Donna Mae Leathers, age 72, of Ola died Thursday, January 31, 2002 at National Park Hospital in Hot Springs. Mrs. Leathers was born June 6, 1929 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clare R. and Irene Aldred Hill. She was a homemaker and mother and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Leathers.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and JoAnn Leathers of Dayton, Texas, Mark and Mary Leathers of Ft. Smith, David and Mary Leathers of Iowa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Roger Reynolds of Fayetteville, Elaine And Derrell Burke of Ola, two brothers, her twin, Don Hill of Idaho, Richard Hammond of California; a sister, Sharon Odom of Alabama; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Services will be February 3, 2002, at 2:00 p. m. at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Rev. Jerry Schlinker officiating. Interment will be in Sandlin Cemetery, Ola by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle. LINDSAY - Alex J. Pete LeBeouf, who lived and worked here for 25 years as a pest control technician for Porterville. Developmental Center before retiring in 1990, died here on Friday, May 7, 1999. He was 67. Visitation will be held from 18 p. m. today and from 9 a. m. to noon Tuesday at Webb-Sanders; Funeral Home in Lindsay.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery. Mr. LeBeouf was born in Woodside, La. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served from 1951-54. He was a paratrooper attached to the 508th Airborne and participated in Operation Longhorn maneuvers. A proud Cajun, he enjoyed family gatherings, special friends, a good-humored joke, home-cooked Cajun food, the outdoors and fun-filled trips to Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Elva Sue LeBeouf of Lindsay; a son, Bobby Dean LeBeouf of Lindsay; a daughter, Shirlene Boyd of Clovis; a brother, Wallace J. LeBeouf of Lindsay; a sister, Katherine Bilski of Baytown, Texas; three grandchildren, Brian, Amanda and Aaron LeBeouf, all of Strathmore; a son-in-law, Robert Boyd of Clovis; a daughter-in-law, Charia LeBeouf of Strathmore; and many nieces and nephews.

ELVA SUE LeBEOUF - Sue was born in Rover, AR, on December 9, 1935, and passed away on July 24, 2001, in Fresno, CA. She retired from the Pacific Bell Visalia office in 1974, having provided her services as a telephone operator for 20 years. Sue loved gatherings of family and friends, all of which were very special to her. Through the years she worked diligently to help provide the necessities for her family and always maintained a beautiful home. She enjoyed country music and looked forward to the next fun filled trip to Las Vegas. She was a master at video keno and poker and won many large jackpots. She also enjoyed the many fresh fruits the valley produced and grew apricots and tomatoes in her yard. Living in Lindsay for over 58 years of her life was a good match for her. Sue enjoyed the friendship of her neighbors, local bank, grocery store, mechanics, etc. as they were always ready to help with anything she needed, and she really felt safe and part of the small town community.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Alex J. Pete LeBeouf. Sue is survived by a son, Bobby Dean LeBeouf, and wife, Flora of Porterville; a daughter, Shirlene Kay Boyd, and husband, Robert of Clovis, and three grandchildren, Brian Amanda, and Aaron LeBeouf, all of Porterville.
Visitation will be held at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home in Lindsay on Thursday, July 26, 2001 from 1:00 to 7:00 P. M. Patricia Lynn Ledbetter, age 48, died August 27, 2000 at St. Edward's Hospital in Port Smith, AR. She was born January 31, 1952 in Houston, AR to Virginia Ledbetter and the late Leo Ledbetter.
She is survived by, her mother, Virginia Ledbetter; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carla Ledbetter of Greenwood, AR; a sister and brother-in-law, Lou and Micah Ellis of Danville, AR; five nieces, Laurie Roger Brand, Cindy Timmy Sherrill, Dana Robinson, Kate Ledbetter and Amber Beaman; five nephews, Jimmie Robinson, Philip Robinson, Shane Beaman, Trevor Ellis and Brett Ellis; three great-nieces; four great nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Dr. Benjamin Lee Cunningham, 86, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, July 20. He was the grandson of Dr. B.F. Chandler, a pioneer physician. A retired physician and planter, Dr. Cunningham was a native of Dardanelle, son of the late George W. and Bennie Chandler Cunningham.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Cole Cunningham.

Hercul Walter Lee, age 83, of Russellville, AR went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2002. He was born to the late Walter and Maude Lee on March 21, 1919 at Antoine, AR. He was a member of the Harvest Time Pentecostal Church in Russellville and was a longtime truck driver.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Gay Ion and Steven Lee and an infant great granddaughter, Sara.

Lewis Borden Lee, age 80, of Sand Springs, OK died Monday, October 6, 1997 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born September 22, 1917 at Havana to William Hanon and Harriet Melissa Burcham Lee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Robert and George of Little and Marvin of Sand Springs; three sisters, Ethel Lee, who died at an early age, Ava Buckman and Belva Massengale.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Lee of the home; daughters, Melinda Sofras and Peggy Cravy of Sand Springs; a son, Borden "Buddy" Lee of Sand Springs; brothers, Arvel of Muskogee, Elmer of Lincoln, AR and Claude of Tulsa; and four grandchildren.
He served his country in the United States Army, having been called to duty with the Oklahoma National Guard in early 1941 was in the service battery of the 160th Field Artillery. They were part of the famous 45th division and fought across North Africa and on into Germany. He was awarded the Silver Star, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service ribbon and E. A. M. E. Service ribbon. During his high school years at Havana he was a track star, broke the record time for the 100 yard dash, brought home six first place medals from on county track meet at Ola and at a district meet at Booneville, scored more points than any team that was competing, In 1935, the family moved to Russellville and with his brother Elmer, starred in football there one year. During his high school years at Sand Springs, he set several records as quarterback and running back, some which stand as records today. The Sand Springs High School team won the Verdigris Valley conference football championship, the first year that Elmer and Borden played there. He retired as Superintendent from Armco Steel. He was a member of the Sand Springs High School Alumni Association, a member of the Fisher Baptist Church, and a Mason.

Margie Evelyn Lee, age 86, of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Sherwood Nursing and rehab Center. She was born March 1, 1927 at Russellville to the late William Walter and Alta Sullivan Gray.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph H. Lee; five brothers; two sisters and a great grandson, Matthew Hightower.

Marshall Lee, age 38 of Hot Springs, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at National Park Medical Center. A son of Loyd Lee of Paris and Evelyn Lee of Belleville, he was born August 5, 1964, at Danville. He was a patient transport driver for National Park Medical Center and was a United States Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Eliza Brock; and his paternal grandfather, Earl Lee. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law Kenneth and Susan Lee of Belleville, and Timothy and Laura Lee and Allen and Tiffany Lee, all of Danville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina and Donnie Hohensee of Pottsville, Violet and Steve Simmons of Heber Springs, and Mary Jo and Cody Hudson of Belleville, and his paternal grandmother, Maida Cleo Lee of Paris.

William Hannon Lee, 92, a retired farmer, died May 14 in Westville, Okla. He was a member of the church of Christ and lived near Havana most of his life.
He is survived by seven sons, Elmer, of Lincoln, Robert of Little Rock, Marvin, Borden and Claud, all of Tulsa, Okla., and George and Arvel of California; one daughter, Ava Buckman, of California; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Laura Kyles, of Havana.

Marvelle C. Leeman, formerly of Danville, AR passed away in Corpus Christi, TX on July 6, 2001. She was born July 4, 1929 in Seattle, WA. She was a Navy daughter, wife and mother. She was very active in the Danville community. She was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Chancel Choir for many years. She held many positions Vice-chairman of Administrative Council, President of United Methodist Women, led World Hunger Drive, did tape ministry and home visits to shut-ins. She received the Special Mission Recognition by UMW. She was considered "an able leader and a willing follower." She was also a teacher in ESL program. She joined Danville Eastern Star in 1983 and transferred to the Ola Chapter in 1993 when Danville surrendered their charter. She served as Worthy Matron in both chapters as well as state level offices. Another of her loves was Danville Music Club. She was one of the pillars of the club. She served as President of not only Danville, but the Northwestern District. She was an active American Red Cross Volunteer during John's active military duty. She received the Clara Barton Red Cross Volunteer Award, the highest award given to a civilian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Carlton and Mildred Lovett Wall and her husband, John R. Leeman, Sr. Marvelle and John retired in Danville after 33 years of military service in the Navy.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John R. Jr. & Tina Leeman of Corpus Christi, TX and Gary R. Terri of Fresno, CA; a brother, William & Flora Wadey of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Susan & Jim Thomason of Kent, WA; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother-in-law, Albert (Kathleen) Leeman of Madison, WI; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lahey; uncle, Walter Rierson of Gig Harbor, WA and several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. The Leeman family wishes to thank Mrs. Willie Thomas (a very special friend) and all her extended family in Texas and Arkansas for their love, support and prayers during our mother s illness.

JERUSALEM - William James Leggett, age 96, of Chenneyville, La. formerly of Jerusalem, died June 21, 1986 at a hospital in Alexandria, La. He was a native of Pope County, a retired merchant and farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Fridell Leggett of Chenneyville; one son, Paul Robert Leggett of Fort Smith; three daughters, Pearl Leggett of Russellville, Mrs. Genevieve Fryer of Atkins and Mrs. Mary Anna Thomas of Chenneyville; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Linda Lou Walker Lemmon, age 45, of Dardanelle died Saturday, February 4, 2012. She was born March 11, 1966 at Dardanelle to Seth Kennith Walker and Patricia Mae Hettel. She loved helping people, was free spirited and loved God.

Ethredge Wayne Lemons, Age 83, of Wilmington, Delaware, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Born in 1931 in Gravelly, Arkansas, Wayne was the first child of James Ethredge and Moliccie Lemons. Wayne grew up in Gravelly, attending Fourche Valley Public Schools and graduating in 1948. He enrolled at the University of Arkansas, receiving his bachelor's degree from the Department of Agriculture in 1952 and his Masters degree in Entomology in 1954. He began his work career as an assistant professor of Entomology at the University of Arkansas' Monticello campus. In 1956, he joined the Agricultural chemicals Department of Hercules, Inc. There, his career positions included Director of Marketing for Agricultural Chemicals, Interim Director of Corporate Communications, and Director of Corporate Advertising. He retired from Hercules in 1990 as Director of International Marketing. In 1992, Wayne was appointed by Governor Michael Castle as Director of the Delaware State Lottery. In this capacity, he served a term as President of the Multi-State Lottery Association and he was on the board of the National Association of State and Provincial Lotteries. Wayne Continued to serve as Lottery Director for Governors Carper, Minner, and Markell. He retired in September 2011. Wayne married Janet Manville in 1960. He was a long-term member of both Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he served as Deacon and Head Usher, and Greenville Country Club, where he served on the board. He also served on the boards of Wilmington Friends School and Burton House.
Wayne is survived by his wife Janet, his daughter Martha A. Lemons Sherrill, son David W. Lemons, grandchildren James E. and Sydney A Lemons, son-in- law H. Sinclair Sherrill, and two brothers, Ronald of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Rick of Mound, Oklahoma. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, his sister Melba, and his brother James.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 14 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. Interment was private. Jimmy Don Lemons, born James McDonald Lemons in Gravelly, AR on November 3, 1934 to Etheridge and Moliccie (Hunnicutt) Lemons, died November 26, 2007 at his home in Chouteau, Ok. He was a retired truck driver and loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew him as a great husband, father and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 32 years, Lillian (Parham) Lemons and a sister Melba Dean Boyd.
