Lusk, Eva M. James

HAVANA - Funeral services for Mrs. Eva M. James Lusk, age 70, who died October 17, 1980 at the University Hospital, Little Rock, were at 2 p. m. October 20 in the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. V. W. Simpson officiating. Burial was in the Havana Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service. Mrs. Lusk was a native of Gravelly, a daughter of Charles and Ida Bell Schnemsber James and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Lusk, Ira Bass

Ira Bass Lusk, aged 68, of Havana Rt. 1, died at the Yell County Hospital Saturday, February 10. He was a farmer.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eva Lusk; five daughters, Mrs. Troy Keener of Havana, Mrs. Nina Mae Rider of Havana, Mrs. Katherine Scott of Paris, Mrs. Sue Henderson of Danville, and Mrs. Frankie Lusk of Havana; two sons Kermit Lusk of Richmond Calif, and Jack Lusk of Havana; two brothers, Silas Lusk and Cecil Lusk of Havana; and twelve grandchildren. Lusk, Jack G.

Jack G. Lusk, age 51, of Havana died Saturday, November 28, 1998 at St. Edwards Mercy Hospital in Ft. Smith. Mr. Lusk was born August 7, 1947 in Havana, to the late Ira Bass and Eva Mae James Lusk.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kermit Lusk; two sisters, Shirley Keener and Charlene Peters.

Survivors are one brother, James Robinson of Richmond, CA; four sisters, Frankie Lovelace of Ranger, Sue Henderson of Danville, Katherine Sistrunck of Barling, Nina Rader of Waveland; and 20 nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 1, 1998, 10 a. m. at Havana Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Storts officiating. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home. Lusk, Johnie Mae

Johnie Mae Lusk, age 73, of Richmond, CA died April 23, 1997 in a Pinole Hospital. She was a native of Havana but had been a resident of Rickmond for 47 years. She was a homemaker for the past 54 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Holt of Danville, AR; three sons, Jimmy Lusk of Hercules, Bobby Lusk of Fremont and Jerry Lusk of El Sobrante; two sisters, Mae Wehunt of Fairfax, OK and Mamie Walker of San Pablo and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Kermit Lusk.

Luttrell, Frank Truman

Frank Truman Luttrell, age 80, a resident of Ola, AR died Tuesday, September 22, 1998 at Yell County Nursing Home at Ola. He was born on March 5, 1918 at Casa, AR to Timothy and Josie Elizabeth Hambright Luttrell. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Calvin Luttrell, Bill Luttrell and Theodore Luttrell; two sisters, Faitha Alexander and Ollie Parks.

He is survived by a daughter, Abbie McCain of Ola, AR; a son, Jim Luttrell of Kalispell, MT; a grandson, Kenny McCain of Ola, AR; two granddaughters, Amanda McCain of Ola, AR and Leevie Luttrell of Kalispell, MT; a great granddaughter, Kimberly Luttrell of Kalispell, MT; a step-son, three step-daughters; one sister, Irene Lovett of Ceres, CA; also numerous nephews and nieces.

Luttrell, James Edward

James Edward Luttrell, age 44, of Russellville, formerly of Plainview died Monday. He was born November 11, 1957 in Danville, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Frank T. and Nola Pearl Potts. He was a veteran serving 12 years in the Navy.

Survivors include his daughter, Leevie M. Ewer and granddaughters, Kimberly and Kaitlyn Ewer, all of Cornelius, Oregon; two stepsons, Kendall and Brent Reagan of Lakeside, CA; sister, Abbie McCain of Ola, AR; stepsisters, Nola Flannagan of Candler, NC, Margie McGavran of Russellville, and Ellen Reed of Orange, Texas; stepbrother, Robert Meriweather of Plainview; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim is well remembered for his kindness to others and generosity to all.

Lyford, Martha Mcosker

Mrs. Martha McOsker Lyford, age 45, of RUSSELLVILLE, wife of Dr Joe H. Lyford Jr. died Friday;(10-15-1982) Mrs. Lyford was a graduate of Hendrix College and a member of the P. E. O. Sisterhood, Russellville Culture and All Saints Episcopal Church.

Other survivors are two sons, Robert H. Lyford of Little Rock and, John C. Lyford of Russellville; a daughter, Miss Ann S. Lyford of Russellville; and her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon T. Ritter of Columbus, Ind.

Memorial service will be at 10 a. m. Monday at All Saints Episcopal Church by the Revs. Patrick Murray and John Shoemaker. Private graveside service will follow. Burial will be by Shinn Funeral Home. Lyle, Gloria G.

Gloria G. Lyle, age 93, a resident of Ola, AR formerly of Miami, FL died Saturday, January 17, 1998 at Yell County Nursing Home at Ola, AR. She was born on April 28, 1904 at Atlanta, GA to Mr. and Mrs. William Turner. She was a homemaker.

She was the widow of the late Harold L. Lyle and preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Gloria Martha Franklin. I

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Marilyn Lyle of Russellville; six grandchildren, Martha Laverne Brooks of VA, Patricia Jackson of Florida, Edward Allen Franklin, Jaime Patrice Lyle, Jennie Marie Lyle and Amanda Christine Lyle all of Russellville; six great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and a brother, T. J. Turner of Florida.

Bess Elizabeth Lynch, age 90, of Russellville passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Russellville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born May 5, 1921 at Dardanelle to the late Antone and Bessie Brabec Klober. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved attending Silver Sneakers at Saint Mary's Wellness and Fitness Center. She was past president of the New Blaine VFW Women's Auxiliary, she loved people and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carolan "Smokey" Lynch; three sisters, Ann Wilson, Josephine Heaps, Mary Balloun; three brothers, Tony Klober, Van Klober, Frank Klober.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy S. Descant of Bunkie, Louisiana, Peggy Kerin and husband Douglas of Russellville; six grandchildren, Debra D. Parker of Alexandria, Louisiana, Derek Descant of Pineville, Louisiana, Terri D. Fletcher of Bunkie, Louisiana, Amber D. Riddle of Metairie, Louisiania, Mark Wiseman of Gravelly, AR, Meghan Kerin of Russellville, AR; three great grandchildren, Marlee Hardy of Bunkie, Louisiana, J.D. Descant Jr. of Pineville, Louisiana, John Edward Parker of Alexandria, Louisiania. Lynch, Freddie Ray "Bear"

Freddie Ray "Bear" Lynch, 60, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born February 19, 1954 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was a retired tool and die supervisor at Whirlpool in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a former member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and the Parkview Baptist Church in Booneville and The Booneville Lion's Club where he served as the First Vice District Governor 71 and was the former President of the Booneville Lion's Club. He enjoyed going to car shows, fishing, drag racing, golf, but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Louetta Hamilton; step- father, Willie Hamilton and step- mother, Joyce Lynch.

Funeral services were scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday. June 4, 2014 at the Parkview Baptist Church in Bonneville with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Lawrence D. Larry Bozo Lynch, age 72, of Dardanelle died Saturday, February 16, 2002. He was born January 30, 1930 in Maude, Oklahoma to the late D. Z. and Audie Oxford Lynch. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, a 50-year mason, a member of the Dardanelle Boyce Wood V. F. W. Post 3141 and a retired line driver for Time DC. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and attended the Dardanelle First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Whillock Lynch.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Ruby and Fred Rodgers, her father, Ellis Ketcherside; two sisters, Caralee and Linda Ketcherside and one aunt, Jackie Robertson.

Thelma Lynch, age 87, a resident of Dover, AR, formerly of Conway, AR died Wednesday, August 2, 2000 at St. Marys Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. She was born on April 30, 1913 in Yell County, AR to Kyle and Marlin Spain Crow. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late O. L. Lynch. She was a charter member of the Dover United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Dover United Methodist Women, a Boy Scout & Cub Scout leader for many years and a member of the Dover Conway PTA's.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Sue Lynch Jones.

She is survived by, two sons, John Lynch and James "Jim" Lynch both of Dover, AR; two daughters, Betty Lynch Burnett of Russellville, AK and Ruby Lynch of LaHabra, CA; four grandchildren, Tracy Yingst of Wisconsin, Danny Lynch of Russellville, AR, Kyle Bonner Lynch and Jamie Lynch both of Dover, AR; three great grandchildren and caregivers, Emma Hull, Serena Hutson and Diane Ketcherside.

Florence Ellen Vaughn Lynn, age 92 of Delaware, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at her home. She was born July 29, 1917 at Delaware to the late Robert and Johnnie Roper Shoemaker.

She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Loyd Vaughn and James M. Lynn; brothers, Desmond, Robert, Farris, and Gerald Shoemaker; and a son-in-law, Leon Standridge.

Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Standridge of Delaware; sisters, Athalea Deeds and Hilda Davis of Delaware, Ruby Floyd of Dardanelle; sister-in-law, Betty Shoemaker of Little Rock; one grandson, Michael Standridge and wife Melissa of Dardanelle; two granddaughters, Lesa Daily and husband David and Toni Swaim and husband John Paul all of Delaware; six great grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.

Lyon, Loice Myree

Loice Myree Lyon, 92, of the Ranger community died Friday at Melissa Hight's Elder Care Home in Conway. Born December 12, 1913, in Ranger, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Dena Gantt Dowdy. She was a retired school teacher, a member of the Methodist Church, Yell County Retired Teachers Association, lifetime member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, and AARP.

She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ruth Haygood Dowdy; her husband, Everett Ardell Lyon.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Albert Book of Greenbrier; two grandsons, Gerald and Jeff Book of Greenbrier.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Cornwell Chapel in Danville. Interment was at Earl Ladd Cemetery, Danville under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville. Faye Lyons, age 94, of Dardanelle, AR died Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born September 9, 1908 near Birta, AR.; she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Annie Frost Hambright, widow of Homer Lyons, a retired cook for the Dardanelle schools and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Lyons, Marilyn Sue

Marilyn Sue Lyons, age 66, of Russellville, AR formally of Danville, AR died Saturday, December 2, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville, AR. She was born December 16, 1933 in Little Rock, AR to the late Mary Lou Harris Goltry. She was a mother and a homemaker and a member of the Danville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ted C. Lyons two sons and a daughter-in law. Richard Goltry of New York and Jody and Ann Forlenza of San Diego; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gina and Kim Kochsiek of Piano, TX and Toby Forlenza of Woodland Hills, CA and four grandchildren, Beau, Clayton, Josh and Emma.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Bingaman, Paris, at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Lyon cemetery for Mrs. Sarah Ann Lyon, age 75, who died Saturday at the home of her son, Albert Lyon, near England, Smith Funeral Home, Danville, was in charge. Mrs. Lyons was a long time resident of Logan and Yell counties. Lyons, Ted

Ted Lyons, 80, of Danville, AR passed away unexpectedly Tuesday September 17, 2013 at UAMS in Little Rock, AR.

Services was Friday, September 20 at the Danville First Baptist Church. Ted was born on August 6, 1933 in Belleville, AR to Ed and Geneva Basinger Lyons. He was raised in Danville, AR and graduated from Danville High School in 1950. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Arkansas Tech where he was a four-year letterman in basketball for coach Sam Hindsman. He received his Master of Education Degree and his Specialist Degree in Administration from the University of Arkansas. He was a Korean War Veteran having served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He was a teacher and basketball coach for 19 years in the state of Arkansas. He coached at Drew Central in Monticello, Crossett High School, and Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. From 1977-1999 he served as High School Principal and Superintendent for the Danville School District where the Gym was named in his honor. Ted Lyons was a coach at heart. He was so proud to be able to influence the lives of so many young people. The highlight of his coaching career was his 1968 Crossett team that won the State Championship and in the same year was the head coach of the All Star Team. His memberships and associations included: First Baptist Church Danville, where his favorite ministry was the Awana Program that he served in faithfully. Lions Club, The Arkansas Association of Education Administrators(AAEA) and the Arkansas Rural Schools Association.

Survivors include his wife Saundra Aikman Lyons and a daughter Martha Holland (Mike) of White Hall. A stepson Chris Briggs (Lora) of Briggsville,two grandchildren, Katie and Jacob Holland of White Hall. A sister Vicki Lyons Forrest (James) of Bella Vista. Nephews, Alan Forrest(Angele) of Maumelle. Brad, Jeff and Todd Lyons of Idaho. Nieces, Lottie Forrest Secker (Mark) of Rogers and Wendy Lyons of Idaho.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lindsey Holland and brother Billy Ed Lyons. Vernice Fink Lyons, age 84, of Dardanelle, AR died Tuesday, September 21, 1999 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born February 11, 1915 in Yell County, AR to the late Newt and Modena Gray Fink. She was a mother, retired homemaker and a devout Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe E. Lyons and several brothers and sister including, Charlie, Bill and Levi Fink, Johnnie Mae Inman, Icie Cannon and Froni Stevens.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, George Burton and Winnie Lyons of Conway, AR and Bobby and Donna Lyons of Dardanelle, AR; two brothers, Maurice Fink Of Dardanelle, AR and Johnnie Fink of Hillsboro, TX; two sisters, Vonia Sneed of Mesquite, TX and Lorene Brown of Indianapolis, IN; four grandsons, George, Rickey, Paul and Andrew Lyons; three granddaughters, Diane Shock, Nancy Mullins and, Debbie Lyons; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Allie Cole Mable died Thursday, May 18, at Fort Smith.

Harrell D. Mabrey, age 57, of Russellville died Saturday, November 16, 1985, at St. Vincent Infirmary at Little Rock. He was plant manager for Hapence Inc. of Atkins and a former resident of Searcy.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elaine Mabrey; two sons, William Mabrey of Lake Wiley, S. C. and Robert Daugherty of Jeffersonville, Ind.; three daughters, Beverly Peckenpaugh and Deborah Brent of Rover, Ky. and Lisa Mabrey of Little Rock; two brothers, Melvin Mabrey and Robert Mabrey of Rover; three sisters, Mary Dodge, Wanda Hibbs and Jean Williams of Rover; four grandchildren, and four step-grandsons.

Mabry, Brandon Dale

Brandon Dale Mabry, age 14, of Russellville, AR went to be with Jesus, Sunday evening, July 4, 1999 at Centerville, AR where there was a fireworks explosion. Brandon was born May 16, 1985 to Kelly and Barbara Mabry of Russellville, AR. He was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church of Russellville, a 9th grader at Gardner Jr. High School where he was a member of the football team and band. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and athlete and a member of the Ozark Teenage Rodeo Association.

Survivors include his parents, Kelly and Barbara Mabry of Russellville; a sister, Jessica Mabry of Russellville, AR; paternal grandparents, O. A. "Tom" and Irene Mabry of Chula, AR; maternal grandparents, Paul & Shelby Henderson of Scottsville, AR and Erma Henderson of Russellville, AR; great-grandmother, Ola Henderson of McRae; aunts and uncles, Keith and Tammie Mabry of Russellville, AR; Vickie Mabry of Little Rock, AR; Marvin Henderson and Pete and Cindy Matthews of Russellville, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Luther Roscoe Mabry, age 82, of Bluffton died Saturday, May 1, at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was the son of the late James O. and Catherine Lloyd Mabry, and was a Retired farmer.

Mabry, Lydia

Lydia Mabry, age 85, of Story, AR died July 16, 2001 in the Montgomery County Nursing home in Mt. Ida. She was born August 20, 1915 at Harvey, AR to the late James Wesley and Mary Jane Taylor Austin. She married the late France Oliver Mabry in 1931 at Forrester. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Story Church of God. Lydia and France lived at Chula, Yell County, AR several years before moving to Story.

She is survived by three sons, Oliver Lee Mabry of Charlston, Don Mabry of Ft. Smith and Ricky Marby of Story; two daughters, Marie Noles of Story and Mavis Ferguson of DeWitt; one sister, Ester Odell of Watson; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her oldest son, Billy Dean Mabry; a brother, Chester Austin; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service was July 17 in the Story Church of God with Bro. Roger Harper officiating. Interment was in the Reed Cemetery at Story under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mt. Ida. Mabry, Malissia Ann Hunt

Mrs. Malissia Ann Hunt Mabry of Chula died Thursday, March 4, at the hospital at Danville. She was born it Waltreak September 11, 1882 and was the daughter of Enoch Hunt and Anna Tollison Hunt. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the widow of Luther Mabry, who preceded her in death May 1, 1971. They made their home in Chula until 1949 when they moved to Bluffton.

Survivors include two sons, A.O. Mabry of Chula and O. M. Mabry of Havre, Montana; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 6, at the Aly Baptist Church with Rev. Rass Menton officiating. Interment was in the Chula Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home.
