Birdie Gertrude Green, age 79, of Holly Springs, MS, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest B. & Sadie Jones; a brother, Ernest B. Jones, Jr. four sisters, Ada Sipes, all of Danville, Annie G. McCrary of Memphis, TN, Ernestine McCollum and Molly E. Jones both of Heth, AR; one grandson, Terry Shannon of Holly Springs, MS and one daughter-in-law, Donna Green of Nesbitt, MS.
Survivors are, her husband of 64 years, Clyde Green; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gertrude and J. E. Byard and Stella and Johnny Shannon all of Holly Springs, MS; two sons and daughter-in-law, Charles B. and Delores Green of Senatobia, MS and Billy C. Green of Nesbit, MS; four sisters, Lucille James and Ruthie James both of Danville, AR, Sadie Meyer of Lake Village, AR and Rosa White of Mena, AR; two brothers, Paul Jones of Blue Mountain, AR and Fred Jones of Lavaca, AR; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and in-laws. She will be remembered as the lady from Memphis, TN where she lived until 1999, who came and set up her flea market in her mother's yard at the intersection of Highway 27 and 80.

Catherine Ann Goatcher Green, age 69, of Ola died Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Deer View Nursing Home in Ola. She was born September 26, 1946, at Chicago, IL to the late Jesse and Anna Pernell Goatcher. She was a Christian and of the Free Will Baptist Faith. She loved arts and crafts, cooking and family get togethers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bobby Goatcher; two sisters, Anna Goatcher, Daisy Hall and a son-in-law, Robert Moye.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Green Sr of Ola; five children, Tammy Moye of Oklahoma, Toby Green (Carla) of Plainview, Jody Green of Hot Springs, Jerry Green Jr (Crystal) of Ola, Greg Green of Ola; two sisters, Louise Webster of Danville, Dorothy Heil of Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, with two on the way.

Mr. Clarence Lewis Green, age 85, was laid to rest January 29, 2002 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Walnut MS. Mr. Green died Sat. January 26, 2002 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. Mr. Green was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He received a full military burial. Clarence lived in Yell County for several years. He and his family raised chickens, and loved fishing. He also worked at Yell Co. Hospital (CMH).

Clyde Green, 94, of Holly Springs, MS died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at his home. He was a retired welder and a member of Hometown Pentecostal Church. Mr. Green loved his family, loved to play dominoes and fish.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Birdie Green and his daughter, Stella Shannon. Mr.

Delores Higman-Green, 69, formerly of Rover, Arkansas, died August 3, 2010, at Spring City, Tennessee. She was born May 29, 1941, the daughter of Paul and June Shriner. She married Johnny Higman on 01 Nov 1982. In 1994, she married Clyde Green, who survives of Missouri.

They were united in marriage on May 3, 1943 in Fayetteville, AR.

He was an Sergeant in the Army Korea War, and a power house mechanic for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, school board member for the Plainview/Rover School for many years. John was a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He and his wife were owners of K&G Station in Danville for14 years.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dora Leigh Furrow.

Kathryn Garner Green, 88, of Springfield, Missouri, received her victory in Christ on November 7, 2017. Kathryn was born to Clyde and Bertha Arnold Garner on July 5, 1929, in Nashville, AR. After graduating from Nashville High School, she attended nursing school at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock to become a Registered Nurse. Nursing and compassion for others were her greatest gifts. She married the love of her life, WJ Green, on September 9, 1950, in Nashville, AR. They soon moved to Ola, AR, and spent most of their lives contributing to that community. Kathryn was a nurse in Ola and Russellville before completing her career with many years at the Yell County Hospital. Kathryn was known for her love of family and her sense of humor. She also loved her church, Study Club, and friends.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, WJ Green; and son, William (Bill) Green.
She is survived by Bill's wife, Theresa Green; son, Jim Green; daughter, Jane and husband, Bob Buford; Grandchildren, India Green, Ashley Sowers and husband, Andrew, and Joshua Buford, and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, and Chloe.

She was born December 25, 1920 in Sayre, OK to the late Henry Horatio and Laura Ann Roach Griffin. She was a retired nurse's aide and ward clerk and a member of the Wilson Freewill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond Green.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rayvella and Doug Thayer of Havana; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dawn Green of Fayetteville, AR; brother, Sterling Griffin of Booneville; sisters, Mary B. McLaughlin of Minneapolis, KS, Loretta Greenwood of Booneville; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Michael Elgie Green, age 56 of Ola, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born March 23, 1951 in Danville, Arkansas to Noble & Sue Boss Green. He was a friend to everyone he met, he was always putting others needs first, always giving a helping hand to those who needed help.
He was preceded in death by his father Noble Green.
Survivors include his mother, Sue Boss Stanton of Ola; son, Guy Green; daughters, Connie Green & Amy Green; sisters, Jean Manser of Independence, MO, Pam Elliot of Roeland Park, Kansas; Cheryl Howard of Ola; several nieces & nephews; his loving companion, Velta Pickering of Ola.

Mrs. Ruby Hunt Green, aged 80, of Plainview died Monday. She was the widow of D.R. Green, a member of the Plainview Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service.

Samuel Cody Green, age 71, of Ola died Friday morning, November 12 at the St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. He was a native of Yell County, a son of the late Marshall and Rose Lee Green and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son John Green of Ola, one daughter, Mrs. Dora Leigh Furrows of Huntington Park, Calif.; one brother, Clinton Green of Ola; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Hall of Danville and Mrs. Myrtie Oglesby of Atkins; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the New Bethel Baptist Church monday afternoon by Rev. Thort Lee. Interment was at the New Bethel Cemetery. Terry Glenn Green, M.D. (or "Doc" as he is known by his grandchildren), age 69, from Mtn. Home, Arkansas died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Green grew up in Dewitt, AR. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1964 and joined the Marine Corps Reserves immediately thereafter. He completed basic training at Parris Island and infantry training at Camp Pendleton, where he achieved the "Expert Rifleman" award. Dr. Green fulfilled his Marine Corps Reserves obligations while attending the University of Arkansas and medical school, and was honorably discharged in 1972. Dr. Green also ran cross- country track at the U of A his freshman year. After receiving his medical degree from UAMS in Little Rock, Dr. Green completed his internship at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas,where he received the honor of "Outstanding Surgery Intern". He practiced general medicine in Dardanelle, AR and Clarksville, AR for three years and, afterwards, determined that he wanted to specialize in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Green completed his orthopedic residency at UAMS in 1979 under the direction of Carl Nelson, M.D. Dr. Green moved with his family to Searcy, AR, becoming the first orthopedic surgeon to live and practice in White County. In 1990, Dr. Green completed a spine fellowship in New Orleans under the direction of Henry LaRocca, MD, Editor-in-chief of the SPINE journal. Dr. Green practiced orthopedic surgery in Searcy, Dardanelle, Russellville, and Mtn. Home, AR. Throughout his career, Dr. Green was a member of several medical societies: American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Arkansas Medical Society, North American Spine Society, and a participant in Global Spine Congress organized by AOSpine. Dr. Green married Elizabeth Ann Hodges Green on June 15, 1974 in Dardanelle, AR. They have four grown children. He loved Jesus Christ and used the Bible as a guide for every aspect of his life. Dr. Green read and sought guidance from Spurgeon's Sermons, Billy Graham, and Dr. W.O. Vaught. Dr. Green was a member of The Gideons International while practicing in Clarksville, AR. He went on mission trips to Haiti, Kenya, and Russia. In his young adult years, he enjoyed teaching Sunday school at First Baptist Church in Dardanelle. When he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves, he had dreamed of being a jet pilot. He was quoted in Arkansas Medical News in 2010, "I thought I could go to college and get a commission and become a Marine Corps pilot. That never happened. I now fly my own Bonanza, and that's the closest thing to Top Gun I will ever be." He loved flying his Beechcraft Bonanza airplane and has earned his instrument rating and logged thousands of hours. Dr. Green's adventurous nature led him and his family on many trips to fascinating countries across the world. He loved to cook and had an uncanny ability to replicate his favorite savory dishes from any restaurant. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Adoring his own grandfather, Glenn Metcalf, Dr. Green wanted to be as good a grandfather as his own was to him. After the passage of healthcare reform, in 2010, Dr. Green became the only physician-candidate in Arkansas to make a bid for a seat in Congress. Family and close friends describe Terry as "wise," "funny," "smart," and "kind," and revere him for his quick wit and his brilliant, dry sense of humor. Dr. Green attended Christ Community Church in Mountain Home, AR. Preceded in death by his parents George Otis Green, Jr. from Stuttgart, AR and Doris Gwendolyn Metcalf Green from Dewitt, AR.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Hodges Green of Mtn. Home, AR; his children: Jenny Green Simpson and her husband Clay Simpson; Allison Green Frank and her husband Chad Frank; Curtis Jason Green; Hunter Bryce Glenn Green and his wife Kassie Thompson Green; his beloved grandchildren: Ava Elizabeth Simpson, Eliot Todd Simpson, Henry William Frank, Charlotte Elizabeth Frank, Emily Ann Green, and Harrison Glenn Green; his siblings: Robert Green, Gwendolyn Green Lum, Gay Green Ezzi, and Georgette Green Dunaway.

W.J. Green, 89, of Springfield, MO, formerly of Ola, Ark died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his home in Springfield, MO. The son of Virgil and Florence Green, he was born May 17, 1923 in Casa, AR. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a teacher, principal, and school superintendant. He was a member of the Arkansas Teachers Association, Ola City Council, and Ola Housing Authority. He was a member of the Ola Church of Christ and Sunset Church of Christ in Springfield, MO. He enjoyed Gardening, poetry, reading and building structures. He was also a Bible teacher and song leader for over 50 Years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters Edith Tanner, Dimple Gilley. and Octava Alexander. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Kathryn Dale Green; two sons, Bill Green and wife Theresa and Jim Green; daughter, Jane Buford and husband Bob; brother- in-law, Glen Gilley; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

Walter Herman Green, age 74, retired business man of Dardanelle, died September 6 at a Russellville hospital. He operated the Green Monument Company. Mr. Green was a native of Perry County, a son of the late William and Nancy Van Winkle Green. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. William D. Green, 74, retired section and extra gang foremen, died July 23 at his home at Blue Mountain. He was born in Tennessee, and started his railroad career with the Iron Mountain in 1809 and came to the Rock Island then the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf railroad in 1904, retiring in 1937. William Jay Green, 65, of Lake Charles, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born to W J and Kathryn (Garner) Green in Russellville, AR. Bill served in the National Guard, spent 32 years with Dow at three different locations, and taught electrical at Brazosport College for ten years. Bill truly loved the out-doors and his grandkids.
