Ward, Robert Fulton

Robert Fulton Ward, 82, a retired farmer, died June 5 in the Booneville Hospital. He was born in Oklahoma and spent most of his life in the Bluffton community. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Viola Ward; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Fowler of Hot Springs and several nieces and nephews.

Ward, Robert Leslie

Funeral for Robert Leslie Ward, age 25, of Danville, who died Wednesday, May 21, 1986 of injuries suffered in an automobile accident, will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. John McElroy.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Jimmie Hames Ward of Danville; a sister, Lora Couch of Danville; his grandfather, Earl Ward of Little Rock; his grandmother, Mrs. Vina Hames of Danville, and a nephew, Jarrod Couch of Danville.

Ward, Sarah Elizabeth

Sarah Elizabeth Ward, 15 months old, of Barling, AR died Tuesday, November 4, 1997 in a local hospital.

She is survived by her parents, Teri and Tim Ward of Barling; her maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Robert Ernst of Belleville; her great-grandmother, Mary Long of Havana; one sister, Catherine Ward of Barling and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral was held at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the Havana Cemetery in Havana, AR. Pallbearers were Tom Ernest, Mike Ernst, Rodney Ward and Joe Apple. Mrs. Susan Ward, age 76 died June 6, 1953, at the Old Confederate Home at Little Rock.

Ward, Ted

Ted Ward, age 87, of Danville passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. He was a Master Plumber, owning and operating Wards Plumbing and Heating in Havana and Danville Auto Parts. Before retiring, he worked for the City of Danville as assistant water commissioner and plumbing inspector. In his retirement enjoyed working with wood and metal in his shop behind his house in Danville. He was a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge where he served as Elder and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was born September 6, 1921 in the Walnut Grove community near Havana to Joe and Lizzie Oliver Ward.

Ward, Ted Jasper

Ted Jasper Ward, age 87, of Danville, AR, departed from this life December 16, 2008. He was born September 6, 1921 in Havana, AR, to the late Joe and Lizzie Oliver Ward of the Walnut Grove Community near Havana. He was a member of the Associated Reform Presbyterian Church of Havana and the Danville Masonic Lodge where he served as an Elder and 32nd Degree Mason, respectively. He worked the early part of his life as a farmer in Western Yell County. He later became a Master Plumber and owned and operated Wards Plumbing and Heating business in Havana and Danville Auto Parts in Danville. Before retiring, he worked for the City of Danville as assistant water commissioner and plumbing inspector. In his retirement he enjoyed working with wood and metal in his shop behind his home. He was a devoted family man and a friend to many.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Vester Ward.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Inez Ward; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Hoyt Ensey of Dover, AR and Sue and Charles Spivey of Morrilton, AR; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sara Ward of Fayetteville, AR; four grandsons, Charles Ensey of Danville, Phillip Spivey of Conway, Aaron Spivey of Morrilton and Vince Ward of Fayetteville; one granddaughter, Connie Myers of Dover; two great grandsons, Austin Myers and Mitchell Spivey and three great granddaughters, Rachael Myers, Lizzie Spivey and Clara Spivey; two sisters, Retha Inman of Spokane, WA and Katherine Bartholow of Danville; one brother, Charlie Ward of Magazine, AR and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Danville was, December 19, with John McCourt officiating. Burial at Moores Chapel Cemetery near Waveland. Ward, Tennie (Duke)

Mrs. Sid Ward, born December 30, 1804 [1892], died at her home one mile east of Waltreak, January 14 after a brief illness of influenza and a poison spider bite the previous Wednesday. Mrs. Ward was an orphan, having been reared from infancy by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Duke, Waltreak. She professed the faith in the Christian religion at an early age and joined the Methodist church. At twenty years she was married to Sid Ward and proved a consecrated wife, mother, and homemaker until her death. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, eight children, besides a number of other relatives and friends.

Ward, Willie L.

Willie L. Ward passed away Monday, July 26, 2004 at England Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 13, 1919 to Ike and Ethel Adair in Havana, AR She was a long time resident of the England area moving here from Havana in 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vester Fred Ward and one brother Orbie Adair.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws, Adrian and Betty Ward of England, Harold "Bud " and Linda Ward and Freddy Ward of NLR; daughters and son-in-law, Mary Powell of England and Geauchita and Bobby Cathcart of Pine Bluff; one sister and brother-in-law, Lattie and David Inman of Havana, AR; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

PLAINVIEW - Eugene Ware, age 71, of Plainview died Monday, July 14, 1986 at his home. A native of Kansas, he was a retired farmer.

Eugene Paul Ware, age 71, of Plainview, died Monday Morning, July 14, 1986 at his home. Mr. Ware was a native of Kansas and a retired farmer.

Ware, Myrtle Lea Chesney Leach

Myrtle Lea Chesney Leach Ware, age 89, a resident of Danville, AR, formerly of Plainview, AR died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville, AR. She was born on December 7, 1910 at Plainview, AR to Daniel and Eldora Jones Chesney. She was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Plainview First Baptist Church. She married Odell Leach in September 1931 and he preceded her in death in November 1981. She later married and was widowed by Eugene Ware and preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lynn Carol Reams of California.

She is survived by, four daughters and a son-in-law, Ina Louise DeMartino of Long, Beach, CA, Melba Joyce and Ted Creekmore of Glenpool, OK, Betty Sue Turner of Denver, CO and Freda Lea Stoneburner of North Little Rock, AR; one sister, Eunice Doty of Lebanon, IL; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were March 10, 2000 at the Salem Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Monroe Hunt. Warmack, Thelma Lee

Thelma Lee Warmack of Grantsburg, IL passed away September 13, 2008 at Western Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Warmack was born December 20, 1924 in Danville, Arkansas to Sanford and Lillian Carrouth Hunt. She was married to Robert T. Warmack on June 11, 1944 in Danville, AR. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and a brother.

She is survived by three sons Tommy Lee Warmack and wife Shayrn of West Palm Beach, FL, William D. Warmack and wife Barbara of Vienna, IL, James R. Warmack and wife Cathy of Paducah, KY; one sister, Faye Pool of Danville, AR and three granddaughters, Lorylee Hensley of Vienna, Sarah Sprunger and Emily Warmack of Paducah.

Belle Warnick, age 89, a resident of Dover, AR died Thursday, November 6, 1997 at St. Mary's Medical Center at Russellville. She was born on April 15, 1908 at Pope County, Arkansas to Jerry and Amandy Pike Whaley. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.

She was the widow of the late C. F. Warnick and was preceded in death by her parents; 11 brothers and sisters.

Surviving two sons and daughters-in-law, Coleman and Sharyn Warnick of Russellville and William and Marsha Warnick of Dardanelle; one daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Charles Proctor of Scottsville, AR; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bess Ann Warnsing, 85, of Plainview died Wednesday, February 20, 2007, at Dardanelle Nursing Home. She was a retired pastor and charter member for Full Gospel Church in Plainview.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Warnsing.

DARDANELLE - Mrs. Claudine Hendrix Warren, age 67, of Dardanelle died January 2, 1984 at a Little Rock hospital. She was a native of Poplar Bluff, Mo. daughter of the late Claude and Rose Moore Hendrix, a retired deputy circuit clerk and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, W. W. "Wib" Warren; a daughter, Mrs. Claudia Ann Davis of Hot Springs; her stepfather, Elmer Moore of Dardanelle; a brother, Glen Hendrix of Boston, Mass. and a granddaughter, Allison Davis of Hot Springs.

DARDANELLE - Ira Otha Warren, age 97, of Dardanelle, died Friday, March 22, 1985, at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was a native of Yell County, a retired merchant of Dardanelle, and a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include two sons, I. L. "Sonny" Warren and John Marshall Warren of Dardanelle; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Gray of Little Rock and Mrs. Margaret Toffelmire of Dardanelle; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Warren, J. Elmer

J. Elmer Warren, 76, died in a Little Rock hospital Wednesday morning, August 13, 1958. Mr. Warren was a native of Yell County and had lived most of his life in Dardanelle. He was a retired cattle man and served Yell County as deputy sheriff and was a former City Marshal. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, four sons, Lloyd, Wilburn, and Robert all of Dardanelle; Aubrey of Leesville, La.; One daughter, Mrs. Carl Wade of Tulsa; One brother, Otho Warren of Dardanelle, two sisters, Mrs. W. P. Strait, of Morrilton and Mrs. Thomas Hasty of White Rock, Texas, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, at 2:30 at the Cornwell Funeral Chapel, by C. V. Langford and Rev. Morris Roe. Burial was in the Mt. George cemetery. Joe Warren of Dardanelle died Monday, April 7, 1986 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was a retired well driller and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

Warren, Lora Brown

Lora Brown Warren, age 35 of Dardanelle, formerly of Dover, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at her home. She was born January 18, 1973 at Dardanelle to Emmitt & Lucielle Brown. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She was one of the strongest women anyone could ever meet, she truly loved life and she was most determined to live in spite of her disability.

She is preceded in death by her grandfathers; Emmitt J. Brown, Sr. and Harold Demoret.

Survivors include her husband John Warren of Dardanelle; one step-daughter, Courtney Leah Warren of Paragould; her parents, Emmitt & Lucielle Brown of Dover; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mona & Mark Moody of Belleville, Jennie Lu Brown of Russellville, Robin & Kraig Smith of Ft. Smith; a step granddaughter; her grandmothers, Bernice Brown and Franke Demoret both of Dover; many other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services were held January 26, 2008 at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Rev. Jerry Turner and Rev. Bill Moody officiating. Burial was held at Brearley Cemetery at Dardanelle. Warren, Louisa Elizabeth

HAVANA - Mrs. Louisa Elizabeth Warren, age 83, of Havana died today (Nov. 4, 1986) at her home. She was the daughter of the late W. H. and Nancy Ransom, and a native of Denton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Earl Warren.

Survivors include a son, Harold Dean Warren of Havana; four daughters, Selma "Midge" Carpenter, Ethel Marie Pecorelli, Eunice Evelyn Richardson and Cleta Joann Rowland of Havana; five brothers, Ben Ransom of Cooper, Texas, Clyde Ransom of Pampa, Texas, Charley Ransom of Dallas, Texas, Jim Ransom of Rome, Pa. and Henry Ransom of Paris, Texas; a sister, Myrtle Whitworth of Cooper, Texas; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Warren, Minnie Mae (Chaney)

Minnie Mae Warren, age 81, of Mt. George died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born January 21, 1933 at Comanche, Texas to the late Troy Trosby and Susan Mae West Chaney. She was a CNA and loved to fish and spend time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Leo Townsend and Adrian Warren; one son, James Townsend; two daughters, Lola Mae Short and Ellen Smith; one brother, Bill Chaney.

Survivors include her daughter, Flora Jackson and husband Wayne of Mt. George; two brothers, Tom Chaney of Texas, Eugene Chaney of Tennessee; one sister, Nora York of Arizona; seven grandchildren, A.J., D.J., Erica, Debbie, Elizabeth, Elise and Erica; six great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren. Memorial services were held by the family at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Mt. George Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Wells officiating.

Warren, Pearlie Victoria

Mrs. Pearlie Victoria Warren, age 85, of Dardanelle died Monday, October 14, 1968 in a Russellville Hospital. She was the widow of Elmer Warren, a native of Mt. George and a daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Cardin George. Mrs. Warren was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are five sons, Gilbert Rounsaville of Oklahoma City, Audry Warren of Tyler, Texas; Lloyd, Reedy, and W. W. Warren all of Dardanelle; one daughter, Mrs Ora Lee Wade of Tulsa; one sister, Mrs. A. C. Hunt of McAlester, Okla.; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral was at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Dardanelle Church of Christ with Minister C. V. Langford officiating. Active casket bearers were John Harwell, Jim Davis, Ritchie Warren, Bo Keys, Tommy Baker, Gilbert Rounsaville Jr., Warren McGuire and Ira Lee Warren. Warren, Robert Ewing "Reedy"

Robert Ewing "Reedy" Warren, age 89, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born April 17, 1913 in Mt. George, AR, he was a member of Dardanelle First United Methodist Church, the former owner of Tri-County Motor Company and Warren Laundromat, as well as an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mozelle McCray Warren.

Survivors include his daughter, Jana Warren Harwell; two granddaughters, Dory Harwell O'Neal, Kay Harwell Cloar, Kay's husband Ralph Cloar; nieces and nephews; and Reedy's faithful and loving dog, Harley.

The service was Friday, December 6, 2002 at Cornwell Chapel with Floyd Ervin officiating. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery. Infant Samuel Scott Warren, son of Scott and Cindy Warren, was born February 25, 2009 in Fort Smith and passed away March 2, 2009 in Little Rock.

He is survived by his parents, Scott and Cindy Warren of Fort Smith; one sister, Leah Raya of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Dustin and Alex Tedder both of the home; paternal grandmother, Judy Warren of Paris, AR and maternal grandparents, Barbara & Cleve Lovelace of Fort Smith, AR; and great grandmother, Frances Hamilton of Fort Smith.

Washington, Andrew

Body Found In Arkansas River - The body of a man was found about three miles downstream from Dardanelle in the Arkansas River last Thursday afternoon. A U. S. Army river survey crew came upon the body and called Sheriff Herman McCormick. No marks or bruises could be found, which indicate any foul play. The man was later identified as Andrew Washington, 60, of Ft. Smith, who had been missing about two weeks. Waters, R.F. "Bob"

Mr. R.F. Waters, longtime County Superintendent, who died in an auto accident Friday night south of Fayetteville when returning from Rogers where he had been the guest of Rev Mr. Royal, a Baptist Minister that held a revival in Danville some years ago and was a special friend of his, was buried in the Danville Cemetery, Sunday afternoon, after services in the Baptist Church in the presence of an assembly that crowded the church and overflowed several hundred to the outside. The services were held by Rev. Mr. Royal Rogers; Rev. Chas. Fineh, Pine Bluff; Dr. T.M. Tallison and Rev. Mr. Smith. The Court House Quartet, of which Mr. Waters was a member, composed for this occasion of Homer Cox, Jimmie Howard, Roy Good, and evangelistic singer, Joe Daniels, sang "Over the River." R.B. Chitwood, superintendent of Ola School sang a solo, "Crossing the Bar." Mrs. Aubrey Caviness read a poem written by Mr. Waters after the death of and in honor of the late Arch Keathley in 1938.

Pall bearers were the county officials, Buford Compton, Morris Moore, Willie Jay Clement, Baxter Gatlin, Fair Nelson and Homer Cox. Robert Cecil "Doc" Waters, 63, of Bartlesville, Okla., died October 3 at the Washington County (Oklahoma) Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a government inspector for the State of Oklahoma. At the time of his death, a former businessman of Wagoner and Bartlesville, an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville, and active in many phases of the community, county and state affairs. He was the son of the late Jim and Theria Waters, formerly of Havana.
