Selena Marie Kitchens, age 66 of Danville died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at her home in Danville. She was born July 5, 1943 in the Cedar Creek Community, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Richard Franklin and Lois Marie Bland Lane. She was a member of the Danville Free Will Baptist Church and a homemaker and mother.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Dewayne Kitchens; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Trena Kitchens of Monroe, Oklahoma and Steven and Tonia Kitchens of Pottsville; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Cameron Craig of Danville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Mary Nell Lane and Larry and Paulette Lane all of Havana; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lana and Ron Davis and Sharon and Wendell harp all of Morrilton; seven grandchildren and a host of nephew, nieces and friends.
Services were Tuesday, November 17 at 2 p. m. at the Danville Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Charles King and Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. Burial was in Earl Ladd Cemetery. Mrs. Evelyn B. Hickman Klober, age 62, of Dardanelle, AR died Wednesday, November 19, 1997 at the Legacy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville. He was a member of the Oak Grove Methodist Church and housewife/homemaker. She was born May 12, 1935 in Russellville, AR to the late Grace Almond Hickman.
Survivors include husband, Jimmy Klober of Dardanelle; three sons, Gary Walters of Tulsa, OK, Larry Klober of Dardanelle, AR and Randy Klober of Danville, AR; father, Perry Hickman of Danville, AR; sister, Dovie McCullin of Mt. George, AR and seven grandchildren.

Frank J. Klober, age 89, of Dardanelle, AR died Monday, December 4, 2000 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born June 12, 1911 in Yell County, Arkansas the son of the late Emil and Mary Litman Klober. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Survivors are, a son, Roy Lynn Klober of Benton, AR; a daughter, Polly Parson of Dardanelle, AR; two nieces, Billie Reasoner of Dardanelle, AR and Emily McCord of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a nephew, Jimmy Klober of Dardanelle and four grandchildren.

Jimmie Klober, age 83 of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was born November 11, 1925 at Dardanelle to the late Alfred Balloun and Rosie Klober. He was a farmer, a WWII Navy Veteran, and a member of the Dardanelle VFW Boyce-Woods Post #3141.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn B. Hickman Klober; and an aunt, Mary Foster.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Crystal Klober of Chickalah, Randy and Kelly Klober of Danville, Gary and Debra Walters of Broken Arrow, OK; seven grandchildren, one great grandson; a sister-in-law, Dovie Carter of Ola.

William Henry Willie" Knapp, age 78, of Dardanelle died Saturday, January 12, 2002 at his home in Dardanelle. Mr. Knapp was born October 8, 1923 in Derby, Kansas to the late George L. and Mary Record Knapp. He married Mary Smothers in 1985 and moved to Independence, Missouri and worked for Mid-States Welding as a welder until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Smothers Knapp; two sons, Bill Knapp of Warsaw, Missouri, Mike Knapp of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Shirley Andrews of Harrisonville, Missouri, Mary Knapp of Blue Springs, Missouri; one brother, R. Hubert O. Knauff, Sr. age 73, a resident of Cairo, GA died Thursday, January 1, 1998 at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical at Tallahassee, FL. He was born August 25, 1924 at Prairie County, AR to Hubert and Emma Gertrude Flinn Knauff. He married Anna Clarice Ross on September 12, 1945 in Hector, AR. He retired as a warehouse manager with Harrison & Ellis. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII, Tailgunner on a B25; he received Soldiers Medal for Veterans for Bravery. He was a member of the Cairo Presbyterian Church, Cairo, GA.

Mrs. Belle Knight, age 85, of Walsenburg, Colo., died May 1, at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colo. Mrs. Knight was making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Hazel Bowen. Before coming to Walsenburg, Mrs. Knight taught Sunday school for many years at the Spring Creek Church near Belleville.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Dora Willett all of Kentucky; a brother, Sebe Dalton, Henderson, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

James LeRoy Nub Knight, age 78, of Plainview died Friday, March 25, 1988. He was the son of the late John and Ira Burfield Knight, a retired law enforcement officer. Upon his retirement, he had served 30 consecutive years in law enforcement, which was logger than any other law enforcement officer on the active roll in Arkansas at that time. Nub started in 1936 as Plainview Marshal and as Deputy Sheriff under Sheriff Buford Compton. Since, 1835 be served under six sheriffs including Sheriff Compton from 1936 to 1947; Sheriff Earl Ladd from 1947 to 1957; Sheriff Herman McCormick from 1957 to 1969; Sheriff Carlos Mitchell from 1969 to 1977; Sheriff Hartsell Lewis from 1977 to 1979 and under Sheriff Denver Dennus from 1979 until his retirement in 1985. In his earlier years, Nub worked in the log woods. During many of these years, he logged in the day and worked as an officer at night.
Survivors include one son Bob Roy Knight of Plainview; two grandsons, Bobby Don Knight and Ronald Knight both of Plainview; a granddaughter, Mrs. Teresa Rogers of Clarksville, three great-grandchildren.

Nicholas Ian Knight, age 25, of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday morning, July 22, 2006. He dearly loved his son Ian, and his family. He always strove for personal excellence, and in doing so influenced those around him to do the same. He was a loving son and brother, a devoted, adoring husband and father, a loyal friend, and cherished his family above all else. He was a talented musician with Wasting Days and The Agency, an artful teacher, a philosopher, and a spiritual leader. Nik was a graduate of Leslie High School and Arkansas Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

He was employed at Firestone for 30 years, as well as owning and operating Knight's Upholstery, and a U. S. Navy Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delena Sue Robinson Knight; daughters, Randy Jill Williamson, Shanatha Knight; brothers, Jackie Knight, Dalton "Cougan" Knight; and sister, Molly Jean Knight.

Tommy Ray Knight, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2013. His welcome party in Heaven includes his parents, Troy Lee Knight, Ida Ann and Bill Dean; as well as his sons Nicholas Knight and Michael Emery. Celebrating his life are his wife of 22 years, Betty Knight; children and their spouses, Adam Knight, Mikaela & Jared Stewart, Lori & Derick Robison, Josh & Stephanie Emery, Dede & Sam Lee, Danny Emery, Stacy Trevino, and multiple foster children; grandchildren, Jocelyn & Rilyn Robison, Ian Knight, Lane & Megan Emery, Samuel Lee, Gabrielle Emery; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth & Pat Knight, Robert & Brenda Knight; and a multitude of family and friends that love him. On his happiest days you could find Tommy being "Poppa T" to one of his foster kids or grandkids, on the lake with a fishing pole in hand, cooking up something for his family, in HIS chair watching football, or at a church singing (and the following potluck of course). If he could teach a lesson or bring a smile, no costume was too over-the-top. If you caught him in the winter then you've witnessed his beard preparation to play Santa every Christmas. He brought his enthusiasm and determination to everything he did; from training dogs, to knitting scarves for his family, to his faith in his Lord and Savior. His joy, kind heart, and infectious smile will be missed by all.

Former Danville Man Found Dead - John Knox, 50, Paris businessman and former operator of the-Western Auto Store in Danville was found dead on Magazine Mountain about 6:30 yesterday afternoon. Knox a partner in Hixon - Knox Broiler and Feed Company was last seen Tuesday morning about 10 a. m. as he left his place of business in his car. Sheriff Pete Carter and State Police joined in a hunt for Knox after he was reported missing. Harold Hixon, his partner, said Knox was apparently in good spirits when he left. The sheriff's office at Paris reported this morning the Knox had vidently taken his own life. His left wrist was slashed and he had walked and dragged himself about 50 yards from his car toward a bluff at Brown Springs on Magazine Mountain. His body was found at the edge of the bluff. The sheriff's office said financial troubles and failing heath were possible reasons for the suicide. Knox is married, has no children. Emma Claire Koch, age 82, of Booneville, AR died Monday, March 19, 2001 at the Booneville Manor. She was born July 30, 1918 in Gatesville, TX to the late Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Dyson. She was a retired registered nurse, a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Koch and a daughter, Margaret Ellis.

Louise Snider Koch, age 73 of Dardanelle, AR, widow of Matt Koch died Friday, May 11, 2001 at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was born June 10, 1927 in Dardanelle, AR to the late Arthur and Louise Talley Snider. She was a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dub Snider and Bonnie Snider and three sisters, Ethel Gideon, Vadis Young and Daltha McQuire.
Survivors are one daughter, Darlene Noblett of Dardanelle, AR; one brother Julian Snider of Dardanelle, AR; two grandchildren, Tiffany Crail of Scott City, MO and Matthew Crail of Dardanelle, AR and several nephews and nieces.

Kenneth Orville Konkel, 48, of near Havana died in St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville on Friday, October 22, 1954, from a heart ailment. Merle W. Konkel, aged 59, of Havana, died September 28, 1960 in the Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. He was a native of Illinois, a veteran of WWI and II and had followed the printing trade for a number of years. He moved to Havana in 1946, where he carried on dairy farming and was technician for the Artificial Breeders Association. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion.

Bill E. Kooken, age 53, of Russellville died Friday, October 18, 1985, at St. Vincent Infirmary at Little Rock. He was the son of the late Eva Hutchins Kooken, was retired from Dow Chemical Co. was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and a member of the Episcopal Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Kooken.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Kooken; a son, Michael Kooken of Vero Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Pamela Young of Russellville and Mrs. Karen Case of Muskogee, Okla.; his father, E. B. Kooken of Fayetteville, and two granddaughters.

Alice Lena Qualls Koski, age 81, of Russellville, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at St. Marys Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 5, 1935 in Rover, Arkansas to William Bee and Bessie Lena Nunley Qualls. Alice graduated from Mountain Grove High School in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She met the love of her life, Dick Koski, while he was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri, and they wed January 6, 1957 in Hernando, Mississippi. Alice was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She was a special education teacher in Dardanelle and retired from teaching school in 1998.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Thomas and Raymond.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Richard Dick Koski of the home; one son, Richard Anderson of Fayetteville; three sisters, Lucille, Betty, and Willie Jean; one sister-in-law, Francis Qualls; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016, at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Reverend Darrell Kobs officiating. Joseph "Joe" Kowalski, age 64 of Dardanelle, died Thursday, January 10, 2008, at his home. He was born September 3, 1943 in Kansas City, MO, to Joseph John and Helen Francis Krysa Kowalski. He retired from the Kansas City Police Department after 21 years of service and worked on Mount Nebo in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3928 in Russellville. He truly enjoyed being outdoors whether he was fishing or hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kowalski; a stepson, Kevin Curry; and his first wife, Judith Ann Bailey Kowlaski.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Virginia Kowalski of Dardanelle; mother, Helen Kowalski of Lenexa, Kansas; daughter, Kimberly Edney of Orrick, MO; stepsons, Billy Curry of San Jose, CA; and Randy Curry and Jim Walker of Kansas City, MO; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sandy Kowlaski of Kansas City, MO; sister, Mary Jo Palmer of Lenexa, Kansas; 3 grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
