gravelly Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ernest Potter and Henry Smallwood; and a grandson, Christopher Jefferson.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Russell Jefferson of Hot Springs; sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Potter of Bluffton, Paul and Teresa Smallwood of Chickalah; five grandchildren, Matthew Jefferson of Hot Springs, Lucas Loving of Fayetteville, Katelyn Smallwood of Pottsville, Nicholas Loving of Russellville and Clint Smallwood of Russellville.

Ella Mae Smelley, age 63 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2013, in Livingston. Ella was born on May 13, 1949, in Gravelly, Arkansas, to parents John Henry and Maggie Jewel Johnson Ogden.

"Grandma" Minnie Smith, age 95, a resident of Ola, AR, formerly of Plainview, AR died Monday, February 9, 1998 at the Yell County Nursing Home at Ola. She was born December 9, 1902 at Fulton County, AR to Thomas and Carey Sears Gaither. She was a homemaker and worked several years at the Ola Nursing Home retiring in the early 1980's. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainview for over 60 years. She was the widow of the late Elmer Smith and also preceded in death by four sons, Boss, P. K. Jason and Robert Smith and a grandson, Clifton Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Tucker of Dardanelle, AR; two sisters, Velta Gaither of Batesville, AR and Julia Hay wood Of Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Charles Herbert "Buck" Smith, age 78, died Sunday, July 8, 2007. He was born November 17, 1928 to the late Chester Arthur & Okla Cummins Smith. He spent almost his entire life in Plainview and never wanted to live anywhere else.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss, his Lucy; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Charles and Michelle and Kenneth and Benita Smith; four grandsons, two granddaughters; nine great grandchildren and many, many other relatives and good friends.
