Mrs. Artie M. Vaughn, age 89, of Whittier, Calif. a former resident of Yell County, died July 28 at Whittier. She was the widow of Cecil Vaughn Sr. and daughter of the late Joseph H. and Rosa Harkey of Havana.
Survivors include a son, Cecil Vaughn Jr. of Fullerton, Calif.; a daughter, Charlene Poole of Whittier, Calif.; a brother, Joe H. Harkey of Highland, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Vada Smith of Dardanelle; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

DARDANELLE - Mrs. Bertha Druesller Vaughn, age 71, died October 21, 1980 at Dardanelle Hospital. Survivors include a son, James T. Peugh; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Whitbey, London, and Mrs. Bessie Barrett, Cleburne, Texas; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral was at 2 p. m. October 23 at Cornwell Chapel by the Rev. Charles DeWitt. Burial was at Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral service. Dardanelle - Mrs. Bertie Annalee Vaughn, 67, died in her home here yesterday. She was an active member of the Church of Christ here.

Vaughn, two sons, Earl, Altheimer, and Opal, Van Buren; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Adams and Mrs. Roscoe Vaughn, Dardanelle; four brothers, Jasper, Jack, Haskell and Herman Kent, all of Tulsa. Betty Sue Wise Vaughn, 62, passed from this life into heaven January 22, 2013 at Yell County Nursing Home. She was born November 19, 1950 in Lockhart, Alabama to Porter Reco Wise and Vera Ruth Hughes Wise.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Porter Kindle Wise and Royce Glenn Wise. Ms. Vaughn is survived by two sisters, Vera Gloria Ann Wise Hunt and husband Raymond of Plainview, Arkansas, Darthy Faye Wise Brown of Ola, Arkansas, brother Robert Earl Wise and wife Susie of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Mrs. Billie Jean Vaughn, age 72 of Dardanelle, AR, widow of Joe Vaughn, died Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was born March 17, 1928 in Carden Bottom, Yell County, AR to the late Clarence and Cora Sawyer McGlothin. She was a former clerk for Moore's Mini Mart in Dardanelle, a homemaker and mother and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Carden Bottom.
Survivors are two sons, Larry Joe and Dogan Phillip Vaughn of Dardanelle, AR; two sisters, Jessica Pagada of California and Mary Nell Booth of Dardanelle, AR and three grandchildren, Joey Vaughn of Russellville, AR and Justin and Savana Vaughn both of Dardanelle, AR.

Dogan M. Vaughn, aged 54, prominent Yell County stockman and farmer died Friday at a hospital at Russellville. He was a native of Yell County and lived most of his life at Carden Bottom where he operated extensive farm holdings.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lola Harkey Vaughn; a son, Joe Vaughn of Dardanelle; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Lee Suggs of Fort Smith, and a brother, Cecil Vaughn of California.
Funeral service was held Monday afternoon at the Assembly of God church in Carden Bottom by Rev. Earl Findley and Rev. Lonnie Guest. Burial was in the Brearley cemetery. Dwight Vaughn Dies In Highway 80 Accident - Dwight D. Vaughn, age 25 of Danville, was killed in a two vehicle accident at 5:55 p. m. on Sunday, May 25, 2008, just a few miles west of the Yell County line on State Hwy. 80. David S. Berry, age 24 of Mena was also killed in this fatal accident. Vaughn was a 2001 Danville High School graduate and was a carpenter for Gooch Construction. He was also an organ donor. According to an accident report, Arkansas State Trooper Eric L. Wold, the Berry vehicle was traveling west on Hwy. 80 when Vaughn's vehicle apparently crossed the double yellow line, striking Berry's vehicle in the front. Seat belts were in use in both vehicles. Berry was driving a 1995 Chevy pickup and Vaughn was driving a 1996 Chevy pickup.

Dwight Dean Vaughn, age 25 of Danville, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Waldron. He was born April 2, 1983 in Russellville, Arkansas to Hal & Sredah Scott Vaughn. Dwight was a 2001 graduate of Danville High School and was a carpenter for Gooch Construction. Dwight was also an organ donor.

Gladys Vaughn, age 95 of Havana, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. Born November 21, 1910 in the Piney Community near Havana to the late Ruffus E. and Mentie Rogers Jestice, she was a retired postal clerk for the city of Havana and a member of the Havana Methodist Church.

Gladys Vaughn, Bluffton Community Editor, Dies. Gladys Vaughn of Bluffton who had written the Bluffton news for several years for the Record died last Thursday unexpectedly at the age of 57. During the time Gladys was the news editor for Bluffton she received letters from all over the state and from several states and even overseas stating how much her column was enjoyed. People from neighboring states would stop and meet Gladys because they felt they knew her from her column. BLUFFTON My good friend and neighbor, Mary Dell Smallwood, come out and visited awhile with me and Oma George Thursday afternoon. On Friday morning Aunt Dealy Corder come up and ate dinner with us. My brother-in-law, R. Vaughn, also; come by and stopped long enough to say hi and see how I was doing. He is the only one of Omer's brothers who ever comes much or calls to see about me (him or Rosa). Jewell M. Webb, Omer's niece, is good to check on me too. I sure thank them and sure do appreciate their love and concern. Debbie Webb, Omer's niece, come up on Friday afternoon and mowed my yard for me. I sure do thank her so much and appreciate her doing it. She stopped and visited awhile with me before she went on home. I love my folks and his too. My family and friends is-what keeps me going and not getting so depressed. Mrs. Dora Ferguson is down at her daughters this week at Little Rock with Bob and Betty Oliver. My nephew, Ronald Moody, stopped by with me for a few minutes on Friday afternoon when he came in from work. Rosa V. of Plainview came up on Sunday and ate dinner with us and then after dinner my brother, Raymond George of Danville and Donald V. came up for awhile. Clyde, Winnie Spears and Aunt Dealy C. spent the day with Ronnie and Janice Spears and kids over at Danville. Gladys has not felt very good today but she is feeling some better now. Next Sunday, November 9th will be R. George's birthday. That is the Sunday all the family comes out to deer camp and. eats dinner with us. Ill sure be proud if and when I can ever get to feeling better to where I can do my work again. It's clouding up and looks like it may rain again. She was born on September 5, 1918 at Brinkley, AR to Homer and Maude E. Smith Casey. She married Earl H. Vaughn of Dardanelle on May 21, 1988 at Pine Bluff. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Pine Bluff and attended the Faith Church at Dardanelle.
She was preceded in death by, her first husband, A. L. Corley, her parents, one grandchild, one brother, one sister and one niece.

Mrs. Myrtle Vaughn, aged 73, died at the Yell County Hospital at Danville August 12. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bottoms, and a Baptist.
Survivors include seven sons, Lester and Riley of Wing, Omer of Briggsville, Robert Lee and Jay of Bluffton, Elmer of Plainview, and Raymond of Dardanelle; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Reed of Briggsville, Virgie Weems of Bluffton, and Mrs. Lillie Petty of Benton; one brother, Erwin Bottoms, of the Shark community; two sisters, Pearl Benefield of Hickory Ridge and Georgie Baylor of Oklahoma; 30 grandchildren; and 13 grandchildren.

Omer Odell Vaughn, 68, of Bluffton died Monday, September 3, 1984. Vaughn was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys of the home; six brothers, Lester of Rover, Robert and Elmer of Belleville, Raymond and Riley of Plainview, and J.C. of Bluffton; two sisters, Mrs. Virgie Weems and Mrs. Lillie Petty of Briggsville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
