Hunt, Alvin Herbert

Alvin Herbert Hunt, age 61, of Gravelly died Wednesday, December 17, 1980 at a Waldron hospital. He was the son of the late Wilce and Georgia Franklin Hunt and was a disabled veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Riddle Hunt; five sons, Alvin Hunt of Booneville, Leslie Hunt of Waldron, Jerry and Gary Hunt of Duncan, Okla. and Donald Wayne Hunt of Bluffton; a daughter, Miss Sandy Hunt of the home; a brother, Bobby Hunt of Texas; a half-brother, Claud Vernon of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Trimm and Mrs. Mazie Riddle of Texas; a half-sister, Mrs. Willie Danne Of Clarksville, and 12 grandchildren.

Hunt, Alvin Hobert

Alvin Hobert Hunt, age 61, of Gravelly, Arkansas, died early Wednesday morning, December 17, 1969 at the Waldron Hospital. He was born May 28, 1919 at Gravelly, AR, son of the late Wilce and Georgia Franklin Hunt. He was a disabled veteran of World War II.

Miss Sandy Hunt of the home; one brother, Bobby Hunt, and one half-brother, Claude Vernon, both of Texas; two sisters, Hazel Trimm and Mrs. Mazie Riddle, both of Texas, and one half-sister, Willie Danne of Clarksville. Also 12 grandchildren and an uncle and aunt survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 19, in the Mulberry Free Will Baptist Church near Gravelly with Rev. Sam Wagner and Rev. Roy Lamar officiating. Interment was in the Parks Memorial Cemetery near Gravelly. Arrangements were by Cornwell Funeral Services of Danville. Hunt, Anna Jewell (Adcock) Barton

Anna Jewell Barton Hunt, 77, of Ola, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born November 2, 1934, in Gravelly, Arkansas to Samie and Leona Sledge Adcock. She retired as a cook for the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her children, Rhoda and Paul Dussex of Sherwood, Arkansas, Glen and Terry Barton of Lebanon, Oregon; three grandchildren, Keith and Angela Smallwood, Matthew Dussex, and Andrew Dussex; two great-grandchildren, Alec and Lexi Smallwood; a brother, Harold Adcock of Plainview; three sisters, Linda Short of Hot Springs Village, Youtha Graham of Plainview, and Mary Lazenby of Plainview.

Graveside service was May 26th at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Briggsville. Arrangements were under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville. Arthur Aaron Hunt, aged 79, of Gravelly died at the Yell County Hospital Tuesday, January 30. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist.

Austin Hunt, age 77 of Waldron died early Wednesday morning, June 26, 1979 in the Scott County Hospital in Waldron. He was a native of Gravelly, AR, the son of the late Thomas A and Prisella Kitchens Hunt, a retired mechanic and a Freewill Baptist.

Basil Hoyt Hunt, age 68, of Danville, AR died Wednesday, July 10, 1996 at his home in Danville. He was born in Danville, AR on October 10, 1927, son of the late Benjamin and Lula Wyatt Hunt. He was a Veteran of Korea and Vietnam and retired from the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Freeman Hunt; three sons, Robert Hunt of Benton, Ar, Ronald Hunt of Russellville, AR and Roger Hunt of Little Rock, AR; a daughter, Patricia DeLeon of Gaithersburg, Maryland and two grandchildren and one sister, Clauzell Pence of Danville.

Ben L. Hunt, age 63, of the Dutch Creek Community died Tuesday, May 28, 1974, at the Scott County Hospital at Waldron. He was a native of Scott County, a retired farmer and the son of the late Robert and Armanda Watson Hunt.

Hunt, Berry C.

Driver Killed In Wreck Near Nimrod - A Little Rock man was killed and a Harrison man was critically injured when their car overturned near Nimrod Dam early Sunday morning. Berry C. Hunt, 22, a route salesman for the Independent Linen Co., was killed instantly. He was the driver of the 1953 Chevrolet, which was practically demolished. Frank Price, 22, of Harrison was taken to a Russellville hospital with internal injuries. State Trooper Richard Powell, who investigated the wreck, said that Hunt's car left the road east of Fourche Junction and over turned twice. Billy Don Hunt, age 56 of Mtn. Pine, AR passed away April 12 1997 at his home. He was born August 26, 1940 in Gravelly, AR to Willie F. and Hazel Hunt. He served in the Air National Guard. He was a member of the Harvey's Chapel Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon, head of Van Ministry, Trustee and Sunday School teacher and treasurer of Garland County Baptist Association He was also a member of BoBo Hunting Club and NRA.

Survivors are his wife, Paulette Hunt of Mtn. Pine; a son and, daughter-in-law, Tony and Faith Hunt of Hot Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Bob Radley of Mtn. Pine; his parents, Willie F. and Hazel Hunt of Mtn. Pine; three brothers, Jerry Hunt of Greenwood, Jack Hunt of Hot Springs and Gary Hunt of Greenwood and four grandchildren, Nathaniel and Heahter Radley of Mtn. Pine and Allison and Madison Hunt of Hot Springs.

Funeral service was April 15 at Harvey's Chapel Baptist Church with Revs. Gene Ellis, Tommy Freeman and Bob Courtney officiating. Burial was in Hughes Cemetery at Mtn. Pine. Bobby Dairl Hunt of Gravelly, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Russellville, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Bobby was born May 2, 1937 to Odis G. Hunt and Eloise J. (Lemmons) Hunt in Gravelly, Arkansas. Bobby was 75 years, 11 months and 4 days old. Bobby was an active member of Nola Church of Christ. As a young man Bobby served a tenure in the United States Air Force. He then married to the love of his life, Sue Young Hunt. They shared their lives together for 52 years. Bobby was definitely an outdoorsman. No matter if he was walking through the woods, riding the mower, or going hunting with his family and friends he was happy. Over the last few years, his favorite pastime was to sit on the porch with his coffee and listen to the Martins in his yard. But most of all, Bobby loved spending time with his family and friends and the memories they made together were his favorites. Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory, his love, his wife, Sue Hunt of the home, one son, Robert Michael Hunt of Gravelly, Arkansas, two daughters: Trena Russell and husband Danny of Russellville, Arkansas and Michelle Lynch and husband Shawn of Danville, Arkansas. Papaw will be forever missed by seven grandchildren: Seth Hunt, Grace Hunt, Niki Canada and husband Tom, Dusten Russell and wife Lili, Kyle Myers, Dustin Lynch and Ty Lynch, as well as two great granchildren, Brooklynn and Kinley Canada.

Bobby is also survived by one sister, Shelba Harris and husband David of Bryant, Arkansas. Bobby will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and loved ones.

Carlton Junior Hunt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hunt, Rover, departed this life, June 23. He was born March 25, which made him 2 months and 23 days of age.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, Dessie, three brothers Billy, Charles and Eugene, and one grandfather, Tom Hunt.

Charles "Chuck" Leo Hunt, age 61 of Havana, died Monday, February 16, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Waldron, Arkansas on June 30, 2004. He was a retired truck driver for Wayne Poultry.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Charles Hunt and a sister, Brenda Moeller.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Hunt; daughter, Brenda Moeller; four sisters, Ruby Vaughn, Zell Kennon, Lucille Herron, and Syble Miller; two grandsons, Greg and Thomas Hunt.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Ray Hunt; son and daughter-in-law, Parker and Mary Hunt of Bentonville; daughter-in-law, Wanda Hunt of Havana; daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and David Thornton of Bella Vista, Helen and Jim Coots of Van Buren; son-in-law, Jim Moeller; sister, Willo Owens of Union Hill; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Hunt, Doyle C.

Doyle C. Hunt of North Little Rock, AR passed away October 4, 2002. He was born at Macedonia Community, Yell County, AR on December 21, 1926 to the late Sandford Hunt and Lillian Carrouth Hunt. He graduated from Danville High School in 1945. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a retired manager for Sear Automotive in Little Rock.

Hunt, Elbert Carroll

Dr. Elbert Carroll Hunt, age 92, died at Conway Memorial Hospital on May 1, 1955 after an illness of two weeks. Dr. Hunt was force to retire from active practice in 1951 due to failing eyesight and moved at that time from Ola in the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. S. Adams, in Conway. He had lived in Ola for 25 years and was mayor there for eight years. He had practiced medicine for 57 years.

Hunt, Elizabeth Greene

Mrs. Elizabeth Hunt Again we are called upon to chronicle the passing of another one of the well known landmarks, Mrs. Elizabeth Hunt of Rover. She was born in Harris County, Georgia, June 27, 1830. Died September 12, 1914. Aged 84 years, 2 months and 16 days. She moved to Rover, January 1, 1858.

She was the mother of five children, all living. J. H. Hunt, the youngest is 54 years of age. She had a great number of grand children and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Billy C. Hunt and siblings Ethridge Lemons and Lillian DeFoor.

She is survived by her husband Odis Hunt of a joyous 69 years; two children, Shelba and David Harris of Little Rock, and Bobby and Sue Hunt of Gravelly, AR; daughter-in-law and husband, Veda Hunt and Randy Bradbury of Danville; eight grandchildren, Michael Hunt of Gravelly, Trena and Danny Russell of Russellville, Michelle and Shawn Lynch of Gravelly, Patty and Johnny Mandera of Atkins, Brian and April Hunt of Dardanelle, Kelly and Speedy Wilkerson of Louisville, KY, Jason and Jennifer Harris of Little Rock and Casey Harris of Las Vegas, NV and 15 great-grandchildren.

Grannie Irene Hunt, 92, of Blue Ball, Arkansas passed from this life Saturday, August 27, 2011 in her home. Grannie was born February 25, 1919 in Booneville, Arkansas to Wallis and Virdie (Irons) McCubbin. She married her husband of 70 years Luther Hunt on April 12, 1941. She was a homemaker and gardener. She was a member of the Egypt Free Will Baptist Church in Blue Ball, Arkansas.

Grannie is survived by one daughter, Wilma Jones of Blue Ball, Arkansas; one daughter- in-law, Lois McCubbin of Pencil Bluff, Arkansas; seven grand-children, Kathy and Gerald Holt of Blue Ball, Arkansas, Betty and Robin Singleton of Pencil Bluff, Travis McCubbin of Parks, Arkansas, Juanita and Norman Holt of Waldron, Arkansas; five great- grandchildren, Alisha, Sabra, Hannah, Jarrod, Terry; seven great-great-grandchildren, Keegan, Lukas, Eden, Heaven, Angel, Hayden, and Aaron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gramps Hunt, son, Charles McCubbin, great grand-daughter, DeAnna Holt, sister Bernice Limbocker, and two sons-in-law, Floyd Himes, and A. J. Jones. Grannie's life celebration service was August 30, 2011 at the Egypt Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. J. West, officiating.

Interment was in the Duncan Cemetery with Jackie Allen, officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Hunt, Greg

Gregory Allen Hunt, 46, of Russellville, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was the husband of Gretchen Kirkendoll Hunt. He was born on July 28, 1966 in Little Rock to Raymond and Gloria Wise Hunt. He was a member of the Dardanelle First Baptist Church and served as a deacon with the Plainview First Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and church family.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Hunt; and sister-in-law, Terri Hunt.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gretchen Rene Hunt; five children, Rachael Rene Hunt, Brooke Nichole Hunt, Ali Marie Hunt, Seth Allen Hunt and Stephen-Blake Hunt, all of Russellville; parents, Raymond (Gloria) Hunt of Plainview; sister, Carol (Jamie) Beavers of Clinton; brother, Stanley (Angela) Hunt of Russellville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service was March 2, 2013 at Plainview First Baptist Church in Plainview. Rev Mike Smith, Rev Monroe Hunt, and Rev Scott Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in Plainview by Humphrey Funeral Service. Pallbearers were Gary Morrison, Jeff Crites, Billy Hartnedy, Richard Roberts, Mike Martin, Keith Cogswell, Ted Weisenbach and Denver Dennis.
