Bobby Neal Melton, age 69, of Danville died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home. He was born August 3, 1942 at Briggsville to Arley and Jewel Spears Melton. He was a member of the Nola Church of Christ. He loved to BBQ, hunt, fish and most of all he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Melton.
Survivors include his daughter, Stacey Melton of Danville; two sisters, Nina Lofland of New Blaine, Barbara Lambert of New Blaine; one grandchild, Racheal Lewis of Danville; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services was January 17, 2012 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville with Rev. Lacy Minnie officiating. Edd Melton, age 77, of Briggsville, AR widow of Evelyn Spainhour Melton, died Saturday, July 3, 1999 at Briggsville, AR. He was born September 19, 1912 in Briggsville, AR to the late Clinton and Melvina Keys Melton. He was a farmer, logger and a WWII Army Veteran.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Donna Melton of Rover, AR; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Billy Hill of Briggsville, AR; a sister, Essie Sexton of Bearden, AR; eight grandchildren, Kenneth, Kelly and Trisha Hill all of Briggsville, Allison and Daniel Melton both of Rover, AR, Mandy Beavers and Andy Melton both of Danville, AR and Joelle Melton of Russellville, AR; three great-grandsons, Billy Wayne Hill of Briggsville, AR and Clay and Tyler Beavers both of Danville, AR.

Evelyn Spainhour Melton, age 62, of Briggsville, died early Friday morning, June 26th, 1987 at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. Mrs. Melton was a native of Briggsville. She was the daughter of the late W. E. and Nancy Keys Spainhour. She was a housewife and a mother.
Survivors are her husband, Edd Melton of the home; one son, Billy J. Melton, Rover; one daughter, Linda Hill of Briggsville; a brother, Wesley Spainhour of Texas; a half brother, Huey Spainhour of Briggsville and a half sister, Mrs. Belle Kirksey of Oregon, and five grandchildren.

Danville - H. W. Melton, 83, retired banker, merchant and farmer, died in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Odell Moudy, here today. Mr. Melton was a lifelong resident of Yell county and for many years prior to his retirement was active in civic and business affairs in this section. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.

Jewel Spears Melton, 91, of Briggsville, AR died Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was born January 1, 1915, at Wing, Arkansas to David and Polly Ann Green Spears. She was a homemaker and a member of the Briggsville United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arley Melton; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Neal and Shirley Melton of Briggsville; two daughters, Nina Dell Lofland of Briggsville and Barbarette Lambert of New Blaine; six grandchildren, Billy Lofland Jr. Becky Ramey, Brian Lambert, William Lambert, Stacey Lewis, and Cheryl D. Dollard; and nine great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Monday, August 14, 2006, at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Briggsville with the Rev. Lacy Minnie officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a son, Shad Melton of Houston, TX; sisters, Clema Sue Aist of Conway and Kay Duggan of DeQueen; very special friend, Susie Copenhaver of Sand Springs, OK; two nephews, three nieces and numerous great-nieces and nephews and many many dear and special friends.
