Crownover, Sarah Francis "Fannie"

Mrs. Sarah Francis "Fannie" Crownover, age 98, of Belleville died Tuesday, December 9, 1980 at Mitchell Nursing Home at Danville. She was the widow of Lee Crownover, daughter of the late John and Ida McClesky McClanahan, a retired teacher and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Belleville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Miss Mary McClanahan of Danville and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral was Thursday at Belleville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Marcia Crossman. Burial was in Lower Spring Creek Cemetery. Crownover, Sidney

Sidney Crownover was born Sept 26, 1910, near Belleville and died December 14, 1950, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the son of the late W. O. Crownover and Mrs. Nettie Crownover, who now lives in Norman, Okla.

Crownover, William "Bill" O.

William "Bill" O. Crownover, 76, of Idaho Falls, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at his home. He was under the care of Hospice Alliance. He was born May 1, 1932, in Belleville, AR, to Euel Frank Crownover and Joyce Farrow Crownover. He grew up in Belleville and graduated from Belleville High School in 1950. He served as a Sergeant at Fort Belvoir, Virginia from 1952-1954. He lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he worked with Douglas Aircraft Company; later, Topeka, Kansas; and in Idaho Falls where he worked for the INL from 1962 until he retired in 1999. He enjoyed horseback riding and training, carpentry, wood working, mechanics, photography, and making peanut brittle. He also enjoyed steer roping and earned "The Buckle" which is the highest honor among ropers.

He is survived by the following: daughter, Maria Jane Williams of Rudy, Arkansas; daughter, Annette (Barney) Barnett of Chandler, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Anna Jo Belden; and a brother, Thomas Crownover.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:30 p. m. on Friday, June 27, 2008 at Bill's home in Idaho Falls. Cruce, James Ross "Jimmy"

James Ross Cruce of Lonoke died June 5, 2011. He was born March 6, 1925, to Pryor and Alma Cruce. Jim was an active member for 52 years of Palm Street Church of Christ, where he served as an elder. He was owner of Lonoke Parts and Equipment Co. for 30 years. He is remembered by many for his weekly visits to the nursing home. He loved visiting with the residents and they enjoyed him. He also served in the Navy during World War II.

Survivors include one son Greg (Karen) Cruce of Springdale; daughters Phyllis (Larry) Cash of Lonoke and January (Danny) Hazelwood of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Scott (Tonya) Cash, Tammy (Anthony) Ponder, Ashley (Noah) Rabb, Stuart (Dylana) Cash, Amy Graham and Hunter Cruce; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Sammye McKinley Cruce, wife of more than 60 years; and Oza Belle Knox Cruce, wife of one year; a sister, Sallie Lee Caviness; and a brother Pryor Reed Cruce.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Lonoke Palm Street Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Cruce, Pryor Reed (Rev.), Jr.

The Rev. Pryor R. Cruce, 79, of Fort Smith died on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at a local hospital. He graduated from Morrilton High School, Hendrix College and Southern Methodist University. The Rev. Cruce was a retired minister serving in Swifton, Newport, Rose City UMC in Little Rock, DeQueen, College Hill UMC in Texarkana, Ark., Midland Heights UMC in Fort Smith, Wiggins UMC in Fayetteville, Huntington Avenue UMC in Jonesboro, Gardner Memorial UMC in North Little Rock and West Helena. He was a member of the Arkansas Conference of United Methodist Church and was a member of several conference committees, and was an active part of the Board of Ordain Ministries. He was active in Wesley United Methodist Church and was a member of the Win One Sunday school class. The Rev. Cruce was a former Scout Master with the Boys Scouts of America and was an active member in many historical societies throughout Arkansas and was involved in many organizations in the communities in which he lived.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pryor and Alma Cruce Sr.; and his sister, Sallye Caviness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial at Oak Cemetery under the direction of Putman Funeral Home, Fort Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; daughter, Pamela Cruce of North Little Rock; sons and daughters-in-law, Martin and Nancy Cruce of Little Rock, Daniel and Laura Cruce of Fort Smith, Steven and Karen Cruce of Dewey, Okla., and Kenneth and Elisabeth Cruce of Ozark, Mo.; grandchildren, April and her husband, Eric Sprague, Rachel Cruce, Logan Cruce, Amy Cruce, Jesse Cruce, Amanda Cruce, Andrew Cruce, Josh Burkhart and Taylor Cruce; brother and his wife, Jimmy and Sammie Cruce of Lonoke; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Debra Sue Crum, age 54, of Havana passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. She was born October 18, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late John Grady & Barbara Sue Corley Canada. She was a member of the New Life Outreach Church.

Faustino Balbuena Cruz, 32, of Danville, Arkansas passed from this life Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Danville, Arkansas where he had lived for seven years. He was born February 15, 1977 in Mexico City, DF the son of Marcos Balbuena and Isabel Cruz. He was employed by OK Food in Heavener, Oklahoma, a member of the Catholic Church of Saint Andrew in Danville, Arkansas.

He is survived by two sons, Marc Antonio, Leonardo David of VaraCruz, Mexico; his mother Isabel Cruz of Mexico City; two sisters, Isabel of Mexico City, Alejandra of Danville, Arkansas; one brother, Andres of Havana, Arkansas; paternal grandmother, Leonor of Mexico City; maternal grandparents, Leonel Cruz and Senorina Alonso of VeraCruz; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Elmer A. Cudd, age 78, of Ola died Wednesday, August 7, 1991 at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was a retired custodian and bus driver for the Ola School District and a member of O1a Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Barclay Cudd; a son, Elmer Cudd Jr. and his parents, Richard E. and Julia Robinson Cudd.

Bonnie Culwell, age 74 of Kansas City, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008. She was born June 4, 1934 at Omega, AR, the daughter of John William and Amanda Leona Ashlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Floyd, Kenneth, Charles, Johnny Lee, and Freddie Ashlin.

She is survived by her husband Bobbie Culwell; four children, Betty, Kathy, Terry, and Bobbie James; and four sisters, her twin, Birta, Marie, Maxine and Mary.

Culwell, Howard Medford

Howard Medford Culwell, Sr. age 78, of Ola, AR died Sunday, September 17, 2000 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. He was born September 21, 1921 in Imo, Searcy County, AR to the late Charles and Cloe Housley Culwell. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the VFW. He was a deacon and member of the First Baptist Church of Ola.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catha Lea Pennington Culwell.

Survivors are, his son, Howard M. Culwell, Jr. of Ola, AR; step-son, Dr. Jerry L. Potts of Little Rock, AR; stepdaughter, Marilyn McMillan of Cabot, AR; three brothers, Gilbert Culwell of Little Rock, AR, Gene Culwell and J. R. Culwell both of Hector, AR; three sisters, Eva Bower and Shirley Weatherly both of Russellville, AR and Nell Anderson of Hector, AR; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Cumbie, Sherman Leroy

Sherman Leroy Cumbie, age 48, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, May 29, 2002. He was born December 6, 1953 in Russellville. He was an Army veteran and employed by Tyson Foods, Dardanelle.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Vance Cumbie.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Bradbury Cumbie; his father, Gerald Archer of Kansas City, KS; his mother, Geraldine Smith Bush of Russellville and his adoptive father, James Cumbie of Dover; and three sisters, Beverly Cumbie of Little Rock, Tammy Cumbie of Abilene, TX and Sandra Warhurst of Dover and a number of nephews and nieces.

Graveside services were at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, June 1, 2002 at North New Hope Cemetery, Hwy 333 north of Dover with Rev. Joyce Turner officiating. Cumbie, Woodrow

Woodrow Cumbie, age 81, of Dardanelle, AR, died, Tuesday, September 13, 1994 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. He was a native of Aly, AR, son of the late James Henry Cumbie and the late Cordie McCormick Cumbie. He was a retired farmer and construction worker. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, a 32nd Degree Mason, being a member of Masonic Lodge No. 17 at Dover, was a member of the Western Arkansas Scottish Rite Bodies of Ft. Smith and the American Legion Post No. 20. He was a member of the Faith Church, Inc. in Dardanelle.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Willie Cumbie; a son, Herman Albert Cumbie; three brothers, George, Vestal and Burl Cumbie; and a sister, Ella Fay Houston.

Survived by his wife, Josephine Cumbie; two sons, James Cumbie of Little Rock and Paul Cumbie of Scottsville, AR; one daughter, Laverne Johnson of Dover; a stepdaughter, Claudette Spann of Texas; one sister, Mittie Slaughter of Dover; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Cummings, Jerry Arrand

Jerry Arrand Cummings of Danville, AR passed away November 25, 1997 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Little Rock from congestive heart failure. He was born April 8, 1942 in Cooper, TX to Arnold W. and Rubylee Davidson Cummings. He was a 1960 graduate of Cooper High School and attended Texas A&M University and worked in California and Arkansas as a machinist. He retired in 1994 from Grandeur Fastners in Danville, AR. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville.

He is survived by daughter, Kathleen Cummings of Danville; step-daughter, Michelle Allen of Danville; step-daughter, Jeannette Middleton of Poteau, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Norma Cummings of Garland, TX; sister and brother-in-law. Joy and Ron Hawkins of Lubbock, TX; father, A. W. Cummings of Wichita Falls, TX; four nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services were conducted by Delta Funeral Home on November 28, 1997 in the Chapel with Rev. Robert Baldridge of Greenville officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Cummings, Wanda L.

Wanda L. Cummings, Miami resident, died at home late Tuesday evening, July 29, 2008. She was 63. She was born December 31, 1944 in Phoenix, AZ to Boyd and Louise (Nance) Mason. She had resided in Miami since 2005, coming from Roland, OK. Prior to that, she lived in Danville, AR for several years. She worked as the manager of the Route 66 Motel in Afton.

She is survived by three daughters, Jeanette Mason and Kathleen Cummings, both of Miami and Michelle Mason of Catoosa; five brothers, Robert Mason of Grove, Don Mason of Albuquerque, NM, Edwin Mason of Spring Grove, PA, Hank Mason of Murphys, CA, and Ralph Mason of Anaheim, CA; a sister, Darlene Saum of Anaheim, CA and one grandson.

Cunningham , Arthur Loyd

Arthur Loyd Cunningham (1922 2009) - Loyd was born on August 25, 1922 and passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009.

He is survived by his wife Fretta.

Loyd was last known to be living in Plainview, Arkansas. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II where he received the Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, AP Theater Ribbon and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009, at the Plainview Church of Christ with Mr. Bob Fallen officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Veterans of Foreign War Boyce-Woods Post 3141, will be in the Salem Cemetery near Plainview, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Cunningham, Ethel (Cole)

Mrs. Ethel Cole Cunningham, 96, Dardanelle, died Monday, January 1, at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was a native of Dardanelle, a daughter of the late George and Frankie Love Cole, and the widow of Dr. Ben Cunningham. Mrs. Cunningham was the first woman from Yell County to be elected to public office. She served two terms in the state legislature and was on the board of trustees for Arkansas Polytechnic College, now Arkansas Tech University, Russellville, 16 years, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Cunningham is one sister, Mrs. William Doan, Dardanelle.

Cunningham, Flavel C. "Budgie"

Flavel Charles (Budgie) Cunningham passed away at the Ola Nursing Home on February 17, 2015. He was a member of the Plainview Church of Christ and was retired from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. He was born September 11, 1920 to the late Ervin and Mae Cunningham.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Author Lloyd Cunningham, Smokey Cunningham; one sister, Lorene Farris; two nephews, Jerry Farris and Larry Farris; two great nephews, Lance Cunningham and Robbie Crawford. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the "Signal Corp" during the war.

Survivors include one sister, Willene and husband, Hoyt Dale of Plainview; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Cunningham and Fretta Cunningham, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Plainview Church of Christ. Visitation was held Saturday, 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the church prior to the service. Fretta Cunningham, 90, of Plainview, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at the Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of the Plainview Church of Christ.

Cunningham, Jesse Matthew

Mr. Jesse Matthew Cunningham, aged 66 years, died in a Russellville hospital Monday, May 7th, 1951, after a long illness. Mr. Cunningham fell at his home and had been in the hospital several months. He was the son of the late E. W. and Mary Howell Cunningham, early settlers of Dardanelle. His mother was the first baby girl born in Dardanelle and his great grandfather, the late Dr. Matthew C. Cunningham, was the first mayor of Little Rock. Besides his widow, Mrs.

Lance Cunningham, age 19, of Plainview, AR died Friday, September 6, 2002 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR.
