Farrow, Charles Charlie Hugh

Charles Charlie Hugh Farrow, age 44 of Delaware, a native of Belleville, was killed in a truck accident on Wednesday July 8, 2009 in Tushka, Oklahoma. Farrow was born November 18, 1964 in Danville, AR to Glen H. and Willa Emma York Farrow of Belleville. He was a truck driver for T. X. D. Trucking Co. in Morrilton.

According to Oklahoma State Police, Farrow was driving his semi south on Highway 69/75 when he crossed over into northbound traffic and clipped the rear end of an on-coming pickup. His truck traveled approximately 345 feet across a parking lot and 100 feet east of the center line before impacting a tree and storage building and bursting into flames. Police reports say that Farrow appeared to never hit his brakes or slow down after his truck left the south-bound lane. Tushka Police are still investigating the accident and say that there doesnt seem to be any skid marks in the parking lot. They said that could mean the brakes might have failed completely on the vehicle or that the driver could have lost consciousness before veering off the road. On colliding with the building, the truck exploded and the fire reached dozens of feet into the air. Witnesses stated that the explosion was exactly like a bomb going off, with the explosion from the front end of the truck. One eyewitness quoted on Oklahoma television stated that the fuel tanks didnt explode, but that the truck itself exploded from the front.
