Edna Helen Littlefield, age 90, of Cecil, formerly of Waveland, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was born December 14, 1927, in Waveland, Arkansas to the late Arthur and Ovelene Catlett James. Edna loved gardening, crocheting, quilting and cooking.
She was preceded in death By her parents; husband, Paul Littlefield and six brothers, John, Ray, Raydus, Opal, Noble and Glendon James.
Survivors include her son, JP Littlefield (Christa) of Cecil; three grandchildren, Amy Brewer (Justin) of Van Buren, Jeff Littlefield (Dorie) of Cabot and Harlee Haney (Derrick) of Jonesboro; two great grandchildren, Joseph Parker Littlefield and Jones Paul Littlefield, both of Cabot.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Moores Chapel Community Church in Waveland with Bro. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial was in Moores Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday, January 8, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:OO P.M at Cornwell Funeral Home Danville. Pallbearers included Randal Bonds, Dillon Bonds, Ronnie Putman, Lonnie Kennedy, Bobby James, Brayden James, Charles Brown and Wade Conley. Honorary Pallbearers were Kent Dennis and Bill Campbell. Clinton Eugene Littlejohn, 73, of Russellville, was called home to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born October 27, 1942, in Dover, to Clinton Ester and Elvia Aurelia Nestlcrode Littlejohn. He worked for over 25 years for the Arkansas State Highway Department in District 8, was a United States Air Force veteran and was a member and deacon of Pleasant View Baptist Church and a member ol the River Valley Antique Car Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Robert Baunton; a brother, Sammy Littlejohn; and a sister, Lena Mae Colbert.
Survivors include his wife of almost 52 years, Joyce Littlejohn; two daughters, Rebecca Moore of Russellville, and Lena Littlejohn of Atkins; two grandsons, Robert Allen Moore and Christopher Eugene Littlejohn; a brother-in-law, Jim Colbert of Ola; a sister-in-law, Jo Robertson of Russellville; a number of nephews and nieces, including a special nephew, Russell Colbert; and his adoptive son, Randall Standridge.
The funeral service was at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Shinn Chapel officiated by the Rev. Larry Pettus. Mrs. Neva Mae Littleton, age 61, of Rt. 2 Havana, was dead on arrival July 20 at Yell County Hospital of heart failure. She was born in Iowa but lived most of her life in Minnesota. They moved to Mt. George in 1948. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Dailey Littleton, and her father Jess Garner, both of her home; two sons, Clarence (Jerry) Young of Havana and James Young of Danville; one daughter, Mrs. Neva Wilson of Minnesota; four stepsons; Dean Littleton of New Jersey; Alvin Littleton of Strong, Roy Littleton of Magazine and Hubert Littleton of Arizona; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Gwendaline Shockley of Danville; two brothers, Gifford and Elza Garner both of Minnesota; and 22 grandchildren.

Robert Thompson Littleton, age 79, of Dardanelle, AR died Thursday at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born March 1, 1923, the son of the late Wayne and Vivian Vaughn Littleton. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a construction inspector for the Corps of Engineers, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, La Vaughn Kroodsma.
Survivors three children, Tommy Littleton of Russellville, AR, DeNann and Frank Clark of Dardanelle, AR and Lorie Robinson of New Orleans, LA; a brother, Wayne Littleton, Jr. of St. Martin, CA; a sister, Vanna Hottinger of Ola, AR; grandchildren, Ashley Clark of Bentonville and Michael Littleton of Bryant.

Ronnie Gene Littleton, 55, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Booneville. He was born August 16, 1961 in Russellville, Arkansas to Alton Gene and Jennie B. (Owens) Littleton. Ronnie was a farmer, and formerly worked for the USDA and the Arkansas Highway Department. Ronnie was a graduate of Booneville High School in 1979. He excelled at football and was an All-state football player and played two years at Arkansas Tech University. He was a member of the Heritage Addition Church of Christ in Booneville. He enjoyed horticulture and permaculture and nature of all sorts.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Albert "Dock" Littleton and maternal grandparents, Elzia and Iva Owens.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Ellington Cemetery near Magazine, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Mildred Lavina Lively, age 92 of Perryville, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Perry County Nursing Home, in Perryville. She was born in Bigelow, Arkansas on May 15, 1912, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Viola O'Neal Bowdler. She had owned and operated Patty Ann Restaurant in Thornburg for many years, where she always had homemade pies and bread to serve. She was a member of the Thornburg Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis D. Lively, two brothers, H. W. "Buddy" Bowdler, and Tommy Bowdler, four sisters, Jessie Walker, Margaret Delso, Georgia Bennett, and Viola Davis.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Robnett, Dan Bowdler, both of Thornburg, Arkansas, Andrew Robnett, of Morrilton; a daughter, Catherine Kline of Alabama; two brothers, Anthony Bowdler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Henry Bowdler of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters, Vera Ramsey of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Betty Brittain of Houston, Texas; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

He was a retired law enforcement officer with the U. S. Forest Service and a member of the Bluffton Methodist Church and an Air Force Veteran.

Gravelly Man Killed In Road Accident - Bud Lofland, about 36, of Gravelly was killed Wednesday afternoon while driving a county road grader near Gravelly. He was driving the patrol home on the north road between Bluffton and Gravelly about 3 p. m. and apparently lost control of the machine going down a hill. The patrol struck a bridge at the foot of the hill and Lofland was thrown from it and crushed under a wheel. He was killed instantly.
Devoe Garner, who was driving ahead of Lofland in a pickup, noticed that the patrol did not come over the next hill and returned to find Lofland pinned under the machine. C. O. Lofland died Saturday, November 29th in Rockwall Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born at Gravelly and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Lofland and moved to Rockwall at the age of twenty-one. He was a former business owner in Rockwall.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dewey Lofland of the home; two sons, J. S. Lofland and Joe C. Lofland both of Rockwall; one daughter, Mrs. Horace Smith of Tyler, one brother, T. S. Homer Lee Lofland, age 63, of Bluff ton, died Friday, February 10, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was a retired state employee, a member of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge, and the son of Homer Virgil Lofland and the late Oda Caviness Lofland.
He is survived by two daughters; Judy Bales of Dallas, TX., and Lena Wall of Little Rock; one brother, Billy Seth Lofland of Briggsville; one sister, Betty Rose Linebarger Of Camden ; and one grandson.

Lofland - Rockwall and Rockwall County lost one of its most respected citizens last week when James Riley Lofland, known throughout this area as "Uncle Jim," passed away at the home of a son here, Saturday, August 12, 1950. Mr. Lofland was 92 years, 6 months and 6 days old. Mr. Lofland was born in Bluffton, Ark and was married to Sarah Frances Holiman, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by the following of his 10 children: Wallace G. Lofland of Lubbock; William T. Lofland of Austin; Lilyan Lofland Duncan of Dallas; and the following from Rockwall: Mrs. Ellen Darr, Mrs. Amanda Rochell, Hugh B. Lofland and O. D. Lofland. Jo Breashears Lofland, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 82, resident of Little Rock passed away Monday, July 14, 2008, at the Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Rover to the late John S. Breashears and Ola Brown Breashears. Ms. Lofland had a passion for working in her yard with flowers, gardening, and cooking and sharing her bounty with others. She went to work for the Arkansas State Police in the accident record section in 1959 and retired in 1987. She was a hard worker, and dedicated loyal employee, always trying to help others.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Bales and husband Jack of Hot Springs, and Lena Wall and Ray Sullivan of Mabelvale; two brothers, Baxter Breashears and Leroy Breashears, both of Russellville; sister, Mary Hunt of Danville; grandson, Wes Gross and wife Shelly of Little Rock; great-granddaughter, Lacey Lacey Gross of Little Rock, and a host of nieces and nephews,
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Bobby, Ned, Ted, Hayes, and Bill Breashears, and a sister, Sue Lewis Cox.

Joseph S. Lofland, who died December 19th, was born February 6, 1854 at Bluffton, Arkansas, was married to Tempy Jane Crawley February 1, 1874 at the same place. To this union eight children were born, of which six survive: Wilburn, Denton,Texas; Walker, Sid and Check and Mrs. C.F. Rhodes, Rockwall, Texas; Mrs. Urie Swaim, Gravelly. One brother, J.R. Lofland, Rockwall, Texas.
Also survived by 26 grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mr. Lofland joined the Methodist church in 1875 at Bluffton and lived a true Christian until his death which occurred after an illness of over a year at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Urie Swaim, Gravelly. The services were held in the Methodist Church in Gravelly, December 20, conducted by Rev. J.S. Coffer, Lavaca, assisted by Rev. Mr. Fry of Gravelly. Singing was by Mrs. Jabo Clements, assisted by Mrs. Author Hunnicutt.

WINSTON-SALEM - Norma Maie Handley Lofland, age 89, died on October 25, 2011 of Alzheimer's disease. Norma was born in Garland, Texas, to Peter Witwer Handley and Willie Belle Cloud Handley. She graduated from Garland High School and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In 1941 she married Hugh Lofland, Jr.; they moved to Winston-Salem in 1951, where Hugh was a professor and researcher at Bowman Gray School of Medicine until his death in 1975. Norma worked with Hugh as a technician at the medical school, and continued working there until her retirement in 1989. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Hugh B Lofland, Jr., and son-in-law Mark D. Gould.
She is survived by her sister Phyllis Handley Womack and brother-in-law William M. Womack of El Paso, TX; sister-in-law Dorothy Benton Lofland Poole of Rockwall, TX; her children, Dee Anne Lofland Lamb and son-in-law Wilson C. Lamb, Jr. of Hillsborough NC, Lisa Lofland Gould of Winston-Salem, and Maxwell Lofland and daughter-in-law Pamela Hare Lofland of Clemmons NC; grandchildren Christopher Lamb and wife Robin Ray Lamb, Jeremy Lamb, Peter Lamb and wife Amy Miller Lamb, Hannah Gould and husband Matthew Jones, Meggan Gould and husband Robert Haggerty, Aleeta Lofland, Jamie Lofland, and Camilla Lamb; great-grandchildren: Zachariah, Elijah, and Cooper Lamb; Gretta and Hugh Lamb; Dakota, Connor, and Noah Lemm; and Nola Fern Haggerty; and numerous dear nieces and nephews and their families. Known to her Girl Scouts as "Piney," Norma was a Scout leader for decades and delighted in teaching her Scouts new skills. She was an active member of the Wildflower Club of Winston-Salem, a longtime member of Parkway United Church of Christ, and a volunteer at Brunson and Kimberly Park schools. She also loved gardening, camping and hiking, nature study, reading, puzzles, and music. She retained a wonderful sense of humor throughout her life.
A memorial service to celebrate Norma's life will be held on November 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Amos Room (Phillips Care Center) at the Salemtowne Retirement Community. Norma's family wishes to express deep gratitude for the loving care given to Norma by all the staff at the Salemtowne Retirement Community. Mrs. Ollie Mae Lofland of Rockwall, Tex., died Friday, March 11 after a short illness in the Rockwall Medical Hospital. Mrs. Lofland was a member of the First Methodist Church and had been associated with her husband in their grocery business.
Her survivors include her husband, C. O. Lofland; two sons, J. S. Lofland of Dallas and Joe C. Seth Wilburn Lofland, aged 81, retired merchant, farmer and stockman, died at his home in Bluffton Sunday afternoon after a long illness. Mr. Lofland's father, the late Wm. S. Lofland was also a merchant in Bluffton his entire life and was a member of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge.

WILLS POINT - Funeral services for Thomas Lofland, 82, of Wills Point, formerly of Rockwall, were held at 10 a.m., March 11, at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point with Rev. Ray Reed and Rev. Bill Hedges officiating. Interment followed at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. Mr. Lofland died the afternoon of March 8, 2009, in a Terrell hospital. Thomas was born December 21, 1926, in Rockwall, son of Thomas Sydney and Lily Aquila Poindexter Lofland. He was raised in Rockwall where he graduated from Rockwall High School. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. On April 6, 1947, he married Vera E. Peace in Rockwall. He was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1979. He lived in Rockwall prior to moving to Wills Point in 1983. He enjoyed gardening, raising Simmental cattle and fishing. Thomas was a member of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gladys Maynard; four brothers, Raymond, Dick, J.L. and Corry Lofland; and a son-in-law, Charles Kinser.
Survivors include his wife of Wills Point; four daughters, Toni Kinser and Jody Lofland of Rockwall, Linda Slejko and husband Steve of Mesquite and Lisa Bailey and husband Bob of Blaine, Wash.; one brother, Robert Lofland and wife Betty of Rockwall; two sisters, Frances Dixon of Garland and Juanita Myers and husband Tom of Rockwall; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. LOFTIS -- Emma Marcella Loftis, born May 9, 1923 in Yell County, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 in her home in Albuquerque, NM.
She is survived by sister June Mills of Albuquerque, brother JD Sam Benefield of Carlsbad, children Leo Loftis, Elizabeth Gibbs, Darrell Loftis and Jo Loftis all of Albuquerque, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were children, Thomas Swift, Jimmy Swift, and Delbert "Mossy" Loftis.

She was a daughter of the late Albert and Nancy Smith Douglas; she was born January 31, 1928 in Carden Bottoms, AR. She was a member of the Casa First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Frank Moody of Picayune, Mississippi; three daughters, Ruby A very of Casa, Nancy Hubbard of Rose Creek, AR and Phyllis Pearson of Atkins; six brothers, Clarence, James and Dean Douglas all of Casa; J. R. Funeral services were conducted at the Assembly of God Church in Plainview Friday by Miss Francis Payne of Dardanelle and Rev. Ivan Marcum, pastor of the church. A very large crowd of people were in attendance. Flowers were many and beautiful. Burial was in the Ola Cemetery.
