James T. "Peeler" Aikman, age 70, of Bluffton, a retired county employee and cattleman, died Saturday. Aikman was a Baptist and a Mason.
Surviving are his wife Mrs. Etoil Magness Aikman; a son, Bruce Aikman of Waco, TX; a daughter, Mrs. Lou Ann Lewis, of Little Rock; a brother, Bill Aikman of Bluffton; a sister, Mrs. Allie Kendrick of Cerrogorda, and three grandchildren.

Jean Aikman, age 73, of Russellville, died Friday, August 26, 2006, at her home. A daughter of the late Ernest Leroy and Willie Gertrude Dennison Crutchfield, she was born October 21, 1932, in Nashville, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Nashville High School and attended Arkansas Tech University. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Russellville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother William Robert Crutchfield.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jim Aikman; two sons and daughters-in-law Jim B. Jr. and Audrey Aikman Russellville, and John C. and Amy Aikman of Russellville; two daughters and son-in-law, Jane Aikman and Clyde Tipton of Nairobi, Kenya, and Jill Aikman Bayless of Longview, Texas; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Jane Crutchfield Perkins of Nashville, Ernestine Nichols of Fort Worth, Texas and Beatrice Allen of Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
Funeral was held Monday, at Central Presbyterian Church in Russellville with the Rev. Ken Kalvesmaki officiating. Burial was in Briggs Family Cemetery near Briggsville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Mrs. Jessie E. Aikman, age 76 of Bluffton died Saturday, July 30, 1977 in the St. Vincent's Hospital at Little Rock. She was a native of Chicago, IL, the widow of the late Anson R. Aikman. She was a member of the Bluffton United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: a step-son, Thomas R. Aikman of Helena; a grandson, Daryl; niece, Mrs. Bob Wright of Western Springs, Illinois; several other nieces and nephews and three step-grandchildren of Virginia.
Mrs. Aikman was preceded in death just recently by her son, Anson R. Aikman, in Germany.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, in the Bluffton United Methodist Church with Rev. Royce Savage officiating. He was a United States Army LTC veteran of Korea and Vietnam, a member of the Military Officers Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Kiwanis, was a Mason and a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Crutchfield Aikman.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim B. NEWPORT NEWS - June F. Aikman, 60, died Friday, March 3, in her home. She was a native of Petersburg and Peninsula resident for six months. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Petersburg, and Order of Eastern Star No. 580 Gravelly, Ark.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonny K. Hathoway, Evanston, Ill., and Scarlett Carty of Wheeling, Ill.; two sons, Charles T. Pitts of Newport News and K.D. Dredge of Houston; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Weymouth Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. R. Marvin White. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Mr. James Edward Aikman, 64, Bluffton, departed this life August 10. When he was a small child his parents moved from Louisiana to near Bluffton where he spent the remainder of his life. When 23 years of age he was married to Miss Sallie Ann Gibbs, Gibbs Ark. To this union was born six children all of whom survive. Captain Anson in the service, Belleville, Ill.; Jim T. and Bill, Bluffton.; Mrs. Ellie Kendrick, Carro Gordo, Okla.; Mrs. R. C. Jones, Ft. Smith; and Herman, Fort Rockman, Mass. Four brothers, Luther, Rogers, Chester, San Francisco, Calif., George, San Antonio, Texas, and Rosco, Dumas, and two sisters, Mrs. Richard Jones, Gravelly, Mrs. Ben Daniels, Dumas, and 12 grandchildren. In 1930 he was married to Mrs.
Cora Russell, who survived him as also does Lucy Jayne, his stepdaughter of the home. Mr. Aikman, a member of the Methodist Church and an active member of the Masonic Lodge, has been a merchant and Postmaster at Bluffton for more than 23 years.
Services were in the front yard under the large oak tree and a great crowd was present to pay tne deserved tribute of respect to the memory of Mr. Aikman. Flowers were many and very beautiful. William Forrest (Bill) Aikman, age 85, of Bluffton died Sunday, October 30, 1988, at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. He was a retired farmer, a merchant and a 64 year member of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge. He was the son of the late James and Sally Gibbs Aikman and a member of the Bluffton Methodist church, a 32 Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rites.
Survivors include his wife Anna Bogle Aikman, three sons, Jim Aikman of Russellville, Loy Aikman of White Hall and Larry Aikman of Solgohachia; one daughter, Virginia McCartney of Little Rock; one sister Allie Kendrick of Cerro Gorda and a stepsister, Lucy Wood of Bluffton. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Bluffton Methodist Church Monday with the Rev. Edd Kerr and the Rev. Royce Savage officiating. Interment was at the Briggs Cemetery. HAVANA - Charles C. Ake, age 69, of Havana died Friday, January 18, 1985 at the Yell County Hospital. He was born in Bronte, Texas and was the son of the late Charles Jefferson Ake and Sally Elizabeth Stewart Ake. He was a retired cattleman and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Lea Perkins Ake; two SONS, Bill Ake of Conway and Jim Ake of Tulsa, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Nora Lee Perkins Ake, 95, currently of Mitchell's Nursing Home and Parkview Manor, died July 10, 2011 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born June 25, 1916 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Lee and Liza Perkins. She was married to Charles C. Ake and they made their home in Havana, Arkansas for 35 years where she was active in the PTA and the Havana EH Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, William J. and Sandra Ake of Conway and James and Janet Ake of Danville; three grandsons, James C. Ake, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Joseph Russell Ake and wife Carrie of Portland, OR, and William Jeremy Ake and wife Nikki of Ft. Leavenworth, KS and one great- grandson, Liam Ake, also of Ft. Leavenworth, KS. Prior to moving back to Arkansas in 2005, she lived in Pauls Valley, OK for 19 years where she is survived by several nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and great-great nephews and nieces. Dean H. Albertson age 72 of Dardanelle died, Sunday, January 27, 2002 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born April 29, 1930 in Ridgeway, Iowa to the late Herbert C. and Maude M. Blomgren Albertson. He was a retired employee of Rath Packing Company in Boston, Ma., a Korean Navy veteran and a member of the V. F. W. Post 1623 in Waterloo, Iowa.
Survivors are two brothers, his twin, Dale R. Albertson of Waterloo, Iowa, Larry A. Albertson of Galveston, Texas; two sisters, Clarice M. Rose and Margaret A. Kirchmann both of Waterloo, Iowa.

Jo Ellen "Mama Jo" (Moss) Robberson-Albinson, 77, of Russellville, formerly of Plainview, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The daughter of the late Jewel Moss and Ada Lee [Chesney) Moss, she was born November 12, 1937, in Plainview. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Plainview. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister with a kind giving heart. She had a strong love for her family and for singing praise to her Lord and Savior in her beautiful alto voice. She retired in 2009 from the Army National Guard in Little Rock as a civilian employee.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years, Delano Gerald Robberson; second husband of 10 years, Alvin Albinson; her parents; siblings, Lillian D. Moss, J.L. Moss, lva Nell Reeves Woody; and a nephew, Richard Worsham.

Bernice Wilkerson Albright, age 87, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, August 6, 1985 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Services were held Thursday, Aug. 8, at 11:00 a.m., at Ralph Robinson & Son Mortuary with Rev. John F. Walker officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
She was born in Rover, and reared in Rover and Plainview. She was the daughter of John H. and Lula Ellen Parker Wilkerson. She worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal during World War II and was a voting precinct judge for many years. She was a member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Ethele Kerr Await Albright, aged 76, of 3516 Cypress Street, North Little Rock, widow of W. H. Albright, died Sunday at a Little Rock hospital. She formerly was employed by the Home Owners Loan Corporation and the Gulf Refining Company. She was a member of the Park Hill Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Loy C. Gibson of North Little Rock and Mrs. Robert A. Medearis of Little Rock: two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Cook of Maryville, Mo., and Mrs. Earl E. Fisher of Cherryvale, Kan., and two grandsons.

Herchel Kirby Albright, aged 73, of Belleville died Friday, March 8. He was a retired state Highway Department employee, a member of the Salem Methodist Church, a veteran of World War I and, a member of the American Legion.

Joe Bryan Albright, Jr. age 79, of Hot Springs, AR died Friday, May 18, 2001 in a local Hot Springs hospital. He was born August 15, 1921 in Plainview, AR to J. B. and Ida Albright. He was a member of the Plainview Methodist Church since the age of nine. He graduated from Plainview-Rover High School, served three and a half years in the United States Air Force during World War II, and was a member of the DAV and American Legion. He was employed at several government installations, including Hanford, Washington and Paducah, Kentucky. He was a construction superintendent during the building of the Keystone Dam in Tulsa, OK. He retired as a civilian employee of the Navy at Vallejo, CA. He spent his retirement years in Plainview and Hot Springs. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, Mildred Bradford and one brother, Roger Albright.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Natalie Albright; his daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Al Chiarpotti of Reno, NV and Hot Springs; his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and June Albright of Walnut Creek, CA; two grandsons, Tony and Tim Phipps and one granddaughter, Nicole Albright. A celebration of his life will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area June 1, 2001. Gross Funeral Home is in charge of cremation. Mrs. Lou Albright, aged 86 years, wife of Mr. S. G. Albright, died at the family residence Friday, December 8, 1920 after an illness of more than 2 years. Mrs. Albright was born in Dunlap, Tenn. She was married to Mr. Samuel Gordon Albright in Ringgold, Catoosa County, Ga., on December 6, 1866. Mr. and Mrs. Albright moved to Yell County in the fall of 1870 since which time they have continue to reside here at different times making their home at Bluffton, Rover, Ola, Danville, and Dardanelle. Mrs. Albright was a woman of high Christian character, a devout and consecrated member of the Methodist Church throughout her long and useful time practiced the of sympathy, love and kindness for lifes unfortunates. She was a good and true woman in all that the term implies, and in her death she is sincerely and sorely mourned by all who knew her.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. H. H. Griffin assisted by Rev. Jas. I. Paisley and Rev. T. T. Thompson was held at 2:00 oclock Saturday afternoon, Jan 1st, 1921, interment being in Brearley Cemetery.
Mrs. Albright is survived by her husband, one son, W. H. Albright, and two daughters, Mrs. Seth Boles and Mrs. Kitty Gooch, all of this city.

Louise Corene Albright, 97, of Waveland, AR, passed away August 24, 2012 at the Methodist Nursing Home in Fort Smith, AR. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. AR with visitation following the service. Burial will be at Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Waveland, AR at 3:00 p.m. She was born June 3, 1915 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Jossie Viola and Ira Rae Young. In 1918, the family left Kansas and established a homestead on a small farm in Grant County, OK. She grew up in the community of Medford, OK and graduated from Medford High School in 1933. She married Louis Edward Albright of Pond Creek, OK on August 12, 1935 and established a home in the Eddie Community where they engage in farming. In 1958 they moved to a farm in Arkansas. She was a retired Wolverine Toy press operator. She loved gardening, reading and quilting. She was a member of the Waveland Community Church and was an active member of the Yell County Extension Club and was recently named an Honorary Member. Mrs.
Albright was preceded in death by her husband Louis Edward Albright; her parents, Jossie and Ira Young; brothers, James Rae Young and Robert Ralph Young; grandson, Eddie Swilling and son-in-law, David Selman.
She is survived by children, Robert Louis Albright and Janet of Baytown, TX; Linda Lou Dobbins and Tommy of Brandon, MS; Donald Ray Albright and Lola of Waveland, AR; and Peggy Selman of Fort Smith, AR; seven grandchildren, Toni Belinda Dobbins, Tad Dobbins and Tracy Dobbins of Brandon, MS, Jodie Davis and Paul of Greenwood, AR, Kelly Russell of Edmond, OK, Troy Albright and Donna of Edmond, OK, Aaron Albright and Sherry of Waveland, AR and Christopher Albright of Baytown, TX; thirteen great grandchildren, Jessie Brunett, Nathan Brunett, Danielle Dobbins, Shannon Dobbins, Mariah Dobbins, Shelby Albright, Joshua Davis, Maggie Davis, Samantha Curl Flowers, Cody Curl, Jossie Marie Albright, Carley Brooke Albright and Cyleigh Sha Albright. (3 March 1903 7 Oct 1935 - Salem Cemetery) Mr. N. G. Albright, aged 32, son of the late Dr. J. L. Albright of Plainview, died October 7th, 1935, and was laid to rest in the Salem Cemetery. He was married to Miss Ruby Smith of Plainview on June 19th, 1928. One child was born to them.
Mr. Albright had been ill for several years, being a patient in the Booneville Sanitorium for more than four years. He had been home for the past 26 months. He was an upright, honorable young man and his untimely death is deeply deplored by a wide circle of friends. He was laid to rest with Masonic Honors, being a faithful, zealous member of that fraternity. He was also a member of the Grotto.

Natalie Albright of Hot Springs died August 15, 2010. She was born at Pottsville, Arkansas on December 16, 1923. Her parents were Frank and Effie Breshears Boggess. She grew up in Plainview, Arkansas. After graduation from Plainview High School, she attended secretarial school in Little Rock. She married her high school sweetheart Joe Albright in December of 1942. They were married for 58 years until his death in May of 2001. Natalie was a member of the Plainview Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She always shared, with us, her memories of growing up in rural Arkansas. A special memory for her was spending many summers of her youth with her family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins on Mt. Nebo.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Chiarpotti and son-in-law Al Chiarpotti of Hot Springs; one son, Dan Albright and daughter-in-law June Albright of Van Nuys, California; her granddaughter, Nicole Albright of Laguna Beach, California; her grandsons Tony Phipps of Hot Springs, Tim Phipps and wife Lanie Phipps and great-granddaughter Lily Phipps of Meadow Vista, California; two brothers Bob Boggess of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Bill Boggess of Chicago, Illinois.

Mrs. Ula Shelton Albright, 78, of Route 1, Belleville died Sunday, July 8, at Dardanelle Hospital. She was a native of Adona (Perry County), widow of H.K. Albright, daughter of the late Eugene and Lula Myrick Shelton, and a member of the United Methodist Church.

Mr. Waddie H. Albright, of Fort Smith, aged 73, retired Ft. Smith business man, died in a Little Rock hospital at 8:30 p.m., yesterday. Mr. Albright was for many years, a resident of Dardanelle.
