James Herman Fields, Sr. age 77 of Ola died Friday, June 14, 2002 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola. Mr. Fields was born September 23, 1924 in Wynne, Arkansas to the late G. W. and Mildred Fields. He was a WWII Army veteran, a Mason and an agriculture salesman.
He was preceded in death by a brother, G. W. Fields.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Ruth Bozeman Fields; one son, James H. Fields, Jr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi; seven daughters, Marie Nevels of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Levonne Simmons of Pearl, Mississippi, Patricia Humphrey of Dermont, Arkansas, Deborah Parker of McGhee, Arkansas, Carolyn Dolph and Linda Rager both of Russellville, Arkansas, Ann Leach of Plainview, Arkansas; one sister, Estelle Marshall of Vicksburg, Mississippi; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Services were Monday, June 17, 2002, at Cornwell Chapel, Danville with Rev. Rick Burke officiating. Interment was in New Bethel Cemetery with military honors by Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141, Dardanelle. Larry Gene "Bubba" Fields, 67, of Russellville died Tuesday, May 2, 2017. He was born April 22, 1950, in Little Rock to Lawrence Eugene and Rose Kozak Fields. He attended Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Delena Napier Fields; and a nephew.
Survivors include his step-daughters, Aneva Crawley and MiLinda (Arthur) Jenkins; four granddaughters; three grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Shirley Fields; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jaynie and John Jones and Dawn Carter and Todd Hardy; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Shinn Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Martin Wayne Fields, age 44 of Russellville, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at his home. He was born July 19, 1965 at Little Rock to Ray and Fern Bethell Fields.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Fern Bethell.
Survivors include his children, Brandy Everette and husband Jason of Dardanelle, Jeffery Fields and Heather Fields both of Dover; one brother, Roy Bethell of Quitman; three grandchildren, Lane Everette, Dusty Everette and Waylon Everette all of Dardanelle.

Ruth Orine Fields, age 71 of Russellville, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at her daughter's home in Russellville. She was born January 2, 1932 in Arcadia, Louisiana to the late Thomas Gordon and Etta Leola Turner Bozeman. She was Certified Nurses Assistance for over thirty years in the nursing home industry, a homemaker, and mother and a member of the Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herman Fields, Sr.
Survivors are one son, James Fields, Jr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi; seven daughters, Patricia Humphrey of Belair, Arkansas, Deborah Parker and Carolyn Dolph, both of Russellville, Linda Rager of Nashville, Tennessee, Ann Leach of Plainview, Lavonne Simmons of Pearl, Mississippi and Marie Nevins of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one brother, James Bozeman of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters, Clydie Roberts of San Antonio, Texas and Leola Strozier of Ruston, Louisiana; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Janet Findley, age 92, of Russellville, AR went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. The daughter of Oze and Maude King Morphis, she was born July 8, 1914 in Pottsville. She married Earl Findley on November 8, 1929 in Russellville. Together they made their profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at the Liberty Grove Assembly of God Church in Russellville in 1936. They soon began holding revivals in brush arbors as brother Earl was called to the ministry. She and brother Earl pastored Assembly of God churches in the river valley for over 50 years. Brother Earl built the New Bethel Assembly of God in Russellville in 1939. Other churches included North New Hope at Dover and South New Hope and Sunny Point in Russellville. They also pastored the Assembly of God Church in Carden Bottoms. She worked at International Shoe Factory in Russellville for over 23 years. She was a member of the Liberty Grove Assembly of God and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and several brothers and a sister.
Survivors include a daughter Wanda Lee and Roy Tillman of Dardanelle; three grandchildren; a great grandson; two step grandchildren; two brothers, John Edward and Freddie Morphis TX and Kenneth Earl and Carol Morphis of Dover; a sister, Mary Ann and Bobby Stewart of Dover; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Kristopher Findley, 23 of Fortville, Indiana, died August 6, 2006 at his home. He was born October 3, 1982 in North Little Rock, AR to Terry L. Findley and Terry L. Goodson) Mosher. Kris was a 2001 graduate of Warren Central High School and was currently attending A Cut Above Beauty College. Kris worked as a housing framer.
He is survived by his wife, Brittany Sue Findley, whom he married December 20, 2004; a daughter Kristin Leeann Findley; unborn son Kristopher Lynn Findley; mother and father Terry Lee and Everett R Mosher; brother Jacob Austin Caldwell and father Gary L. Caldwell.

Edgar Lyle Fine, age 82, of Dardanelle, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at the Dardanelle Rehabilitation Center. He was born January 6, 1922 at Elmo, Missouri to the late Oliver Claude and Mary Jane Moffit Fine. He was a WWII Army veteran, a rural mail carrier and a member of the First United Methodist Church at Fairfield Bay, VFW Post 4513 at Fair Field Bay, and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, infant brother Fine, Orris and Fred Fine.
Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Marian Bowman Fine; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward & Shelly Fine of Crow Mt. Charles and Patricia Fine of Dardanelle, Andrew & Glenda Fine of Lawson, MO; three daughters and 1 son-in-law, Ulva Eldridge of Richmond, MO, Mary & Roland Loch of Pickering, MO, Joy Blocker of Cache, OK; one brother and three sisters-in-law, John Eva Fine of Hopkins, MO, Ardith Fine of Hopkins, MO, Youvaun Fine of Bedford, I A; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren, many nephews nieces.

George Fink, age 85, of Dardanelle, AR died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born July 7, 1916 in Havana, AR to the late Benjamin Franklin and Julia May Hodges Fink. He was a retired professor from Texas A&M University in Kingsville and a retired C. P. T. Pilot Instructor for the Army Reserves. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kingsville, TX, but attended the New Hope Baptist Church for the past 20 years. He was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Arkansas and Texas, Yell and Pope County Cattleman's Association, the Yell County Historical Society, the Civil Airpatrol in South Texas and Russellville and was a Mason for 50 years.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Calvin; two sisters, Henna Clark and Julia May Moore and one brother, Clarion Fink.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Fink of Dardanelle, AR; three sons and daughters-in-law, George Jr. and Tricia Fink of Bandera, TX, Paul Russell Fink of Dardanelle and Bruce Neil and Lisa Fink of Dardanelle, AR; one son-in-law, Bill Calvin of Raymondville, TX; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

One Killed, Four Hurt In Highway 10 Wreck Three cars were involved in an accident near Belleville last Saturday morning in which one man died and four persons were hurt. The three drivers were Hazel Wise of Belleville, Sanford Fink, 73, of near Havana and H. G. Lamar, about 50 of North Little Rock. Fink was dead upon arrival at the hospital in Danville and his wife was taken to a hospital in Russellville, where her condition was first listed as critical, but now as greatly improved.
Injured in the other car were H. G. Lamar and his two granddaughters, Beckie, 6, and Marlays, 8 of Fort Smith. They were treated at the hospital in Danville and later transferred to a Little Rock hospital. Duard Finkenbinder, 81, of Dardanelle passed away Saturday, January 21st at home. He was the son of the late Morris and Virginia Tharp Finkenbinder of Turnersville, Texas. He was a 1940 graduate of Dardanelle High School. Mr. Finkenbinder was founder and President of Yelco Agency, Inc. of Dardanelle and served eleven years in the National Guard 39th Infantry Division, Company F. He was a member of the Dardanelle First Freewill Baptist Church, Charter Member of the Dardanelle Jaycees, Universal Housing, and the Russellville Board of Realtors. He was a past president of the Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis International. He had a life-long interest in antique auto restoration and was a charter member of the Mid-America Old Time Auto Association.
Survivors are his wife and business partner of 59 years, Sue Armour Finkenbinder; three daughters, Deborah Seay and husband David of Dardanelle, Donna Nevill and husband Terry of Hot Springs, and Cathy Hansell and husband Terry of Dardanelle. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Amber Tuller of Seattle, WA, Jason Tuller of Chicago, IL, Garrett Hansell of Chicago, IL, Jacob Nevill of Little Rock, Blake Hansell of Dardanelle, Sarah Tuller of Fayetteville, and Dustin and Paul Nevill of Hot Springs; step grandchildren Dave Seay and Mary Seay Taylor and step great-grandchildren Tallulah and Clementine Taylor. DARDANELLE - Mrs. Virginia Finkenbinder, age 78, of Dardanelle died Saturday, December 6, 1986 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was a native of Turnersville, Texas, daughter of the late J. P. and Josephine Brenholtz Tharp, and a member of Turnersville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include four sons, Duard, Keith and Mike Finkenbinder of Dardanelle, and Kenneth Finkenbinder of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Nelda Walker and Amy Emerson of Fort Smith, and Bonnie Gentry of Charleston; 18 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harrier Utley Finley, aged 84, widow of Scab Finley, died June 22, at a hospital in Shreveport, La. She was a native of Pope County and a Methodist. She had been a resident of Ola many years before moving to Shreveport 23 years ago.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 24, at 1:30 p. m. at the New Bethel Church for Pfc. Allen R. Fisher whose body was returned from the Paestum Cemetery in Mt. Soprano, Italy for re-burial. Rev. George Findley of Havana was in charge of the service. The Plainview and Danville American Legion Posts will conduct military services.
Pfc. Fisher was born June 5, 1917 near Plainview and attended the Plainview High School. He enlisted in the Army on October 7, 1940 and was killed on August 9, 1943. He was serving with the Third Division.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fisher of near Plainview, two brothers, Harold Clyde, of the U. S. Army and Paul of home; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Eden, near Plainview and Jean of the home. Arvie Dee Fisher, age 82, of Russellville, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at his home. He was born in Pottsville to Thomas William and Lura Branscum Fisher. He was retired from Tyson Foods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Reba Fisher; two daughters and a son-in-law, Penelope Fisher of Russellville, and Lori and Chris Kamerling of Pottsville; one brother, James Ernie Fisher of Dardanelle; and four grandchildren, Tatiana Alvarez of Russellville, Chasity Kamerling, Carter Kamerling, and Jenna Kamerling of Pottsville.

Benjaman Rufus Fisher was born September 10, 1871 near Gilkey and died April 26, 1955 in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edith Norman, in Wagoner, Okla. at the age of 83. He married Lettie May Wall, September 20, 1894, who passed away in 1948. Three sons and one daughter also preceded him in death.

Christene Ina Fisher, 87, of Clarksville died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Stella Manor in Russellville. She was born August 29, 1926, in Danville, daughter of the late Harvey and Leeottia Mize George, and a graduate of Danville High School. She and her late husband, Robert L. Fisher, purchased the Johnson County Graphic in 1971 prior to purchasing the Herald-Democrat which they merged with The Graphic in 1974. Her beloved column, "Chris' Corner," appeared in The Graphic for a number of years featuring tales of her travels around the world as well as goings-on close to home. She was known as an avid runner, having won her age division in the Johnson County Peach Festival 4-Mile Race on three occasions, member of First Baplist Church of Clarksville, the American Business Women's Association, and Arkansas Press Women's Association, and recipient of the Arkansas Press Association's Golden 50 Award, former member of the Johnson County Health Foundation Board and an officer on the Clarksville-Johnson County Regional Chamber of Commerce Board. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Murlene F. George and Earnestene L. George; two brothers, Tommy Lee George and Chestene H. George; one nephew, Carroll Ray George; and one stepson, Bobby Fisher.
Survivors include one sister, Margaret J. Wylie and husband. Ronald M. Wylie, of Clarksville; one brother, Harvey E. George and wife, Sue George, of Alma; one stepson, David Fisher and wife, Mary Fisher, of Danville; one stepdaughter-in-law, Nina Fisher of Russellville; step- grandchildren, Davy Fisher of Rogers, and Tamara Morris, Teresa Ausborn and Chris Fisher, all of North Dakota; nephews, Matt Wylie of Clarksville and Christopher George of Fort Smith; niece, Marcia Fletcher of Fort Smith; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the First Baptist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Howard Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
