Mrs. Alice C. Bell, age 90, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, June 12, 1985, at Dardanelle Hospital. She was the widow of William J. Bell, daughter of the late George and Sarah Stewart Cabaniss, and was a member of Fouke Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, James M. Bell of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. and Marvin V. and John B. Bell of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Mary Alice Zimdars of Dardanelle; 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Havana Couple Die In Florida Tragedy - from the Associated Press Mrs. Charles A. Bell, 47, of Havana was found beaten to death at Cocoa Beach, Fla, Tuesday and her husband was found dead on the floor of the same room with the telephone in his hand. The couple had arrived at Cocoa Beach Monday from Yell County to visit their daughter, whose husband, A/1c Richard C. Weir, was being transferred to South Vietnam. A detective said that Bell, about 50, telephoned the police station Tuesday morning that he had just killed his wife with a hammer. The detective, Lt. John McEckeran, kept Bell on the phone while Air Police at Patrick Air Force Base were alerted. When police arrived Bell was still holding the phone, but was on the floor dead. Mrs. Dena Mae Bell, 63, of Danville died at the Yell County Hospital Thursday afternoon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley of the home; two sons, Bartley Bell and Chuck Doster of Danville; four daughters, Mrs. Deanna Black, Mrs. Charlette Bewley, Mrs. Sandra Garner and Mrs. Darlette Doster, all of Danville; four brothers, Jim Parsons of Ranger, George Parsons and Fred Parsons, both of Dardanelle, Richard Parsons of Delaware; one sister, Mrs. Icie Gailin, of California; and four grandchildren.

Duil Bell, age 70 of Havana died Sunday, November 29, 1998 at his home in Havana. Mr. Bell was born September 27, 1928 in Havana, to the late Evin and Gertrude Hood Bell. He was a former and a member of the Ascension Life Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Bell.
Survivors are his wife, Verzene Catlett Bell, 2 sons and daughter in laws, Ronald and Betty Bell of Havana, Wayne and Connie Bell of Ozone; one brother Bobby Bell of Hot Springs; three sisters, Lucille Armstrong of Midwest City, OK, Bonnie Bryant of Havana, Gladys Newton of Oraville, CA; 3 grand children, 3 great grand children, several nieces and nephews.

Louise Bell, 86, of Ola, AR died Tuesday, January 27, 1998 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born in Gibson County, TN, June 13, 1911 to the late Grover and Alice Spri Potect. She was a mother, homemaker and a member of the Springhill Baptist Church in Springhill, TN. She and her husband, Aubrey Bell were married January 27, 1928, they were married 70 years.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ulice and Hurbert Poteet.

Ocie Bell, age 97 of Danville, died Thursday, November 11, 2003 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born July 28, 1906 in Pea Ridge, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Edward Newton and Elizabeth Betty Hood Blaylock. She was a member of the first Baptist Church in Danville, former owner of Bell's Cafe in Danville, a homemaker and mother and a special baby sitter for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lesley Wilburn Bell and two great-grandsons and a special friend, Marie Wilkins.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, L. W. and Zelta Bell of Danville; a daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Loyd Gilkey of Danville; four grandchildren. Jerry Gilkey of Ft. Dogan Reece Bellar, age 78 of Dardanelle, AR died Tuesday, April 21, 1998 at his daughter's home in Dardanelle. He was born October 11, 1919 in Dardanelle, AR to the late Robert E. and Bell Spears Bellar. He retired as a frontend loader operator from Mobley Construction Company and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Bellar; a daughter, Donna Anthony and two brothers, Preacher and Birle Bellar.
Survivors include his wife, Modean Adams Bellar; a daughter, Hilda McGohan of Dardanelle, AR; a brother, Dike Bellar of Dardanelle; 10 grandchildren and spouses, Doug McGohan of Las Vegas, NV, Yancy McGohan, Brent McGohan, Michael "Burr McGohan, Brandon Clemons, Dustin Bellar and wife, Nicole all of Dardanelle, AR, Maila Bishop and husband, Mark and Joe Hurdle all of Russellville, Tammy Wallman of Newport News, Virginia, Kim Lunningham of Ft. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dogan Reece Bellar; a son, Ronnie Bellar; a daughter, Donna Anthony; son-in-law, Herman Lee McGohan and two grandsons, Doug and Brent Alberto McGohan.
She is survived by her daughter, Hilda McGohan of Dardanelle, AR; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was born December 6, 1917 in Yell County, Arkansas to the late Robert Lee and Rachel Bell (Spears) Bellar. He was a retired saw mill worker for Rennae Sims, A World War II Army Veteran and a member or Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141 in Dardanelle. He attended the St. Augustines Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosita Anton Bellar; three brothers, Thomas Roy Bellar, Reese Dogan Bellar, and Burl Vinson Bellar.
Survivors include special family, Sheila and Steve Tillman, Jeffry and Hunter Coffman, Dardanelle; Sherri and Lee Shoemaker, San Antonio, Texas; Gary and Vicki Glenn, Amber, Nicole, Bart Glenn, Dardanelle; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Bobo.

Nooner Bellew, age 96, of Bluffton, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at the Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was a son of the late Joe and Minnie Woods Bellew, and was born at Bluffton. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 123, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bluffton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Jewell Lofland Bellew, Durah Lazenby Bellew and Viola Daniel Bellew, a brother, Jim Bellew, and a sister, Ada Coleman.
He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and other family members.

Benita M. Beman, age 85, a resident of Plainview, AR, formerly of Randalia, Iowa, died Saturday, October 26, 2002 at her home in Plainview. She was born on February 6, 1917 in Fayette County, Iowa, to the late Taylor and Carlotta Mae (Orr) Briggs. She married Loyal N. Beman in Randalia, Iowa on November 7, 1937. She was a cook with the public school system Iowa prior to retiring to Arkansas. She attended Teachers College at Cedar Falls, Iowa majoring in Home Economics. She was a Methodist in faith; was a member of EH (Extension Homemakers) of Plainview serving as Inspirational Reader; active in the Senior Activity Center in Danville; a 4-H Leader in Fayette County, Iowa and well known for her bread baking. She also loved RVing and had traveled to every state in the Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal N. Beman.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Whyla Beman of Amisseville, VA, Sherla & John Arp of Mount Pleasant, IA; one son, Terry and Pat Beman of Randalia, IA; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and an aunt, Dorthea McLeese of Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with Internment of the cremated remains to occur at Dunhams Grove Cemetery in Randalia, Iowa. Loyal Beman, age 82, a resident of Plainview, AR died Friday, January 9, 1998 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville, AR. He was born on October 28, 1915 at Randalia, IA to Earl and Mary Newcomb Beman. He married Benita Briggs on November 7, 1937 at Randalia, IA. He was a retired Grain and Livestock farmer. He was a Methodist. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jimmie H. Bench of Plainview, age 42 years, died August 27, 1948 in the Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. Mr. Bench served several months with the armed forces during World War II. Kenneth Ray Bench, age 43, of Dardanelle died Monday, May 28, 2012 at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born February 22, 1969 at Russcelville to Jim Walter "JW" and Thelma Booth Standridge Bench. He was part of the Dardanelle Assembly of God Church and was an active worker in the church. He loved cookouts with family and friends and you could always catch him with a Coke Zero in his Red Solo Cup.
He was preceded in death by two siblings, Willow Mae and James Edward Bench; stepfather, John William Booth.

Levon Benedict, age 87, went home to be with the Lord October 27, 2014. He was the second son of Dennis and Mae Benedict. He enjoyed every aspect of farming life. He was a John Deere and a Deutz Man. When he was aboard his Deutz every cedar tree shuttered when they saw the bushog. His wife Dorothy was by his side for 63 years. He was a man of few words but his love for his family knew no bounds. He served his country in Japan.
He was preceded in death by his parents. His older brother Richard Levoy died while young. Two sisters and brother-in-laws, Dorris and Tom McBride, Lorene and Ray Jones.
Survivors include his daughters, Gale and Bill Damon of Ola, Ronda and Glen Littrell of Eureka Springs; brothers, David and wife Barbara of Sapulpa, OK, Arlyss and Martha of Ola; sisters, Lynelle and Ed Bitticks of Lavaca, Cherry and Sam Turner of Ola; grandchildren, Brock and his wife Frankie, Caleb, William, Amber and husband Ray, John Leslie, Sequoia and husband Noah and Sierra; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many friends and many beloved nieces and nephews. Martha Benedict, 73, of Ola, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2015. She was born June 22, 1941, in Aly, Arkansas to the late Washington and Gerturde (Smith) Stephens.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, llene Gagne.

He was born on November 5, 1942, in Birta, Arkansas to the late James Marcus Benefield Sr. & Geneva Irene Fuller Wilson. He was raised as a child until retirement in El Centro, CA. Charles loved and enjoyed his time in the sun, gardening, yard work and raising cattle. He worked at Von's Groceries Inc. as a meat manager in El Centro, CA for 30 years. He owned his own Franchise "Housemaster" of 8 years in El Centro, CA. He came back to retire in 2009, to his birth town Birta, Arkansas to retire in 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers & sister, James Marcus Benefield Jr, Robert Lynn Benefield, and Patsy Stone.
