Derrick Wayne Herman, age 8 of Booneville, AR was born August 4, 1999 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He passed away February 9, 2008 in Danville, Arkansas. He attended the second grade at Belleville Elementary School.

He is survived by his mother Rebecca Herman (Barron Bates) of Booneville, AR; his father, Abel Herman (Ronda Ketsouryavong) of Booneville, AR; 3 sisters, Morgan Herman and Brooklyn Phillips of Booneville and Tiffany Herman of Magazine, AR; paternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley Herman of Magazine, AR and maternal grandparents, Katherine Terry of Booneville and Raymond Terry, of Booneville; maternal great-grandparents, Reba and Junior Austin of Booneville, AR.

Hernandez, Jose Angel

Jose Angel Hernandez Hernandez, age 79, of Dardanelle passed away Friday April 8, 2016, at Sparks Regional Medical Center. Jose was born August 2, 1936, in San Luis Putosi Mexico to the late Santa & Manve La Hernandez Hernandez. He was retired from Tyson and he was a member of the St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Senovia Hernandez; children, Yolanda Hernandez of Danville; Irma Hernandez of San Luis Putosi Mexico; Mario Hernandez of Texas; Raul Hernandez of Texas; granddaughters, Yadira Ponce Hernandez of Danville; Oneyda Ponce Hernandez of Danville; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Danville St. Andrew Catholic Church with Father Mauricio Carrasco officiating. Steven Sebastian Hernandez, age 44, died March 5, 2002 in Jonesboro. He was born June 8, 1957 in Pomona, CA. He was the son of the late Pete Hernandez and Mary Limon Hernandez. He worked as a concrete construction worker and was a Catholic.

Survivors include 3 sons, Joseph and Camillo Hernandez of Russellville, Billy Hernandez of California; daughters, Sabrina Hernandez of California, Maria Hernandez of Michigan; brothers, Camillo Hernandez of Pottsville, Henry and Joey Hernandez of California; sisters, Lydia and Jenny Villabos and Erma Linda Hernandez all of California and many nephews and nieces.

Fernando Elbert Hernandez-Jaramillo, age 23, of Danville, AR, died Friday, August 22, 1997 at the University Med Center in Little Rock. He was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico May 30, 1974. He was a chicken catcher for Rick Webb of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Reyes Cuellar-Castro.

Survivors include his parents, Vicente Hernandez-Cuellar and Obdulia Jaramillo-Rendon of Cuernavaco, Morelos, Mexico; one brother, Hector Cruz-Jaramillo and a daughter, Brenda Nayelly Hernandez-Aranda age 5, both of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico; two uncles, Tomas Solgado of Danville and Rafael Saldado of Clinton and a host of friends and loved ones.

Mrs. Cleo Herr, age 63, of Rover died Thursday, February 11, 1988 at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home.

Dr. Harry Amos Herr, age 86, of Rover, died Sunday, January 31, 1988 at the Leagsy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville. He was a native of Fresno, CA, son of the late Amos and Elizabeth Weaver Herr, a retired Medical Doctor and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cleo Morrison Herr; two sons, Harry Herr of South Korea and Hank Herr of Fort Polk, LA; one daughter, Helen Herr of Little Rock; also four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Freda Suzzette "Sue" Herrera, age 44 of Dardanelle, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at her home. She was born June 4, 1964 at Russellville to Lamar Franklin and Shirley Kathern Simmons Fraser.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lamar Fraser and her husband, Richard Herrera.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Fraser of Dardanelle; daughter, Savannah Herrera of Dardanelle; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mark White of London; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jean Fraser of Dardanelle and several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Richard Herrera, age 53 of Dardanelle, died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at his home. He was born May 18, 1954 at San Bernardino, CA to Tony and Angie Velasquez Herrera. He was a Pvt. First Class in the U. S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Angie Herrera.

Brchman K. Herrin, 95, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born to Sylvester C. and Thula T. (Harris) Herrin on November 5th, 1921 in Parks, Arkansas. He was a former resident of Gravelly, AR.

Brehman was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Herrin; children: Steve Herrin and wife Cathy and Angelia Herrin and husband George Farrell; three grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Brehman will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Elaine Ball Herring, age 39, of Strong, AR died Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born January 26, 1960 in White Pine, TN to Dorothy Brown Ball and the late Lester Ball. She was Public Relation Director for Herring Furniture in Strong and was formerly employed with South Arkansas Eye Clinic. She was a director for the Union County Cancer Society and a member of the First Baptist Church in Strong.

Survivors are her husband, Phil Herring; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lindsey T. Thurman of Strong, AR, Chasity and Darby Brighton, Amber and Rush Cornwell and Lindsey B. Herring; her mother, Dorothy Brown Ball of White Pine, TN; three sisters, Arlene Ball of White Pine, TN, Betty Riddlebarger and Kathy Rodgers all of Morristown, TN; several uncles, aunt, nephews, nieces and friends.

Herring, Floyd O.

Floyd O. Herring, 47, of Danville, died in a Little Rock hospital April 14 after suffering a heart attack the previous Friday. He was a native of Yell County, had attended Danville High School and Davis College in California. He served in the Air Force during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans organization and of the American Legion. He owned and operated a service station in Danville until becoming unable to work in 1946. He professed Christian faith while in the VA Hospital in Little Rock in 1951.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Beth Ashley Herring; two brothers, Walton Herring of Alexander and Herstle Herring of Danville, and his father, Herbert Herring of Danville.

Herstle H. "Buck Herring, age 78, of Danville, AR died Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Hethcoat, J. D. (Rev.)

Rev. J. D. Hethcoat, age 86, of Danville, AR died Monday, October 22, 2001 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was a son of the late Tom and Zula Morris Hethcoat, born July 16, 1915 at Clarendon, AR. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, a retired County Agent, a retired USDA Poultry Inspector and a U. S. Army Air Force Veteran of WWII. He was an ordained Baptist Minister and had served as a volunteer with the Southern Baptist Convention Home Mission Board. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville and had also taught Sunday School at the Mitchell Nursing Home in Danville for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Hethcoat and a son John Alan Hethcoat.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and June Hethcoat of Rogersville, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Dr. Forrest Moudy of Danville, AR and Eva and Johnny Holley of Little Rock, AR and seven grandchildren, Daisey & Joshua Hethcoat, Ross, Susan & Marcus Moudy and Jason & Lance Holley.

John A. Hethcoat of Little Rock died Wednesday, October 1, 1980 in a car accident on I-40 near North Little Rock. He was 20 years of age, an employee of River City Printing Co. in Little Rock, a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville and Arkansas National Guard.

He is survived by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. D. (Margie) Hethcoat of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Forrest (Sandra) Moudy of Danville and Mrs. Johnny (Eva) Holley of Little Rock and one brother, Larry Hethcoat of Rogersville, MO.

Funeral services were Friday, October 3 at the Danville First Baptist Church with burial in the Earl E. Ladd Cemetery of Danville. Hethcoat, Marjorie

Marjorie Hethcoat, age 73, of Danville, AR died Monday, December 4, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Paul R. and Margarete Saur Hulett; she was born December 23, 1926 at Shreveport, LA. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Danville First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Alan Hethcoat and a sister, Else Leadaman.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, J. D. Hethcoat; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and June Hethcoat of Rogersville, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Dr. Forrest Moudy of Danville, AR and Eva and Johnny Holley of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Valeria Leadaman of Shreveport, LA and Pauline Langner of Uvalde, TX and seven grandchildren, Daisey & Joshua Hethcoat, Ross, Susan & Marcus Moudy and Jason & Lance Holley.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM Wednesday, December 6 at the First Baptist Church, Danville, with Rev. Bobby Walker and Rev. Jimmy Holmes officiating. Hetland, Jeffrey Alan

Jeffrey Alan Hetland, age 45 of Dardanelle died Sunday, December 25, 2005 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born December 1, 1960 at Webster City, IA to Sharon and Vernon Hetland. He graduated from Ames High School in Ames, IA, attended Arkansas Tech University and UCA in Conway where he received his Masters Degree. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Russellville.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Silas and Beatrice Hetland and an uncle, Rodney Ruhl.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Champion Hetland of Dardanelle; son, Aaron Silas Hetland of Dardanelle; mother and stepfather, Sharon and Lyle Hawkins of Webster City, IA; a half sister, Dawn Hetland of Des Moines, IA; two stepsisters and their husbands, Suzanne and Richard Gatewood of Russellville, Cindy and Michael Farzley of Little Rock; maternal grand-parents, Carl and Gwyn Ruhl of Dardanelle; Uncle David Ruhl and wife Connie of Dardanelle, Uncle Jerry Ruhl of Blairsburg, IA, brother-in-law, Tom Champion and several cousins.

Hettinga, Robert K.

Robert K. Hettinga, age 65, of Dardanelle, AR, died Monday, May 19, 1997 at the University Medical Center in Little Rock. He was a son of the late Reimer and Jennie Sjoerdsma Hettinga and was born in Wausau, Wisconsin. He was a retired administrator of the First Baptist Church, Russellville, a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist, a member of the Board of Director of the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home and a member of the Arkansas Valley Woodcarver's Association.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Hettinga; one son and daughter-in-law, Randall W. and Sheila Hettinga of Danville, AR; one daughter, Melanie Posey of Russellville; three brothers, Roy Hettinga of Jenison, MI; Andrew Hettinga of Hatley, WI and Floyd Hettinga of Grandville, MI; one sister, Emma Dyke of Wyoming, MI; three grandchildren, Zachary Hettinga, T. J. and Luke Posey.

Johnny Marvin Hewitt, age 64, of Springfield died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at his home. He was born May 16, 1949 at Jonesboro to the late Jesse Henry and Verna Hufford Hewitt. He was of the Church of Christ Faith, he loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Hickerson, Mary Ella (George)

Mary Ella Hickerson, 86, passed from this life on April 18, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mary was born on October 5, 1927 in Centerville, Arkansas to Walter "Bill" and Lexine (Cofer) George. She was a Buyer for Dillard's Department Store. Mary met and married James V. Hickerson on December 18, 1946 in Dardanelle, Arkansas and they shared many memorable years together until his passing in 1984.

She is also preceded by her parents; and brother, John George.

Hickey, Doris

Doris Hickey, age 80, passed away November 4, 2009 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was a beautician at Doris Beauty Shop for 50 years. At one time she managed the Dardanelle Country Club. She was a dedicated hardworking business woman that will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, William L. Hickey; her parents, Bill and Jewell Hundley; two brothers, Jack Hundley and Gordon Hundley; one daughter-in-law, Pamela Hickey. Her survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Hickey Jr. of Southlake, TX, Kim and Brenda Hickey of Dardanelle; three grandchildren, JJ and Monica Hickey of Dardanelle, Brooke and Justin Bull of Dardanelle, Ross Michael Hickey of Houston, TX; two great grandchildren, Jett and Scout Bull of Dardanelle; several nieces, nephews and many great friends.

Hickey, John Ed

John Ed Hickey, 73, of Centerville died Sunday, December 20, 2009. He was born September 25, 1936 in Bullfrog Valley, AR to the late Noel and Lois Lovelady Hickey.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Hickey; two siblings, Ralph Hickey. of Russellville, Lou Verdell Meadows of Dover; two sons, John Mark and wife, Susie Hickey of Pottsville, Michael and wife, Crystal Hickey of Mt. George; seven grandchildren, John Mark Hickey of Harrman, Gary Hickey of Pottsville, Felicia Hickey of Pottsville, Ashlyn Hickey of Mt. George, Chase Hickey of Mt. George, Haliegh Hickey of Waldron, Liz Romine of Atkins; three great-grandchildren, Abby Hickey of Hartman, Gabe Hickey of Hartman, Kate Harrell of Atkins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Carson Hickey of Tacoma, WA; a sister, Norma Ruth Duncan of Tacoma, WA; a stepson, Rob Romine of Dardanelle.

John Ed graduated from Dover High School in 1954. He was a Korean War Veteran, he served in the US Army from 1954 to 1957 and after he was discharged he went to work for the Standard Rendering Plant in Russellville where he quickly learned all aspects of plant maintenance. In 1970, John resigned from Standard Rendering and founded Hickey Maintenance Inc. He started his company as the only employee and grew the organization into a company that at one time had over 100 employees. In 2001 John retired from the plant maintenance business after a very successful 31 years. At that point John then became very active in the cattle and hay business where he worked until his death. John also had a deep love for music and his guitar.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, December 23, 2009, 10:00 a. m. at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Dr. Jeff Paxton and Bro. Wiley Jones officiating. Hickey, Johnnie Mae Bubs

Johnnie Mae Hickey "Bubs" born December 21, 1928, passed away June 9, 2004, at Baylor Medical Center, Garland, Texas where she made her home for the past 33 years. She graduated school in Ola, Arkansas where many friends and relatives still reside.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Don Dixon and Melvin Dixon of Ola; Ted Dixon of Texas; her sisters, Floy Freeman of Texas; Evelyn Gershner and Margarette Dodd of Little Rock and her parents, Melvin Earnest and Marjorie Dixon of Ola. She will be remembered by the people whose lives she touched as a very special lady, always finding good in others.

She is survived by her husband, John Hogan Hickey, her daughter, Marlena Riordan and husband, James; her son John Gordon Hickey and wife, Pamela; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind two sisters, Celeste Stewart and Billie Shelton of Texas and one brother, Jim Bill Dixon of Arkansas.

Services were held June 12, 2004 at Charles W. Smith Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Sachse, Texas with Interment in Sachse Cemetery. Perry Hickman, age 93, of Danville, AR died Thursday, March 12, 1998 at Mitchell Nursing Home in Danville. He was born July 6, 1904 in Searcy County; he was the son of the late John Amos and Ella Weaver Hickman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Hickman; three sons, Loyd, Wilburn and Johnny Hickman; two daughters, Jewell Frequaita and Evelyn Klober and two brothers, Carl and Henry Hickman.

Survivors include a daughter, Dovie McCallum; a step-son, Bobby Brown of Oklahoma; a sister, Sena Brown of Russellville; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Billie Swilley Hicks, age 80, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at Conway Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Violet Stanley Swilley; four brothers, Chuck Knoye, David Swilley, Dale Swilley and Johnny Swilley; and a sister, Marie Guilda.

Survivors include two daughters, Freda Hicks and Karen Standridge of Dardanelle; two sisters, Frances Fink of Leander, TX, and Rachel Tilmon of Dardanelle; and many nephews, nieces, and lots of special friends.

Brenda Kay Hicks, age 63, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, October 14, 2014. She was born August 14, 1951 at Houston, Texas. She loved reading, going to auctions and planting flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Luther Hicks Sr; one son, Edward Luther Hicks Jr; one brother, Carl Fergason and one great grandson, Ethan Lee Hicks.

Survivors include five children, Eugene Morgan and wife Terrie, Cynthia Gist and husband Wayne, Johnny Paul Hicks and wife Lea Ann, Brian Hicks and wife Angela all of Dardanelle, Trina Herring and husband Jerry of Atkins; one brother; one sister, twenty three grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 17, 2014 at Petillo Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
