Karen Sue Heath after 57 of Dardanelle died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born July 7, 1948 at Malvern to JC and Irene Powell Fuller.
She is preceded in death by her father, JC Fuller.
Survivors include two sons, Terrence Romero of Denver, CO, Walter Corley of Brickey, AR; daughter, Larena Jorden of Russellville; sister, Carmen Hobgood of Malvern.

Ratha Mae Heath, age 88 of Delaware, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Russellville. She was born February 12, 1915 in Logan County, Arkansas to the late Az and Dolly Berry Garner. She was a homemaker and mother and a retired cook. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Heath; two brothers, Pady Garner, Jeff Garner; two sisters, Mable Whitecotton, Flossie Tucker and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Heath.
Survivors are one son, Robert Heath of Delaware, three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Cletus Cravens of Subiaco, Margaret Frost of Ashdown, Judy and Keith Cravens of Delaware; two sisters, Mattie Huff and Ima Robinson both of Dardanelle; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Services were held Thursday, May 22, 2003 at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Bro. Jeff Cravens and Rev. Wiley Jones officiating. Willie Lavoid Heath, age 84, of Russellville went to be with his Heavenly Father after a long courageous battle with lung cancer and Alzheimer's at the home of his daughter with his family around him. He was born June 25, 1923 at Dardanelle to the late William and Ludie Morris Heath. He was a WWII Army Veteran and retired from the Corp. of Engineers.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, John, Edgar, Loyd and Floyd Heath; three sisters, Eleanor Darby, Illarea and Vera Ann Heath.

DARDANELLE - Edgar Heathcock, age 89, of 107 North Third, Dardanelle, died Saturday, September 20, 1986 at Veterans Administration Hospital at Little Rock. He was a former employee of Tar Paper Mill at Los Angeles, Calif. a veteran of World War I, a member of the Liberty Grove Assembly of God Church and the American Legion and son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Heathcock.
Survivors inelude two sons, Truman Virgil Heathcock of North Little Rock and Bobby Lee Heathcock of Stockton, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ethelene Scroggins of Perryville, Mrs. Wilma Foldoe of Dardanelie and Mrs. Lillian Bonezy Dickson of Russellville; a brother, John Lee Heathcock of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Annie Gaston of Derby, Kansas; 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.

Johnathen Hebert, age 8, of Dardanelle, AR died Sunday July 29, 2001 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. He was a son of Dan Hebert of Dardanelle and Regina Bolts and Brad Mobley of Dardanelle, AR. He was born November 8, 1992 in Russellville, AR. He was a third grade student at the Dardanelle Elementary School.
In addition to his parents survivors include his maternal grandparents, Johnny Bolts of Gurdon; and Roger and Jerry Taylor of Plainview, AR; his paternal grandparents, Norman and Elaine Hebert of Crawford, CO and a great-aunt Mary Sue Smith of Plainview, AR.

Martha "Shorty" Heck, age 76 died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Paris Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 27, 1934 at Sulphur Springs in Yell County to the late Ashley and Opal Applegate Phillips.
Survivors include a son, Trinity James of Texas; brothers, Paul Phillips of Ola, Gilbert Phillips of Mt. Atha Dell Hedden, age 77, a resident of Russellville, AR died Friday, September 8, 2000 at Baptist Memorial Hospital at Little Rock, AR. She was born April 2, 1923 at Briggsville AR the daughter of the late Hardy and Rebecca Jane Mathis. She was a teller and bank auditor with 20 years experience at Great Western Bank in Arizona and First National Bank of Russellville from 1979 until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Business & Professional Women, First National Bank VIP club and the Seroptimist Club. She was a member of the Widowed Person's organization and Pope County Extension Homemakers and the Democratic Women's organization. She was also a long time volunteer for the American Red Cross. A member of the First Baptist Church of London, she served as the pastor's secretary for several years and was active in the Ukelele band and a teacher of the Harmony class Sunday school.
She was the widow of the late James Burlie Hedden and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Howard G. Newkirk; two brothers, Bob and Thomas Mathis and five sisters, Pearl Carpenter, Vera English, Martha Sides, Johnnie Scifers and Ila Reece.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mathis Glenn and Helen Newkirk of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Esther Hunnicutt of Hot Springs, AR and numerous nieces, nephews and host of friends.

Dr. William A. Heffelfinger, 88, of Fayetteville died Monday, January 27, 2003, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born January 2, 1915, in Miller County, to Agnew T. and Myrtle Oneita Witter Heffelfinger. After his mother's death he was raised by his father with the help of his two older sisters. He was educated in Washington County public schools and the University's High School. Later he attended the University of Arkansas College of Business Administration, where he earned a bachelor's degree in public administration, a master's degree in business administration and his doctorate in finance and economics. During his teen years he was a caddy at the Fayetteville Country Club. He developed his passions for golf and tennis, which carried over throughout his active years. He lettered while playing on the University of Arkansas tennis team during his undergraduate years. He was a former member of the North Hills and Fayetteville Country Clubs. Dr. Heffelfinger was the associate director of the Industrial Research and Extension Center and professor of business administration. His service with the University extended over a period of more than 40 years; interrupted only by a few years in the U.S. Army during World War II and one year on the staff of Washington University in St. Louis. He was primarily concerned with the production and dissemination of business and economic information related to Arkansas' economic development since 1958. At the time of his transfer to the Center in 1965, he had been in charge of the Bureau of Business and Economic Research in the College of Business Administration in Fayetteville for several years. In addition to his administrative duties, he was coordinator of the investigative and related public service efforts of the research staff at the Industrial Research and Extension Center. Dr. Heffelfinger's own field of specialization was finance and economics, with emphasis on regional and small area development. His personal work has involved participation in numerous research projects for Arkansas, including studies on the Buffalo National River, the Arkansas River Region and the Pulaski-Saine Metropolitan area. In addition, he published reports on Travelers and Arkansas Business, Arkansas Economics, County Income Estimation Methods and a variety of articles on Arkansas business conditions. His doctoral dissertation was titled Capital Formation Through Local Government Bond Issues; and teaching assignments were in commercial banking, public finance, current economic problems and regional economic research. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Heffelfinger was on the staff of the University's central business offices, serving successively in purchasing, treasury and controllership functions. In 1951, he joined the UA Agricultural Mission to Panama, a foreign aid project which lasted until 1956. He was the mission's executive officer and also served as a management advisor to Panama's Ministry of Agriculture and to its Controller General's office. He retired June 30, 1982, with the rank of Emeritus Professor of Finance which he earned by his faithful and effective service of 33 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Charley Lee Bird Heffelfinger; his parents; and two older sisters, Eunice and Elizabeth Heffelfinger.
Survivors include a cousin, John Heffelfinger of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters-in-law, Valera Bird Marshall of Rover, Olene Bird of Gravelly and Nina Vedder of Wichita, Kan. He has five nephews and seven nieces and their respective families living in Pope and Yell Counties of Arkansas and in Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Nebraska and New Jersey. Although he had no children of his own, Bill was often involved with his nieces and nephews well-being, education and affording them opportunities. He was a member of the Fayetteville Central United Methodist Church. The family appreciates the services of the care providers, nurses and doctors over the last months. A very special thanks goes to his care companion, Ruth Quinones.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Gary B. Lunsford officiating. Calvin H. Heffington, age 86, of Van Buren, AR died May 5, 2001 in Fort Smith, AR. He was a retired Air Force Veteran serving in WWII, a member of the American Legion and the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his companion, Shirley Grath of Arvada, CO; four daughters, Pamela Cemodanous of Farmington, Maine, Judy Lennon of Plymouth, Mass. Dr. Claud Scott Heffington, 33, died at Ft. Smith November 11. Dr. Heffington, a native of Havana, was a member of the American Medical Association, the Arkansas Psychiatric Association, Arkansas Mental Health Association, was a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Medicine and a captain in the Army Reserve.
He is survived by his wife, Ona, and one son, Scott Earnest of the home in Ft. Smith; his father Claud Heffington of Havana; stepmother, Mrs. Margie Heffington of Havana; stepbrother, Odean Parker, and stepsister, Mrs. Rita Yandell both of Havana.

Opal Evelyn Heffington died April 21, 2005 at the MediHome Nursing Home in Fort Smith, AR at the age of 97. She was born November 1, 1907 to the late Aristabulus and Julia Ann Roberston Heffington.
She was preceded in death by a sister Edna and three brothers, Barney, Harvey and Calvin Heffington. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She attended State Teachers College in Weather-ford, Oklahoma and taught School at the Harkeys Valley Tech, at New Blaine, AR. She retired from the Santa Rosa General Hospital, San Antonio, TX.
Survivors are nieces, Mary Blecher of Chickalah, Rebecca Kilgore of Fort Smith and Betty Young of Fort Worth, TX and several great nieces and nephews. Joyce Helen Heflin, age 85, of Dardanelle died Monday, November 9, 2001 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born February 23, 1916, at Dardanelle and was the daughter of the late Jack Burkes and Stella Holloway Burkes and was a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Earl Heflin; and a daughter, Mary Nell.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Fronsie Heflin of Carl Junction, Mo. James and Shirley Heflin of Delaware, Joe and Connie Heflin of Dardanelle; a sister, Betty Hamilton of Dardanelle; a brother, James Burkes of Little Rock; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday, November 12, 2001 at 10:00 a. m. at the Dardanelle Funeral Service with the Rev. Floyd Ervin officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Dardanelle Funeral Service. Aulton William Hefner, 86, of Carlsbad New Mexico, formerly of Danville passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his home. He was born to Lovic W. and Dovie (Power) Hefner in Danville, Arkansas on July 3, 1926. He attended school in Danville, Arkansas and then served in the US Army in WWII European Theater during 1944-1946. He married Frances Horn in 1946 in Carlsbad, NM and to this union a son, Garry Lynn and a daughter, Lynda were born. Aulton purchased and operated the El Rancho Package Store and Lounge on South Canal Street in Carlsbad and also worked for PCA/US Refinery. He sold his business in 1985 and retired. Aulton married Elaine Ator on March 20, 1991. He was a giving, caring person who enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid gardener, winning Gardener of the Year awards at the Eddy County Fair in New Mexico. Aulton was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Downtown Lions Club and the BPOE Elks, Lodge # 1558.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances in 1989.
Survivors are his wife, Elaine Hefner of the home; son, Garry L. Hefner of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Lynda Summers of Ruidoso, NM; grandson, Jon Summers of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughter, Amy Brannon and two great-grandchildren: Alexandria Massey and Ryan Massey all of Russellville, AR and extended family.

Lovic William Hefner, age 87, of Danville died Thursday, March 23, 1989 at the Yell County Hospital. He was a native of the Macadonia Community and a retired Hotel and Motel Owner.
Survivors include his wife, Dovie Power Hefner; one son, Aulton Hefner of Carlsbad, NM; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Willie Dean Hefner, 51, of Atkins, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at St. Marys Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born February 11, 1961, in Morrilton, the daughter of Dave Owens and Joyce Vaughn. She attended Bells Chapel Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Traci Woodall of Atkins; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer and Daniel Davis of Havana and Jessica Vaughn of Dardanelle; five grandchildren, Tyler Vaughn, Amberley Vaughn, Chase Vaughn, Blake Vaughn and Canyn Thompson; mother, Joyce Willis of Pottsville; four sisters, Missie Vaughn of Belleville, Judy Lyons of Pottsville, Teresa Willis of Havana and Bridgett Willis of Conway; brother, Shorty Willis of Conway; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mable Louise Hegeman, 76, of Atkins, AR died Monday, December 25, 2006 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Morrilton. She was born October 21, 1930 in Atkins and was the daughter of the late Carl and Dora Vann Stubbs. She was a member of the Atkins Church of the Assumption and was known for baking for all fundraisers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Hegeman, a grandson, Austin Hegeman, four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William (Bill) and Linda Hegeman and, Blaine and Sheila Hegeman; three daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Terry Foster, Kathy and Keith Shipley and Nancy and Victor Hicks, all of Atkins; one brother, Raymond Stubbs of Atkins; four sisters, Helen Haney Winton of Springdale, Evelyn Bauman of Atkins, Carlene Austin of Atkins, Mary Ann Lollis of Morrilton, 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Wanda Ann Jones Heier, age 70, of Tillar, AR, departed this life in Little Rock, AR on April 26, 2007. Wanda was born December 10, 1936 at Gravelly, AR (Yell County). She was the daughter of the late H. C. (Buck) and Velma Kitchens Jones. Wanda was a Baptist, a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, and employed by Bassett for twenty-five years as a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Cottrell.

Herman Hemmitt, Jr. age 79, a resident of Russellville, AR died Sunday, June 18, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville, AR. He was born on January 4, 1921 at Dardanelle, AR to Herman Sr. and Ora (Roland) Hemmitt. He finished high school at Douglas High School at Dardanelle, AR and then he graduated from Philander Smith College at Little Rock, AR. He was a Concert Pianist having performed on Broadway in New York City and performed worldwide concerts. He loved gospel music and was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Isaac Hemmitt.

Carl Henderson, age 79, of Belleville, husband, father and peepaw to Alex entered into his heavenly home on July 6, 2012. He was born in Cleveland, Arkansas on February 24, 1933 to the late Alonzo & Alma Flowers Henderson. He was a member of the John Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Belleville. Preceded in death by his mother and father and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jean Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Teshia and Kurt Radcliff of Danville; grandson, Alex Radcliff; his little companion "Molly" the daschund. Five children that live out of state, two brothers and one sister of Morrilton, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
