Louise Miller, age 79, of Centerville died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. She was born December 15, 1936, at Poteau, Oklahoma to the late Fred and Jennie Lou Jones Anglen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry Anglen, Terry Anglen; sisters, Alice Anglen, Betty Jo Aultman, Linda Delancey, Ouita Butterfield; great granddaughter, Krystal Keim; great grandson, Brady Burks; grandson-in-law, Greg Jones.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Joe Miller of Centerville; two daughters, Vickie and Charlie Mullen of Centerville, Mickie and Jimmy Fuller of Centerville; two brothers, Sonny Anglen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Oather and Faith Anglen of Sperry, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Christy Jones, Shelli Mullen, Khelli and Richie Burks, Tara and David Lawrence and six grandchildren, Layton Jones, Trey Burks, Brett Burks, Dylan Burks, Carson Keim, Cloe Keim.

Lula Scott Miller, age 92 of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born July 12, 1913 at Dardanelle to the late Berry and Inez Cecil Scott. She was a Nurse's Aide and a member of the Unity Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary McMillin; two brothers, Cecil and Jack Scott; two sisters, Laura Parks and Verona Rutledge.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Willie Christy of Dardanelle; grandson, Mickey Christy; two granddaughters, Patty Colwell and Bonnie Christy; three great grandchildren, Tim Christy, Steve Colwell, and Kelly Colwell; several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services was December 2, 2005,. at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Rev. Horace Hollis officiating. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Christy, Steve Colwell, Shelly Borden, and Billy Aaron. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Kelly Meyers and staff of the Dardanelle Nursing Home. Melba Chambers Miller, 80, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2004. Born July 8, 1924, in Briggsville, Yell County, AR, she was the daughter of Warren and Lula Chambers. She graduated from Fourche Valley High School and attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She worked at Acme Fast Freight, and for various Yell and Pulaski County Judges. She also taught school in Yell County. She loved tending flowers in her yard and watching the horses run at Oaklawn. She also loved feeding and watching the birds at her many feeders, but her family and friends meant the most to her, especially her grandchildren. She is most proud of Will and Molly, who gave her great pleasure. She was a founding member of the Arkansas State Police Auxiliary, and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Other organizations include the Mabelvale Pioneer Club, and the Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a member of Henderson United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Col. Carl Miller, who was one of the original Arkansas State Police, and a former director of the Arkansas State Police.
She is survived by one daughter, Melody Susan Parsley.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 15, 2004 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Chapel in Alexander, AR with Reverend Kevin Lyon officiating. Burial followed at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Ollie Verona Crain Miller, 96, of Watson, AR, departed this life Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Dumas, AR. She was a homemaker and member of Watson Baptist Church. She was born November 20, 1909 in Hollis, AR (Perry County) to the late John and Ella Crain. She is the widow of Lester Miller.

Pauline Miller, 87, of Plainview, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 1, 2006 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. The daughter of Curtis Reed and Ruby Pauline Bell Westlake, she was born October 21, 1918 in Plainview. Her career spanned 58 years, teaching in the Brush Creek, Nimrod and Plainview school systems. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Plainview Music Club, Friends of the Library, Friends of the Park, multiple school related organizations and a member of the Plainview First Baptist Church. She married Paul E. Miller, Sr. on May 4, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1974. She is also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Wilma Perry; and one brother, Curtis Reed "Bud" Westlake, Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Miller, Jr. and wife Peggy, James Westlake and wife Geneva; two daughters, Sue McEwen and husband James, Barbara Phillips and husband Thomas all of Plainview; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Inez Lockhart of Santa Rosa, CA, Louise Edmondson of North Little Rock, Ruth Metcalf Gatlin of Mesa, AZ, Mary Jessup of Auburn, MI and Doris Dennis of Little Rock and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Reda Davis and her granddaughter, Ciera Miller.

Rita Joan Miller, age 70, of Chalybeate, died May 13, 2016. She was born February 11, 1946 to Chesley C. and Hilda J. Millard. She was a farmer and had worked in the grocery business for several years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bobby Ray Miller of the home; two sons and daughters-in- law, Steven and Julie Miller of Chickalah, and Shannon Miller of Russellville; a daughter Stacy and son-in-law Donny Green of Mt. Robert J. Miller passed away February 27, 2001 at the Faulkner Nursing Center in Conway, AR at the age of 82. He was born June 12, 1918 in Plainview, AR, the son of Homer Cleo Miller and Lillie Dalton. He was a graduate of ASTC (now UCA). He earned a Bachelor of Art degrees and became a published poet, he is listed in Notable Americans and was a veteran of the US Army.

Francis Frankie Millis, 87, passed away July 26, 2009 at the River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle, AR. She was born April 20, 1922 to the late Callie and Henry Mitchell in Louisville, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert Hamilton Millis; her parents; two brothers, L. B. Mitchell and V. D. Mitchell.
She is survived by a sister, Ramona Mitchell Apple and husband, Robert Edward Apple of Dardanelle; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Mitchell and Cora Lee Knootsie Mitchell; four nieces, Carolyn Butler, Dale Mitchell, Robin Apple, and Sue Shotts; three nephews, Ronald Wayne Mitchell, Landon Lee Mitchell, and Robert Edward Mitchell; five grand-nephews and two grand-nieces.

Matt Douglas "Doggie" Millner, age 81, died Saturday, January 8th, 2000 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. He was born September 11, 1918 in East Palestine, OH to the late Matt M. and Ethel A. Flowers Millner. He was a WW II Navy Veteran and a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by a son, Harry Millner.

Mrs. Sallie Millner, age 96, longtime operator of the Exchange Hotel at Ola, died at her home there Sunday. A native of North Carolina and a Presbyterian, Mrs. Millner was known as "Aunt Sallie" by her Mends and patrons of the Hotel. She and her late husband, Madison Millner, whom she married in 1875, moved to Ola in 1900 and began operation of the Hotel. After Mr. Millner's death in 1929, Mrs. Millner and her daughter continued operation of the Hotel until 1940, when she retired.

Bill Monroe Mills, age 33, of Mount George, AR died Saturday, April 10, 1999 at his home. A son of Herbert and Ruby Mills, of Mount George, he was born November 18, 1965, at Dardanelle, AR. He was a carpenter and a member of the Gateway Pentecostal Church of God in Russellville, AR.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harrison and Nora Mills and Bessie Buie. Bobby Earl Mills, 69, of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. He was a 25 year veteran with the Arkansas State Police, having started with the State Police in 1966. Prior to that he had worked in the aircraft industry, and also served in the Army from 1962 until 1964 as a Military Police officer. Mills was raised in Spadra, and graduated from Hartman High School in 1957, where he had played basketball and baseball. He attended College of the Ozarks. He also worked for a while with Russellville Firestone, and in Utah at Hardrock Mines before becoming a Trooper. He started as a Trooper in Little Rock as an interstate patrolman in 1968. The following year he transferred to Dardanelle, where he was stationed in Yell County until his retirement in 1991. He retired from the State Troopers as a Corporal. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, and was buried with graveside Masonic Rites.

Bobby Earl (Sweet Darlin) Mills, 69, of Dardanelle, passed away Wednesday, July 30th, 2008, at the River Valley Medical Center. He was born in Logan County between Short and Horseshoe Mountains on January 21, 1939, to Clarence Edward Mills and Minnie Mae Roberts Mills. Bobby Earl was a 25 year veteran with the Arkansas State Police and was known as Sweet Darlin. He was a 32nd degree Mason. In 1966, Bobby Earl went to work for the Arkansas State Police in Little Rock as an interstate patrolman. One year later, he transferred to Dardanelle and was stationed in Yell County until his retirement in 1991. He retired as Corporal. Bobby Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his baby brother, Clarence Edward Mills, Jr. (J. J. ).
He is survived by his childbride of 30 years, Linda Cockburn Mills; his daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Jerry Crow of Dardanelle; his baby sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Mel Hays of Dardanelle; his sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred Tillman of Clarksville, Margaret and Jack Ralph of Salinas, California.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 1, 2008, 2:00 p. m. at the Dardanelle Community Center. Burial was in Brearley Cemetery with the Arkansas State Police Honor Guard and graveside Masonic Rites, Bright Star #213. Active pallbearers were the Arkansas State Police Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers were all state and local law enforcement officers, members of the Yell County Wildlife Federation and the Bigger Creek Hunting Club. Herbert Wayne "Hubo" Mills, age 72, of Mount George, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at his home. A son of the late Henry Harrison Mills and the late Nora Lee Clinger Mills, he was born February 15, 1930, at Mount George, Arkansas. He was a retired employee of Wayne Farms in Danville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Monroe Mills; a brother, Lawrence Mills; a sister Betty Joy Mills Coffman; and a grandson, Brandon Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Mills; a son, Henry Mills of Mt. George; two daughters Brenda Shepherd of Atkins; and Connie Horn of Mount George; a brother, John Mills of Mount George; two sisters, Mozelle Gist of Mount George; and Modean Vinson of Centerville; thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral were Friday, July 19, 2002, at the Mount George Church of Christ with Mr. Chris George officiating. Burial was in Dacus Cemetery, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. James Charles "Jim" Mills, age 67, of Little Rock, died December 25, 2001. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Iron Springs Masonic Lodge 342. He was owner of Allstate Glass and Radiator in North Little Rock from which he retired.
He is survived by Barbara Mills of Little Rock; two children, Kelly Nail and her husband Charlie and Debbie Loose and her husband Mark, all of Little Rock; one sister, Willene Paige of Bogalusa, LA; and three grandsons, Charles Allen Nail, Scott Dean Loose, and Jeff William Loose.
A graveside service in remembrance of Jim was held Saturday, December 29, 2001 at 2:00 p. m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Lawson officiating. John Berry Mills, age 84, died in a Little Rock hospital October 24, 1958. He was a lifelong resident of Yell County, a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.

Booneville Man Killed In Wreck Near Waveland - Kermit Mills, 52, of Booneville, was killed instantly when his car left Highway 10 and overturned about two miles west of Waveland early Tuesday morning. Sheriff Herman McCormick and State Trooper Richard Powell, who investigated the wreck, said that Mills, who was traveling west, swerved to the right, lost control and left the road on the left, clearing a creek and landing upside down against an embankment. The accident apparency happened about 2:20 a.m., according to a nearby resident who heard the noise and since Mills' watch had stopped at that time. The car was not noticed until a bread truck passed about 5:30 a.m. The man carried no billfold or identification papers and his identity was not known until Tuesday afternoon. Sheriff McCormick traced the car license from a man at Ft. Smith, through used ear dealer at Ft. Smith and Booneville, to Mills, who had purchased the car at Booneville.

Leah Cowger Mills, age 88, of Pine Bluff, AR, died September 26, 1998, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born August 17, 1910, at Gravelly, AR she was the daughter of the late James Ira Cowger and Ophelia Ann Hunnicutt Cowger. She was reared and received her early education at Danville. She attended Arkansas Teacher's College at Conway now the University of Central Arkansas. After college, she taught third grade and fourth grade and home economics at Harmony Grove School at Haskell. There, she met and married her late husband, Robert Bartley Mills, on April 21, 1936. He died in October 1971. In 1943, the family moved to Little Rock. While living there, she was a homemaker, was active in school and community organizations, and was a member of the Florence Chapter 15 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of the Baring Cross Baptist Church, where she organized, directed and taught in the children's department for 30 years. She also taught in the church kindergarten department for 17 years prior to moving to Pine Bluff after the death of her husband. She became a member of the First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff where she held various positions of service in her Sunday School Class, continued her support of the WMU and until her eyesight began to fail at the age of 83, planned and led the singing in the Senior Adult Sunday School department.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers, one being the late Cleo Cowger of Danville.
Survivors are a daughter, Maria Eifling of Pine Bluff; a son, Robert Duane Mills of Spring, TX; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, September 29, 1998 at the Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Chapel. The burial was in the Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Alexander. The Rev. Markel Alvin Dwayne Mills, age 19 months, of Russellville died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born November 4, 2005 at Little Rock to Robbie Chavez and Jutun Mills.

Ruby Jane Mills, age 74, of Pottsville died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her home. She was born May 26, 1940 at Little Rock to the late Opal and Bessie Hurst Buie. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Wayne Mills; one son, Bill Monroe Mills; one grandson, Brandon; two brothers and one sister.

W. L. "Bill Mills, age 72 of Russellville, AR died Thursday, April 15, 1999 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born June 14, 1926 at Plainview to Addie Tedder Mills and the late Clarence Mills. He married Laverne Jeffryes Mills on April 24, 1971 in Atkins. He was a retired salesman of Russellville Tobacco and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Jefferys Mills of Russellville; one son, Mike Mills of Russellville; one daughter, Jane Wells of Russellville; his mother, Addie Tedder Mills of Porterville, CA; one brother, Myrl "Doc" Mills of Porterville, CA; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Willa Dean Mills, 76, of Greenwood, formerly of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this world on Thursday, October 27, 2016, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born August 12, 1940, in Belleville, Arkansas to Willie Martin "Bud" and Onedia (Capps) Rogers. She was a beautician in Booneville for many years and currently worked for Area Agency on Aging as an aide. She was an avid golfer, former softball player, loved dancing, bingo, shopping, going to watch her grandchildrens sporting events and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Billy Mills; three brothers, Orval, Kenneth, and Loy Don Rogers Sr.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 31, 2016, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial in Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Waveland, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammie Mills of Booneville; one son, Billy Dean Mills of Russellville; life partner, Justin Osmer of Greenwood; four sisters, Christene Miller of Waveland, Eululia Mills of Fort Smith, Nell Pruitt of Russellville, and Patsy Taylor of Booneville; one brother, Billy Rogers of Fort Smith; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
