Rose, Eula Mae (Bice) Owens

Eula Mae Bice Rose, age 82, of Danville passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014. She was born December 1, 1931 in Danville, AR to the late Jessie & Vera Viola Fowler Bice. She attended school at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church at Chalybeate Spring, AR. She enjoyed gardening, canning cooking and sewing. She was a member of Chalybeate Spring Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children Randy (Trish) Owens; Mary Furey; Jim (Debbie) Owens all of St. Louis, MO; brothers Bill Bice of Dover; Rick (Sue) Bice of Wladron; 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Chalybeate Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday July 20, at Cornwell Funeral Home. Rose, James Edward

James Edward Rose, age 63, of Dover, AR, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. The son of Joseph and Dora Ann Pledger Rose, he was born April 27, 1942 in Waltreak, AR. He married Dianne Louise Powers, on October 30, 1970 at Russellville. He was a Truck Driver. He was a member of the Retired member of Dover Volunteer Fire Department after twenty years of service and a member of the Dover United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Odell, Harold, Cecil, Earl Noblett; Bobby Rose; one sister, Sylvia Emery; .

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Rose of Dover; four sons, David A. and Teresa Rose, Pottsville, Billy J. and Stephanie Rose of Wonderview, Bobby J. and Terry Rose of Center Ridge, and Kevin L. Morgan of Dover; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four sisters Josie Ross of Ola, Betty Morris and Mamie Rogers both of Belleville, and Racheal Burfield of Ola.

Jimmy Ray Rose, age 66, of Plainview died Saturday, February 25th, 2017, at his home. He was born September 5, 1950 in TX to Rachel Elizabeth Noblett Rose and Edward Faye Rose. He was proceeded in death by his parents and step dad, Ralph Burfield, and brother Danny Burfield.

He is survived by his wife of 43 yrs, Mildred Rose of Plainview; son Jimmy Allen Rose (Chris) of Russellville, daughter Christy Wise (Willie) of Plainview, Billy Rose (Amy) of Ola, step son James Allen Pitts (Lisa) of Morrilton, and step daughter Teresa Pitts of Ola, brothers Larry Rose (Debbie) of Birta, Charles Rose (Leola) of Centerville, Caroll Rose (Linda) of Ola, Randy Burfield of Glenwood, sisters Brenda Treadwell of Ola, Debbie Holt (David) of Mt. George, Charlene Rainey (Darrell) of Casa, and grand-daughter Reanna Mckinley (Brandon) of Clarksville, Gabby Martinez of Morrilton, Brittany Martinez of Plainview, Madelyn Rose of Fayetteville, and Abigail Rose of Ola and numerous other grandkids and great grandkids. He was a member of Hilltop Church of Plainview, AR. Jimmy was retired from Deltic Timber after 32 years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his great grand daughters Arianna and Skylar. He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. Rose, Joseph David

OLA - Joseph David Rose, age 75, of Ola died Saturday, June 21, 1986 at St. Mary's Hospital at Russellville. He was a native of the Waltreak community, a retired sawmiller and son of the late Edward and Lillie Woodall Rose. He was a member of the Ola Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include three sons, James Rose of Dover, Earl Noblett of Belleville and Harold Noblett of Danville; five daughters, Sylvia Emery, Jocie Ross and Rachel Burfield of Ola and Mamie Rogers and Betty Morse of Belleville; two brothers, Ott Rose of Ola and Marshall Rose of Danville; two sisters, Allie Ishom of Nashville, Tenn. and Ivey Anderson of Tulsa, Okla. 39 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p. m. Monday, June 23, at the Ola Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Jerry Schlinker. Burial will be in Chlybate Springs Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service of Danville. Rose, Lora Ann

Lora Ann Rose, age one month, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Rose of near Dardanelle, died January 16, at a Little Rock hospital.

Survivors besides her parents are a half-brother, Rickey Charles Melder, one half-sister, Judith Faye Melder, and a sister, Deborah Kay Rose, all of the home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Latham of near Dardanelle.

Marshall "Pete" Rose, age 90, of Ola, AR passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born November 6, 1920 in Boles, AR to the late Edward and Lillie Holt Rose.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Mae Black Rose; brothers Joe, Oscar, Ray and Fay Rose; sister, Iva Anderson.

Rose, Rachel Ann (Hutchens)

Rachel Ann Rose, 70, of Russellville, passed away on March 4, 2015 in Little Rock. She was born March 7, 1944 in Lawrence, Kansas to Roy Riley and Tressie Miller Hutchens. She was a member of Ola Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Brian Rose.

She is survived by her beloved boyfriend, Dean Stewart; three sons and four daughters-in-law, Steve and Christie Rose, Ronnie and Susan Rose, Richard and Hayley Rose and Donna Rose; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Shinn Chapel. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Robert J. Rose, age 86 of Belleville, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was born November 14, 1922 in Aledo, IL to Marie Jackson and Robert Baldwin Rose. He was a WWII Veteran. He was a retired steel mill and Wilson Wood employee. He enjoyed old-time fiddling, watching sports and keeping up with the Danville Little Johns.

Sarah Christmas Rose, 75, of Belleville, died Thursday, October 27, 2011. She was born February 28, 1936 at Rose Creek, Arkansas, to Charley and Bertha Fitch Christmas. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 41 years Robert; four sisters and one brother.

Serene Orlene Rose age 90 of Ola died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born March 21, 1920 at Driggs, AR to the late Elcie D. and Ida Paxton Burnett She was a retired employee of the Yell County Nursing Home and had been a member of the Ola Assembly of God Church since August of 1942.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ott Rose; son, Troy Rose and a daughter, Tressie Holland.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law. Coy and Leona Rose; a son-in-law, Tommy Holland; a daughter-in-law, Faye Rose; twelve grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Mabel Irene Roseborough, age 86, of Havana. AR, died Thursday at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born August 31 1919 in Havana, AR, a daughter of the late Daniel Tolbert and Elna Hesoline DeRossitte Dixon. She was a retired Postal Service worker and aircraft industry employee. She was a member of the Yell County Historical Society and a community news writer for the Yell County Record.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; a brother Harold Alvis Dixon and a sister. Grace Evelyn Wilcox.

Survivors include a son, Roy David Roseborough of Longview, TX; a sister, Selma Faye Comer of Alexandria, VA; three brothers, James Henry Dixon of Sand Springs, OK, Raymond Eugene Dixon of Stigler, OK and Boyd Arnold Dixon of Beggs, OK; grandchildren, John David Roseborough of Austin, TX and Rebecca Ann Crabtree of Lumberton. TX.; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donald Ray Ross, age 76, of Plainview died Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born May 6, 1941, at Plainview, Arkansas to the late Herbert T. and Suda McCoy Ross.

He was the former mayor of Plainview, Arkansas and was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ross; his children, Donnie Ross, Elizabeth Bailey; one sister, Tommy Sue Wood and four grandchildren, Spencer, Sydnee, Charlotte and Madeline. Family conducted memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. George Ross, 87 years, 5 months, died at his home in Morrilton, Friday, November 7.

Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church, Booneville at 11 o'clock, November 8 with Rev. W. E. Huey, a beloved friend, pastor of the Presbyterian church, Havana, conducting the service.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Mrs. O. O. Fox, Hannan, Oklahoma, Mrs. Bernice Mobley, California, J. B. Ross, Morrilton, Clyde Ross, Hartrich, Kan., Noel Ross, California. Mr. Ross lived in Logan and Yell county practically all of his life, but the past 8 years has made his home with J. B. Ross, who now resides at Morrilton. He was a member of the Methodist. George U. Ross, 88, of Charleston, AR passed away November 18, 2016 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born January 13, 1928 in Charleston, AR to the late Jim and Myrtle McDonald Ross. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a two time Purple Heart recipient and a retired Rural Mail Carrier. Mr. Ross attended the First United Methodist Church of Charleston, and a member of the Masonic Lodge 131, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, member of the Order of the Eastern Star 16, a life member of the American Legion Post 8, member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother James Ross and two sisters La Rue Wald and Billie Bagwell.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Smith Mortuary Chapel and burial with Masonic Rights and full military honors will follow at the Garden of Memories cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, AR. James (Jim) Dale Ross, Sr., age 68, of Conroe, Texas, formerly of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010. He was a Vice President and Cashier at Worthen Bank, a partner and consultant of Profit Technology, consultant at Arthur Anderson and self-employed as a private bank consultant. He loved the Razorbacks and baseball which he played for many years. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Rader Ross of Conroe; a son, Jim and Tina Ross of Little Rock; a daughter, Karen Ross of Little Rock; a son, Chance and Deana Deere of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Maddie, Anna and Isabella Ross of Little Rock and Owen and Ella Deere of Houston, Texas; three brothers Red and Kaye Ross of Little Rock, Bill and Juanell Ross of Little Rock, and Bob and Lynn Ross of Kansas City, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Dona Ross of Yell County and a sister, Nellie Oneida (Sis) and Buddy Dickens of Little Rock.

Mrs. Lyda C. Ross, age 89, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. (1987) She was the daughter of the late Hardin T. and Mary Terry McTigrit, a homemaker, a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the VFW Post 8525 of Plainview, and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Robert E. Ross, 86, of Waveland died Thursday night at the Booneville City Hospital. He was a native of Paris, Texas.

Suda Ross, 95, formerly of Plainview, died Friday, March 3, 2017. The daughter of Beta and Grace McCoy, she was born October 21, 1921 in Plainview. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Plainview First Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert "Bo" Ross and her parents.

Suda is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Mary Ross of Plainview; a daughter and son-in-law, Tommye and Maurice Wood of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Thomas Dale Wood, Tracye Bush, Donald Ross II, and Elizabeth Bailey; eight great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and a sister Joyce Cottman.

Vera Elsie Ross, age 89 of Booneville, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at the Oak Manor Nursing Home in Booneville, Arkansas. She was born in Waveland, Arkansas on April 15, 1913 to the late Joseph Lee and Hattie Tapp Taylor. She was the oldest living member of the Havana Assembly of God Church. She was a mother and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Ross; two brothers, Alva Taylor and Iva Taylor and two sisters, Florence Catlett and Dora Harmon.

Henry Clay Roulston, age 74, of Delaware, AR died Thursday, October 21, 1999 at his home. He was born July 31, 1925 in Delaware, AR to the late Elmer S. and Jessie H. Jay Roulston. He was an Army Veteran and attended the Assembly of God Church. He worked for Wilson Packing Company in Oklahoma City, OK and then moved to Arkansas where he worked for Matt Cook Auto as a paint and body shop-man for 27 years and then worked for Riverside Furniture until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Roulston and a sister, Belva Corona.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen Farmer Roulston; two sons, Murphy Roulston of New Blaine, AR and Randy Lee Roulston of Delaware, AR; two sisters, Ivey Viola Keys of Wichita, KS and Ollie Mae Pike of Lewisville, TX; two grandchildren, Clayton Lee Roulston and Kristi Dawn Roulston both of Russellville, AR and a special friend, Candy Wilson of Delaware.

Rounsaville, Armittie "Mittie" Marie (Garner)

Mitty Marie Rounsaville, age 73, Atoka, died January 10, 1972 in the Atoka Memorial Hospital, as a result of heart failure. Mrs. Rounsaville was born in Nacona, Texas, June 16, 1898. She was the daughter of Samuel Reed and Mary M. (Cooper) Garner. She came to Oklahoma from Texas in 1913 and had resided in Atoka County for 45 years. She was married to Delbert H. Rounsaville, December 25, 1916 at Boggy Depot, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atoka.

Services were held Wednesday, January 12 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Kappenbach officiating. Interment was in West View Cemetery under the direction of The Atoka Funeral Home.
