Violet Juanelle Elsberry Holmes, age 74 of Casa, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born January 15, 1936 in Sugar Grove, AR to the late Samuel Rileigh and Francis Lela Chappell Elsberry. She was a homemaker and retired beautician and a member of Casa First Baptist.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jay Dee Holmes; sons, Ricky Jay and Tony Dale Holmes; brothers, J. C. and Chub Elsberry; brothers-in-law, Arlie Hanna, Sr., Joe Skidmore; sister-in-law, Helen Elsberry.
Survivors include Devan Hendrick Holmes of Newport, AR; sisters, Wilma Hanna of Dardanelle, Vada Skidmore of Sherwood, Ada & Brodie Watson of Maumelle; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Wanda Elsberry of Maumelle; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Geneva Holmes of Casa; several nieces and nephews.

Jewell L. Holstein, age 91, better known as Nana or Judy, of Russellville, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born December 29, 1915, at Lindsey, OK to James and Kate Williams Paul. She was the widow of Otis Arthur Holstein, having been married for 42 years.
She is preceded in death by her son, Doyle Holstein and a grandson, Otis "Pete" Roy Holstein.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Bain of Belleville; grandchildren, Craig "Buddy" Holstein of Florida, Leo Holstein of Pottsville, Brian Holstein of Belleville, Tammy Langston of Russellville; fourteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by each passing day. In our hearts and souls for her we pray.

Otis Roy "Pete" Holstein, age 48 of Belleville, died Saturday, February 22, 2003, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born September 7, 1954, in Yuba City, California.

Barbara D. Holt, 78, of Gentry passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 21, 2017, at her home. She was born February 14, 1939, in Detroit, MI to Ted and Lucille Lewis Rogers. Barbara was a homemaker. She was a former member of Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church. She could always be found digging in the dirt coaxing her flowers to bloom. Barbara was a steadfast friend who always made everyone feel like family, with an open door and a seat at her table.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Clayton Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Wes" Holt of the home; two daughters, Marta Holt of Gentry and Joelle Holt and husband, Kelly Bradford of Lawrence, KS.; two sons, Wes Holt and wife, Brooke of Gentry and Charles Holt and wife, Michele of Prairie Grove; 5 grandchildren, Joseph, Sierra, Jamie, Jaxson Holt and Harmony Wonsower; a sister-in-law, Wanda Rogers and her son, Clayton and his family; and her "Children of the Heart", Melodie Griffis, "The Knight Boys", Kenny and David Knight and Steven Ledlow. Byron C. Holt, age 88 of Belleville, AR died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born November 10, 1919 in Charleston, MS to the late Leroy Edwin and Phebia Jane Emmaline Crow Holt. He retired after 30 years as a supervisor for the felt mills industry, was a farmer and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Addie Belle Holt and a son, John Ford Holt.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Virgie Hunt Holt; two sons, Byron Ronald Holt of Shawnee, OK and Delbert Roy Hunt of Abbot, AR; four daughters, Gayla Beckwith of Midlothian, TX, Gwen Hulsey of Brilliant, AL, Marilyn Kay Horn of Danville, AR and Mary Ann Sims of Searcy, AR; a sister, Gertrude Peacock of Mississippi; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

John Edwin Holt, age 73 of Belleville, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009. He was born July 18, 1935 at Dutch Creek to the late Gurnia and Anna Chism Holt. He was a member of the Mt. George Church of Christ, a U. S. Navy Veteran and a County JP for 13 years. He was an avid thoroughbred horse trainer, a member of the Ola School Board for 18 years, the first Fan of the Year Recipient for the Ola Mustangs and coached pee wee ball during the 1970's and 1980's for the Ola Mustangs.

Minnie Faye Holt, 69, of Bellville, AR, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Danville, AR. The daughter of Jess and Ethel Standridge Freeman, she was born May 23, 1942 in Pelsor, Arkansas. She married Charles Holt on August 15, 1958 on Broomfield Road near Pleasant Grove. Minnie was of the Assembly of God faith. She enjoyed quilting, singing and playing the guitar. Her greatest love was her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Charles Holt, Jr. and Ronnie Holt; two brothers, Prentis and Vernon Freeman. Richard is survived by his wife of 44 years Elizabeth Ann Holt; son, Richard Scott Holt and wife Jenny; grandchildren, Katelynn and Megan Morris; sister, Barbara Potter of Wilmington and Nancy Corbin of Danville, AR; sisters-in-law Helen Ragsdale of Norfolk, VA, Ida Mae Keith, Geraldine Smith and husband Jay, Gail Dixon and husband Jimmy; brothers-in-law, Elbert Ray Barnhill, Joe Barnhill and wife Nell, Johnny Barnhill and wife Susan and Robert Thomas Barnhill. Many nieces and nephews and his favorite friend and pal Cougar. Richard graduated from New Hanover High School in 1963 and served in the Navy on the USS Kearsarge, later earning a Mechanical Journey Mans degree. He worked for Progress Energy for 23 years at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant and retired from Cape Fear Public Utility in 2011 after 10 years of service. Richard is best known for his outgoing personality and a wonderful sense of humor. He loved playing golf and watching NASCAR racing and spending time with his grandchildren.

The son of Charles and Minnie Faye Freeman Holt, he was born February 22, 1962 in Russellville. He was a self- employed truck driver and mechanic in the logging industry. Ronnie loved deer hunting and fishing, especially around Spring Lake and the Petit Jean River bottoms.
He is survived by his parents, Charles & Faye Holt of Belleville; a son, Garland Holt of Belleville; 3 sisters, Debbie Barnett & husband Johnny of Havana, Lisa Davis and husband Chris of Havana, and Jeanie Pemberton & husband Tony of Hector; and a brother, Charles Randell Holt of Belleville; the love of his life, Phyllis Chambers of Belleville; many nieces and nephews.

Vergie Holt, age 81 of Belleville, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Arkansas Heart Hospital. She was born December 6, 1929 in Waldron, AR to the late Riley H. & Eva Starr Vaughn.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Nolas Hunt and Byron Holt; brothers, Ed and Otis Vaughn; sister, Geneva Yandell.

Harlen E. Honeycutt, of Stigler, OK, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at his home. He was born December 31, 1957 at Fort Smith, AR to Herman and Margaret (Price) Honeycutt. He grew up in Yell County, AR. He received his education at Fourche Valley, Dardanelle, and Plainview-Rover Schools. His heart always stayed in Dardanelle where he lived the longest. He made his home in Houston, TX where he spent most of his working career. He made his home in Stigler in 1995. He was a wonderful gardener and took great pride in helping the elderly keep up their flower beds. He had a huge knowledge of types of flowers. He loved to fish and go boating with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Honeycutt and Margaret Price-Highfill-Pearce.
He is survived by his stepfather, Wayne Pearce of Stigler; three sisters, Retha and Louie Brown of Stigler, Gena and Larry Goff of Stigler, Anna and Davy Mullins of Plainview, AR; two brothers, Michael and Gail Honeycutt of Santa Fe, TX, Jeffery and Brenda Highfill of Plainview, AR; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial services were held Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Reverend Stacy Lisenbey officiating.

Ida Marie Honeycutt was born in Plainview, AR. on February 3, 1940 to P.K. and Julia George Smith. She was Born Again on April 5, 1953, and went home to be with her Lord on May 4, 2009. On June 15, 1963, she married James Honeycutt. She worked at numerous factories but retired from the Arkansas Arts Center, after seventeen years, as a security guard. She also wrote poetry and painted. Marie taught the Gleaners Sunday School Class, delivered Meals on Wheels, volunteered for Arkansas Hospice and the Plainview Community Library.
Survivors include her husband Jim; daughters, Karen & Bill Gilmore of Poplarville, MS. Kathy Ivy of Jacksonville, and Kristy & Jason Kordsmeier of Beebe; 14 grandchildren, many cousins & friends.

James T. "Jim" Honeycutt, age 67 of Casa, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born July 28, 1935 in Casa to the late Jack and Otha Tanner Honeycutt. He was a retired duty equipment operator, a member of the First Baptist Church in Casa and a Mason and a member of the Casa Masonic Lodge 537.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Ronald Honeycutt.

He was born on July 1, 1915 at Mediapolis, IA to Albion and Flossie Callaway Honson. He married Frances Lohmann Honson on February 18, 1938 at Burlington, IA. He retired as an owner and operator of the Senor Bob's Taco Hut in Russellville. He was a member of the Gideons Int. and worked in the Pope Co. Detention Center with the Russellville Chapter of the Gideons and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Russellville.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, one daughter, Janice Mendenhall, son-in-law, Larry Ward.

Arless Winford Hood, age 92, of Havana died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Mitchells Nursing Home in Danville. He was born November 25, 1919 in Pea Ridge, Arkansas to the late Rube and Alice Henry Hood. He was a WW II Army Veteran and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Hood; mother, Alice Henry Hood; parents, Rube and Laura Hood and three sisters.
