LeDain Rogers, age 68, of Booneville passed away Friday, September 04, 2015, at Oak Manor Nursing & Rehab Center Booneville. He was born June 5,1947, in Belleville, Arkansas to the late Gene and Florence Wilkerson Rogers. He was a 1965, Graduate of Belleville High School. He was a truck driver for Littlefield Oil and R & R Pipeline. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a 43 year member of Blocher Masonic Lodge #247 Booneville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers, Robert & Danny Rogers; brother, David Rogers and sister, Doris Bariola.

Lessie Laura-Rogers, age 82 of Russellville, AR, widow of Sigle C. Rogers, died Saturday, February 10, 2001 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. She was born November 24, 1918 in Beaumont, TX to the late Ben and Lena Youngblood Watkins. She was a homemaker and mother, member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ and retired from International Shoe after 19 years.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Arvale C. and Pamela Rogers of New York City, NY, Lee and Sarah Rogers of Russellville, AR; two brothers, Rayford Watkins of Waco, TX, Donald Watkins and James Watkins both of Farmersville, TX; two sisters, Frances White of Washington, TX and LaVerda Peters of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Service was February 13, 2001 at the Dardanelle Church of Christ with Bro. Ralph Weinhold officiating. Lois Trilba Rogers was born July 8, 1916 at the Rogers Hotel in Havana, Arkansas. She went to be with her Lord on October 18, 2008. She was the daughter of William "Bill" Rogers and Molly Ramsey Rogers. She spent most of her working years in Little Rock and moved to Hot Springs in the 1960's. She has been a resident at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola since 2001. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Troy, Trenton, Ted and Therman and her sisters, Ratha Rogers Wiser and Ellen Rogers Slone. Lois was a retired telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and worked at Fort Robinson during WWII. She has also done many charitable works including in the 1950's making 200 lbs of peanut brittle to sell for the March of Dimes and 200 fruitcakes to raise money for a television for the boy's ward at Children's Hospital. Lois was also an avid dog lover and bird watcher. Her family stories, sense of humor and smile will be greatly missed.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Marti and Charlie Marx of California, Pat and Herb Looney of Oregon, Ida Sue Hall of Havana, Mary Nell and Coby OlIham of Indiana, and Bob and Barbara Rogers of Havana.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Havana Presbyterian Church with Rev. Moises Chan officiating. Burial was in the Havana Cemetery under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville. He was born October 6, 1942, in Belleville to Willie Martin (Bud) and Oniedia Capps Rogers. Don was retired from Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad where he worked as a foreman and supervisor. He had been the owner of Rogers Gulf/Chevron Service station in Booneville. He served three terms as Justice of the Peace on the Logan County Quorum Court. He was a member of the Glendale Baptist Church for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Orval and Kenneth Rogers.
Funeral service was held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Glendale Baptist Church near Booneville with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Matt Rogers was born January 28, 1872 and departed this life September 25, 1949 at the age of 77 years 7 months and 28 days. He was born on Mt. Magazine, Logan County and resided in the surrounding vicinity his entire life. He was united in marriage to Kate Manes in 1890, and to this union eleven children were born, eight of who survive. He was converted and joined the Premitative Baptist Church in his early married life.

DARDANELLE - Sigle C. Rogers, age 70, of Dardanelle died Thursday, October 23, 1986 at Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. He was a retired engineer at St. Mary's Hospital, and taught auto mechanics at Arkansas Tech University in the late 1940s and 1950s. He was a cattle farmer, a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ, and a former member and deacon of Fifth and Greenwich Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lessie Watkins Rogers; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arvalle C. and Pamela Rogers of New York and Lee and Sarah Rogers of Russellville; his mother, Mrs. Callie Grady Rogers of Danville; two brothers, Elva Rogers of Belleville and T. Mrs. Susan Caroline Rogers, age 79, died February 26, 1954 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Boyles, in Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. Rogers has been a resident of Wichita for the past eight years, having moved there from Havana.

Ted William Rogers, 85, of Cave Junction, OR, died Wednesday, October 22, 1997 at Three Rivers Community Hospital's Dimmick campus. He was born March 8, 1912 in Havana, AR to Bill and Mollie Rogers. He married the former Norene Spivey on June 25, 1932 in Havana, AR. He moved to Los Angeles in 1938, where he worked as a burner in the shipyards. In 1949 he moved to O'Brien where he owned and operated a sawmill. He also did some chrome mining. During the 1950s and 60s he owned and operated Ted's Shell Service in Cave Junction and was known by his customers as "Smiling Ted. " In 1974 he retired from Mock Ford. Following his retirement, he raised bees and sold honey and new hives, when he became known by many as the "bee man" He enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the Senior Citizen Dance Club. He was also on the board of directors of the Laurel Cemetery Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Looney of Brookings; a brother, Therman Rogers of Redding, CA; a sister, Lois Rogers of Hot Springs, AR; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Four County War Dead Arrive In U. S. Four Yell County World War II dead are among the 5,442 American dead due to arrive in New York on April 1 and 2. Being returned from military cemeteries at Henry Chapel, Belgium, and Valor's and Epical, France are the bodies of Pfc. Opal M. Archer, son of Idus R. Archer of Danville, Pvt. Jeff Black, son of Mrs. Veto Black of Bluffton and Pvt. Earnest O. Rolland, son of Mrs. Loud M. Rollans, Rt. 2 Belleville. Being returned from a D-Day cemetery in Normandy is the body of Cpl. Pat H. Lassiter, Jr. husband of Edna L. Lassiter of Belleville. Bentley B. Rollans, age 75, of Dardanelle died Saturday, November 2, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Russellville. Mr. Rollans was born December 17, 1926 in Delaware, Arkansas to the late Lonzo and Lillie McIntosh Rollans. He was a self-employed truck driver for Jack Wood Construction for forty years. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Delaware.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, T. W. Rollans, Ted Rollans, and W. L. Rollans; four sisters, Leona Mowery, Loretta Peden, Dorothy Rollans, and Annie Rollans.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Pfeifer Rollans; two brothers, J. B. Rollans of Dardanelle, Tommy Rollans of Bryant; two sisters, Patsy Smith of Russellville, Joyce Jones of Sanger, California; several nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends.
Services were Tuesday, November 5, 2002, 2:00 p. m. at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Rev. Wiley Jones and Rev. Mark Lashley officiating. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle. Pallbearers were Lawrence Vaughn, Jr., Joel Vaughn, Gary Rollans, Ben Deal, Jeremy Rollans, Bucky Talley, Doug Prater, Bobby Rollans. Services held for Pvt. Earnest Odell Rollans - Funeral services were conducted at New Hope Sunday, April 18 for Pvt. Earnest Odell Rollans, one of the heroic war dead returned from overseas for burial.
Pvt. Rollans, who was 36 years of age at the time of his death, lived near Danville when inducted into the army February 1, 1944. He landed in Italy August 15, 1944 with Company B. 143 Inf. 36th Div. 7th army. He was killed by a mine explosion in France, November 21, 1944. The body was first buried at Epinal, France, from where it arrived in Danville Saturday morning, April 17.
Full military rites were performed by the Danville American Legion Post and were conducted by Rev. Charlie Lankford, pastor of the Russellville Church of Christ assisted by Rev. John Freeman, pastor of the Danville Baptist Church. At the close of the services, Pvt. Rollan's widow was presented with the flag which draped the casket.

J.B. Rollans, born August 10, 1924 passed away peacefully May 6, 2011 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born and raised in Delaware, AR. He was the son of the late William Lonzo and Lillie Florence Mcintosh Rollans.
He was preceded in death by sisters Ruby Leona Mowrey, Dorothy Rollans, Elizabeth Rollans, Loretta Peden, and brothers Linden "Ted", Bentley, T.W., and William Rollans Jr.
He is survived by wife of 65 years, Janet Pfeifer Rollans, son Gary Rollans and wife Christi of Dardanelle, and daughter Rhonda Prater and husband Doug of Dardanelle. He is survived by sisters Joyce Jones of California and Patricia Smith of Russellville and brother Thomas Rollans of Bryant; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Jerry Lynn Rollans, age 57 of Danville, AR passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2000 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born on March 9, 1943 in Chickalah, AR to the late Virgil and Lucille Spivey Rollans. He was a retired Union carpenter, a Navy Veteran and a member of the Havana Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lynn Rollans, Jr. and two brothers-in-law, Bob Hobbs and Landon "Doodle" Burrows.

Kenneth Lowell Rollans, 77, of Little Rock, passed away November 13, 2013. He was born in Scranton [Arkansas] to Clarence and Mary Funkhouser Rollans and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. She was born December 9, 1913 in St. Joe, AR to the late Milton "Milt" and Sarah Delk Hancock. She was a homemaker, mother and caregiver and member of the First Baptist Church in Danville.

Mary Ann Rollans, age 86, of Dardanelle, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at her home in Dardanelle. She was born July 31, 1929, at Dardanelle to the late Joe and Tillie Sevie Pfeifer. She was a member of the Delaware First Baptist Church, and a home maker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband Bentley Rollans; one infant brother, Ray Edwin Pfeifer; sister May Rue Pfeifer; sister-in-law, Diane Pfeifer; and brother-in-law, JB Rollans.
Survivors include her brother, Larry Pfeifer, sisters Janet Rollans and Shirley and Lawrence Vaughn all of Dardanelle; and several nephews and nieces.

Noble Lea Whitecotton Rollans passed away March 18, 2010 in Grapevine, Texas. She was born May 6, 1925 at Shoal Creek, AR. She loved to sew, knit, crochet, quilt and made wonderful gifts for many! Everyone called her Nanny because she was everyone's Grandmother and friend. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was born October 15, 1941 to the late Odell and Ludie Mae Hancock Rollans. Although she spent most of her adult life living in Central Arkansas, Shirley always held her friends and the Danville community very close by visiting often and even maintaining a residence there.
Shirley is survived by her family, Vicki Grantham, Juli Grantham, Kamran Grantham and Jon Grantham all of Little Rock; her cousins Mike Peterson and Bill Hancock and lifelong friend Helen Maughn.
