Mrs. Myrtis Light Ashley, age 89, of Danville, AR died Thursday, March 30, 1995 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was born in Plainview, AR, August 27, 1905, daughter of the late Young Keller and Frances Fisher Light. She was a retired business woman, and the widow of Bob Ashley.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Beth Herring of Danville and Jo Ann Wood of Springdale, AR; three grandchildren, Robert Miles Buford of Missouri, Jason Buford of Ola and Natasha Wood of Clarksville and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were April 1 at the Cornwell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Newton officiating. Burial was in the Earl Ladd Cemetery. Wyvonne Vonita Ashley, 81, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away February 22, 2009. Wyvonne enjoyed cooking and collecting antiques. She loved fancy cars, diamonds and gold. Wyvonne also loved classical music.
She is survived by 2 sons, David Ashley and James Ashley; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Wyvetta Ortega; aunt, Nina Holland.
Wyvonne is preceded in death by husband, Lester Ashley; 1 brother, Benny Forga and 1 sister, Bobbye Kirk.

Mrs. Betty Gene Ashlin, age 66, of Danville, AR died Monday, October 31, 1994 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born in Fort Smith, AR, October 1, 1928, daughter of the late Charlie Olen Thomas and Mrs. Bertha Melton Thomas of Danville. She was a graduate of Danville High School, and Petit Jean Vo-Tech. She was a licensed practical nurse and retired after 32 years from Yell County Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church and the widow of Floyd Ashlin.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Bertha Thomas of Danville; two daughters and son-in-law, Sandra James of Angleton, TX and Phylis and Scott McLaclan of Clarksville, AR; a brother, Orlan Ray Thomas of Danville; a sister, Ila Mae Richbourg of Camden, SC; five grandchildren, Lacy and Andy Rolen of Danville; Justin James of Clute, TX, Jeffrey James of Angel-ton, TX and Mary McLaclan of Clarksville and a great-grandson Drew Rolen of Danville.

William Kenneth Ashlin (Grandpa) died February 18, 2004 at work. He was born July 2, 1925 in Magazine, AR to parents James W. and Amanda Ashlin. He has been a resident of Redwater since 1962. He was a former employee of McConnell Heavy Haulers, and retired from Commercial Storage, and Red River Army Depot. He was a member and former elder of the Redwater Church of Christ. He was also a former member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was a decorated veteran of World War II where he received three purple hearts for wounds received in battle, and two Bronze Stars for going beyond the call of duty, and the Combat Infantry Badge. His family and friends remember him as a loving and personable man who would do whatever he could and more for everyone.
He is preceded in death by three children, Judith Nell Ashlin, Timothy Allen Ashlin, Rebecca Spence, and his beloved wife, Dorothy Spain Ashlin.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry and Maggie Ashlin of Redwater, TX, Bobby and Michele Ashlin of Jacksonville, AR, Randy Ashlin of Beaumont, TX; one son-in-law, Patrick Spence; his special friend, Melba Palmertree; five sisters, Berta Barnett of Russ, TX, Marie Cross and Maxine Spain of Jacksonville, AR, Bonnie Culwell of Kansas City, MO and Mary Larkin of Cabot, AR. He was grandpa to five granddaughters and six grandsons who knew no matter what, grandpa was there.

Surrounded by her family, Sharon Kay Beebe Ashlock passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 17, 1951 and died at age 60 on March 29, 2012.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Ashlock, Dardanelle, AR; they were to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on April 30; daughters, Heidi (Aaron) Davis, Maysville, NC; Ivy Ashlock, Dardanelle, AR; Lacey (Jose) Garcia, Dardanelle, AR; mother, Nona Janks, Elkton, MD; brothers and sisters; Robert (Ramona) Beebe, Elkton, MD; Michael Beebe, Coolville, OH; Patrick (Jayne) Beebe, Fleming, OH; Brenda Beebe (Doug) Duncan of Williamsburg, VA; and Christina (Jeff) Masters, Little Hocking, OH. Sharon dearly loved her 10 grandchildren; Kay and Floyd (Bubba) Bryant, Sierra, Deja and Kamryn Davis, Brandon Bruhn, Jayden and Carli Vazquez, Haylee Ashlock, and Angel Garcia Jr.
She was preceded in death by her father Dana Beebe, brother Jim Beebe, sister Bonnie Beebe, step father, Albin Janks, niece, Anna Laura Masters and son-in-law, Sergio Vazquez-Hurtado. Sharon was born in Marietta, Ohio and was a 1970 graduate from Warren High School. She graduated from Harford Community College in Maryland from the Dental Assistance Program and worked at the US Naval Training Center at Bainbridge, MD. She also worked as a manager at Gabriel's in Parkersburg, WV before moving to Arkansas. Sharon enjoyed family, quilting, canning, gardening and camping (especially at Buffalo River). A family service and celebration of her was held April 4, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Don Irwin officiating. Mrs. Bernice Ashmore, age 74, Tulsa, Okla. formerly of Dardanelle and Mt. Nebo, died at her home December 14. She was a native of Yell County and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Davis, Tulsa; one granddaughter, Mrs. Pamela Ritchie, Tulsa; two brothers, Pat Caviness, Little Rock, and Troy Caviness, Loving, N. M. Mrs. Fred C. Burnett, Dardanelle, is among surviving cousins in Yell County.

Margaret Paulette Napier Ashmore, age 65 of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at her home. She was born April 16, 1942 at Russellville to the late Elmer and Aline Mars Napier. She worked at Tyson Foods Tyler Road Plant in Russellville for 20 years and was a member of the Damascus Assembly of God Church in Russellville.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Delena Fields.

Mrs. Mary Pearl Ramer Atkinson, age 86, of Dardanelle, died Monday, April 28, 1986. Mrs. Atkinson was a housewife and a member of the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, H. N. Atkinson of Dardanelle, two daughters, Morene Pfeifer of Dardanelle and Maxine Gilliland of Osceola. One brother, Earl Ramer of California, one sister, Myrtle McGuire of Morrilton, and one grandchild.
Services were Wednesday, April 30, 1986 at the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bonda Moyer officiating. Interment will be in Brearley Cemetery at Dardanelle. DARDANELLE - Mrs. Myrtle Juanita Atkinson, age 88, of Dardanelle died Sunday, December 14, 1986. She was a former resident of Newport.
Survivors include her husband, James Atkinson; a son, James Atkinson of Newport; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lock of Dardanelle and Mrs. Marie Soles of Rogers; a brother, W. A. Kunkin of Charleston; eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Reba Atkison, age 70, passed away at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK on August 23, 2001. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Beulah Jackson Atkison of Blanchard, LA. She was the granddaughter of the late H. D. and Nannie Jackson of Waveland and Havana and had lived in Tulsa since the death of her parents. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Tulsa, OK.
Survivors include her brother, R. C. Atkison and nieces, Reva and Ruby Ann.

Ruby L. George Atwood, age 85, of Modesto, CA died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at oak Valley Care Center, Oakdale, CA. She was a native of Dardanelle, AR and lived in Modesto 60 years. She was born in Arkansas on March 19, 1918 to the late Lilburn Green and Cora Ella George. She worked at Gene Thomas Trailer Sales for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Charlene Teeple and three brothers, Homer L., James L. and Herman J. George.
She is survived by her children, Bobby Atwood of Riverbank, CA, Lloyd Atwood of Banning, CA, Sandra Atwood of Modesto, CA and Shirley Cravey of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Lloyd George of Chinese Camp, CA and David George of Modesto, CA; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

E. L. (Mike) Audirsch Jr., age 59, of Mariagpa, formerly of Danville, died Wednesday, December 25, 1996 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock. He was the Agency Manager for Lee County Farm Bureau, having previously been the Agency Manager in Yell and Miller counties. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gideons International and National Life Underwriters Associations.
He is survived by his wife Pat Audirsch and his mother Mrs. Nellie Audirsch both of Marianna; one daughter Heather Audirsch Hay wood of Hot Springs; one son Dr. Lance Audirsch of Helena; and two grandchildren.

Merritt & Son Wholesale, retired Greyhound Bus Lines baggage handler, U.S. Marine Corps World War II veteran and member of Cowboy Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ault; one son, Clarence Eddie Ault; two sisters, Anita Ward and Winnie Ault; and one brother, William Ault.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry Ault of Pine Bluff and Donnie and Robin Nix Ault of Madison, Wis.; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Harold and Deloris Ault of Rowlett, Texas, and Jessie Byrd of Spiro, Okla.; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Joan and Ray Blanco of San Francisco and J.D. She married Zeulen C. Ault on January 9, 1949, at Lonsdale, AR. She was a very loving, caring and giving wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the Smith Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by, her father, Buford Nichols and a grandson, Wilburn Smith.

Bobby Joe Austin (Corncob), age 71, of Story, AR, passed away April 4, 2017, at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, AR. He was born October 27, 1945, to Charles Henry Austin and Voyza Lee Smith in Danville, AR.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beverly Austin, son, Ervin Dwayne Austin, brother, Bill Tom Austin, and 2 infant brothers.
He is survived by his son, Donald Austin (Melissa), daughter Karen Morrison (Wendell), grandchildren, Jeremy Austin (Jessi), Elizabeth Austin, Samantha Smith (Roger), Mariah Morrison, Devan Austin, and Mikala Austin, great-grandchildren, Aspynn Austin, Laytyn Austin, Cayden Smith, Canyon Smith, Cailynn Smith and Cayce Smith, one sister, Maxine Standerfer and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, mowing his lawn even when there wasn't anything but dirt to mow, driving the roads of Story and gossiping at the Blue Bell. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

Miss Gayla Austin, 57, daughter of the late Arthur and Amanda Austin, former resident of Briggsville, died in Pasadena, Calif. On December 8, where she had lived for the past 20 years. After graduating from Ola High School in 1924, she attended Arkansas Tech, Arkansas State College, and East Central State Teacher's College at Ada, Okla. Before leaving Arkansas, she taught in a number of schools in Yell County. She was a Methodist.
