Clois "Bud" McKay, age 70, of Dardanelle, AR died Friday, March 8, 2007 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born July 9, 1936 in Romance, AR to the late Frank and Irkle Webb McKay, he was a member of the Pentecostal Church and retired from ConAgra after 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann McKay; daughter, Mary Jane Augstin of Dardanelle, AR; brother, Marion McKay of DeSoto, KS; sister, Margie Wiggington of Lexington, TN and grandson William Dale McKay of Dardanelle, AR.

Donald Ross McKay, age 89, of Russellville, AR died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born March 9, 1912 in Red Mud, NM, he was the son of the late Samuel Wright and Julia Ola Smith McKay. He was a retired real estate salesman, a Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the Ontario, CA Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Cyril, Jess, Max and John McKay. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Hicks McKay, Russellville, AR; a step-daughter, Linda Chisman, Russellville, AR; a nephew, Jim McKay, Ontario, CA; three step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren.

Wilburn Andrew McKeever, age 86 of Danville, AR die, d Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born in Plainview, AR, August 12, 1913, son of the late Robert Andrew and Sally Omega McKeever. He was a retired barber having owned and operated Wilburn's Barber Shop in Mountainburg, AR for many years.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Hylon "Bud McKeever and five sisters, Macel Willard, Chloe Vanzant, Bonnie Masters, Bernice Green and Nora Lee McQuire.
Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Partin of Prescott Valley, AZ and a brother, R. A. McKeever of Flagler, CO and several nieces and nephews.

John Lawrence McKelvy, age 76, died of lung cancer Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Hospice Veterans Center in Dayton, OH. John, Yell County farmer and racehorse owner, was born April 28, 1927, in Abilene, TX to the late Glen R. and Dott (Lofland) McKelvy. His paternal grandparents were the late Lawrence C. and Fanny (Byars) McKelvy of Albany, TX. Maternal grandparents are John W. and Sara Frances (Tate) Lofland of Bluffton. John W. Lofland was a farmer of the Yell County area until about 1905.
Surviving John are sisters Sara Frances (McKelvy) Emory of Raleigh, NC and Anne Lofland (McKelvy) Ziegler of Dayton, OH. And brother Glen R. McKelvy, Jr. of Abilene, TX. Also many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
John served in the Coast Guard and in the Merchant Marines during World War II on Liberty ships and oil tankers in all war zones. He served in the Army during the Korean War. After retirement about 1959, both John and his parents returned to Yell County to farm and resume relationships with relatives and friends in the area. John was a member of the Plainview post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and numerous associations having to do with raising cattle and thoroughbred racing. He left behind beloved friends from Fowlers restaurant and other wonderful friends who did many kindnesses for him in Arkansas.
Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Abilene, TX. The folks at Ft. Root hospice were like family to John. If desired, memorials may be sent to Arkansas Hospice, 2200 Ft. Mr. Barney Castle McKenzie, age 83, of Dardanelle, died at a Fort Worth, Texas hospital Thursday, December 7, 1967. Mr. McKenzie was a retired building contractor. He was a native of the Pisgah Community, near Centerville, a son of the late Monroe and Bessie Berry McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Leonard McKenzie, age 59, of Dardanelle, died Thursday November 8, 2001, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born August 25, 1942, in North Little Rock, AR. He was a heating and air conditioning serviceman, a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of DAV Post 7 in Little Rock, a member of the River Valley Squares and Boomerang's Square Dance Club, and a member of the Centerville First Baptist Church, where he was the Young Adult Sunday School teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewitt Talmadge and Annie Bell Harding McKenzie; and two brothers, Phillip and John Atkins.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Shinn McKenzie; two daughters, Candice Ann Pierce of Denver, Colorado and Carrie Laverne McKenzie of Michigan; a brother and two sisters-in-law, L. V. and Francis Atkins of Los Angeles, California and Tilly Atkins of Ohio; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Floye Ann Nall of North Little Rock and Sarah Marie and Billy Myers of Sun City, Arizona; and three grandchildren.

Malinda Lee McKenzie, age 51, of Little Rock, AR died Saturday, April 25, 1998 at her home in Little Rock. Miss McKenzie was born November 20, 1946 in Russellville, AR. She graduated from Dardanelle High School, received her bachelor of arts degrees from Arkansas Tech University and a master of arts degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and was a Certified Legal Assistant working for the Friday, Eldridge and Clark Law Firm in Little Rock.
She is survived by her parents, Robert M. "Bob" and Violet Ruth Countz McKenzie of Dardanelle; a brother, Lynn McKenzie of Dardanelle; a niece Allison McKenzie of Cambridge, Maine and many good friends.

He was a WWII Navy Veteran, member of Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141 in Dardanelle, Dardanelle First Presbyterian Church and was a building contractor.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Malinda McKenzie and a sister, Lorena Norton.

Violet Ruth McKenzie, age 86, of Dardanelle, AR died Friday, November 17, 2000 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born February 20, 1914 to the late Everette "Bully" Countz and Ora Garrison Countz, she was a member of the Dardanelle First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. "Bob" McKenzie and her daughter, Malinda McKenzie.
Survivors are her son, Robert Lynn McKenzie of Dardanelle, AR and her granddaughter, Allison McKenzie of New York, New York.

Mrs. Virda Lee McKenzie, 78, wife of B.C. McKenzie, died Wednesday, December 23, at her home in Dardanelle. Mrs. McKenzie was a native of Centerville, a daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Sloan George. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors also include two sons, Robert McKenzie of Dardanelle and Berry C. "Jiggs" McKenzie of Little Rock; three daughters, Mrs. W.T. Norton of Texarkana, Tex., Mrs. James Barganier of Lott, Tex. and Miss Polly McKenzie of Fort Worth, Tex.; three sisters, Miss Nettie Cain of Holdenville, Okla., Mrs. Ethel Bishop of Port Arthur, Tex., and Mrs. Nona Edison of Phoenix, Ariz.; four half-brothers, Jack George, Bill George and Milton George, all of Ola, Jim George of Stockton, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

She is survived by, son, Jerry B. McKinney, Sr. of Cabot, AR; one daughter, Betty Anderson of Romance, AR; one brother, Johnny Butts of Arizona; three half-sisters, Virgie, Imogene and Georgie of North Carolina; one half-brother, Dessie Butts of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Charles Connor McKinnon, age 87 of Wing, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mt. Home, Arkansas. He was born in Higginson, Arkansas on March 27, 1917. He was the son of the late Louis Albert and Toy Young McKinnon. He was the retired owner of McKinnon Painting Contractors. He served in the Army during WWII in Africa Italy. He was a 32nd Mason, a member of the Scottish Rites, and the VFW.
He was preceded in death by a son, Don Louis McKinnon, and a brother Horace McKinnon.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marvalene Wheeler McKinnon, a son, Jon Charles McKinnon of Wine, daughters, Laura June McKinnon of Fayetteville, and Dr. Leah Jane McKinnon of Mt. Don Louis McKinnon, age 51, of Wing, AR die Thursday, July 26, 2001 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, TX. He was born January 5, 1950 in Little Rock, AR. He has a BA degree from Arkansas Tech University and two master degrees from the University of Arkansas, one in counseling and one in public administration. He was the City Manager of Atkins for five years. He was a Mason and a member of the VFW. He was a Vietnam Era Army Veteran. He was employed by Wayne Poultry in Danville in the sanitation department.

Bro. Jack W. McKinnon, age 87, of Russellville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Alkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A son of the late Lewis Albert and Toy Jessie Young McKinnon, he was born July 7, 1923 in Higginson, Arkansas. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He taught school for eight years while pastoring the Rover Baptist Church and Fair Park Baptist Church, and also pastored Bakers Creek Baptist Church, Kelly Heights Baptist Church, the Scranlon Baptist Church and spent eight years at the Pottsville Baptist Church. Prior to his time in Arkansas he was the pastor of the Tijers Baptist Church in Tijers, New Mexico and the Alameda Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Connor McKinnon and Horace Lee McKinnon.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 53 years, Mary McKinnon; a son, James Daniel McKinnon of Quitman; two daughters and sons-in-law; Regina Marie and Johnny Henderson of Russellville; and Della Leona and Jerry Little of Pottsville; a brother and sister-in-law, James A. and Marie McKinnon of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren; Josh McKinnon and his wife, Amanda; Matthew McKinnon and his fiance, Cynthia Ray; Danielle Bagley and her husband Matthew; and Tobby Little and McKinzie Little; four great-grandchildren; Austin, Shane, Caleb and Allie; and several nephews and nieces.

Joe B. McKinnon of the Shark Community was born March 3, 1877 and passed away June 5, 1952 at his home. Mr. McKinnon grew up in the Shark Community and attended schools near there. He was married to Miss Bessie Black on December 1, 1902. He was associated with Houston Powers in the merchantile business in the Moss Creek Community for several years, and was later associated with Dr. Grace and Henry Melton in business at Belleville. In the early twenties he returned to carpentering and contracting. Since 1933 he has lived mostly in his native Dutch Creek Valley. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Marvalene McKinnon, age 85, of Wing, AR passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at her home. She was born June 7, 1927 in Wing, AR to the late Flossie Wheeler. She was born, raised, lived and died in Wing, Arkansas. Marvalene loved Fourche Valley School where she was the first female board member and later President of the board for 10 years as well as President of the PTA. She rarely missed a basketball game at home or away and was loved by all the Fourche Valley students and the community. Marvalene loved her cats, antiques and making a garden. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star with Gravelly Chapter #580.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Conner McKinnon; a son, Don Louis McKinnon; best friend and cousin, Lucy Jane Wood.
