Dr. Orvall C. Greene, age 82, of Little Rock, died September 13, 1988 at his home in Little Rock. He was a retired dentist and a veteran of W. W. II. He was the son of the late Oscar L. and Maggie Greene of Plainview.

Gary Greenfield, age 58 of Havana died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Morrilton. Born February 13, 1951 in Danville, he was the son of the late Norman and Pauline Swaim Greenfield. He was a construction worker for Mobley Contractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Greenfield; brother-in-law, Bobby Cooper; grandson, Curtis Taylor; and great-grandson, Joseph Quijada.
Survivors included his wife of 20 years, Jaquita McClellan Greenfield; sons, Michael Greenfield of Ft. Pauline W. Greenfield, age 84, of Havana, AR died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville, AR. She was born in Yell County on April 6, 1922, a daughter of the late William and Eva Cherry Swaim. She was a homemaker and a member of the Havana First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman Greenfield; a son, Wayne Greenfield; a son-in-law, Bobby Cooper and two brothers, Kermit and Billy Swaim.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Jaquita Greenfield, Tommy and Sue Greenfield all of Havana, AR and Jimmy and Mary Margaret Greenfield of Vancouver, WA; two daughters, Linda Cherry and Debbie Cooper both of Havana, AR; three sisters, Irene Chambers, Ozell Apple and Maggie Sue Chambers all of Havana; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was March 6, 2007 at the Havana First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Bird officiating. Burial was in the Havana Cemetery. Leon Greenhaw, age 68 of Magazine, AR, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 in Bonneville after a long battle with cancer. He was born July 25, 1941 in Mt. Judea, AR to Alva Houston and Marie (Holt) Greenhaw. He loved camping and fishing and was of the Assembly of God Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice Todd; brother, Hershel Greenhaw.

Zeffie Montoria McKinney Greenlee passed away on February 8, 2016, at Golden Acres Nursing Home in Dallas, Texas. She was 102 years old. She was born in Stafford, Arkansas to Willie P. and Rhoda Robinson McKinney on July 24, 1913. She was a member of the first graduating class at Belleville High School in 1931. She enjoyed attending the Homecoming held at the old Belleville High School each September and only missed a few of them. Each year she was honored as the oldest graduate. She and her husband, Elige Volley "Pete" Greenlee, ran the gas station on Highway 10 that is now know as Knights Station. However, they moved to Dallas, Texas, after their daughter Paula Annette Greenlee married Johnny Farnsworth and they resettled there.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband E.V. Greenlee; her sisters Muriel Harrod, Bonnie Sue Swain and Lawanna Patton; her daughter Paula Frazier, her nephew Randy Swain and niece Linda Harrod.
She is survived by her granddaughter Dena Farnsworth; great granddaughter Shelby Patterson; son-in-laws Johnny Farnsworth and Luke Frazier; and nephews Tommy, Ricky, Billy Jack and Jimmy Harrod and their families.

James W. "Toots" Greenwood, age 72 of Dardanelle, AR died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born June 22, 1928 in the Mt. George community, Yell County, AR to the late Hardin and Hettie E. Garner Greenwood. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, serving for ten years. He was a retired carpenter and a Baptist. He was the proud father of Jamie who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Oliver Greenwood and Jack Greenwood and one sister, Macie Pickens.
Survivors are one sister, Mary Scott of Little Rock, AR; a sister-in-law, Lucille Greenwood of Mt. George; six nephews and nieces; several great-nephews and nieces and a host of friends and family at the Dardanelle Nursing Center.

Lucille Greenwood, age 76 of Dardanelle, died Saturday, June 29, 2002 at Dardanelle Hospital. Born October 23, 1925, at Chickalah, she was the daughter of the late Charlie L. and Macie Garner George, a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville and was a nurse's aide for 20 years at the Dardanelle Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver E. "SON Greenwood.

Oliver E. "Son" Greenwood, age 84, of Mt. George, AR died Thursday, January 29, 1998 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was born January 27, 1914 in Chickalah, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Harden and Hettie Garner Greenwood. He was a member of the 153rd Arkansas National Guard and when it was mobilized in 1940 he fought in WWII in the Aleutian Islands receiving the Bronze Service Star after he was honorably discharged in 1945. He was a member of Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141, attended the First Baptist Church, Centerville, AR, and was a retired carpenter who helped build the Dardanelle Lock and Dam and farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucille George Greenwood; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Larry Johnson of Mt. George and Linda and Frankie Pennington of the Omega Community; a brother, James Greenwood of Dardanelle; a sister, Mary Scott of Little Rock; grandson and wife, David and Kacey Johnson of Mt. George; a granddaughter & husband, Kim and Johnny Judkins of Mt. George and granddaughter, Salli Anne Smith of Jonesboro; one great granddaughter, Macey Elizabeth Judkins of Mt. George; also are several nephews and nieces.
Service was Saturday at the 1st Baptist Church of Centerville, AR with the Rev. Ed Larue officiating. Interment was in Dacus Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR. Nancy Jane (Geeo) Greer, 71, of Russellville, formerly of Waveland, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Dardanelle Nursing Center in Dardanelle. The daughter of Verlon and Erma (Rankin) Geeo, she was born September 14, 1932 in Kemp, Texas. She married Dayton Otho "Rusty" Greer on March 16, 1957 at Clute, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Russellville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Richard Charles Greer, age 68, of Dardanelle died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at UAMS. He was born March 12, 1946 at Tulare, California to the late Elton Ford and Joan Margery Clubb Greer. He was a Christian and of the Baptist Faith and a United States Army Veteran. He loved to go bowling, hunting fishing and spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Douglas.

John Thomas Gregg, 81, of Plainview, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2004. He was born October 23, 1923 to James Earl and Mae Ruth Walls Gregg. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 30 years of service, was a Navy veteran of World War II and attended Ola Assembly of God Church.

He married Joyce Renfroe Grigsby, on December 9, 2005 in Dover, Ar. He was a member of the Full Gospel Outreach Church in Russellville. He enjoyed singing, loved music, and fishing.

Charles Grigsby, 84, of Atkins, AR, died Friday, February 1, 2013 at Atkins Nursing Center. The son of Homer and Annie Grigsby, he was born March 20, 1928 in Dardanelle, Ar. He married Joyce Renfroe Grigsby, on December 9, 2005 in Dover, Ar. He was a member of the Full Gospel Outreach Church in Russellville. He enjoyed singing, loved music, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter; two sisters; two brothers; and his first wife Ila Grigsby. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Joyce Grigsby of Atkins; his daughter Vickie Sample & husband Mike of Marion; a grandson Chris Medlin & wife Shawna of Collierville, Tn; four step-daughters Debra Hall & husband Royce of Danville, Marci Kelly & husband Mike of Russellville, Lisa Vaughn & husband Phillip of Dover, and Joann Smith of Lamar; two step-sons Ricky Mahan & wife Debbie of Russellville and Larry Massie & wife Renae of Pottsville; 20 step grandchildren; 32 step great-grandchildren; three brothers Dean Grigsby & wife Mary of Russellville, Joe Grigsby & wife Ruth of Dardanelle, and Jerry Grigsby & wife Katheryn of Atkins; and many nieces and nephews.

James "Jim" Douglas Grigsby, age 89, of Danville, AR, formerly of Paris, AR died February 6, 1997 at Danville. He was, born April 22, 1907, in Driggs, AR to the late Charle and Symantha (Everett) Grigsby. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Benge Grigsby.
He is survived by six daughters, Exine Phillips of Magazine, AR, Maxine Dorrough of Dardanelle, AR, Sharlie Osborn of Ft. Smith, Mary Jo Grigsby of Danville, Carolyn Johnson of Kaukauna, Wisconsin and Barbara Jordan, of Danville; six sons, Donald, J. D. and Vondal Grigsby all of Hartman, Lloyd Ray Grigsby of Gray Summit, MO, Barney K. Grigsby of Danville and Michiel Grigsby of Boston, Mass; a sister, Heddie Prince of Oklahoma; a brother, Donnie Grigsby of Ft. Smith; 38 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ronnie, Jimmy Dean, Troy, Mike, Bobby and Donald Dean Grigsby. Honorary were grandsons.

Mary Jo Grigsby, age 67, of Ola, AR died September 25, 2010 in Danville, AR. She was born in Ratcliff, AR, July 14, 1943, to the late James Douglas Grigsby and Audie Marie (Benge) Grigsby. She was a seamstress and member of the First Apostolic Church in Hot Springs and Jesus Name Pentecostal Church in Plainview, AR.
She is survived by five sisters, Barbara Stegeman and Maxine Dorrough of Dardanelle, AR, Shirley Osborn of Plainview, AR, Carolyn Johnson of Kaukanna, WI and Exine Phillips of Magazine, AR; three brothers, Barney and Vondal Grigsby of Huntsville, AR and Lloyd Grigsby of Waynesville, MO.

Rita McLaughlin Grigsby, age 49, of Russellville, AR, lost a courageous battle of forty years of diabetes on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was a daughter of the late James Charles McLaughlin and the late Erma Loretta Hartpence McLaughlin, born October 6, 1952 in Akron, CO. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, a former bookkeeper for the Morrilton Security Bank and was a member of the Atkins Assembly of God Church. Her family is quoted as saying that one of her favorite hobbies was raising animals.
Survivors include, her son, Bryan Scott Keeney of Plainview, AR; her daughter, Mrs. Terry (Holly Katina) Curtis of Plainview, AR; her close companion, Steve Dixon of Morrilton; three sisters, Linda Morphis of Bryant, Sharon Wood of Conway and Coletta Kissinger of Cocoa Beach, FL and two granddaughters, Katina Tatelynn and Claire Elaine Curtis both of Plainview.

Mrs. Eunice Grinder, 71, widow of the late Roseoe Grinder, died at a Russellville hospital June 24. She was a member of the Ola Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Opal, of New Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Jewel Hampton of New Mexico and Mrs. Lorene Potts of Ola; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Bearden of Kansas and Mrs. Effie Lassley of Missouri; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Glen Floied of Memphis, driver of the other truck, was treated for minor injuries at a clinic in Ola and released. Mr. Grinder was a native of St. Joe, Ark., and had moved to Ola four years ago from Socorro, New Mex. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Methodist Church.

Isaac Newton Grist, aged 76, died in a Twin Falls, Idaho hospital October 23 after a short illness. He was a native of Havana and lived there until moving to Twin Falls in 1942. He operated a farm there until his death. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church.

John David Groom of Sikeston, Mo., a native of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, October 9, 1985, at Sikeston Convalescent Center. He was the son of the late Moses Moore and Virginia Goocher Croom, and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church at Sikeston. He served on the board of directors of Security Bank, Mercantile Bank and the New Madrid County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.

James Owen Earl Groos Jr., age 84, of Dardanelle died Friday, May 26, 2017, at Conway Regional Health Center. He was born March 27, 1933, at St. Charles, Missouri to the late James Owen Earl Groos Sr. and Alma Faye Hendricks. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dardanelle, where he loved to sing. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Geraldine Melton.
Survivors include four children, Sandi Short of Dardanelle, Debbie Barnett of California, Pam Bolen and husband Jerry of North Carolina, Kelly Carello and husband Joe of Pennsylvania; one sister, Billie Jean Moses of Missouri; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
