Rounsaville, Bonnie Jean "Moie"

Bonnie Jean "Moie" Rounsaville, age 73, died December 28, 2000 in Coos Bay. She was born August 8, 1927 in Bluffton, AR to Arvil and Pearl (Billingsley) Lackey. She grew up in Bluffton and graduated from Fourche Valley High School. She married R. T. "Bob" Rounsaville December 24, 1947 in Bluffton, the couple moved to North Bend that year. She was an excellent mother, grandmother, gardener, cook and was an immaculate homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, R. T. "Bob" Rounsaville of Coos Bay; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Chris Swanner of North Bend; granddaughters, Kim and James Patrick of North Bend and Kathy and Joe Peak of Myrtle Creek; two great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Lou and Bill Hawkins of Coos Bay.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Lois.

Funeral service was held January 3, 2001 at Coos Bay Chapel with Norm Russell officiating. Private interment was held at Ocean View Memory Gardens, Coos Bay. Rounsaville, Edythe Elzora (Campbell)

TISHOMINGO -- Funeral for Edythe Elzora Rounsaville, 102, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Janice Hall, Roger Rounsaville and Tandy Troutman officiating. Interment will be at Coleman Cemetery. Mrs. Rounsaville was born September 1, 1898, in Vanzant County, Texas, to Henry and Mollie Ann Riggs Campbell and died Friday in a Tishomingo nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earnest H. Rounsaville on March 9, 1960; two sons: Wilford Claud "Buddy" Enos and Ernest Verdell Rounsaville; a daughter, Ivy Evelyn Ingrum; six stepsons: Ray Rounsaville, Grady Rounsaville, Clifford Rounsaville, Chester Rounsaville, Leon Enos and C.D. Enos; a stepdaughter, Fay Yates; and a brother, Ewell Campbell. She lived her early years in Texas and moved to Johnston County in 1923. She was a homemaker and worked as assistant post master at the Coleman Post Office for several years.

She is survived by two daughters: Edythe Robertson and Earline Kunkle, both of Tishomingo; a stepdaughter, Lucille Chaney, Fillmore; four sisters: Vada Thompson, Ravia; Dussie Thompson, Tishomingo; Lillie Fisher, of Alabama; and Ruth Gilbert, Van, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Effie Vines Rounsaville, age 92, of Poplar Bluff, MO, formerly of Bluffton, AR died Tuesday, August 2, 1998 at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff. She was born March 29, 1906 at Sims to J.C. and Lester Ophelia Maddox Vines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rounsaville; three sons, John E. Turner, J.C. Turner and Harvey P. Turner; and two daughters, Patricia Ann Rounsaville and Juanita Blankenship.

Survivors include: a son, Howard Turner of Rover; a step-son, R.T. Rounsaville of Oregon; a step-daughter, Mary Miles of Hot Springs; a brother, Thurman Vines of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Geneva Turner of Gadsden, AL; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Effie Vines Rounsaville, age 92, of Poplar Bluff, MO, formerly of Bluffton, AR died Tuesday, August 2, 1998 at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff. She was born March 29, 1906 at Sims to J. C. and Lester Ophelia Maddox Vines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rounsaville; three sons, John E. Turner, J. C. Turner and Harvey P. Turner; and two daughters, Patricia Ann Rounsaville and Juanita Blankenship.

Rounsaville, Henry Elmer

Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery for Henry Elmer Rounsaville.

Mr. Rounsaville died Wednesday, northwest of Toyah. He was born Oct. 20, 1908 in Sweetwater. He was a Baptist. A rancher, Mr. Rounsaville had lived in Pecos for 15 years.

Henry E. Rounsaville - Truck wreck claims life of local rancher A Pecos rancher was killed in a traffic accident Wednesday that also injured his passenger, a Carlsbad man. Henry E. Rounsaville was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday. Jeffrey R. Wallace, 19, was treated and released from Reeves County Hospital with minor head lacerations he suffered in the one-vehicle accident. Wallace, a ranch hand, was a passenger in the pickup. According to Department of Public Safety officials, the accident occurred about 9:30 a.m. about 12 miles north of Toyah on an unnamed county road in Reeves County.

Rounsaville was driving a Ford F-250 pickup south on the road when he swerved to avoid striking a horse. The pickup went into a skid, hit an embankment, was airborne for 37 feet, and rolled over once in a pasture on the east side of the roadway, DPS reported. The driver was thrown from the pickup. Neither Rounsaville nor Wallace were using seat belts, according to DPS reports. Rounsaville was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Reeves County Justice of the Peace J.T. Marsh. Mrs. Maud Rounsaville, age 80, of Ft. Smith died Sunday, August 26.

Rounsaville, Patricia Ann

Young Girl Killed by Electricity -- Patricia Ann Rounsaville, 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rounsaville of near Gravelly, was killed Thursday afternoon when she came in contact with a butane pipe, charged with electricity, when she crawled under the home to gather eggs. Wires from an electric clock setting near a butane stove in the kitchen, grounded the entire butane system when it came in contact with the stove.

The girl had gone under the house, where some of the hens had been laying eggs to gather the eggs. When found, her body was in contact with the butane pipe. Her mother went to rescue the daughter, and received severe shock, when she touched the girl's body. Efforts were made to revive the girl, but were unsuccessful. She was a student in Fouche Valley high school, and a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors, besides the parents, are three brothers, and two sisters.

Rounsaville, William Thomas

William Thomas Rounsaville, age 84 of Gravelly died Thursday, July 17, 1975 at the Dardanelle Convalescent Home. He was a native of Yell County, a retired farmer, the son of the late William and Emma Raper Rounsaville. He was a member of the Bluffton Methodist Church and a Master Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Effie Vines Rounsaville; two sons, R. T. Rounsaville of Oregon and Howard Turner of Rover; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Miles of Hot Springs and Mrs. Juanita Blankenship of Little Rock; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at the Bluffton Methodist Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. George Pattern officiating. Interment was at the Bluffton Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Services. Arrangements and services were in care of the Cornwell Funeral Service of Danville. Roush, Grace F.

Mrs. Grace F. Roush, age 83, Dardanelle died Friday, August 24, 1984 at Dardanelle Hospital. She was the widow of Markus T. Roush and a member of Fair Park Baptist Church. She had served as pianist at the Little Creek and Marlow Baptist Churches in Sheridan, and at Fair Park Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by three sons, James Russell, John Allen and Robert Neil Roush.

Survivors include two daughters, Myrtis Wooldridge of Magnolia and Lois Jane Bryan of Oklawaha, Fla.; a brother, John L. Carter of Leavenworth, Kan.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Miss Myrtle B. Roush of Russellville.

Velda Marie Rowden, 93 of Ola, died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at her home. She was born December 3, 1911 at Monticello, Kentucky to the late Romer Ross and Mary Etta Withers Ross.

Daniel Charles Rowland, age 52 of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX. He was born June 14, 1956 at Tyronza to Charles Richard and Annie Brock Rowland. He was the owner of Rowland plumbing in Dardanelle. He was a member of the Dardanelle Freewill Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Rowland.

Rowland, Hoyte N.

Hoyte N. Rowland, 48, of Little Rock, was found dead last Thursday in his Adler Hotel room in Memphis. His death resulted from a hear attack. Rowland was field supervisor for the Department of Agriculture's Stabilization and Conservation Committee. A graduate of Oucahita College he attended Arkansas State Teachers College and had taught school for several years in West Memphis. He was a member of the Highland Methodist Church.

Penny Jo Rowland, 36, of Dardanelle, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at her home in Dardanelle. She was born October 10, 1973 to the late Charles Richard Rowland and Annie Marie Brock Hoffman.

She is preceded in death by her father and a brother, Dan Rowland.

Bob Ira Rowlands, age 87, a resident of Hector, AR, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 10, 1922, in Pope County to Richard Allen and Arkie Hurst Rowlands. He was a member of the First Assembly of God at Hector and the Arkansas Cattlemens Association. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 12th Armored Division and received the Purple Heart in the battle of Herrlisheim, Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred Fern Rowlands; and his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Willette Rowlands of Russellville and Don Robert and Janis Juliann Rowlands of Hector; a daughter, Janie Rowlands Chambers of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Kristen Suzanne Rowlands Minton and her husband, Dr. Randy Minton of Little Rock, Rebecca Carol Rowlands Jackson and her husband, Matthew Scott Jackson of Jonesboro, Keri Chambers Barber of New York, New York, Susan Chambers Salter of Fayetteville, Laura Chambers of Fayetteville, and Mary Elyse Rowlands and Catherine Grace Rowlands, both of Hector; eight great-grandchildren, Adrianne Caroline Minton of Little Rock, Sloan Chambers Barber and Olivia Reece Barber, both of New York, Alyssa Chambers Salter, Julia Elizabeth Salter, Alexander Cole Salter, and John Kohnly Kaffka, all of Fayetteville, and Levi William Welsh of Hector; a niece, Bennie Ruth Tackett and numerous great nephews and nieces.

The funeral was May 30, 2009, at the First Assembly of God at Hector with the Rev. Larry Moore and the Rev. Larry Don Smith officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Hector under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers were Vic Cole, Gary McDonald, Kenny Bull, Rev. Rowlett, Carolyn

Carolyn Rowlett, age 74 of Russellville, died Thursday, February 15, 2007, at Baptist Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1933, at Marvell, AR to the late Fred and Effie Lee Hindsley Burns.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Bateman Burns, Troy Burns and an infant sister, Katherine Rimmer.

Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" Rowlett of Russellville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Dr. Ted Duensing of Kenett, MO, Kathy Hutson of Conway; stepson, James M. Rowlett of Chattanooga, TN; three stepdaughters, Janice Dye of Tupelo, MS, Nancy Rowlett of Houston, MS, Teresa Grensberg of London; two brothers, Horace Burns of Cleveland, OH, Terry Burns of Marvell, AR; and one sister, Christine Manning of Hot Springs; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held February 17, 2007, at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Ken Morphis officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Russellville. Pallbearers were Wayne Haney, Tom Houston, Dr. Ted Duensing, Ernie Ernhart, Henry McClure and Woody Woodard. Mrs. Martha Delta Rowlett, age 79, of Waldron, mother of Muriel Woodall of Danville, died Thursday, December 11, 1980.

Rowlett, Robbie Almagene (Ramey)

Robbie Almagene Rowlett, 98, of Russellville, formerly of Danville, died Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was a retired Yell County librarian. The daughter of Emma E. (Shumate) and James Columbus Ramey, she was born July 12, 1916 in Durham, AR. Her family moved to Fayetteville in the fourth grade where she continued her education. She was a 1941 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BSE in Home Economics. Her first job after college was with the US Agricultural Extension Service at Pine Bluff, AR. She transferred to Izard County after six months as home extension agent and then after a year in Melbourne to Marshall, AR where she stayed another 2-1/2 years. She married William Rufus Rowlett of Marshall, AR on April 9th, 1944 at her parent's home in Fayetteville with her father presiding. She accompanied Rufus to Danville in 1945 where he was employed with the US Soil Conservation Service. Robbie worked as secretary to the county school supervisor in Danville from 1946 to 1967. She was also appointed Yell County Librarian in 1951 and was instrumental in opening the new Danville library in 1967. She continued to work as librarian until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of the Danville Church of Christ, Delta Kappa Gamma Society and the Danville Music Club. She was also affiliated with the Arkansas and American Library Associations, Business and Professional Women's Club, Yell County Historical Association and the Western Yell County Cancer Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, James (Bunky) Marion Ramey and Beryl Dane Ramey.

Survivors include her son, William Rufus Rowlett, Jr.. and daughter-in-law Stacy Leigh (Burgess) of Russellville, her sister Mary Alice Smith of Laguna Beach, CA, three grandchildren, Amber Elizabeth Lea of Zachary, LA, Katherine Anne Rowlett of Chicago, IL and Chase Harlan Rowlett of Fayetteville, AR, Two sisters-in law, Clara Dean Ramey of Fayetteville AR, Lona Rowlett of Harrison, AR, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Danville Church of Christ, the Yell County Library or the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. Graveside service and internment will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3rd in the Shumate cemetery at Durham, AR. Karen J. Roy, 52, died Sunday October 7, 2012, at her home in Auburn, IN. She was born September 23, 1960, in Elgin IL, to Levon L. and A. Irene (nee Katschke) Lincoln. Her father has passed away, her mother survives in Auburn. She worked as a waitress at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, IL for 13 years before retiring June 10, 2007.

Karen is survived by her mother; three children, Doug R Iddings of Danville, AR, Brittany N. (Kevin) Kamiski of Hoffman, IL and Brandon R.A. Roy of Auburn; five sisters, Patricia M. (William) Wible of Auburn, Janet L. (Steve) Garman of Angola, Laura L. (Don) Buck of Texas, Cheryl I. Kendregan of Grand Rapids, MI and Rebecca A. Royal, Jesse

Jesse Royal, age 90, of Pleasanton, TX, passed away November 20, 2002 at his home. He was born May 1, 1912 in Verdi, TX to Frank and Lottie Royal. He was a faithful member of the Verdi Church of Christ, where he had a very active role and was dedicated to the furtherance of the gospel. He attended school through 10th grade at Verdi and graduated at Pleasanton in 1930. In 2000 he had his 70th high school reunion and was honored as Homecoming King. In 1939 he married Lois Schneider and they have five children. His family celebrated his 90th birthday in May of this year where he entertained guest with songs he played on his harmonica. Jesse and Lois celebrated their 63rd anniversary in June. He loved horses and life's work of farming. In 1951 he moved his family to Danville, AR for five and a half years, and made many friends who became extended family.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Royal of Pleasanton, TX; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and LaNell Royal of LaCoste, TX and Floyd and Lisa Royal of Pleasanton, TX; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Leland Hall of Belleville, AR, Barbara and Joe Hughes of Grapevine, TX and Leola and Herb Cresswell of Littleton, CO; a brother, Ned Royal and a sister, Joy Foster, both of Pleasanton, TX; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Ruble, Frances Evelyn

Frances Evelyn Ruble, age 89, of Ola died Saturday, November 19, 2005, at the Yell County Nursing Home. She was born January 5, 1916, in Lawrence, IL to Francis Marion and Myrtle McCormick Smith. She was a mother and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Paul Ruble a brother, Robert Smith and a great grandson.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, James and Elaine Ruble of Minneapolis, MN daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Emil Michaels of Michigan City, IN, Barbara and Bob Rogers of Havana a sister, Mary Ella Sullivan of Washington, IN; 10 grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Rucinski, Billy Joe

Billy Joe Rucinski, age 48 of Russellville, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1956 at Russellville to Joseph and Billie Jean Rook Rucinski. He attended the Free Will Baptist Church in Ola and was a long time Champion Bull Rider.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Billie Jean Smith; grandparents, F.C. and Alta Rook.

Survivors are his wife, Keri Rucinski of Russellville; three sons, Joey Don Rucinski of Russellville, Kenny Ray Rucinski of Dardanelle, Bobby Joe Rucinski of Dardanelle; a step son, Ricky Rico of Russellville; a daughter, Laura Cheyanne Rucinski; father and step mother, Joseph and Joan Rucinski of MI; brother, Stacy Smith of Russellville; four sisters, Barbara Loveless of Atkins, Carol Wood of Russellville, Diane White of OK, Sammie Johnston of OK; two grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel, Dardanelle. Internment was in Bryant Cove Cemetery. Louis Rucker, age 56, of Hollis, AR died Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at his residence. He was born October 28, 1947 in Mesa, AZ to Louis E. Rucker, Sr. and Marie (Coulvene) Rucker. Louis was a member of Hollis Jesus Name Pentecostal Church. He was very adamant that all his grandchildren have a Christian education.

He is preceded in death by his father, Louis E. Rucker, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Rucker of Hollis, AR.; his mother, Marie Rucker of Tucson, AZ; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin & Karen Harvey of Hollis and Kenny Linda Harvey of Perryville; a daughter & son-in-law, Karen Joey Pate of Jessieville; 3 sisters, Linda Pena & Gloria Saline of Mesa, AZ and Kathy Bradshaw of Tucson, AZ; a brother-in-law, Richard Bradshaw of Tucson, AZ; 7 grandchildren. He leaves behind many friends and extended amateur radio family, whom he was affectionately known as K5KM, and an always loving Miss Priss, the family cat.

Services were Friday, December 5, 2003 at Hollis Jesus Name Pentecostal Church with Rev. Richard Humphreys officiating. Burial was in Hawks Cemetery, Hollis, AR. Rude, Robert "Bob"

Robert "Bob" Rude, 68, died Saturday July 14, 2001 at his home in Dardanelle. Born April 5, 1933, in overly, North Dakota, he was the son of the late Clarence and Helen Thorson Rude. He was a precision grinder for Centerless Grinding, Inc. near Dardanelle for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Genevieve Bundy.

Survivors include five brothers, James and Thomas Rude, Rugby, North Dakota, Carl Rude, Renton, Washington, Donald Rude, Bottineau, North Dakota, Rick Rude, Overly, North Dakota, two sisters, Mary Bjornseth, Portland, Oregon, and Joann Glessner, Sioux City, Iowa.
