Lester Herman Powers, age 79, of Danville died Friday, September 17, at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. Mr. Powers was a native of Danville, a retired farmer and cattleman, the son of the late Houston and Sally Denton Powers. He was born September 20, 1896 and was a member of the First Baptist Church and a Veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Ray Powers of Little Rock and Bobby Gene Powers of Danville; one daughter, Mrs. Erma Nell Meeler of Danville; one brother, Sid Powers of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Thessie Wilson of Danville and Mrs. Stella Claude of Burlington, Iowa and two grandchildren.
Funeral Services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, at the First Baptist Church in Danville by elder Luther Riddle with burial in the Earl Ladd Memorial Cemetery at Danville by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville. Mrs. Sallie Powers, 69, died Saturday June 20 at the home of her son Sid Powers in Danville.
The funeral was conducted at Moss Creek by the Cornwell funeral home with Rev. S.C. Simpson of Havana preaching the sermon in the presence of a large crowd of friends from the several communities where Mrs. Powers has been well known and loved. Many flowers further showed the esteem in which this woman was laid. She was a Methodist many years.
Surviving her are daughters Mrs. Velpo Claud, Mrs. Eric Wilson, and Mrs. Charles Tate, Belleville, sons L.H. Powers and Sid Powers, Danville, two sisters, Mrs. J.L. Sidney Otto Powers, 83, of Danville died Tuesday, December 15, 1987 at Sharp County Nursing Home. He was a former employee of Yell County Hospital and retired State Forrest Ranger. His wife, Mrs.
Virgie Opal Powers, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Chloe Millard of Bryan, TX and Mrs. Marla Thompson of Cave City; two sisters, Mrs. Thessie Wilson of Danville and Mrs. Stella Claud of Burlington, Iowa; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Violet M. Powers age 89 of Danville completed life's journey in this world and went on to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2002 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born July 23, 1912 in Chalybeate Springs, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Duke and Hudie Pillow Kimbrough. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville and retired from Chambers Memorial Hospital after twenty-four and a half years of service.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Billy Ray Powers of Little Rock, Bob and Ann Powers of Danville; a daughter, Erma Powers of Danville, one sister, Velma Kemp of El Reno, OK, two granddaughters, Tamer a Quattlebaum of Bryant, and Cindy Conley of Dardanelle, one great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons, and numerous relatives and friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2002, 2:00 p. m. at the First Baptist Church in Danville with Rev. David Hawkins and Rev. Delton Beal officiating. Virgie Opal Powers, age 74,of Cave City, AR, formerly of Danville, AR, died Friday, November 29, at White County Medical Center in Batesville, AR. She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Zeffie Morrow Ball, a member of the Danville United Methodist Church and a retired clerk.
Survivors include her husband, Sid Powers; two daughters, Mrs. Chloe Millard of Bryan, TX, and Mrs. Marla Thompson of Cave City; three sisters, Mrs. Ila Duke, of Danville, Mrs. Lebith Hammond of MI. and Mrs. Mauline Allinder of Little Rock; one step-sister, Vadis Ball; one step-brother Eugene Hunt, both of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded her in death, Mark Ball.
Funeral arrangements were held Monday, December 02, at the Danville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Benny Harmon and Rev. Mike Morey officiating. William Aldie Powers, 95, of Buhl, passed away peacefully, Dec. 14, 2005. He was born Nov. 11, 1910, in Danville, Ark. He married Wilna J. Bowerman on March 23, 1931. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He loved his family and friends and will always be in the hearts of his loved ones. He loved working his orchard it was his life as well as his livelihood. Hunting was his favorite hobby. Telling his stories was the next. He loved to sing and he had a beautiful singing voice. He always had a song ready. He spent many years teaching the Bible to others as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was baptized in approximately 1940 in Little Rock, Ark.
Survivors are son, Kenneth (Laura); grandchildren, Kathryn Bowers, Greg Powers (Liz), Debbie Robison (Doug) and Denny Powers (Deb); great-grandchildren, Danielle LaRose (Brian) and Jess Bowers, Karen, Lacey and Allie Powers, Christopher and Nicole Robison, Brittani, Ashlei, Storm, Hannah, Tori, Caden and Brynli Powers and great great-grandchildren, Danny and Breanna LaRose and Ashton Bowers The family appreciates the help given to Aldie by the Snake River Rehab. Wilna Josephine Bowerman Powers, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 4th, 2005. She was born May 23, 1912, in Danville, Arkansas to Fortha Elizabeth (Lizzie) Bowerman and Levi Bower-man of Danville, Arkansas. She married William Aldie Powers also of Danville on March 23, 1931. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends. She will always be in the hearts of her loved ones.
Survivors are her husband of 74 years, W. Janice "Judy" Powley, age 95, of Dardanelle, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at her home. She was born December 3, 1917 in Sulphur Springs, to Roscoe and Myrtle Dacus Choate.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E. E. Powley; a son, Stephen Powley; two brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include her son, John Powley of Omaha, Nebraska; her daughter, Judy Stokes of Dardanelle; five grandchildren, Simon Powley, Stace Foster, Sunne McManus, Mike Powley, and Sarah Weeks; and seven great-grandchildren.

Domino Edward Pozza, age 75, of Carter Cove, AR. died Friday, January 1, 1999 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born January 10, 1923 in Little Rock, AR. to the late Domenico A. Pozza and Joshophine A. Piazza Pozza. A retired Affiliated Foods employee, he was a veteran of the Coast Guard and a member of the Saint John's Catholic Church.

Leora Martin Prather, age 88, of Smackover, AR died Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at Smackover Nursing Home. She was born November 23, 1911, in Springhill, AR (Hempstead County) she was the daughter of James Henry and Ida Viola Huckabee Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Smackover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Samuel Winford Prather, Sr. and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her two sons, Samuel Winford Prather, Jr. of Springfield, MO and Warner Wayne Prather of Smackover; four daughters, Dorris Fay Johnson of El Dorado, AR, Phyllis Carolyn O'Neal of Crawfordsville, DeWanda Cathryn Gray of Danville, AR and Darlene Farmer of Atlanta, GA; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Troy was Troy Amos Prewitt born on January 30, 1931, in Itta Bena, Mississippi to the late Troy A. & Thelma L. Skelton Prewitt. He served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953; after the service Troy went to work for General Motors at the Fisher Body Plant in Flint, Michigan as a crane operator until his retirement in 1983. He was raised in a large family of eight brothers and three sisters, he loved his family, farming, hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and all that knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn J. He was born in Wing, Arkansas on November 13, 1905 son of the late William Billy and Sally Castleberry Price. He was a retired Farmer, Carpenter, and Painter. He was a member of the Rover Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ila Price, Fred Price, and Andrew Price; and by three sisters, Edith Rowell, Ethel Patrick, and Jewell Lawson.

Lula Dail Price, 80, of Rover, went home to be with our Lord on May 28, 2010, at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 18, 1929, the oldest child of the late Ted and Lula Harvey. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Rover Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Argus Price, one brother, Leslie Harvey, and a sister, Edith Chilen.

Friends in every section of Yell County were shocked and grieved last week to learn of the sudden death of Mr. John Price, which occurred at his home at Gravelly Wednesday morning, November 13th, 1940.
The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Jim Cofer, was held in the Methodist Church at Gravelly Thursday afternoon, the large auditorium being taxed to capacity to accommodate the assemblage of sorrowing friends who came to pay a last tribute of respect and devotion to one they loved and honored. John Price was born at Gravelly, where he spent practically his entire life. He was a good man and a good citizen in all that the term implies. Devoted to his church, active in all civic and educational undertakings, loyal to his friends, his place will be indeed hard to fill. Mr.

Randy Price, age 43 of Russellville died Thursday, June 27, 2002 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born August 28, 1958 in Russellville. He was retired from Price Milling and the Russellville City Fire Department and was a 1976 graduate of Russellville High School. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dardanelle, and Theta Chi Fraternity at Arkansas Tech University, a Ducks Unlimited and Quails Unlimited Sponsor.

OLA - William I Price, age 88, of Ola died Thursday, July 4, 1985, at Yell County Hospital, Danville. He was a retired farmer, a Methodist and veteran of World War I.

Mrs. Winnie Page Price, age 88, of Belleville, AR died Friday, March 21, 1997 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born November 15, 1908 in Dardanelle, AR to the late William J. and Sarah Hickerson Keirsey. She was a member of the Ranger Free Will Baptist Church and she was a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Page and Roscoe Price; a sister, Mattie Frizzle and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Elizabeth Page.
Survivors include four sons, Leonard, Ed and Boyce Page all of Belleville, AR and Russell Page of Waco, TX; two daughters, Ernestene Carter of Dallas, TX and Louise Mallonee of Milwaukee, OR; a brother, Marion Keirsey of Belleville; two sisters, Opal Johnson of Belleville, AR and Jewell Langston of Troup, TX; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Booker Walter Priddy, aged 49, died at University Hospital in Little Rock, December 29.
He is survived by his wife, Lizzie, and two daughters, Wilma Jean Lampkins, of Little Rock and Wynona Hefner, of Ft. 2/18/1983 - 11/12/2002 Ryan Troy Priddy was born in Bakersfield, California, on February 18, 1983. He went to be with our Lord on November 12, 2002. Ryan graduated from Stockdale High School in 2002 and was employed by ARRC Technology.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Michael and Susan; brother Jared, Grandparents Lola Alvarado, Clyde and Reba Priddy. Many aunts, uncles and cousins. There are so many friends, too numerous to mention, whose lives he touched and who touched his. They will miss him dearly. Violet Laverne Priest, age 77 of Lowell, AR, passed from this life Thursday, July 28, 2005 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born July 2, 1928 in Cash, AR to Henry and Virgie Nelson Hillis. She married Mitchell Priest on January 20, 1947 in Jonesboro. She devoted her life to the care of her family and church. She was an extremely talented seamstress, and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She was a charter member of Springdale Missionary Baptist Church. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Lynn Priest in 2004 twin infant daughters in 1949 and 19 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Priest of the home a daughter, Ellen Killebrew and husband Jim of Maumelle four sons, Dexter Priest of Lincoln, Lester Priest and wife Sandra of Lowell, Mark Priest and wife Julie of Springdale, Timothy Priest of Rogers a brother, Otto Hillis of Jonesboro 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
