Rodgers, Charles W.

Charles W. Rodgers, age 65, a resident of Little, Rock, AR, formerly of Ola, AR, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at St. Vincent's Infirmary at Little Rock, AR. He was born on September 5, 1932 at Birta, AR to Floyd and Lyda George Rodgers. He married Carolyn Frost on November 23, 1966 at Little Rock, AR. He was a retired Laundry Supervisor with St. Vincent's Infirmary. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Western Hills Neighborhood Association and a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Rodgers, Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Reba Benefield and Greta Sherman both of Ola, AR; a nephew, Mike Flood of Birta, AR and two nieces, Jan Leach of Birta, AR and Carol Ann McKnight of Oppelo, AR.

Rodgers, Dewey

Dewey Rodgers, 84, of Warren, formerly of Plainview, died at his home Wednesday, August 6, 1986. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and a retired employee of Potlatch Corp.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Theo Patterson Rodgers; a son, Dewey Rodgers, Jr. of Vicksburg, MS; a daughter, Mrs. Patty Cameron of Warren; a brother, Clyde Rodgers of Paris; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Rodgers, Gregory Bryce "Buck"

Gregory Bryce "Buck" Rodgers of Pearcy, AR passed away at home on February 1, 2012. He was born on April 29, 1959 in Wichita, KS and raised in Ola, AR. Greg retired after working as a Senior Systems Analyst at Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, TX for 20 years. He moved with his wife and children back to Arkansas in 2009 after living 27 years in Austin, to be closer to their families. He was a devoted husband, loving father and good friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is proceeded in death by his mom, Iris Gale Williams and grandparents Clarice Bly Keys, Thomas Howard Bly, Mary Ann Rodgers and Ted Rodgers.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Anita Walsh Rodgers; his children, Stormee Williams and Adam Watson; his father, Buddy Rodgers, his stepmother, Carol; his stepfather, O.J. Williams; his sisters, Stacey Rodgers and Stephanie Rodgers and many nieces and nephews. A reception will be 2:00 p.m.

Rodgers, Lyda Mae

Mrs. Lyda Mae Rodgers, age 83, of Birta died Tuesday, December 2, 1986 at the Dardanelle Nursing Home. She was the widow of Floyd Rodgers and daughter of the late A. K. and Nancy Sullivan George. She was a member of the Birta Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Charles Rodgers of Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Reba Benefield of Birta and Greta Sherman of Ola; four brothers, Frank George of Dardanelle, Hayden George of Ola, and Rufus and Marlin George, both of Birta; four sisters, Mary Anna Rodgers, Hattie Holbrook and Modean Kimzey, all of Ola, and Berdell Ellison of Birta, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Birta Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Jon Holbrook. Burial will be at Birta Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service of Ola. Mary Ann Rodgers, 103, of Ola, AR, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. The daughter of Aaron and Nancy Elizabeth Sullivan George, she was born November 17, 1907 in Chickalah, AR. Mary was a homemaker and a charter member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Birta. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Ira Edwin Rodgers; son, Edwin Carroll Rodgers; daughter, Jaunell Neuhart. Left to cherish her memory are son Buddy Rodgers & wife Carol Ann of Russellville; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 29 great great grandchildren; 3 great great great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and family members.

Oneidia Rogers, 99, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Booneville, Arkansas. She was born November 26, 1911 in the Moore's Chapel community near Waveland, Arkansas to G.W. and Nannie Pearl (Toney) Capps. She was a mother, housewife and farmer. She was a member of the Cedar Creek Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie "Bud" Martin Rogers; two sons, Orval Gene Rogers, and Kenneth Lee Rogers; four grandchildren, Skeet Rogers, Danny Joe Miller, Susan Gail Orr, and Donnie Ray Pruitt; two sons-in-law, Billy and Jimmy Mills; one daughter-in- law Ann Rogers.

Ruby Lee Rodgers, age 85, of Ola, died Friday, July 22, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born May 20, 1920 in Ozark, AR to the late Arch Waldo, Sr. and the late Sallie Nordin Waldo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Ellis Ketcherside, Armon Wade and Fred Rodgers two daughters, Caralee Ketcherside and Linda Ketcherside, one brother, Arch Waldo, Jr. and one sister, Jackie Robertson.

Survivors are one son, Charles Ketcherside and wife Evelyn of Ola two daughters, Shirley Lynch and husband Charles of Ola and Anna Noe and husband Randy of Plainview 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Jesse Rodriguez, 71, of Russellville, died October 19, 2011. He was born October 15, 1940 in Arizona to Mauricio and Maria Rodriguez.

Jesse Rodriguez, age 71 of Russellville, departed this life Tuesday, October 19 2011, at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock. He was born October 15, 1940 in Arizona to Mauricio and Maria Rodriguez. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed mechanic work, his loving family, and his beautiful grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Mike and Brto Rodriguez: and two sisters, Della Martinez and Helen Suniga.

Roe, Ervin C.

Ervin C. Roe went to heaven with his Savior on Friday, February 17, 2012. He was born in Vici, Oklahoma to Rev. E. P. and Willie Mary Roe. He was a WWII Navy Veteran on the Aircraft Carrier Lunga Point. He later retired from Tinker Field AFB and Mike Bryan Office Supply. Ervin was an active member of First Baptist Church, Bethany and began a Tape Ministry also participating in Meals on Wheels.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers.

Henry F.C. Roetter, aged 90 of Belleville died Monday. He was a retired employee of Allied Van Lines, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a veteran of World War I.

Rogers, Allegene Loetta (Underwood)

Allegene Loetta Rogers, 84, of Duncan, Okla. died on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Wilkins Nursing Center in Duncan.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18th at Duncan Cemetery with her son, Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial is under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home. She was born December 25, 1925 in Duncan, the daughter of L.D. Underwood and Lora (Crenshaw) Underwood. She married Edward Thomas Rogers on February 20, 1960.

He preceded her in death on May 5, 2002. Allegene enjoyed her time in the Rebekah Lodge and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from nursing to raise a family.

Survivors include a son, Eddie Rogers of Duncan, a brother, Grady Underwood of Duncan, three grandchildren: Jim, Rob and Katrina and one great grandchild, Michael. Ann Adams Rogers, age 70, of Malvern, AR passed away at St. Andrews, FL. She was born August 29, 1933 in St. Andrews, FL the daughter of Marvin Daniel and Ada Amelia Cain Adams. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orval Gene Rogers and a son, Skeet Rogers.

She is survived by four sons, Skip and Karen Rogers of Gurdon, AR, Duane & Neva Rogers of Odessa, TX, Mark and Kerry Rogers of Calias, ME and LaDayne Rogers of Hot Springs, AR; one daughter, Tanya and Jim Ivy of Sheridan; four brothers; three sisters; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Arlton Rogers, age 88, of Alma, AR formerly of Yell County, died Thursday, March 1, 2001 at Van Buren. He was born in Havana, AR December 23, 1912, son of the late Alfred and Versia Henson Rogers. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Church of Christ and a WWII Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Windell Rogers.

Survivors include, his wife of 62 years, Catherine Eikleberry Rogers; a daughter and son-in-law, Mabel and Bruce Coleman of Mountainburg, AR; one brother, Osby Rogers of Paris, AR; three grandchildren, Robin Willroth of Mountainburg, Shari Moxley of Lillington, NC and Jennifer Coleman of Mountainburg; four great grandchildren; one nephew and three nieces.

Rogers, Bertha Lorene

Bertha Lorene Rogers age 83 of Danville died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born October 22, 1920 in Centerville to the late Orland and Lou Reece Ringer. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She will be remembered for her hospitality to those who visited with her, her love for her Heavenly father, her family and, her beautiful smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dale Rogers, May 19, 2004. A brother George Ringer, sisters, Lillie Thompson, and Velma Ann Walker.

Survivors are a daughter, Linda Rogers, sister, Edith Gillespie of Danville, stepbrother, Carl Miller of Danville, stepsister, Sybil Walker of Belleville, brother-in-law, Walton Herring of Danville, sister-in-law, Euna Rogers of Hot Springs, several nephews, nieces and friends.

Services were held June 9, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Danville with Rev. Jamie Staley, John McCourt, and President David Torgerson officiating. Rogers, Catherine Alberta (Eikleberry)

Catherine Alberta Eikleberry Rogers died Sunday, October 31 at the Alma Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 13, 1914 in a tent on Huckleberry Mountain east of Paris in Logan County, AR. She was a school teacher and a member of the Church of Christ. She graduated from Dardanelle High School at the age of 16 and then the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville. She taught in one- room schools on Huckleberry Mountain and Chickalah and then at Havana, Belleville and Danville High Schools. She wrote several books and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma. She volunteered with the American Cancer Society and the Yell County Republican Party.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlton Rogers; her parents, J.A. and Mabel Eikleberry; three brothers, Murrell, Ardell and Robert Eikleberry; and one sister, Hannah Faracine Eikleberry.

She is survived by one daughter, Mabel Fay Rogers Coleman and her husband, Bruce of Mountainburg; three grand- daughters, Robin Willroth and her husband. Charlie Rogers, 65, of Waveland died January 24 at the Yell County Hospital in Danville.

Rogers, Dale

Dale Rogers, age 91, peacefully passed away Wednesday May 19, 2004 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. He will be remembered for his faithfulness to the Lord and his family, and for his legacy of laughter and friendliness. He was born in Danville, on September 1, 1913 to the late Thomas John Henry and Mary Lena Frances Hunt Rogers. He was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church and a retired poultry and cattle farmer.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jake Rogers, and two sisters, Elva Rogers and Juanita Herring.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lorene Ringer Rogers, a daughter, Linda Rogers of Danville, brother-in-law, Walton Herring of Danville, sisters-in-law, Edith Gillespie of Danville and Euna Rogers of Hot Springs, and several nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held May 22, 2004 at the Danville First Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Walker, and Reverend Jamie Staley officiating. Burial was in the Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville. David Eugene Rogers, 57, of Malvern died Nov. 18, 1997 at a Little Rock Hospital. He was born July 7, 1940 at Havana Ark. to Eugene and Florence Wilkerson Rogers. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, a member of Bethlehem Lodge, the Masonic Rite, the Scottish Rite, the Eastern Star, Belleville Lodge and the Die Rock Hunting Club.

Eugene "Gene" Rogers, age 89 of Belleville, died Wednesday at St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center in Ft. Smith. He was born in Bluffton on May 6, 1917, to Elwood and Minerva Jane Richie Rogers. He was a member of the Wilson Freewill Baptist Church, a 32 degree Mason, member of the Belleville Christian Lodge 394 and the Danville Masonic Lodge 43, serving the Masons for 55 years. He was a retired pipe liner, farmer, justice of the peace, and election official.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Florence Wilkerson Rogers; a son, David; infant sons, Robert and Danny Rogers; daughter, Doris Bariola; step-son, Ralph Horn; brother, Oliver Rogers; sisters, Grace Foster and Vernie Parker; grandchildren, Courtney Rogers and Emily Hancock.

Man Found Dead In Car Near Here - F. W. Rogers, 58 of Searcy was found in his car near Havana last Thursday. State Trooper Richard Powell, who investigated the death, said that Rogers apparently died of a heart attack while driving west on Highway 10.
