Kemp, Abby Lee

Abby Lee Kemp, age 80, of Danville, AR died Thursday, February 27, 1997 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. She was the daughter of the late Cordy and Ella Fryer Ramer, Sr. She had owned and operated Kemp's Flowers and Gifts in Danville, was a charter member of the Danville First Assembly of God Church, past president of the Arkansas Florist Association, past president of the Danville Music Club, past president of the Danville Women's B and PW club, and past grand matron of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayland C. Kemp and a daughter-in-law, Judy Martin Kemp.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Carroll R. Kemp of Danville and Wesley B. and Sharon Ann Kemp of Alma; two grandsons, Carroll R. Kemp II of Los Angeles, CA and Wesley B. Kemp II of Fayetteville, AR; a granddaughter, Caroline Kemp of Alma; one brother, CA. Ramer, Jr. of Fordyce; two sisters, Nevene Chandler of Crossett and Bobbye Thomas of Plumerville.

Funeral service was held March 1, 1997 at the Danville First Assembly of God Church. Burial was in Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville. Pallbearers were Dr. L. Kemp, Carroll R.

Carroll R. Kemp, age 59, of Danville, AR died Monday, May 3, 1999 at St. Mary's in Russellville, AR after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Wayland and Abby Ramer Kemp. He was associated with Farmers Insurance Group for 30 years and was the owner of Parkview Manor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Martin Kemp.

He is survived by a son, Carroll R. Kemp II of Los Angeles, CA and one brother, Wesley Kemp of Alma, AR. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 6 from 7 to 8 p. m. at the Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville, AR.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 7 at 2:00 p. m. at the Danville First Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville. Mr. Jackson Keith Kemp, age 44, of Houston, Texas died November 14, 1967, at Houston as a result of an electrical accident. Mr Kemp was employed as a welder. He was a native of Chickalah (Yell County) and only child of W. Lushon and Edna Partin Kemp. Mr Kemp was a member of the Baptist Church. Lear Barton Kemp, age 70, a retired merchant of Russellville, died Tuesday at a Russellville hospital. He had suffered from cancer and heart trouble for the past several months. He had lived at Leslie before moving to Russellville 35 years ago and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Kemp, Sharon Ann (Walkup)

Sharon Ann Kemp, 67, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Alma First Presbyterian Church. She was born September 30, 1947 in Paris, TX to the late James Elton and Anna (McBride) Walkup of Havana. She was a graduate of Havana High School.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith. Interment will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 6, 2015 in Havana Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Mrs. Allie Aikman Kendrick, age 84, died Sunday, November 18, 1990 at DeQueen, AR. She was a native of Bluffton, AR, a Christian and a homemaker.

Clarice Rhoades Kendrick, age 90, of Plainview, formally of Springdale, died Friday, February 6, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born in Gravelly, Arkansas on August 25, 1913 daughter of the late George and Lou Stone Rhoades. She was retired sales clerk for J. C. Penny's in Tulsa, OK and a member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale.

She was preceded in death by Norman Kendrick and a brother, Herman Rhoades.

Edgar Lee Kendrick, age 80, died Friday, December 28, 1984 at his home in McGehee. A native of Yell County, he had farmed in Desha County for the past fifty years. He was a charter member of both Rankins Chapel Baptist Church of Dumas and the Chickasaw Baptist Church of McGehee.

Erskin Kendrick, 89, of Dumas, formerly of Yell County departed this life May 20, 2005 in Little Rock, AR. He was born at Bluffton, A Ron October 11, 1915 to the late Edward Albert and Edna Weems Kendrick. He was a Baptist member of the Omage Lodge #547, he also was a retired machinist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Eugene Kendrick; daughter, Peggy Kendrick Pickens; brothers Loy and Troy Gwin; sisters Allie Douthit and Beatrice Garner Yeats; son-in-law, Joe Michael.

Mr. James Harold Kendrick, age 88, a resident of Zephyrhills, Florida, and former resident of Cerro Gordo, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Dade City, Florida. He was born to Ellie and Allie Aikman Kendrick in Bluffton, Arkansas, on September 23, 1926. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, having served in the U. S. Army for almost 30 years. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, in September of 1988. He was also a rancher, which was his passion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Gyne Kendrick, Billy Joe Kendrick, and Gilbert Kendrick, and his wife, Ingeburg Maria Kendrick.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Birgit Metzner of Germany, and James H., Jr. and Brenda Kendrick of Wake Village, Texas, two daughters and a son-in-law, Suzann Marie Leavor of Dade City, Florida, and Tracy and Scott Frachiseur of Grannis, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Shawn and Matthew Leavor of Dade City, Florida, Kaitlin and Madison Householder of Luguna Park, Texas, and Brandi and Autumn Frachiseur of Grannis, two brothers, Tony Kendrick and Aikman Kendrick both of Cerro Gordo, Arkansas, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Kenny Kendrick, 41, of Russellville died Monday, July 15, 2013, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. He was born May 21, 1972, at Danville to Albert Merion and Nell Jones Kendrick.

Kendrick, Marie Edith Cooper

Marie Edith Cooper Kendrick, age 90 of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. Born July 4, 1916 in Roy, NM she was the daughter of the late Clarence Otis Sr. and Lizzie Hickle Hoskins. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and special friend to many. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ and had just retired from Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Cooper and Herman Kendrick, a daughter-in-law, Sue Riley, three brothers, Albert Hoskins, Alfred Hoskins, and Clarence Hoskins, Jr. and a sister, Gladys Pearson.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law; Clifton Riley of Dayton, TX, Kenneth and Judith Cooper of Zepher Hills, FL; a daughter, Carolyn Cornwell of Danville; sister-in-law, Grace Hoskins of Tucumcari, NM; six grandchildren and spouses, Darrell and Lynn Riley both of Dayton, TX, Michaelle and Lance Wilkins of Danville, Allison Cornwell of Little Rock, Ashley and Dr. Brent Gregg of Conway, and Michael Rush Cornwell, Jr. of Little Rock; five great-grandchildren, Brett Lee, Carlee Grace and Jarrett Lee Wilkins all of Danville, Anna Caroline and Samuel Andrew Gregg both of Conway; and a very special and dear friend, Jim Prochazka of Dardanelle.

Services were held Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. John McCourt and Dr. Brent Gregg officiating. Allison Cornwell provided the eulogy. Mrs. Norma Green Kendrick, age 75, of Ola died Saturday, August 19, 1972 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a native of Plainview, daughter of the late Joe and Mary Ann Ford Green, and was a member of the Kingston Home Demonstration Club and the Salem United Methodist Church.

Rayburn "Pat" Kendrick, age 90, of Russellville died Thursday, December 4, 2003. He was born August 19, 1913, at Crow Mountain in Pope County, Arkansas to the late Allen Young and Ophelia Kendrick Morphis. He was a cattle farmer and a member of the Pottsville Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Kendrick; 2 sons, Bob Kendrick, Bud Kendrick; a daughter, Linda M. Sparks; and a grandson, Barry Kendrick.

Survivors include a son, Ray Kendrick of Russellville; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Eugene Kendrick, 47, of Danville, died of a heart attack at his home here early Wednesday morning. He was with the Enforcement Division of the Game and Fish Commission and had been a G & FC employee for the past 12 years. Mrs. Shirley Ann Kendrick, age 57, of Dardanelle, AR died Tuesday, August 4, 1998 at her home. She was born January 1, 1941 at Bessemer City, NC to Uria and Susan Mitchell Costner. She was the widow of Jim Kendrick, a LPN, and a member of the Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church.
