Bellverta Abernathy, age 63 of Oppelo, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008. She was born January 18, 1944 in Reno, Kansas, a daughter of the late Theo Robertson and Loretta Brixey Robertson. She was a cook and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Jerrold Abernathy and daughter-in-law Linda of Ola; daughter, Debbie Abernathy of Birta; brother, Dwight Robertson and sister-in-law Barbara of Casa; 3 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bobby J. Hubbard of Casa; one niece and seven nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Hubbard.

Berniece Abernathy, age 93, of Russellville, died Sunday, October 17, 2004 at Legacy Lodge Nursing Center. She was a daughter of Oscar Lark and Ella Frances Shull Abernathy and was born June 22, 1911 at Birta. She was formerly a cook at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, was a charter member of the Ola Assembly of God Church and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Russellville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Odell, Justin, Fred, Harold and O. L. Abernathy.
Survivors include a brother, Olin Abernathy of Sacramento, California; six nephews, Larry, Richard, Charles, Douglas, J. D. Richard Lynn and Ray Abernathy; four nieces Fredia Edmonson, Rhonda Holmes and Carmel Lynn and Terry Lou Abernathy; and a number of grand nephews and grand nieces and great grand nephew and great grand nieces.
Services were Friday, at the Shinn Chapel by Rev. Larry Moore and Rev. Neil Edmonson. Burial in the Birta Cemetery. A son of the late Oscar Lark Abernathy and the late Ella Francis Shull Abernathy, he was born August 11, 1919, at Birta, AR. He had worked as an orderly for St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville, was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy, was a member of the Ola Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Disabled American Veterans, and was a Baptist.

She was one of 13 children; she was 1 of a set of triplets-. She was a mother and grandmother and a member of the First Baptist Church. She had many friends and was loved by all.

Vern was born in Santa Clara, California on January 23, 1957. He departed from this world on January 21, 2014. Vern was a devoted life partner to Sherrie Phillips. He was a painter by trade and enjoyed all sports including golfing, bowling, the San Francisco Giants, and was a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers. Vern is survived by his parents Paul (Janetta) Adair and Sue (Bill) Parker of Havana; grandmother, Lucille Kiefer of Santa Rosa, California; sister, Paula (Matthew) Hill and brother, Mike (Lorie) Adair also of Havana.
Other survivors include five nieces and nephews: Deanna Arrants of Perryville, Paul (Kayla) Delgado of Havana, Amanda Delgado of South Carolina, Tyler LaVern (Brooke) Adair of Fayetteville, and Mikayla Adair of Bentonville; great-nieces Briana and Emily Arrants and Nikki Delgado; and one great-nephew, Connor Delgado. Other very special people in Vern's life were Sherri's daughter, Erin, and her three children; Dominick; Milo; and Brooklyn who knew Vern as their "Papa".
Vern was preceded in death by his grandparents; Raymond and Marie (Clemons) Adair and Joe Kiefer. Vern's numerous cousins, many of who called him "Bones", all have wonderful memories of good times with Vern, but his Arkansas cousins recall the many visits to Arkansas which included picnicking/hiking on Mt. Lyndon L. Adair, age 75 of Magazine died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home. He was born September 15, 1932 in Havana, AR to the late Julius and Hazel Baker Adair. He was a 20 years retired Air Force Veteran and a member of AACS Alumni Association.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Adair; brother Vernon Adair; sister, Donnie Easley and niece, Donna Hicks.
Survivors include brother-in-law Truman J. Easley of Cherokee Village, AR; nephews, Ronnie Easley of Cherokee Village, AR; Mark Easley of Duluth, GA and Steve Adair of Plumerville, AR.

Marie Adair departed this life on April 14, 2004 in California. She was born in Belleville, AR on January 26, 1917, where she met and married Raymond Adair. They were married for 59 years at the time of his death in 1997.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Tom in 1997.
Her Christian faith was a strong indication of her character. She was a devoted, caring mother, a constant advocate and champion for her family. Her impact will be felt for generations to come.
She was a blessed mother of Paul Adair, Peggy Gill and Keith Adair, a cherished grandmother of 10, great grandmother of eight and two great-great grandchildren.

Mary Nell Adair, age 92, of Belleville passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, at her home. She was born January 22, 1925, in Havana, Arkansas to the late Hubert William & Leah Mae Peirce Clemons. She was retired after 30 years from Wayne Farms.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Adair; parents; son, Lloyd Adair; daughters, Patricia Knight, and Linda Donnelly; all her sister and brothers; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her children, Betty Elliott of Belleville; Carolyn Hummer of Chickalah Mountain; Marilyn Horn of Danville; Rick Adair of Danville; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
