Nail, Lois Lorrean (Riley)

Lois Lorrean Nail, age 83 of Ola, an angel that left this world on June 28, 2012 at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. She was born December 30, 1928 at Cedar Glades, Arkansas to Jim and Mary Cooper Riley. She was a cook and a member of the Ola First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom Nail and one sister Lucille Kelly.

Survivors include three sons; James Nail and wife Pansy, Tony Nail and wife Sherri and Lynn Nail all of Ola; two daughters, Elizabeth Walker of Ola and Katherine Melnick and husband Jim of Lonoke; one brother-in- law Cecil Kelly of Tulsa, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was June 30, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Ola with Brother Bill Hatfield and Brother Kirk McConnell officiating. Burial was in Petillo Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ricky Riddle, Tony Nail, Jr., Austin Blalack- Arthur, Tom Shinn, Mike Shinn, Tom Nail, Kirk McConnell and Ruben Innis III. Nail, Mary E.

Mary E. Nail, age 87 of Danville died Sunday, June 13, 2004, at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was born May 30, 1917 in Waveland, Arkansas to the late Henry and Carrie Chappell) Hood. She was a retired sales clerk, Valedictorian of her Havana High School graduating class, and a member of the Dr. John Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Belleville.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Billmyer and Vernon Nail.

Survivors are a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services were held June 15, 2004 at the John Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Belleville with Rev. Bill Storts officiating. Interment will be at Moores Chapel Cemetery in Waveland, under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville. Nail, Mary Elizabeth

Mary Elizabeth Nail, age 88 of Ola, AR died Wednesday, November 12, 1997 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born in Tucumcari, NM, January 13, 1909, daughter of the late Marion and Elizabeth Snow Cooper. She was a mother and homemaker, a member of the Ola Assembly of God Church. She was the widow of John Nail.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois Nail of Ola, AR and Lucille Kelly of Tulsa, OK; a son-in-law, Cecil Kelly of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service was November 15, 1997 at the Ola Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jerry Schlinker officiating. Burial was in Petillo Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville. Nail, Sybil Belle

Sybil Belle Nail, age 95, of Dardanelle died Saturday, July 10, 2005 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born November 28, 1909 in Harkey's Valley to the late Riley and Ari Gunter Robinson. She was a former cook for the Centerville School District and retired after thirty years as a nanny and housekeeper for Dr. Luker. She was a member of the Centerville Assembly of God Church for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Doc Rector and Pete Nail and a son, Opal Rector.

Survivors are two sons. Walter Roy Rector of Dardanelle, Donnie Ray Rector of Russellville a daughter, Madge Louise Carothers of Centerville, 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren-and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Centerville Assembly of God church with Brother Clelland Tilley and Sister Jean Findley. DANVILLE - David A. Napier, age 64, of Danville, died Saturday, October 26, 1985. He was a farmer, a chief deputy sheriff and tax collector for Yell County, a funeral director with Cornwall Funeral Home in Danville and a World War II veteran.

Survivors are his wife, Mae Rice Napier; two daughters, Donna Cornwell of Benton, and Sue Stewart of Danville; two sisters, Sallie Bellew of Rainier, Washington, and Nannie Censeal of Longview, Wash. and four grandchildren.

DANVILLE - David A. Napier, age 64, of Danville died Saturday, October 26, 1985, at Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. He was a funeral director at Cornwell Funeral Home, a native of Rover, and son of the late Henry and Mattie McWayne Napier. He was a veteran of World War II, and a former chief deputy sheriff and tax collector of Yell County.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae Rice Napier; two daughters, Donna Cornwell of Benton and Sue Steward of Danville; two sisters, Sally Bellew of Rainier, Wash. and Nannie Ansiel of Longview, Wash. and four grandchildren, Monty and Brian Cornwell of Benton and Brad and Sonya Steward of Danville.

She was born June 30, 1926 in Rover, AR to the late Iverson and Nettie Small Rice. She was a former Yell County Deputy Tax Collector and Recorder for the City of Danville and a retired dental and medical assistant. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton and a homemaker and mother and Nana to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Napier.

She is survived by three daughters. Donna Holland and Sue Steward both of Benton, AR and Pam Alexander of Danville, AR six grandchildren and spouses, Sony a Steward and Dana Fashing of Ft. Smith, AR, Brad Steward, Monty & Stacie Cornwell and Brian Cornwell all of Benton, AR; three great-children and a special friend and care giver, Peggy Reed.

Napier, Mae - Former Danville Recorder, Deputy Clerk

Mae Napier, 77, of Benton, formerly of Danville died on Saturday, March 15, 2004 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She served as the Chief Deputy Tax Collector for several years under Sheriff Herman McCormick. Her late husband, David Napier, served as a Deputy Sheriff for McCormick for many years. Ms. Napier also served as Danville City Recorder in the early 1970's.

DARDANELLE - Bertia Irene Blankenship Nash, 84, of Dardanelle died Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born October 29, 1928, at Rover, to the late James and Bertie Spears Blankenship.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Nash.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Martin and husband, Ed, of Yantis, Texas; and a host of family and friends, especially the one ones she worked with at the nursing home.

Nash, John Robert

John Robert Nash, Sr., age 69, of Dardanelle died April 8, 2002 at Dardanelle Nursing Home He was born April 2, 1933 at McCroy, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Alvie and Maudie Kendrick Nash. He was a mechanic for heavy-duty equipment.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Irene Blankenship Nash; a son, John Robert Nash, Jr. of Little Rock; daughters, Jeanette Nash and Evelyn Rogers of Little Rock, Sherry Nash of Hot Springs; step-daughter, Limits Martin of Greenville, Ohio; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Harrison of Idaho and a nephew, Ernest Duck of Pine Bluff.

Irma M. Nation, 87, of Briggsville died Friday, December 29, 2006, at Mitchell's Nursing Home. Born December 14, 1919 in Briggsville, she was daughter of the late James Joseph and Loucretia Spears Sanner, a homemaker, and a member of the Briggsville Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Orles Nation; brothers, Ernest Sammer, Leo Sammer; sisters, Armenda Mathis, Arleva Payne, and Edna Cooper.

Nauert, Herbert Ernest

Herbert Ernest Nauert, age 89, died Friday, January 18, 2008 in his home in Greenwood, AR. He was born November 29, 1918 at Stamford, TX to Herman and Linna Mueller Nauert. He married Dolores Dippel in Stamford December 18, 1937. They lived in Texas until 1952 when they moved to Belleville, AR. He was a farmer-rancher all his life, and was a lifetime member of the Texas Cowboy Reunion Assn. He was of the Lutheran faith, and was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers.

Funeral service was Monday, January 21 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, AR with burial at Liberty Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores of the home; one son, Clinton and Nancy Nauert of Greenwood, AR; two grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Kieke of Stamford, TX; and one sister-in-law, Emma Gentry of Stamford, TX. Neal, 77, died in the hospital at Morrilton, February 3, and was buried Sunday, 2:30 p.m., with funeral services conducted by Rev. L. Roy, Ashley. Brother Neal was pastor of the Bluffton Baptist Church last year and resigned because his health was failing so fast. William F. "Bill" Neal, age 82 of Dardanelle, died Monday, June 2, 2008 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born August 7, 1925 at Guion, AR to the late Allen D. and Lila A. Constant Neal. He was a logger and a musician where he played guitar and sang with the Rising Suns Band. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vivian Imogene "Jean" Neal; son, Johnnie Neal and daughter-in-law, Kathy Neal.

Survivors include a son, Dickie Neal of Centerville; daughter and son-in-law, Minnie and Mike Simpson of Rosecreek; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Neal of Melbourne; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Judge Charles M. Neeley, 58, Carlsbad justice of the peace, died at the home of his son, Cormack Neeley, here at 7 p.m. Saturday, only six days after a paralytic stroke.

Funeral rites will be held at 3 p.m. Monday from the West Chapel, with the Rev. C.E. Jameson, First Methodist pastor, officiating, and burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.

HAD 3 DAUGHTERS The judge was a widower, but is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Claude Arrington and Mrs. Hubert Grandi of Carlsbad, Mrs. Junie Norid of Fort Sumner; three sons, George and Cormack of Carlsbad and Floyd of Arkadelpia, Arkansas, where he is in school; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Ford of Carlsbad and Mrs. Robert McBee of Hugo, Okla.; eleven grandchildren and a former wife, Mrs. Frances Neeley of Otis. HERE 12 YEARS The judge came to Carlsbad 12 years ago from Plainview, Yell County, Arkansas, and was employed by the state highway department until a year ago, when he became justice of the peace. He was born at Balomsett, in Scott County, Arkansas, January 3, 1882. Donald Gene Neeley, age 73, of Russellville died Monday, March 7, 2016, at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born September 17, 1942, at Ola to the late George W. and Bobbie Bittle Neeley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marge Neeley and the mother of his children, Linda Sparks.

Survivors include three children, Debbie Gullett and husband Bro. Mike of Plainview, Tim Neeley of Dover, Rocky Neeley and wife Kim of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Floyd Neeley, 74, 1527 Ferguson Road, died Monday (March 8, 1993) at Guadalupe Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church.

Burial is to follow in Carlsbad Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Bacon officiating. The family is to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Denton Funeral Home. Neeley was born April 16, 1918, in Plainview, Ark. He moved to Carlsbad in 1930 and grew up in the Otis and Carlsbad area. He attended Ouachita University in Arkedelphia, Ark., and received a B.S. in Chemistry. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp in the European Theatre as a B-17 pilot and flying 50 missions successfully as a member of the 32nd bomb group, 301st bomb squadron. Mr. Neeley married Della Hart November 2, 1940, in Bentonville, Ark. He worked for P.C.A. as a chemist and became chief chemist before retiring in 1982 after 43 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, served on the first Water Board in Otis, was active in the Farm Bureau and was a member of the American Chemical Society.

He is survived by his wife, Della Neeley of Carlsbad; two daughters, Kiane Lowe of Albuquerque and Priscilla Neeley of Mineola, N.Y.; one sister, Ida Weems of Carlsbad; and two grandchildren, Ian Lowe and Ryan Lowe of Albuquerque. Mr. Neeley married Della Hart November 2, 1940, in Bentonville, Ark. He worked for P.C.A. as a chemist and became chief chemist before retiring in 1982 after 43 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, served on the first Water Board in Otis, was active in the Farm Bureau and was a member of the American Chemical Society.

He is survived by his wife, Della Neeley of Carlsbad; two daughters, Kiane Lowe of Albuquerque and Priscilla Neeley of Mineola, N.Y.; one sister, Ida Weems of Carlsbad; and two grandchildren, Ian Lowe and Ryan Lowe of Albuquerque. V.L. Garner, John Allen, Gene Roberts, Randal Smith, William Weems and Pat Neeley are scheduled to serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the C.A.R.C. Farm. Jerry Allen Neeley, age 60, of Ola, AR died Friday, February 1, 2002 at his home He was born July 30, 1941 in Ola, AR. He was an Air Force veteran, a retired master general for Rock Island Railroad, had owned and operated Neeley's Garage and mini Storage and was a farmer. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd "Eschal Neeley.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Sue Wilson Neeley; his mother, Ruby Hicks Neeley of Ola, AR; a son, Terry Allen Neeley of Smyrna, GA; two daughters, Melinda Sue Neeley of Still water, OK and Elizabeth Diane Lewis of Ozark, AR; two brothers, Johnny Neeley of Russellville, AR and Danny Neeley of Ola, AR; a sister, Barbara Poppemheimer of Hernando, MS and two granddaughters Laura Lea and Katie Lynn Sparacino of Ola, AR.

Neeley, Ruby Agnes (Hicks)

Ruby Agnes (Hicks) Neeley, age 91, of Ola AR died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born to Wiley and Virgie Hicks on February 26, 1919 in Dardanelle, AR. She was married to Lloyd Eschal Neeley on August 28, 1937 at Dardanelle First United Methodist Church. She served as a nurse in Yell County for several years. When she was not working, she was a full-time homemaker and mother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ola for over 50 years. She was a collector of dolls and antique jewelry. She loved spending time with family and she loved to garden in her younger years. Ruby also loved bright colors and colorful prints. Her parents and her husband of 60 years, Lloyd Neeley, preceded her in death and she was also preceded by her brothers, Bill and Jim Hicks and her sisters, Edith Cossey, Mildred Sevic and Barness Coffey. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Allen Neeley and a grandson Brian Crow.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Sue Silvertooth of Dardanelle, AR and one brother, Frank Hicks of Atkins, AR; her sons, Danny Neeley and his wife, Capella of Ola and Johnny Neeley and his wife, Tracey of Russellville; her daughter Barbara Poppenheimer and her husband, Joe of Hernando, MS; her daughter-in-law, Sue Neeley of Ola. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Patty Caligaris of Hernando, MS, Jill Johnson of Pittsford, MY, John David Neeley of San Antonio, TX, John Mark Neeley of Texarkana, AR, Michael Neeley of Sallisaw, OK, Billy Rose and Cyndi Climer both of Russellville, AR, Elizabeth "Charlie" Lewis of Ozark, AR, Terry Neeley of Smyrna, GA, Melinda Neeley of Benton, AR and Danielle (Neeley) Stewart of Russellville, AR. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was March 13, 2010 at the Ola First Baptist Church. Henry Neighbors, age 85, of Gravelly died Saturday morning, September 8th, 1973 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. Neighbors, J. Raymond

J. Raymond Neighbors, 94, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2004, in Tulsa, OK. Born to Henry L. & Pearl (Lesley) Neighbors, June 15, 1910, in Ozark, AR. Among other things, he was a cattle farmer and most recently worked for Phillips 66 as a filling station manager. He married Onedia (Marrow), January 1, 1936 in Gravelly, AR. They were married for 68 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, two brothers and one grandchild.

He is survived by his spouse, Onedia, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Del Gann of Broken Arrow, OK, Patsy and Jake Pickens of Gravelly, AR; grandchildren, Jamie Pickens of Gravelly, AR, Shannon Gann of CA, Adam Gann of Broken Arrow, OK; great grandchild, Lisa Marie Pickens of Gravelly, AR; one brother, Opal L. Neighbors of Tulsa and one sister, Villa Neighbors of Nola, AR.

Neighbors, Mariem Beatrice (Bea)

Mariem Beatrice Neighbors, age 87, of Gravelly, AR passed away March 24, 2005, in Ft. Smith. She was born August 11, 1917, in the community of Red Hill, Arkansas, first child of Joseph and Belle (Benefield) May. She and her husband has owned and operated a local bus line in Yell, Pope, and Scott counties. She had retired as an electronics technician in Kansas where she lived for 25 years, returning to Bluffton, Arkansas to care for her mother. She had been an active member of the Danville Senior Citizen Center for many years and was a lifelong member

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Preston Neighbors, a brother, Joseph L.R. May, and an aunt, Dollie Bain, of the Nola Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Joan and Judge WR. "Bud" Harper; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law Violet and Doyce Potter of Bluffton, AR; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn May of Eudora, KS, Oneida Neighbors of Tulsa, OK, and Villa Neighbors of Nola, AR; a brother-in-law, Opal Neighbors, Tulsa, OK; several dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held March 28, 2005 at the Nola Church of Christ on Highway 28 with Brother Leonard Fu-son officiating. Interment was in Parks Cemetery, Nola, AR. NEIGHBORS - Opal L., 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 29, 2005. Born to Henry L. and Pearl (Lessley) Neighbors in Rover, AR, on December 11, 1918. He served his country in the U.S. Army in WWII from March 1942 until October 1945. After the war he worked in the poultry, construction and transportation industries. Later he worked as a Foundry Core Maker for Fairbanks and Morris in Kansas City, KS, where he worked for 23 years. He had been a resident of Tulsa since 1979. Preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Raymond, Preston and Claude Neighbors; sister-in-law, Beatrice Neighbors; sister, Jean (Neighbors) Smith.

Opal is survived by his son, Gary Neighbors and his wife, Loretta and their son, Russell of Lake JAckson, TX; 1 sister, Villa Neighbors of Nola, AR; companion, Pauline Morrow; sister-in-law, Onedia Neighbors and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
