Edgar N. Benefield, 94, of Ola died Tuesday, October 20, at Yell County Nursing Home at Ola. He was a retired farmer and a native of Centerville, son of the late Walter and Mary Petillo Benefield, and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist. Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Alfred Benefield.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sallie Daniels Benefield; four sons, Lamar, Floyd and Allen Benefield of Ola, and James Benefield of Plainview; two daughters, Virginia Parker and Sarah Dinnerville of Ola; two sisters, Leota Riddle and Ester Toft of Dardanelle; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for Estelle Eva Benefield, 68 year old Hodgens resident, was conducted Tuesday afternoon in the Hodgens Baptist Church. Rev.
Paul McDaniel officiated at the services, with burial in Heavener Memorial Park under direction of Dowden Funeral Home. Born in Arkansas, February 23, 1900, Mrs. Benefield had lived at Hodgens for 32 years where she was a member of the Baptist Church. She died at a Heavener nursing home November 23.

Faliece Benefield, age 79, died Saturday, February 10, 1996 at the Morrilton Manor Nursing Home in Morrilton. She was a native of Bluffton, AR (Yell County), and was a daughter of the late Lemuel Hardy Benefield and the late Vernetta Melissa Nettie Stout Benefield. She was retired from Morton Frozen Foods (now Con-Agra) and attended the Four Squares Gospel Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Butler.
Survivors include three sisters, Oma Lee Burns and Ruby Benefield both of Dardanelle and Billie Owens of Russellville and a nephew Jerry L. Caldwell of El Paso, TX.

James Keyton "Jim" Benefield, age 78, of Plainview, AR died Monday, January 30, 2006 at Chambers Memorial Hospital at Danville, AR. He was born December 15, 1927 in Centerville, AR to the late Edgar and Sally Daniel Benefield. He was a retired supervisor for Deltic Lumber.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Benefield.

Marvin. C. Benefield, age 101, a resident of Ola, died September 27, 2007, at his home. He was born September 18, 1906, in Briggsville to James and Agusta Smith Benefield. M. C. was retired from Shippers Ice and also had been a barber, truck driver, and mail man. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved gardening and telling friends and family stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret Benefield; his son, Bob Benefield; and all of his brothers and sisters.

He retired after nine years for the Ola School District maintenance department. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the Fisher-Law VFW Lodge #8525 in Plainview.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Benefield and James Benefield.

She was a home maker and a long time member of the Ola Freewill Baptist Church. She loved doing church activities and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Lee and Anna Lois Frost; husband, Cletus Venson Benefield; a granddaughter, Sarah Catherin Blankenship; three brothers, Walter, Robert and Lemoin Frost; one sister, Luna Burnett.
Survivors include four children, Mary Hedrick (Ray) of Tennessee, Catherin Blankenship (Bob) of Missouri, Lloyd Benefield of Ola, Johnnie Benefield (Terri) of Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Dr. Tiffany Hopper, Dr. Katie Beal, Kimberly Lawrence, Mercedes Powell, Kacie Watson, Johnathon Benefield, Jessica Jenkins, Brittany Benefield, Shelby Benefield and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the Ola Free Will Baptist Church with John David Keeling and David Riker officiating. Burial will be in Birta Cemetery. Rufus Benefield, age 77, of Bluffton, died Monday evening, December 22, 1976 at the Yell County Hospital. He was a native of Bluffton, a retired Farmer, the son of the late Jack and Betty Stockdon Benefield and was a member of the Bluffton Baptist Church.

Sallie F. Daniels Benefield, age 100, passed away Friday, May 19, 2000 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. She was born March 15, 1900 in Pulaski County, AR to the late Augustus and Eliza Goodson Daniels. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Nelson Benefield and a son, Charles Benefield.

Stephanie Michelle Benefield, 37, of Plainview, died Sunday, February 4, 2007. She was born December 11, 1969 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was a 1988 graduate of Plainview-Rover and, the administrative assistant at the Atkins Nursing Center.

Dentist From Fort Smith Drowns As Boat Capsizes At Nimrod - Dr. Charles W. Bennett, age 40, Fort Smith dentist drowned about 3 a.m. Tuesday when the boat in which he was fishing capsized on Lake Nimrod, near the Joe Bartlett landing. His body was discovered about 125 feet off shore in deep water at 11:30 a.m. A group of 40 men in approximately 15 boats tied together dragged the area where the tragedy occurred with grappling hooks until finding the body. Clifford "Bill" Bennett, age 77 of Havana, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born November 14, 1933 in Formosa, KS to the late Clifford H. and Leona Mae Phillips Bennett. He was a Navy Korean War Veteran, a retired iron worker, a member of the Havana Presbyterian Church, member of the California Iron Workers Local Union 433 and Dodge Brothers Antique Automobile Club.

Paul A. Bensch, a longtime resident of Redlands, died March 17 in Redlands, following an illness. Paul A. Bensch died peacefully on March 17, 2008 at 86 years of age. Born in Center, Arkansas, he moved to San Bernardino in 1940, where he worked for 40 years as a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad. A long-time resident, first of Rialto and later Redlands.
He leaves behind two children, Mrs. Jacqueline Griffin of Santa Ana, Califoria and Prof. Stephen P. Bensch of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Vena Louise Bensch of Redlands, a native of Evening Shade, Arkansas, lived in San Bernardino County for 52 years, died at home of cancer on Sunday at the age of 71.
She was an account supervisor for Southern California Edison for 29 years and was survived by her husband, Paul A., a son, Stephen P. of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, a daughter, Jacqueline L. Griffin of Tustin, a brother, Glenn Qualls of Danville, Arkansas and four grandchildren.

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Charles and Anna Muriel Hasty. She worked as secretary at Alexandria Senior High School for 30 years, retiring in 2008. A member of Grace Presbyterian Church, she dearly loved her family, four grandchildren, and her many friends and ASH friends and "kids".
She was preceded in death by her father, James Charles Hasty; mother Anna Muriel Hasty, and infant brother, Charles Lee of Ola, Arkansas. Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 49 years, Harvey M. Benson: daughter, Ginger Cook and husband Kevin, of Carthage, Texas; daughter Gayle Mann and husband Brett of Woodworth, Louisiana.
She is also survived by four grandchildren; Katherine "Katy" Cook, Paul Ray Cook, Victoria Gayle Young and Benjamin Charles Young. Officiating were Dr. Bob Vincent, Pastor Kevin Cook and Pastor Ritchey Cable.
