Rector, Millie M. (Hampton) (Mrs.)

Mrs. James Rector of Harkeys Valley died at the home of her son, Leonard Rector of Harkeys Valley Friday December 13, 1929 at the age of 74. Mrs.

Rector, whose death was preceded by that of her husband, J.B. Rector who also died at the home of his son Leonard September 22, 1929. Mrs.

Rector is survived by two daughters of Tennessee, four sons; C.L., Joe, Robert, and Leonard of Harkeys Valley. Mrs. Rector was a woman of sweet disposition and had endeared herself to many who grieve at her passing away. Rector, Norma Lee

Norma Lee Rector, age 79, of Chickalah, AR died Saturday, November 11, 2000 at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was born May 3, 1921 in Norman, OK to the late Herbert O. and Ethel Hulsey Murdock. She was a homemaker and mother and member of the Assembly of God Church in Dardanelle.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Bud Rector; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Brenda Stone of Chickalah, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Hurston Cook of Sherwood; one brother, Leighton Murdock of Broken Arrow, OK; one sister, Patsy Banks-Shew of Dardanelle; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Rector, Pauline W. (Morgan)

Pauline W. Rector, age 95, of Dardanelle died Monday, October 1, 2013 at Yell County Nursing Home. She was born October 27, 1917 at Silex, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Rachel Wiley Morgan. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ for 75 years. She loved to crochet, read and listen to talking books.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Doc rector; two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Jean Morgan of Dardanelle and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services was held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Dardanelle Church of Christ with Bro. Ralph Weinhold officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Rector, Rita

Rita Rector, age 57 of Dardanelle, AR died Saturday, October 6, 2001 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. She was born July 8, 1944 in Smyrna, TN to the late Everett and Julia F. Hill Parker. She was a retired nurse and a homemaker and mother.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Parker and a sister, Judy Parker.

Survivors are her husband, David Rector; two sons, daughter-in-law and fiance, Russell and Maria Rector of Russellville and Charles Rector and Ashley Ivey of Dardanelle, AR and one grandson, Benjamin Rector of Russellville.

Services will be today, Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at 2:00 p. m. at the Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Milton Cowling officiating. Interment will be in Brearley Cemetery. Rector, Virgil (Jake)

Virgil (Jake) Rector, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed peacefully from labor to rest on July 4, 2009 at the age of 89. He was born in Bellville, AR on April 8, 1920 to Robert and Cora Rector of Harkey's Valley, AR.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Hatch) Rector. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage. He will be missed by his two sons and their families, Gary, Meg and Ron and Jayne Rector, and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

They left Arkansas for California in 1941 and returned in 1980 to build their retirement home next to Ozark National Forest. While in Arkansas, he was a volunteer firefighter and helped build schools in his hometown. They loved Arkansas, but missed their family in California, so in 1988, they moved back. Rector, Walter Roy

DARDANELLE - Walter Roy Rector, 83, of Dardanelle died Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was born February 14, 1930, at Harkey's Valley to the late Melvin (Doc) Rector and Sybil Robinson Nail. He was a cabinet maker, a U.S. Navy veteran and a lifetime member of the Roger Rye VFW Post #2283.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Geraldine A. Cavanaugh Rector; one daughter, Sandra Judkins; and a brother, Opal Rector.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Rector of Conway and Richard Rector and wife, Sunni, of Fort Smith; two daughters, Brenda Borden and husband, Shelly, of Vilonia and Cindy Mullen and husband, Marty, of Rogers; a son-in-law, Ricky Judkins of Bonanza; one sister, Madge Carothers of Centerville; one brother, Donnie Rector and wife, Cindy, of Dover; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle with Bro. Jim Findley officiating. Reddell, Elsie Mae

Elsie Mae Reddell, age 85, a resident of Russellville, AR died Monday, June 26, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville. She was born May 20, 1915 at Mt. Judea, AR to Tom and Ella Guthrie Hefley. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Mitchel Reddell. She was a member of the Oakland Heights Assembly of God Church. She was also preceded in death by, her parents, 10 brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.

Survivors include five sons, Clinton Reddell, Dover, AR, Clayton Reddell, Russellville, AR, Wilburn Reddell, Monett, MO, David Reddell, Russellville, AR and James Reddell, Dallas, TX; two daughters, Julene Via, Dardanelle, AR and Mary Sue Allen, Charleston, AR; three stepsons, Argie and Silvie Reddell both of Russellville and Junior Reddell of Dover, AR; 24 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Allie "Faye" Reddin, age 95, of Danville went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Chambers Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Faye was born April 27, 1921 in Danville to William Harve & Martha Emma Haney Madden. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a member of the Danville First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Reddin; son, Ronnie Reddin; son-in-law, Elton Hopkins and her siblings Felix, Linnis, Everett, Lamar, Lawanna, Lorene and Icel.

Survivors include her sons & daughter-in-law, Brad & Teshia Reddin of Danville; Shon Reddin of Rover; daughters & son-in-law, Sharon & Gary Looney of Danville; Teresa Hopkins of Danville; daughter-in-law, Ramona Reddin of Belleville; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren.

Reverend Ronald Randolph Reddin, age 68, of Belleville passed away Friday, January 29, 2016, at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born September 22, 1947, in Danville, Arkansas to Rufus Randolph & Allie Faye Madden Reddin. He was a retired Assembly of God Minister.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Elton Hopkins.

Rufus Randolph Reddin, age 70, of Danville, died Sunday, November 22 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. Mr. Reddin was a native of Banks, AR. The Son of the late Rev. A. D. Reddin and Bessie Briley Reddin. He is a retired from Arkansas Power and Light Co. having worked for AP&L for 35 years. Reddin was a member of the Danville Assembly of God Church and had served on the Beard of Deacons of that Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Faye Madden Reddin; three sons, Rev Ron Reddin of Sherwood Bradley T. Reddin & Shon A. Reddin both of Danville; 7 brothers, Martin Looney and Mrs. Teresa Hopkins both of Danville; seven brothers, Martin Reddin of Banks, Harold Reddin of Texas, Harvey Reddin of Camden, Douglas Reddin of Louisiana, Lyrad Reddin of London, England, Briley R. Reddin of Camden, James R. Redfern, Jack E.

Jack E. Redfern, age 59, of Little Rock, AR died Monday, December 18, 2000 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born July 11, 1941 in Norfolk, VA to the late Edward D. and Mary Francis Redfern. He was the Staff Manager of Regulatory Affairs for Alltel Communications in Little Rock, AR. He served as Alderman for the City of Danville from 1971 to 1973 and as Mayor from 1972 to 1974. He was a past president of the Danville Lions Club, the Danville Jaycees and the past treasurer of the Danville United Methodist Church. He was a member and past president of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Telecommunication Association (ATA). He was a current member of the Executive Committee and a Chairman of the ATA Legislative Committee. He was appointed by Governor Huckabee to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Service Board of Directors where he served as Vice-president. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anna Virginia Redfern and a niece, Mary Elizabeth May nor.

He is survived by, his wife, Barbara Sivley Redfern; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lauren Redfern of Danville, AR; Wayne and Angela Redfern of Austin, TX, Jack E. Redfern, Jr. of Danville, AR and Leslie Redfern of Brownwood, TX; two stepsons and daughter-in-law, Philip and Christie Alexander of Danville, AR and Tony Alexander of Russellville, AR; one sister and brother-in-law, Martha Ann and Bill Gentry of El Dorado, AR; eight grandchildren, Jenny, Clay, Spencer and Nicholas Redfern all of Danville, AR; Cody and Christa Redfern of Austin, TX, Danielle Badillo and Anna Redfern of Brownwood, TX; a niece, a great-nephew and niece.

Redwine, James Leroy

James Leroy Redwine- After a lingering illness, James Leroy Redwine passed away at his home in St. Joseph, La. on February 2, 1954. Mr. Redwine was born in Pope County, Arkansas, March 22, 1888; he married Miss Ila Mae Reeves on September 24, 1910. They lived in Yell County, Arkansas until 1929, at which time they moved to Louisiana, and settled in Tensas Parish. Ila Mae Reece, 84, of Hot Springs, AR died Thursday, November 13, 1997 in a local hospital. She was born May 28, 1913, she was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church, Hot Springs Baptist Super Senior and Shirley Jackson Circle She attend Arkansas Tech University, helped start and taught at Second Baptist School and taught at Valley Elementary School in Royal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Reece.

Survivors include a daughter, Janie Russell of Hot Springs; three sisters, Esther Hunnicutt of Hot Springs, Atria Dell Hedden of Russellville and Johnnye Sciffers of Marion; a grandson, Andrew Paxton Russell of Hot Springs; nieces and nephews.

O'Neil Reece, age 67, of Route 1, Danville, died Sunday, March 24, 1985, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired employee of the Arkansas Highway Department.

Mr. Darrell Lee Reed, age 86 of Bluffton, AR died Tuesday, May 17, 1994. He was a native of Montgomery County, son of the late Ship Monroe and Alpha Qualls Reed. He was a retired farmer and member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loise and one infant son.

Ethel J. Reed, the former Ethel J. Laster, age 79, died October 25, 1986 at her home in Brea, CA. She was born near Belleville in Riley Creek Community November 17, 1906.

Irma Grace Reed, age 87, formerly of Danville went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Star City, Arkansas. She was born July 24, 1929, to James C. (Jim) and Norma J. (Green) Hall at Gilkey (Yell County). She was retired from Arkansas Power & Light (En- tergy) and worked at the Danville office for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both her husbands: Norman Morris and Elmore (Bud) Reed; 3 brothers: Irby Ray Hall, Royce Carroll Hall, and Roy Dale Hall, and one sister: Doris O'Rear.

She is survived by two daughters: Lyn & Jim Pelt and Karen & Wayne Groce, as well as one step-daughter Cathy & Arthur Riley: grandchildren are Chris Pelt, Penny Owens, Beth Groce, & Donna Selman; step- grandchild Chad Riley. Great- grandchildren are Jacob, Katie, Jack, Jayde, R.J. and Matthew.

Rev. Jesse S. Reed, age 88, of Little Rock, AR died Thursday, January 8, 2004. He was a native of Aly, Yell County, AR, where he was one of eleven children born to J. M. and Hattie Reed. He graduated from Dumas High School and Ouachita Baptist College and received his theological education in 1945 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. He has pastored at First Baptist Church, Wylie, TX; Perla, Cedar Glades, Buckville, Story, Harvey's Chapel near Hot Springs, Park Place, Hot Springs and Second Church, El Dorado, all in Arkansas. In 1954 he became the state evangelist for the Ark. Baptist State Convention. During his seven years as State evangelist, he worked largely with smaller, more rural churches. He preached approximately 2, 600 times and welcome 1, 565 persons who publicly accepted Christ as their Savior. He was an "outdoor" person and his interests included hunting, fishing, bee-keeping and gardening. In 1983 he wrote and published First Fruits, a book dedicated to spreading the word of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Imogene Lacy Reed; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Janet Reed of Memphis, TN and David and Susan Reed of Bennettsville, SC; two brothers, Carl Reed of Dumas, AR and Bill Reed of McGehee, AR; a sister, Lena Wehunt of Perry, GA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Reverend Jesse S. Reed, age 88, of Little Rock died Thursday, January 8, 2004. A native of Aly, Yell County, Ark. where he was one of 11 children born to J. M. and Hattie Reed. Jesse was an outdoor person, and his interests included hunting (with his lifelong friends, grandsons, and squirrel dogs) fishing, bee-keeping and gardening -which allowed him to supply family and friends with an abundant supply of fresh fruits and vegetables. In 1983, he wrote and published First Fruits, a book dedicated to spreading the word of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Lillian May Reed, age 79, of Plainview, AR, formerly of Bluffton, AR, died Sunday, November 4, 2001 at the Brookridge Life Center in Morrilton, AR. She was the daughter of the late Monroe H. and Hester Worley Wood. She was a receptionist for the California Baptist Convention in the 1950's. She has been an active member of the Baptist churches everywhere she has lived.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Rubin Reed; children, Bunny Reed Woods of Monteagle, TN, Jim Reed, Perryville, AR and Mike Reed, Bluffton, AR; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, C. T. Wood, Fresno, CA; four sisters, Lorene Clayton, Dumas, AR, Inez Storment and Berline Patton both of Bluffton, AR and Christean Hunnicutt or Russellville, AR; two beloved daughters-in-law, Judy Reed and Becky Reed and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted, today, Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Plainview First Baptist Church with Rev. David Rumsey officiating assisted by Gary Woods, son-in-law. Mr. Roy Wayne (Red) Reed, age 87, of McCrory, AR died January 19, 1998 at the Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy. He was a retired show inspector for the Addison Shoe Company in Wynne and was a Baptist. He resided in Northwest Arkansas for a number of years before moving to Wynne in 1952. He has resided in the Pumpkin Bend Community near McCrory for the past 25 years.
