Mary Virginia Fulton Peden, age 86 of Dardanelle died Saturday, January 15, 2006 at Arkansas Hear Hospital. She was born July 6, 1919 at Parkin, AR to Salathial M. and Erise Hovis Stanley. She lived a rich full live working beside her husband Ray as they built Fulton Angus Farm. She was a member of the Pisgah Methodist Church, worked many years at Keenan Gin and was active in community affairs in the Pisgah and Dardanelle area. She was a strong supporter of the schools, helping as homeroom mother and active band parent. In later years she enjoyed spending time at the Dardanelle Senior Activity Center and attending area dances with her husband Joe.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother; husband, Ray Fulton; two sisters, Rebal Sheldon and Sadye Yates; brother, Thomas Stanley
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Peden of Dardanelle; two sons, and one daughter-in-law, Stanley Ray Fulton of Dallas, TX, Ralph and Kay Fulton of Harrison; sisters, Tommie Nutt and Sammie Stanley of Fordyce; brother Bill Stanley of Kosse, TX; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 10:00 a. m. at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Irwin officiating. Pallbearers will be J. J. Wilcox, Harold George and nephews. Mr. DIAL PEEVEY, SEN. at the advanced age of 80 years, after an illness of several weeks. The subject of this brief notice was born in the State of North Carolina, and was a soldier in the Revolution. He moved to Madison County, Alabama, at an early day, and resided there for a long time before emigrating to Arkansas.
He has left a large family of children and grand children, to mourn his departure. His whole life has been that of an honest man. There is no one that can point at him and say that he has ever defrauded or injured any one. He has gone to reap his just reward. Peace to his memory. Everett Pelt, age 86, a resident of Dardanelle formerly of Plainview, AR died Thursday, November 3, 1994 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1908 at Plainview, AR to James and Irene Peeler Pelt. He married Marie Chester on June 6, 1936 at Plainview, AR. He was a serviceman with Valmac Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dardanelle.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Pelt and a sister, Gladys Breashears.

J. Dee Pelt, age 85, of Plainview, AR died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. He was born on June 16, 1921 at Sunlight to the fate James and Irene Peeler Pelt. He was a retired business man. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainview where he served as a deacon and past Sunday School Superintendent. He served on the Plainview-Rover School Board and was retired from the Plainview Fire Department. He was a Veteran of WWII.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lorene Lambert Pelt; one son Jim and Lyn of Collierville, TN; three daughters, Debbie and Bobby of Dardanelle, Dana Buttry of Pea Ridge, Diane and Barry Tippin of Ola; eleven grandchildren, Chris Pelt, Penny Owens and husband Les, Donna Selman and husband Paul, Mandy McClellan and husband Matt, Erin Mills and husband Nathan, Sheri Sykes and husband John David, Brooke Greene and husband Kurtis, Brett Long and husband Rodney, Dustin Tippin and wife Kim, Dylan and Brittany Tippin, and fourteen great grandchildren and four more to be born in the next few months; one brother, Hoyt Pelt of Las Vegas, Nevada also survives.
The funeral service was April 7, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Plainview, with burial at New Bethel Cemetery near Plainview, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Lorene Pelt passed away July 29, 2014 at Deerview Health Care in Ola, Arkansas. She was born December 7, 1924 in Aly, Arkansas to Ola Lambert. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Plainview where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a past member of the Plainview EH Club and served on the Yell County Cancer Board. She and J.Dee owned Pelt Discount Store in Plainview from 1970 to 1984.
She is preceded in death by her mother and her husband of 64 years, J. Dee Pelt.
She is survived by one son Jim and Lyn Pelt of Collierville, TN and 3 daughters, Debbie and Bobby Crow of Dardanelle , Dana Buttry of Pea Ridge and Diane and Barry Tippin of Ola. Pauline Vernice Pelt, age 88 of Dardanelle, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born March 19, 1919 at Rover to the late Thomas Steele and Carley Green Cathey. She was a Freewill Baptist in faith and was saved around the age of 25.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Pelt; brothers and sisters, Bonnie Reese, Lee Tyler, Virgie Cochran, Hays Cathey, Milburn Cathey, Zerline Williams Cathey, Thomas Wayne Cathey and Raymond Cathey; and son-in-law, Howard James Race.

Brooker W. Pence, 68, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, died suddenly April 28. He was born in White County, Arkansas, October 19, 1897. He later moved to Macedonia in Dutch Creek Valley, and was a Baptist and 35-year Mason. He had been in poor health for several months and his death came only three days after that of his brother, Elmer Lee (Bud) Pence, of Norman, Okla.
He is survived by his wife Myrtle Royce Pence; one son, Robert L; and three grandchildren of Klamath Falls, Oregon; stepmother, Mrs. Fannie (Pence) Carrouth; a brother, Gilbert S. of Norman, Okla; and two sisters, Mrs. Lindsey W. Taylor of Norman, Okla., and Mrs. W. B. Bice of Danville.

Clauzell Lee (Hunt) Pence, the sole surviving child of Harrison and Lula Hunt, born September 4, 1908 in a log cabin on the Hunt farm, Dutch Creek community, 8 miles west of Danville, AR. She departed this life September 2, 2003 at Mitchell s Nursing Home in Danville, two days short of her ninety-fifth year. As a young lady, she was not only adored by her parents, but as a teenager, she had the distinction of being chosen the prettiest girl at the Yell County fair, an honor for which she did not even realize she was being considered. For this honor, she received the coveted 2.00 prize, a nice prize in those early days. After attending Shark School on Dutch Creek, she was married to Gilbert Sylvester Pence, October 3, 1926 in Danville, Yell County, AR. After an early life together in both Arkansas and Oklahoma, the couple established a permanent residence in Norman, OK, where they lived until returning to Danville in 1970, where her husband preceded her in death February 2, 1972.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, giving birth to nine children seven boys and two girls, Zelma June and Billie Joan, both now deceased. She was a devoted Christian, having been baptized into Christ in July of 1940. She loved to work with her hands much of which was done for others. She could crochet, tat, sew and especially quilt. As a result of her love for handiwork and others, over the years, she created scores of quilts, giving them to family members, friends and orphans (between 1976 and 1989, she made and sent at least 46 to Southern Children's Home in Morrilton, AR). She also did a good deal of quilting by commission. She was a faithful member of the Danville Church of Christ. In her last years, however, ill health prevented her attending services.
Survivors include seven sons, Gerald Lloyd of Noble, OK, Merrill Theo, Kenneth Wayne, Travis Vaughn and Wyatt Hunt all of Danville, AR, Leslie Maurice of Kissimee, FL and Philip Bryan of Las Vegas, NV and 27 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Service was September 6, 2003 at the Danville Church of Christ with Merrill Thomas Pence officiating. Interment was September 8, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, OK by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Kenneth Wayne Pence, age 77, of Danville died Friday, January 11, 2013, at Danville, Arkansas. He was born February 19, 1935 in Norman, Oklahoma to the late Gilbert Sylvester and Clauzell Lee Hunt Pence. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ. He was a retired vending company manager.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Gerald Pence, June Madden, Billie Joan Pence, and Leslie Pence.

Mr. Elbert G. Pendergraft, age 70, of Waveland, AR passed away January 10, 1997 at his home. He was born March 2, 1926, in Ione, AR. He was a Veteran of WWII and worked as an electronic engineer at the Dryden Research Center, Nasa, at Edwards Air Force Base, California. His family is proud of his contribution made to guidance systems ranging from the X-15, Missile and the Lunar Landing Research vehicle (LLRV).

She was born November 26, 1947 at Atkins and was a daughter of the late Nelson Jay and Helen Mae Savage Spence. She was a graduate of Capital City Business College and was a member of Bethel Worship Center, in Russellville.

Mildred Frances Pendergraft, age 90 of Danville, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at Dardanelle Nursing Home. She was born October 15, 1919 in Booneville, AR to the late Thomas and Limmer Rowlett Finney. She was the last charter member of the Danville Freewill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William David "Junior" Pendergraft; son, Don Lee Pendergraft; siblings, Marie, Theron, Jim, Pete, and Carl Finney and Christine Wright.

William David Junior" Pendergraft, Jr. age 86, of Danville, AR died Friday, January 16, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born August 20, 1917 in Booneville, AR to the late William David Sr. and Bessie Powell Pendergraft. He was a retired carpenter and poultry grower and a member of the Danville Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Don Lee Pendergraft.

Staff Sgt. Willie Clebert Pendergrass, 28, of Gravelly, was killed in Vietnam on May 12. A telegram from the War Department, delivered to Pendergrass' mother Sunday by Sheriff Herman McCormick, said that he died while riding a M-42 Howitzer tank after being hit by fragments from a mortar round. He was a member of Battery B, 1st Battalion, 44th Artillery. He graduated from Fourche Valley High School and entered the Army in 1960.

Douglas F. "Doug" Penner, age 57 of Dardanelle, AR died Wednesday, October 20, 1999. He was born August 14, 1942 in Solsville, NY. He graduated high school from Madison, NY and received his BA degree from the University of Georgia and his Master's from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He retired after 33 years as the quality control manager for ConAgra Frozen Foods in Russellville, a cattleman and horse farmer. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Pinto Association, American Paint Association and the American Palomino Association. He also showed horses in the Arkansas Futurity.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Penner Atkins.
Survivors are his wife, Carol Owens Penner; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jim Haulmark of Russellville; one son, Marcus Langford of Dardanelle, AR; his parents, Donald and Lenora Lemery Penner of Cleveland, GA; a grandson, William Haulmark of Russellville, AR; two brothers and sister-in-law, Sid and Brenda Penner of Melbourne, FL and Jim Penner of Montgomery, AL; sister and brother-in-law, Bob and Cathy Hamilton of Cleveland, GA; aunt, Shirley Hamm of Oreskany Falls, NY and several nephews and nieces.
